Abstract Background With the COVID-19 pandemic, the clinical practice of physicians who work in the head and neck field in Brazil dropped dramatically. The sustained impact of the pandemic is not known. Methods An anonymous online survey was distributed to Brazilian otolaryngologists, head and neck surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, asking about their clinical practice in the third to fourth months of the pandemic. Results The survey was completed by 446 specialists. About 40% reported reduction of more than 75% in outpatient care. A reduction of 90% to 100% in airway endoscopies was reported by 50% of the responders, and the same rate of reduction regarding surgeries (pediatric or nasosinusal) was reported by 80% of them. Family income decreased by 50%, and the psychological burden on physicians was considerable. The availability of personal protective equipment and safety precautions were limited, especially in the public sector. Conclusion COVID-19 is still impacting the head and neck field, and safety concerns may hinder the prompt resumption of elective care.

UNSTRUCTURED During COVID-19, the clinical and healthcare demands have been on the rapid rise. Major challenges to addressing the pandemic include a lack of testing kits and shortages of ventilators to treat severe cases of COVID-19, insufficient accessibility to personal protective equipment for both hospitals and the public. New technologies have been developed by scientists, researchers, and companies in response to these demands. In this paper, 90 news articles and scientific reports on COVID-19-related innovations during 2020-2021 were screened and shortlisted to form a pool of candidates yielding a total of 20 publications for review which were then categorized into three sections: personal protective equipment, testing methods, and medical treatments. Each study was analyzed for its engineering characteristics and potential social impact on the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the guidelines for future disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment were summarized and discussed.

The power blackout on 4th August 2019 in Banten, Jakarta, West Java, few areas of Central Java caused lots of impacts to citizens. This case is directly related to the public interest, so that the majority of mass media including cyber media reported related information. The purpose of this study is to describe how Okezone.com constructs controversial facts or issues to frame a story into news and to discuss how to apply the Journalistic Code of Ethics (KEJ) in framing the news. The theory used is news as media content as well as online media and journalism. This research is approaching qualitative descriptive with Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki framing model analysis method, the author then examines the application of KEJ clause 1 to 4 in the framing data of the related news. The results showed that Okezone.com framed the coverage of the August 4th, 2019 power blackout using the principle of covering both sides. Okezone.com packed controversial issues related to the point of view that cornered and lended negative public opinion to PLN. Then, Okezone.com was still quite good in applying KEJ clause 1 to 4, because only the rules of clause 2 are indicated to be ignored in the reporting of electricity blackout on August 4th, 2019.

The public transportation model which is currently widely used by people who live in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (JABODETABEK) is the Commuter-Line Electric Train (KRL). According to online media sources(http://Kompas.com 2 December 2015), currently, the JABODETABEK Commuter-Line KRL can carry 900,000 passengers every day. Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) is a braking system that maintains the position of the wheels and the road to prevent tire/wheel slip. Anti Lock Braking System was first used or applied to aircraft. Vehicles that are not equipped with the Anti-lock Braking System must be updated. The driver makes optimal braking to prevent slip between the wheels and the road or rail so that the vehicle stops perfectly. In this paper, we will use fuzzy inference logic to support an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Fuzzy inference is a logical method because when determining variables in the fuzzy method, the variable must have an International Standard (SI).

Laburpena: Jardun moldagarria funtsezkoa da erakundeentzat, inguruneko eskaeretara egokitzeko gaitasuna ezinbestekoa delako, batez ere krisi-garaian edo aldaketa teknologiko, ekonomiko edo laboralen garaian. Artikulu honek jardun moldagarria kontzeptuaren berrikuspen teorikoa ematen du, bai eta beste konstruktuekin eta antolaketa-elementuekin duen harremanarena ere, Ployhart eta Bliese-ren (2006) eta Park eta Park-en (2019) ereduetan oinarrituta, bai eta konstruktu hori ebaluatzen duten tresnena ere. Eremu publikoan giza baliabideak kudeatzean jardun moldagarriak dituen inplikazioak aztertzen dira, bereziki hautaketaren, prestakuntzaren, karrera-kudeaketaren eta lanpostuen diseinuaren arloan. Abstract: Adaptive performance is a key construct for organizations because the ability to adapt to the demands of the environment is vital, especially in times of crisis or technological, economic or labor changes. This paper provides a theoretical review of the concept of adaptive performance, its relationship with other constructs and organizational elements based on the models of Ployhart and Bliese (2006) and Park and Park (2019), as well as the instruments that evaluate the construct. The implications of adaptive performance for human resource management in the public sector are analyzed, especially in terms of selection, training, career management and job design.
