The development of appropriate teaching materials not only needs to be adjusted to the latest curriculum but also to the needs of the parties involved in learning. One of the parties involved is the learner. The needs of learners in the learning process must be known in order to develop appropriate teaching materials. This study is intended to map the needs of learners in the Seminar on ELT class as a first step to develop appropriate teaching materials by considering the different characteristics of students through the perspective of their epistemological beliefs. The participants involved in this study were 102 students who had attended the Seminar on ELT class. The result showed that majority of Seminar on ELT students (95%) are having sophisticated epistemic beliefs which we can describe them as the students that believe the knowledge is always changing or tentative, learning can be done individually by everyone, their knowledge of English did not come from authority, but through reason or logic experiences. They also believe that everyone can learn English from the beginning, no matter what age, or even their background. They agree on process-oriented learning. They also tend to have high motivation to learn English regardless of whether the motivation is extrinsic or intrinsic motivation. With this finding, we can finally understand the characteristics of the Seminar on ELT students as an initial step to develop an appropriate course material. This article presents a part of a study conducted to develop multimedia based teaching material for Grammar 3. It aims at describing needs and problems of students in learning Grammar 3 through a descriptive study. The data were gathered from the questionnaires distributed to the students who have taken Grammar 3 course. The result of the research conveys that 1) there is a gap between the objective of Grammar 3 course and the students’ achievement in the class, 2) students get the problems in understanding Grammar 3 due to inappropriate teaching materials used in teaching and learning process, and 3) the students need a multimedia based teaching materials to improve their understanding and achievement in Grammar 3 course.Key words/phrases:teaching material development, multimedia, need analysis, Grammar 3 APAKAH MAHASISWA MEMBUTUHKAN MATERI AJAR GRAMMAR 3 BERBASIS MULTIMEDIA?AbstrakArtikel ini merupakan salah satu bagian dari rangkaian penelitian pengembangan materi ajar Grammar 3 berbasis multimedia. Oleh karena itu, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebar kepada seluruh mahasiswa yang telah mengambil mata kuliah Grammar 3. In accordance with the paradigm of 21st century education, teachers are required to facilitate students with the learning process which addresses the improvement of students’ higher thinking skill. The community service which was conducted in  MTs Al Ikhlas Soe, East Nusa Tenggara was aimed at: 1) culturing as well as developing students’ literacy in school; 2) improving students’ capacity in literacy; 3) managing students’ knowledge and higher thinking skill, as considerable as 4) elevating teachers’ professionalism so that learning process can be more effective and efficient. The methods used were lecture, discussion, brainstorming, simulation, and assignment. The materials delivered were about the arrangement and development of literacy-oriented teaching materials. The product produced from the training was implemented in learning process on VII graders. This was aimed to observe whether there was an improvement gained after the training given. The participants of this community service were 13 teachers and 34 students of MTs Al Ikhlas Soe. The results showed that teachers’ skill in arranging teaching materials has been improved. Furthermore, students’ understanding about the concept or their knowledge related to the materials has been upgraded after experiencing the implementation of literacy-oriented learning.

                                                  AbstractThis study aims to produce electronic teaching materials in macroeconomic theory courses. The methodology of this research is the development of a 4D model that includes defining, designing, developing, and disseminating completed through questionnaires and tests. To obtain data in the form of assessments from experts regarding the product being developed as well as responses from students on the use of the product. Data analysis used presentation techniques from experts and student responses and the results of tests conducted during field trials. The results showed that first, the electronic teaching materials on the Camtasia-based Macroeconomic Theory course developed with the 4D model can produce interesting and effective teaching materials, secondly, the instructional materials developed have a positive effect on improving student learning outcomes. From the results of this study, it is suggested that any course material development in the lecture process can develop Camtasia-based electronic teaching materials because they are easily accessed and developed with other products.Keywords: Camtasia-Based Electronic Teaching Materials, and Learning Outcomes.                                                     AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar elektronik pada mata kuliah teori makro ekonomi. Metodologi penelitian ini berupa pengembangan model 4D (4 Dimensi) yang mencakup pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate) yang dilengkapi melalui kuesioner dan tes. Dalam rangka memperoleh data berupa penilaian dari para ahli mengenai produk yang dikembangkan serta respon dari mahasiswa atas penggunaan produk tersebut. Analisis data menggunakan teknik presentase dari para ahli dan respon siswa serta hasil tes yang dilakukan pada saat uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, bahan ajar elektronik pada mata kuliah Teori Ekonomi Makro berbasis camtasia yang dikembangkan dengan model 4D tersebut dapat menghasilkan bahan ajar yang menarik dan efektif, kedua bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki efek positif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Dari hasil penelitian ini disarankan agar setiap pengembangan bahan mata kuliah dalam proses perkuliahan dapat mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis elektronik berbasis camtasia karena mudah diakses dan dikembangkan dengan produk yang lain.Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar Elektronik Berbasis Camtasia, dan Hasil Belajar.

