Abstract: A habit-forming activity of Tadarus in SMP N 8 Yogyakarta is an essential and integral part of other activities to build noble characters among students, such as prayers,praying together, living clean, discipline, class duty, flag ceremonies and charity work. Having regular activity of Tadarus in public school attracts many attentions to study it in greater depth. By employing naturalistic qualitative approach, this research was aimed to reveal the background and implementation of Tadarus and its effectiveness as a mean ofstudents’ morals building.The results showed that, firstly Tadarus was held regularly every morning about 15 minutes before the first period. The school principal was in charge of the activity, while the religion teacher functioned as a coordinator to run the program helped by all teachers of SMP N 8 Yogyakarta. Secondly, Tadarus al - Qur`an was proven effective to build students’ morals. The effectiveness could be seen from several aspects, such as: 1) aspect of the duty and function, in which the teacher had taken the roles as a supervisor and guide on the process of activities, in other hand, students showed responsibility to carryout the activities seriously, 2) planning/ program, Tadarus became an integral part of school activities that had been well-prepared and organized systematically, 3) provisions/rules, it had been conducted by using well-organized techniques, and 4) aspect of goals, the ultimate objective of Tadarus had been achieved that was equipping students with a commendable character and far from despicable character.

It [inclusion] probably has some merit to it. If I were a parent, I certainly would be an advocate for it. On the other hand, as a regular ed teacher, I wouldn't get too excited about it&. For the most part, I have not been a strong advocate for inclusion&. I've seen some cross-categorical, self-contained models that work well, and some resource models that work well; I just haven't seen that many inclusion models that were successful. —public school principal

This article discusses Bediuzzaman Said Nursi’s ideas on significance of the Practices of the Prophet (Sunna) for modern people. In the present day, many modern people deal with some problems such as spiritual crisis (existential vacuum), moral degradation, and so on. On the other hand, according to Said Nursi, Practices of the Prophet are all highly beneficial remedies for sicknesses of the spirit, mind, and heart, and particularly for social sicknesses. Accordingly, Practices of the Prophet could give the best solution for modern people problems, both individual sicknesses and social sicknesses. Before proposing Said Nursi’s perspective about significance of sunna, the paper forwards epistemological questions: How are the meaning and function of sunna according to Said Nursi? How are the urgent problems of modern people? What is the significance of Practices of the Prophet for modern people in the view of Said Nursi? The answer of these questions will determine the significance of the Practices of the Prophet in our era and in the future.

Abstract: The focus of this research is on the supervisory management of academic supervisors at MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir.  The research objective is to look at how to manage academic supervision in MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir, such as planning, implementing, evaluating, and following up on academic supervision. This research uses a qualitative approach. The results obtained from the perspective of academic supervision planning at MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir can be said to work well with the supervision planning program. Academic oversight by supervisors at MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Illir has been carried out but not yet optimal because the frequency of visits is still lacking. An evaluation of academic oversight at MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir has been carried out but not yet effective. The follow-up of the academic supervision conducted by the supervisor in MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir is quite adequate. Keywords: Management, Academic Supervision, and Supervisor.   Abstrak: Fokus penelitian ini  pada manajemen pengawas akademik pengawas di MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk melihat bagaimana mengelola pengawasan akademik di MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir, seperti perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan menindaklanjuti pengawasan akademik. Jenis penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari sisi perencanaan pengawasan akademik di MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir dapat dikatakan berhasil dengan baik dengan program perencanaan pengawasan. Pengawasan akademik oleh pengawas di MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Illir telah dilakukan tetapi belum optimal karena frekuensi kunjungan masih kurang. Evaluasi pengawasan akademik di MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir telah dilakukan tetapi belum efektif. Tindak lanjut dari pengawasan akademik yang dilakukan oleh pengawas di MTs Negeri 2 Ogan Ilir cukup memadai. Kata Kunci: Manajemen, Pengawasan Akademik, Pengawas.

