Hand sanitizers, handsoaps, and disinfectants (H2D) have become necessities in a new normal during the Covid-19 pandemic. These three items are necessary to use in daily activities to prevent the spread of Covid-19. One of the efforts to successfully adopt a new normal is to educate the youth on preventing the spread of Covid-19. Workshop and education on making simple H2D at SMK Negeri 3 Kotabumi have been held through outreach activities and hands-on practice. The goal of this activity is to increase the students knowledge of SMK Negeri 3 Kotabumi in living a new lifestyle to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in North Lampung Regency. The result of this educational program is an increase in the knowledge of students of SMK Negeri 3 Kotabumi about H2D in terms of composition, making, and use. Besides, through the workshop program, students of SMK Negeri 3 Kotabumi also acquire skills in making simple H2D. Through presentation and direct practice, students of SMK Negeri 3 Kotabumi have been educated to become new lifestyle agents to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in North Lampung Regency.

ABSTRAKTangan merupakan bagian tubuh yang paling sering bersentuhan dengan permukaan obyek di sekitar kegiatan manusia, yang tentunya akan sangat rentan sebagai pembawa kuman dan pathogen termasuk virus covid-19 yang saat ini menjadi musuh terbesar dunia. Untuk mendukung kegiatan sosial manusia, mencuci tangan dengan sabun merupakan salah satu langkah sanitasi yang dianjurkan di era new normal ini untuk mencegah penyebaran dan penularan covid-19. Sehingga, sabun cuci tangan dapat dikategorikan sebagai kebutuhan pokok. Bertepatan dengan memperingati “Hari Cuci Tangan Sedunia”, maka kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi edukasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan langkah mencuci tangan dengan benar untuk mencegah penyakit dan hidup yang aman di era new normal Kata kunci: sabun; mencuci tangan; new normal. ABSTRACTHands are part of body which touch hundreds of surfaces stuff a day which contain all kind of  germs in the middle of our activities. But it might not realize just how much pathogens cause diseases especially COVID-19 that seriously case in the world. To support daily activities of society, washing hands is one of the best sanitation defences to against spread and infectious COVID-19 in this new era. So that, the important role played by hand hygiene is routinely washing hand with soap. To advocacy Global Handwashing Day in October 15, this program of activities for the community dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases and save live in new normal era. Keywords: soap; washing hand; new normal.

Pandemi Virus Corona (Covid-19) telah terjadi di dunia dan melanda juga Indonesia. Korban meninggal dunia di Indonesia sudah mencapai 6021 orang per tanggal 14 Agustus 2020 (www.covid19.go.id). Penambahan positif Covid-19 sebanyak 2377 kasus, hal ini menunjukkan Covid-19 merupakan masalah serius. Obat maupun vaksin Covid-19 masih dalam tahap penelitian dan uji coba. Pencegahan dan pemutusan penyebaran Covid-19 merupakan upaya yang lebih baik daripada pengobatan. Penerapan protokol kesehatan merupakan upaya pemutusan Covid-19. Salah satu media penyebaran penyakit adalah tangan setelah melakukan berbagai aktivitas. Cuci tangan dengan hand sanitizer meruakan salah satu pola hidup baru dalam era new normal. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Prodi teknik Elektro Universitas Pamulang (UNPAM) yang berlokasi di Musholla Al Ikhlas Jln. H. Rean Pamulang Tangsel berupa pembuatan hand sanitizer otomatis. Hand sanitizer otomatis ini dilengkapi sensor ultrasonic untuk mendeteksi adanya suatu benda yang mendekat pada kasus ini contohnya adalah tangan. Alat ini dapat bekerja ketika user mengarahkan tangannya kearah sensor ultrasonic dan sensor ultrasonic mendeteksi adanya tangan. Mode otomatis dirancang bekerja secara otomatis untuk mengalirkan cairan hand sanitizer, dan mengarahkan cairan tersebut ke tangan pengguna. Para peserta PKM begitu antusias mengikuti pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer otomatis. Momen ramadhan juga dimanfaatkan untuk pemberian santunan anak yatim dan pembagian sembako kepada para dhuafa terdampak Covid-19. Pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer otomatis dan pembagian santunan anak yatim serta pembagian sembako untuk dhuafa merupakan rangkaian PKM yang berjalan sukses dan lancar.