<p class="ABSTRACT">Teaching materials are one of the important components needed in the learning process. The Arabic language course program is a compulsory course for second semester students department in Islamic Education (PAI) Walisongo State Islamic University (UIN) Semarang. This study aims to describe the students' needs for communicative Arabic based teaching materials for students department in Islamic education at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Education (FITK) UIN Walisongo Semarang. The results of this study indicate that 41.56% of students require renewal of Arabic course material developed with communicative principles that contain topics of Islamic education in accordance with the department of Islamic education. these materials include Quran-Hadith, Aqedah, Tafsir, Sufism, Fiqh and Islamic History..</p><p class="ABSTRACT"> </p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong><strong></strong></p><p class="KEYWORD">Bahan ajar adalah salah satu komponen penting yang dibutuhkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Program kursus Bahasa Arab adalah kursus wajib untuk mahasiswa semester dua di jurusan Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Walisongo Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kebutuhan siswa akan bahan ajar Bahasa Arab berbasis komunikatif untuk siswa jurusan pendidikan agama islam di Fakultas Ilmu tarbiyah dan kependidikan (FITK) UIN Walisongo Semarang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 41,56% siswa membutuhkan pembaharuan materi kursus bahasa Arab yang dikembangkan dengan prinsip-prinsip komunikatif yang berisi topik-topik pendidikan Islam sesuai dengan departemen pendidikan Islam. bahan-bahan ini termasuk Quran-Hadits, Akidah, Tafsir, Sufisme, Fiqh dan Sejarah Islam.</p><p class="KEYWORD"><strong><em></em></strong><em><br /></em><em></em></p>

This research is motivated by the existence of an online learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic, so it is necessary to understand the learning process that can increase student learning motivation. In the online learning process there are many obstacles that cause the discussion process to be not very effective and efficient during the online learning process so that students' motivation in learning also decreases so that their learning achievement also decreases. This study aims to determine the level of student motivation in the online learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic. This type of research uses a quantitative approach using a survey method. The study was conducted on 50 students who took mathematics, engineering using a questionnaire. Data Analysis Techniques Using the Gutman scale. The results of the study A total of 4 students were classified as very low motivation to learn, as many as 6 students who belonged to low learning motivation, as many as 15 students who belonged to the medium learning motivation category, while as many as 25 students stated high motivation, while 0 students stated the motivation is very high. Recommendations need a learning process by giving group assignments by means of video calls