This article discusses the symbiotic relationship of mutualism between mass media andterrorism. Whether we realize it or not, acts of terrorism in the homeland are still interestingand economically valuable news material in front of the mass media. On the other hand, onthe part of terrorists, the news about terrorist acts actually becomes a strategic campaignarea to show their existence. The research uses a qualitative approach to narrative analysismethod. The results of the study are www.okezone.com and www.tribunnews.com placingthe terror terror events in Medan Mapolrestabes as interesting and economically valuablenews material. The style of the news flow is arranged with a choice of tense, dramatic andsensational nuances of words. In addition, the display of photo and video illustrationsshortly after the explosion also aims to display as if the news of the explosion event is true,not engineering, objective and valid. The combination technique of choice of words, storyline, placement techniques and the size of photos and videos all aim to make the emotions ofthe reader participate dissolved in a tense situation as the situation at the scene of theexplosion. The practice of compiling this kind of news flow is called, as Jean Baudrillard'spractice of simulation. The practice of simulation through the practice of compiling newslines and the touch of visual image technology will eventually create conditions ofhyperreality. Namely the conditions between reality will be mixed with the pseudo so it isdifficult to distinguish which is original and fake. Next, the airing of a list of victims ofunknown origin will actually give birth, as Pierre Bourdie calls it symbolic violence. That is,the practice of violent symbols aimed no longer at the physical target but rather consciousthoughts. Symbolic violence in the appearance of the victim list really has the potential tocreate traumatic feelings towards the families of the victims.

This study aims to analyze and find out the implementation of principals 'leadership through school quality with the long-term goal of improving the quality of schools through principals' leadership. The specific target of this research is to develop a principal's leadership model. The research method uses a qualitative approach through case studies through observation, interviews, document studies relating to the principal's leadership and school quality. The general conclusion is that improving school quality is a process towards the realization of quality schools. Some Islamic movements in Indonesia make the fatwas issued by the MUI as a reference for their actions. They recently found their momentum after the defence movements called 411 and 212. The proponents of the movements called themselves as Gerakan Nasional Pengawal Fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (GNPF-MUI/The National Movement of Guardian of Fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council). Employing a qualitative approach coupled with historical-causal paradigm this article examines the main question: Do the proponents of these movements substantially understand the fatwas they defend? The results of the research show that the fatwas have a dilemmatic position. On the one hand, there have been movements which insist on making the fatwas as “sacred opinion” that must be protected and guarded. On the other hand, people do not substantially comprehend the fatwas they defend. This problem has been caused, among others, by the cultural basis of the Indonesian society which put more preference on orality than literality or, explicitly, written tradition.

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of educational values in the novel Madogiwa No Totto-chan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi with a qualitative approach that includes educational values in terms of the structure of the novel. Research methods. This research is a library research or library research that uses a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques. Conclusion of research findings: The main theme of this novel is EDUCATION, education that frees students to be creative, while the sub-theme is education must be adjusted to the development of the child's personality. The credentials found are: A mother must be wise in educating and caring for her children with special needs. A school principal or a teacher should be a leader who is brave to act in accordance with their respective beliefs and life principles. The educational values in this novel can be used as examples of learning in schools to help children with problems (special needs). An educator should be fun and not scold his students because educating children is not with anger but with advice, praise, and trust. Make kids confident, responsible, love each other, and help each other, introduce them to nature because nature stores various sources of knowledge. Educational values found are educational values related to religious education values, moral education values, social education values, and beauty education values. Recommendation: Madogiwa No Totto-chan's autobiographical novel (Totto-chan Little Girl in the Window) can be used as a learning tool for character education in schools in Indonesia because this Japanese novel has raised educational values that contain a number of noble values. One of the noble values is the value of education in the novel that abstracts the reality of Japanese society's life. Akkermansia muciniphila (A. muciniphila) is a promising probiotic candidate owing to its health-promoting properties. A previous study reported that the pasteurized form of A. muciniphila strains isolated from human stool samples had a beneficial impact on high-fat diet-induced obese mice. On the other hand, the differences in the probiotic effects between live and pasteurized A. muciniphila on the metabolism and immune system of the host are still inconclusive. This study examines the differences between the live and pasteurized forms of A. muciniphila strains on the lipid and glucose metabolism and on regulating the inflammatory immune responses using a HFD-fed obese mouse model. The animals were administered the live and pasteurized forms of two A. muciniphila strains five times per week for the entire study period of 12 weeks. Both forms of the bacterial strains improved the HFD-induced obesity and metabolic dysregulation in the mice by preventing body-weight gains after one week. In addition, they cause a decrease in the weights of the major adipose tissues, adipogenesis/lipogenesis and serum TC levels, improvement in glucose homeostasis and suppression of inflammatory insults. Furthermore, these treatments restored the damaged gut architecture and integrity and improved the hepatic structure and function in HFD-induced animals. On the other hand, for both bacterial strains, the pasteurized form was more potent in improving glucose tolerance than the live form. Moreover, specific A. muciniphila preparations with either live or pasteurized bacteria decreased the number and population (%) of splenic Treg cells (CD4+ Foxp3+) significantly in the HFD-fed animals, further supporting the anti-inflammatory properties of these bacteria.