Tatanan Hidup Baru (New Normal) dimasa pandemi COVID-19 memberikan pengalaman yang benar-benar baru bagi dunia pendidikan khususnya siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Indonesia. Kewajiban untuk taat protokoler kesehatan yang salah satu klausulnya adalah tidak berkerumun dan menjauhi krumunan menjadikan kegiatan belajar mengajar sangat tidak biasa. Tidak ada tatapmuka baik dengan guru ataupun teman, semua dilakukan secara daring (online). Hal tersebut membuat pelajar mempunyai waktu luang yang banyak dan cenderung tanpa pengawasan baik dari orang tua maupun guru. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengoptimalkan waktu luang siswa dengan manajemen waktu di masa normal baru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR). Tahapan penting dalam PAR adalah Research (pemetaan masalah), Action (rencana aksi dalam penyelesaian masalah) and Participatory (orang tua dan siswa SD di Desa Desekan). Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, survei, dokumen dan wawancara. Pendampingan diharapakan dapat membantu siswa memahami pentingnya manajemen waktu dengan membuat jadwal kegiatan harian sehingga siswa dapat memanage waktunya dengan efektif dan efisien. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah para siswa belum memahami dengan baik mengenai manajemen waktu dan banyak menghabiskan waktu dengan dawai dan bermain yang tidak berhubungan dengan pendidikan. Kata kunci: Tatanan Hidup Baru, COVID-19, Manajemen Waktu, PAR ABSTRACT The New Living Order (New Normal) during the COVID-19 pandemic provided a completely new experience for the world of education, especially elementary school students in Indonesia. The obligation to comply with the Health protocol makes learning without face-to-face either with teachers or friends and everything is done online. This makes students have a lot of free time and tends to be without supervision from either parents or teachers. The aim of this service is to optimize students' free time with time management in the new normal. The method used in this study uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The important stages in PAR are Research (mapping problems), Action (action plans in solving problems) and Participatory (participation of parents and elementary students in Desekan village). The technique of collecting data was carried out by observation, surveys, documents and interviews. It is hoped that mentoring can help students understand the importance of time management by scheduling daily activities so that students can manage their time effectively and efficiently. The conclusion of this dedication is that the students do not understand well about time management and spend a lot of time with strings and games that are not related to education. The number of Covid 19 cases is increasing and cannot be ignored considering the increase every day continues to increase. The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic has an impact on various fields, especially the economy. To avoid the increasing number of sufferers, the government limits activities that cause crowds, maintains distance and maintains hygenicity in the community in carrying out daily activities known as health protocol regulations. The behavior and actions of the community must change completely from the usual actions that are often carried out, for that it is necessary to have socialization on how to prevent the transmission of Covid 19 by implementing the health protocol that has been advised by the government. The purpose of this community service activity is to remind and help public understanding of the implementation of health protocols during the Covid 19 pandemic. The form of activities is in the form of counseling, giving hand sanitizers and masks. Lack of public awareness and knowledge about Covid-19 can be overcome by providing knowledge, through socialization about the importance of implementing this activity protocol in order to help people face New normal conditions, by helping people live by complying with health protocols. The results of the activity obtained the enthusiasm of the residents in following the activity until the end with the many questions asked. The purpose of the 230 KKN BBM group activity period 62 is to educate and prepare the public in facing and responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our method is to create two online seminar sessions, where in the first online seminar session the topic we raised was about "new normal" which aims to let the public know in more detail how and what the rules are in the new normal policy and can prepare themselves to face the policy and not misunderstand about new normal. Then our second online seminar raised the topic "maintaining immunity and dental hygiene" which aims to explain how steps need to be taken to maintain immunity especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic, as well as knowledge about how to care for cleanliness. teeth and mouth. By using the questionnaire attached after the activities of each online seminar it was found that the majority of participants who attended the seminar were more aware of the "new normal" policy and also knew how to increase body immunity during the Covid-19 pandemic. And the majority of participants felt the information obtained was useful and would apply it in everyday life. And we also carry out social activities directly to the community with the target of street vendors, namely by distributing masks and hand sanitizers in the Sungai Bambu area, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta while increasing the community to also run and undergo a "new normal" policy. abstrakTujuan kegiatan kelompok 230 KKN BBM periode 62 adalah untuk mengedukasi dan memperisapkan masyarakat dalam menghadapi dan menanggapi pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang kami lakukan adalah dengan membuat dua sesi seminar online, dimana pada sesi seminar online yang pertama topik yang kami angkat adalah tentang “new normal” yang bertujuan agar masyarakat dapat mengetahui lebih detail bagaimana dan apa saja aturan-aturan yang ada pada kebijakan new normal serta bisa mempersiapkan diri untuk menghadapi kebijakan tersebut dan tidak salah memahami tentang new normal. Lalu seminar online kami yang kedua mengangkat tentang  topik “menjaga imunitas tubuh dan kebersihan gigi” yang betujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana langkah-langkah yang perlu dilakukan untuk menjaga imunitas tubuh terutama pada saat pandemi COVID-19 saat ini, serta diberikan juga pengetahuan mengenai cara merawat kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Dengan menggunakan kuosioner yang dilampirkan setelah kegiatan masing- masing seminar online didapatkan bahwa mayoritas dari para peserta yang mengikuti seminar lebih mengetahui tentang kebijakan “new normal” serta juga mengetahui cara meningkatkan imunitas tubuh selama pandemic Covid-19. Dan mayoritas peserta merasa informasi yang didaptkan berguna dan akan mengaplikasikanya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Serta kami juga melakukan kegiatan sosial secara langsung ke masyarakat dengan target pedagang kaki lima, yaitu dengan cara   membagikan masker dan hand sanitizer di area Sungai Bambu, Kecamatan Tanjung Priok ,Jakarta Utara sambil mengingkatkan masyrakat untuk juga menjalankan dan menjalani kebijakan “new normal”.

