<p align="justify">Coconut (<em>Cocos nucifera</em> L.) is one of the most developed plantation commodities in West Kalimantan. However, the coconut has a problem with the structure of agribusiness, namely the alignment (integration) that is closely related to the availability of the coconut. This research aims to see the level of proximity of coconut regional market relationship with other regional markets in West Kalimantan represented by Bengkayang Regency, Mempawah, and Sambas district, which analyzed using vector autoregression (VAR) to examine the long-term relationship.  The integration of coconut production in Bengkayang, Mempawah, and Sambas districts was analyzed using the Granger causality test. The data used is the annual quantitative secondary data for 14 years in the time range between 2004 and 2017, which must be stationary at the first difference level. This study showed that West Kalimantan's production experienced some two-way causality relationship and some only one way. Production of Bengkayang affects Sambas, but the production of Sambas does not affect the production of Bengkayang. This finding indicates a one-way causality relationship. It is suggested that the government needs to add and improve infrastructure facilities for market players, and market players must follow production method information through electronic media or related institutions (for example, Department of Agriculture). </p>

This study aims to determine the one-way causality relationship between foreign investment and economic growth, a one-way causality relationship between economic growth and foreign investment, and a two-way causality relationship between foreign investment and economic growth in Indonesia. This was conducted in Indonesia, the data are secondary data taken using the method time series from 1971 to 2018 from the official websites, the Investment Coordinating Board, and literature sources, Foreign Investment and Gross Domestic Product. (1) in the long run the Economic Growth variable has a significant effect on Foreign Direct Investment, and vice versa; and (2) the Foreign Direct Investment variable has a significant effect on Economic Growth; (3) in the short term, the Economic Growth variable has an influence on Foreign Direct Investment, and vice versa; and the Foreign Direct Investment variable has an influence on Economic Growth. It is possible to have a better long-term relationship, bringing positive impact on economic growth in Indonesia when investment in Indonesia increases. Conversely, when economic growth decreases, it means that foreign investment is also low. Granger Causality test, shows a two-way causality relationship between Economic Growth and Foreign Direct Investment and vice versa. It is necessary to maintain growth to attract foreign direct investment, as well as foreign investment. Investment climate needs to be improved enabling to invest in Indonesia.

Economic growth, the tourism sector, inequality in income distribution and poverty are economic variables used to see the success of a region's development. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the independent variables, namely economic growth, the tourism sector, inequality in income distribution, and the dependent variable on poverty in Badung Regency. This study uses secondary data with multiple linear regression analysis techniques, and previously conducted the Granger causality test to see the causal relationship between variables. The results showed that simultaneously economic growth, the tourism sector and inequality had a significant effect on poverty. Partially only the tourism sector that affects poverty. The results of the Granger causality analysis show that there is a one-way relationship between the tourism sector and poverty, there is no causality relationship between poverty and economic growth and there is no causality relationship between income inequality and poverty.

In order to objectively analyze contribution of logistic operations to Jamaica’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), we perform the Granger causality test. This test was used to determine the relationship among Gross Domestic Product (as a dependent variable) and Government Income, Trade, FDI inflow and the Exchange rate (as independent variables). The Granger causality test produced evidence of a bidirectional causality relationship which suggests that FDI’s influence on efficiency lies in the government relaxing its dependency on the mining industry for economic growth. fdi logistics

In 2019, exactly one decade of the government expenditure on education in Indonesia (central and local government) was allocated 20 percent. The purpose of this study was to analyze the causality relationship between government budget on education, education success (proxied by the mean years of schooling), and poverty (proxied by the number of poor people) in Indonesia. The data analyzed is secondary data, to be precise panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia over a period of five years (2015-2019). The analysis technique used is the Granger Causality Test. The results showed that the government budget on education had a significant effect on the mean years of schooling and had a causal relationship with poverty. Meanwhile, poverty has been shown to affect the mean years of schooling. Based on the results of this analysis, it is for the government to consistently prioritize the budget for the education sector because it is proven to have an impact on education success and poverty alleviation. In addition, the government also needs to pursue poverty alleviation programs such as subsidizing cash assistance for student in poverty.

This research investigated the cointegration and causal relationships between children’s quality and quantity in Nigeria. The research was based on secondary data obtained from the World Development Indicator database (1980-2014), United Nations Statistics Division's Statistical Yearbook, and the UNESCO Institute for statistics online database. Children’s quality denoted by the education of the child was proxied by government education expenditure and life expectancy rate, while the quantity of the children denoted by the size of the family was proxied by total fertility rate, infant mortality rate, and the adolescent fertility rate. For analysis, Augmented Dickey Fuller unit root test, Johansen-Juselius cointegration analysis, and Granger causality tests were conducted. Johansen-Juselius cointegration test results indicate that there is a long-term relationship among the selected variables. Meanwhile, the Granger causality test shows that the causation between the quality and quantity of children is both unidirectional and bi-directional depending on the variable of the quantity of children. The quantity of the children is the cause in the unidirectional causation. Furthermore, a trade-off is established between the quality and quantity of children. Therefore, the policies of the government in encouraging and promoting the reduction of the rate of fertility should be pursued further for an increased level of education of the child.
