The competitiveness improvement of milk products is directly connected with a problem of decreasing energy consumption of the process of milk emulsion dispersion. At creating promising types of energy effective dispersers, a necessary condition is to elaborate a correct methodology for studying them that takes into account the specificity of the process of fat milk microemulsion dispersion. Based on the critical analysis of research methods for homogenizers of different types, there have been determined main directions of their improvement, taken into account in the elaborated research method for a promising jet-slot type milk homogenizer. The method of theoretical studies, including a choice and analysis of stable and changeable factors of the homogenization process in a jet-slot type homogenizer and optimization criteria, has been elaborated. The interconnection of technological, constructive, hydraulic parameters with a dispersion quality has been demonstrated. The influence of physical-mechanical properties of milk as a research object was taken into account. An optimal milk temperature was chosen for the studies. Factor variation limits have been substantiated. The constructive scheme of a chamber for the experimental homogenizer has been developed. At processing the experimental research methodology, the main stage was to develop an experimental set for studying the influence of changeable factors of the dispersion process on a homogenization quality. Dispersion quality estimation methods have been analyzed and the method of microphotography has been chosen with further computed analysis of obtained data. The elaborated methodology was used at studying the influence of cream fat and ring slot width on a dispersion quality in a jet-slot type homogenizer. The obtained data allow to determine rational parameters of cream fat – 40–50 % and slot width – 0.1 mm. The analysis of dispersed characteristics of the milk emulsion allows to make a conclusion about the high homogenization quality, comparing with processing in a valve homogenizer

Forced-choice (FC) assessments of noncognitive psychological constructs (e.g., personality, behavioral tendencies) are popular in high-stakes organizational testing scenarios (e.g., informing hiring decisions) due to their enhanced resistance against response distortions (e.g., faking good, impression management). The measurement precisions of FC assessment scores used to inform personnel decisions are of paramount importance in practice. Different types of reliability estimates are reported for FC assessment scores in current publications, while consensus on best practices appears to be lacking. In order to provide understanding and structure around the reporting of FC reliability, this study systematically examined different types of reliability estimation methods for Thurstonian IRT-based FC assessment scores: their theoretical differences were discussed, and their numerical differences were illustrated through a series of simulations and empirical studies. In doing so, this study provides a practical guide for appraising different reliability estimation methods for IRT-based FC assessment scores.

Biosensing has been one of the hottest topic attracting scientific minds since long back. It is so as biological entities are very complex and are directly associated with the existence of a healthy environment. The design of biosensors also has witnessed significant changes in the recent past. Biosensors for applications as diverse as food quality estimation, environmental monitoring, and diagnosis of clinical and metabolic complications have come to the fore. Nanotechnology has bestowed some highly exciting ingredients for the improvement of sensing phenomenon. The use of diverse nanomaterials ranging from nanoparticles, nanotubes, nanorods, and nanowires has enabled faster detection and its reproducibility in a much better way. The unique properties of nanomaterials such as high electrical conductivity, better shock bearing ability, and the sensitive responses such as piezoelectric and versatile color based detection mechanisms are only the results of congregation of nanomaterial properties. This paper highlights the different types of biosensors based on different types of nanomaterials and their developmental and implicational aspects.

A vector space partition is here a collection [Formula: see text] of subspaces of a finite vector space V(n, q), of dimension n over a finite field with q elements, with the property that every non-zero vector is contained in a unique member of [Formula: see text]. Vector space partitions relate to finite projective planes, design theory and error correcting codes. In the first part of the paper I will discuss some relations between vector space partitions and other branches of mathematics. The other part of the paper contains a survey of known results on the type of a vector space partition, more precisely: the theorem of Beutelspacher and Heden on T-partitions, rather recent results of El-Zanati et al. on the different types that appear in the spaces V(n, 2), for n ≤ 8, a result of Heden and Lehmann on vector space partitions and maximal partial spreads including their new necessary condition for the existence of a vector space partition, and furthermore, I will give a theorem of Heden on the length of the tail of a vector space partition. Finally, I will also give a few historical remarks.

Why some democratic revolutions succeed while others fail? The scholarly community has sought to address this issue from various perspectives, from rational choice approaches to collective action theories. Too little attention, however, has been paid to analyzing the role of the military. By discussing the different types of interactions played by the military in five cases of successful democratic revolutions—the 1910 Portuguese Republican Revolution, the 1958 Venezuelan Revolution, the 1960 April Revolution in South Korea, the 1989 Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia, and the 2000 Bulldozer Revolution in Yugoslavia—and three cases of failed revolutions, the 1905 bourgeois-liberal revolution in Russia, the 1989 Tiananmen Square Protests in China, and the 2016 Turkey’s coup attempt, this study finds out that the key factor in determining their outcome is the army’s response and that the military backing is a necessary condition for a democratic revolution to succeed.