A mutashabihat verse (anthropomorphism) is a verse that contains many interpretations as it has various dimensions of meaning. Explicitation is one of the translation procedures introduced by Vinay and Darbelnet as an effort to make the target language readers understand clearly the implicit meaning contained in the source text. In other words, the implicit meaning contained in the source text can be revealed into the target text through this procedure. A translator whose role is to transfer the meaning of source text is always bounded by a certain ideology that will influence his translation works. This study aims to examine the forms of explicitation used in the translation of the mutashabihat verses in the Quran and relate them to translators’ ideologies. This study adopted a qualitative approach that led to the analysis of text content of the Quran, which is elaborated descriptively by selecting three (3) words found in the text of the Quran that is related to Allah, as the sample of the study which are )يد( ,)استوى( and (أعين ). The corpus texts used are the Malay Quran translation by Abdullah Basmeih, Mahmud Yunus, and Zaini Dahlan. The findings showed that the translation of the mutashabihat verses used various forms of explicitation to enhance a clearer understanding of the target readers to the meaning of the Qur'an, such as lexical specification, the addition of explanatory remarks, additional information in brackets and footnotes. In addition, studies found that Mahmud Yunus and Zaini Dahlan retained the meaning of translated mutashabihat verses literally without giving an esoteric interpretation of the Quran and sometimes inclined towards the ideology of al-Ta’wil. On the other hand, Abdullah Basmeih was more prone to the ideologies of al-Ta’wil and al-Ithbat bi Dawabit in translating the verses. ABSTRAK Ayat mutashabihat ialah ayat yang mengandungi banyak pentafsiran kerana mempunyai pelbagai dimensi makna. Eksplisitasi pula ialah salah satu prosedur terjemahan yang diperkenalkan oleh Vinay dan Darbelnet sebagai usaha agar pembaca bahasa sasaran memahami dengan jelas makna implisit yang terkandung di dalam teks sumber. Melalui prosedur ini, bentuk makna implisit yang terkandung di dalam teks sumber dapat dizahirkan ke dalam teks sasaran. Penterjemah selaku pihak yang memainkan peranan dalam memindahkan makna sebenarnya sentiasa terikat dengan ideologi tertentu yang akan mewarnai teks sasaran yang dihasilkannya. Kajian ini bertujuan meneliti bentuk eksplisitasi yang terdapat dalam terjemahan ayat-ayat mutashabihat dalam al-Quran serta menghubungkaitkannya dengan pengaruh aliran pemikiran yang dipegang oleh penterjemah. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang menjurus kepada analisis kandungan teks al-Quran yang dihurai secara deskriptif dengan memilih tiga (3) perkataan yang dinisbahkan kepada Allah SWT yang terdapat dalam teks al-Quran sebagai sampel kajian iaitu lafaz )ىوتسا(, )دي( dan (أعين ). Korpus kajian pula adalah teks al-Quran yang diterjemahkan oleh Abdullah Basmeih, Mahmud Yunus dan Zaini Dahlan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa terjemahan ayat-ayat mutashabihat menggunakan pelbagai bentuk eksplisitasi untuk memberi kefahaman yang lebih jelas kepada pembaca sasaran terhadap makna al-Quran iaitu bentuk pengkhususan, penambahan maklumat, maklumat tambahan dalam kurungan dan nota kaki. Selain itu, kajian juga mendapati bahawa Mahmud Yunus dan Zaini Dahlan mengekalkan makna literal teks al-Quran tanpa takwilan dan kadang-kadang condong kepada aliran pemikiran al-Ta’wil dalam menterjemahkan ayat mutashabihat. Manakala Abdullah Basmeih pula lebih cenderung kepada aliran pemikiran al-Takwil dan al-Ithbat bi Dawabit dalam memberikan maksud ayat mutashabihat.