Kota Bau – Bau terletak pada selat Buton yang mempunyai aktivitas kelautan yang sangat tinggi, berperan sebagai titik transit sekaligus daerah penghubung bagi jalur nasional sekunder. Coronavirus adalah zoonosis atau virus yang ditularkan antara hewan dan manusia. Penyebaran penyakit ini telah memberikan dampak luas secara sosial dan ekonomi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai pencegahan dan penanganan covid-19. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi kegiatan daring maupun luring seperti edukasi kepada masyarakat melalui video penyuluhan, pembagian masker, Hand sanitizer, dan pembagian Alat pelindung Diri. Kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini melibatkan seluruh elemen masyarakat secara bersama-sama, bersinergi, multidisiplin, dan bermitra sehingga dapat membantu mengendalikan penyebaran Covid 19 dan menurunkan jumlah kasus diwilayah Kota Bau Bau. Program kerja yang dilaksanakan berdasarkan potensi dan permasalahan yang ada di Kota Bau Bau. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa edukasi penanganan dan pencegahan Covid 19  dan penerapan protokol kesehatan di era new normal, pendistribusian masker kain, pendistribusian hand sanitizer, pembuatan sarana cuci tangan, serta pembagian alat pelindung diri bagi tenaga medis di kota Bau Bau. Capaian dan luaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pencegahan Covid 19 dan penerapan protokol kesehatan, peningkatan penerapan Pola Hidup Bersih dan Sehat, tersedianya Alat Pelindung Diri bagi tenaga kesehatan khususnya pada puskesmas dan rumah sakit.