Abstrak Pengembangan bahan ajar pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia ini menjadi salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah. Basis cerita bergambar/komik pada bahan ajar yang dikembangkan menjadi salah satu pilihan yang sesuai bagi peserta didik dan pengajar untuk lebih mendalami materi dengan motivasi yang tinggi karena bentuknya yang berbeda dari yang sudah ada. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development ( R&D) dengan menggunakan model yang dikembangkan oleh Borg and Gall. Hasil skor keefektifan diperoleh dari hasil belajar. Hasil skor keefektifan bahan ajar komik menunjukkan 89,81 %. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh pada α = 5 % dengan dk=22-1 = 21 diperoleh ttabel = 2,119. Didapat thitung = 11,054 ≥ ttabel = 2,119 karena thitung ≥ ttabel maka hipotesis (Ha) diterima. Proses pembelajaran dapat disimpulkan ada peningkatan hasil belajar sesudah siswa menggunakan bahan ajar komik dan karena hal tersebut bahan ajar dikatakan efektif. Kata kunci: Pengembangan, bahan ajar komik, bahasa Indonesia Abstract The development of teaching materials in Bahasa Indonesia lesson is one of efforts to improve education quality in schools. Basic of illustrated story/comic on teaching materials is developed become an appropriate choice for students and teachers to explore more material with high motivation because of its different form from the existing ones. The research method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) using a model developed by Borg and Gall. The results of the effectiveness score were obtained from learning outcomes. The score for the effectiveness of comic teaching materials was 89.81%. The calculation results obtained at α=5% with dk=22-1=21 obtained t table= 2.119. Obtained t count=11,054 ≥ t table=2.119 because t count ≥ t table then the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The learning process can be concluded that there is an increase in learning outcomes after students use comic teaching materials and because of this the teaching materials are said effective. Keberadaan potensi lokal perlu digali sebagai bahan ajar agar proses pembelajaran lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Keterbatasan pengetahuan guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP guru biologi SMA dan SMP se-Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah memerlukan bimbingan teknis penyusunan bahan ajar biologi berbasis potensi lokal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberi bekal dan bimbingan kepada guru-guru biologi sekolah menengah dalam menyusun bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah, diskusi, workshop dan konsultasi daring serta penugasan mandiri. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah diselenggarakan, diketahui bahwa guru menunjukan antusiasme yang tinggi, sebagaimana terlihat dari proses tanya jawab dan diskusi yang berlangsung sangat dinamis. Banyak guru yang menyampaikan potensi lokal daerah, serta meminta saran dan masukan terkait bahan ajar apa yang dapat dikembangkan. Berdasarkan data yang masuk, terdapat 14 orang guru dari 20 peserta yang sudah mengajukan format pengembangan bahan ajarnya. Dari data 70% peserta yang telah mengajukan format pengembangan bahan ajar ini, menunjukkan peserta telah mendapatkan bekal pengetahuan dan memiliki motivasi tinggi untuk menyusun bahan ajar berbasis potensi lokal sebagai perangkat pembelajaran. Di wilayah Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah memiliki berbagai jenis flora dan fauna, baik yang terdapat di perairan (sungai dan rawa) maupun di daratan. Potensi lokal ini dapat dikembangkan untuk  penyusunan bahan ajar Biologi. The existence of local potential needs to be explored as teaching materials so that the learning process is more contextual and meaningful. The limited knowledge of teachers who are members of the MGMP for biology teachers in SMA and SMP in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency requires technical guidance in preparing biology teaching materials based on local potential. This activity aims to provide provision and guidance to high school biology teachers in preparing teaching materials based on local potential. This activity is carried out through lectures, discussions, workshops, online consultations, and independent assignments. Based on the activities that have been held, it is known that the teacher shows high enthusiasm, as can be seen from the very dynamic question and answer process and discussion. Many teachers convey the local potential of the area and ask for suggestions and input regarding what teaching materials can be developed. Based on the incoming data, 14 teachers from 20 participants have submitted the format for developing their teaching materials. The data of 70% of participants who have proposed this format for developing teaching materials shows that participants have gained knowledge and have high motivation to develop teaching materials based on local potential as learning tools. The Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency has flora and fauna, both found in waters (rivers and swamps) and on land. This local potential can be developed for the preparation of Biology teaching materials.

This research aims to analyze the lesson plan, learning process, and teacher competence based on the Indonesian economics, to develop the subject of economic learning. The object of this research is located in 6 (six) cities/regencies in East Java namely Bondowoso, Pamekasan and Trenggalek, Madiun, Blitar and Kediri in 2016. The research method used is qualitative method. The results showed that none of the lesson plan component belonged to the category of excellent quality. Lesson plan is more functioned as the fulfillment of administrative requirements, rather than as a guide in the implementation of learning. The learning process is implemented good, the assessment of learning process is basically closely related to the results of the assessment of the competence of teachers conducted on input evaluation. The quality of learning is influenced by the condition of students, schools that have students with high passion and high motivation to learn, the implementation of learning will be conducive. Another thing is the lack of material presented by the teacher on the core activities of learning. The teacher often reveals a less precise conceptabout economic theory, as well as the disclosure of events or economic numerical data, teachers are less trying to extract material from economic books to enrich learning materials.

Abstract. The lack of motivation and student engagement in the learning process are the Challenges in education today. E-learning is one of the methods used to resolve these issues.The E-learning, the digital based learning media, enable students to study every where and every time. Basically the e-learning is only used for repository of teaching materials and for evaluation. This kind of e-learning cannot motivate  the learning process. The development of e-learning must be done in order to increase the motivation to learn. The proposed solution extends the e-learning application with the Gamification approach. Gamification is adopted mechanism of the game in non game context. Typically, gamification is used in the business world. The Leaderboard, Challenges, and reward are components that are used to stimulate products sales by marketing. The reward will be given to the top rank salesman on the Leaderboard. This interesting concept can be applied to e-learning to stimulate the learning motivation

Teaching materials are one of the important components in the learning process. Teaching materials contain materials that will be delivered in the learning process. The purpose of developing teaching materials in this research is so that the teaching materials used can be more systematic and in accordance with the development of students. The method used in this research is Research and Development. The book developed is an Arabic language book for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah grade 1 used at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Hidayah Babayau with the title 'Ayo Belajar Bahasa Arab untuk MI Kelas 1'. This research is only up to material development. The results of this research are the addition of material, changing the material, changing the composition of the material.