In the midst of ongoing pandemic and the start of New Normal, the community is required to comply with health protocols when doing their daily activities. This will changes almost all aspects and order in society so that adaptation is needed. Many people feel burdened because it will limit themselves to show off, to develop skills, and even limiting their income. Therefore, they refuse to follow protocols and assume New Normal means returning back to normal. Community perspective on the understanding of New Normal and how to adapt which is sometimes not appropriate will make it difficult to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, we held a Community Service Program in the form of WEBINAR, online seminar education which is practical and doesn’t need to gather people crowds. This WEBINAR aims to revise people’s perspectives on New Normal and to give the correct adaptation methods. Moreover, this WEBINAR is also about ways to develop themselves and create innovations during this pandemic, given there are social, communication, and transportation restriction. The WEBINAR was held online using the Zoom meeting platform and was held on June 18th 2020 at 19.00 WIB with the speaker namely Ms. Ayu Tarantika Indreswari, S.Farm., Apt. The WEBINAR was attended by more than 100 participants from various cities and was dominated by teenagers. The goals of the following WEBINAR is increase the understanding and awareness of the community in implementing New Normal without limiting it to still look beautiful, stay healthy, and still earn a living. Of course, the correct adaptation of New Normal will help prevent the spread of COVID-19.abstrakDi tengah masa pandemi yang masih berlangsung dan dimulainya New Normal, masyarakat dituntut untuk tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan dalam beraktivitas sehari-hari. Hal ini mengubah hampir sebagian aspek dan tatanan dalam masyarakat sehingga adaptasi sangat diperlukan. Banyak dari masyarakat yang merasa terbebani akan hal itu karena akan membatasi mereka dalam menampilkan diri, mengembangkan bakat, dan bahkan membatasi penghasilan mereka. Sehingga dengan berbagai alasan tersebut mereka menolak mengikuti protokol New Normal dan menganggap New Normal berarti kembali seperti normal. Perspektif masyarakat mengenai pengertian New Normal dan cara menerapkannya yang terkadang belum tepat akan menyulitkan upaya pencegahan penyebaran kasus COVID-19. Oleh karena itu, kami mengadakan program KKN berupa WEBINAR, seminar edukasi daring yang praktis tanpa harus mengumpulkan kerumunan orang di lapangan. WEBINAR ini bertujuan untuk meluruskan perspektif masyarakat mengenai New normal dan cara adaptasi yang benar. Selain itu, WEBINAR ini juga mengenai cara untuk mengembangkan diri dan menciptakan inovasi di masa pandemi, menghingat terdapat pembatasan sosial, komunikasi, dan transportasi. WEBINAR diadakan secara daring dengan menggunakan platform meeting Zoom dan dilaksanakan pda tanggal 18 Juni 2020 pukul 19.00 WIB dengan pemateri yaitu Kak Ayu Tarantika Indreswari., S.Farm., Apt. WEBINAR diikuti 118 peserta dari berbagai kota, dan didominasi oleh remaja. Diharapkan dengan adanya WEBINAR berikut, akan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menerapkan New Normal tanpa membatasi untuk tetap tampil cantik, tetap sehat, dan tetap berinovasi. Tentunya, penerapan New Normal yang benar akan membantu mencegah penyebaran COVID-19.

The 67th Annual Meeting of the Microscopy Society of America, held in conjunction with our co-sponsoring societies, will take place in Richmond, Virginia in late July. Now widely known as Microscopy and Microanalysis, this meeting provides the MSA membership with a useful overview of many diverse activities involving microscopy and microanalysis that are of topical interest. In addition to symposia devoted to a range of contemporary topics in the biological and physical sciences, as well as advances in instrumentation, the meeting program will include a set of “Back to Basics” Tutorials, and continuations of the highly successful In-Meeting Intensive Workshops, and the special “Family Affair”, which provides hands-on activities and demonstrations aimed at children of all ages. MSA Council is concerned to reach out to more people in the wider community who utilize microscopes of many shapes and forms in their daily activities, and these developments are just part of our ongoing educational and outreach efforts in this direction.

This research discloses how character education builds students’ character at SekolahAlam Minangkabau and SekolahAlamAr-Royyan Padang, so students not only have knowledge capabilities but also provide character social attitudes. This is a qualitative typified research. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The validity of the data was examined through the triangulation method while Miles and Huberman’s theory of analysis were used in analyzing the data. The results of the research suggest that: The characters of the students in both schools are religious, tolerant, obedient, diligent, creative, independent, curious, communicative, ecofriendly, and responsive. The students’ character is built through macro and micro strategies. The varieties of the character education used in both schools include the curriculum, facility, educational program, extracurricular as well as the time and the way the character education is implemented. The students’ parents view the character education as a support for them in developing their children’s personality,itinfluences the students’ daily activities outside the schools,and moreover, it alsoestablishes a good communication between the teacher and the students’ parents.