Considering the strategic directions of modern higher education, dominant personality-oriented paradigm, which determines the rejection of understanding the educational process as a path which interns must comply, can be called This paradigm provides a variety of methods and tools that match the individual personality as a subject of education. The purpose of this work is the searching for new paradigms of educational reform and its new models and technologies, innovative approaches, learning and education. Employees of the Academy were customized modification techniques "competing groups" in training doctors ‒ dental interns, whose meaning is "doubles competition." At the same time, three main components of the concept of critical thinking were basis of the systematization of techniques and strategies within this methodology: cognitive (development of mental levels), communicative (development of interactions) and reflexive (the development of professional reflection). The process of learning by this methodology is carried out in three stages: The preparatory stage involves the definition of the purpose and the task of a substantiated motivation. The conditional clinical situation should be in line with the current standard of higher education, which presupposes the presence of normative disciplines. Intern doctors can propose a problematic situation for discussion, based on the great interest in this topic themselves (the theme of the course work, the specifics of the place of future work, etc.), they can choose their "opponent" independently. The condition of the business game is the planned agreement of one member of the group with the other, he must reasonably and correctly proves the opposite. The main stage takes place as an independent work of interns on their task. For a well-grounded objection, doctors-interns should propose a variety of modern methods of clinical, laboratory, instrumental research, the use of certain therapeutic options, hoping for its effectiveness. At this stage, an important work is going on: each intern must receive the data necessary for "competitiveness", find evidence or refutation based on a specific approach to the problem (subjective, facilitarial, holistic, and interactive), which may indicate the implementation of personality-oriented learning . The phases of work with the information are determined: 1) recognition of information; 2) its review; 3) determination of the main; 4) comparison of the main and secondary; 5) information analysis; 6) its synthesis; 7) information characteristics; 8) its application; 9) information evaluation; 10) personal attitude to information. The final stage is the report of each competitive pair, presentation of results and project protection. An important point is the discussion of the results in the presence of all interns in a specialty that is conducted under the guidance of a teacher or a working group. The use of the technique of "competitive couples" in the educational process of interns of dentistry significantly increases the quality of knowledge. Problematic clinical situations form the ability to self-organization cognitive activity, the ability to perform operations of mental activity. The element of competition, the opportunity to reveal its theoretical and practical potential greatly enhances the ability of young colleagues to think clinically. The introduction of stimulating, encouraging, exciting methods in the educational process can remove psychological stress from interns' doctors, encourage them to self-improvement. As a basis that determines the use of the methodology of individual creativity in the practice of working with young colleagues, the humanization of education, as well as self-improvement, is a necessary condition for obtaining the individually required knowledge and skills.

A range of scholars in media studies suggest that film can enhance the awareness and appeal of the film locations because of its power of imagery (Macionis 2004; Beeton 2016; Riley and Van Doran 1992). Induced and motivated by film-related elements, a group of audiences are no longer merely the recipients of film contents but also the tourists, who are going to visit the film-related sites. The journey that audiences visit the film-related sites in person can be described as film-related tourism. In this paper, the basic characteristics of film-related tourism will be introduced at the beginning for demonstrating audiences’ film journey to different types of film-related tourism sites, i.e., on-location film site and off-location film site (Beeton 2005). Then, it will specifically use an off-location film tourism site Hengdian World Studios (HWS) in China as the case to see audiences’ travel experience as film tourists at the destination. For detailed describing the touristic experience, this paper is going to apply the ethnography research method to show my personal film tour from home to the film sites in HWS, and thus examine the process of people’ identity change from film audiences to film tourists in the physical movement from home to the film location sites. Finally, authenticity issues, staged authenticity and existential authenticity, in audiences’ film tour will be discussed in order to better understand audiences’ on-site activities as well as the marketing strategies at the destination.

Aiming at the imbalance problem of wireless link samples, we propose the link quality estimation method which combines the K-means synthetic minority over-sampling technique (K-means SMOTE) and weighted random forest. The method adopts the mean, variance and asymmetry metrics of the physical layer parameters as the link quality parameters. The link quality is measured by link quality level which is determined by the packet receiving rate. K-means is used to cluster link quality samples. SMOTE is employed to synthesize samples for minority link quality samples, so as to make link quality samples of different link quality levels reach balance. Based on the weighted random forest, the link quality estimation model is constructed. In the link quality estimation model, the decision trees with worse classification performance are assigned smaller weight, and the decision trees with better classification performance are assigned bigger weight. The experimental results show that the proposed link quality estimation method has better performance with samples processed by K-means SMOTE. Furthermore, it has better estimation performance than the ones of Naive Bayesian, Logistic Regression and K-nearest Neighbour estimation methods.

Nevus Spitz is a benign melanocytic proliferation, first described in 1948 by Sophie Spitz as a childhood melanoma. Initially, it was described as an erythematous papule or node, but further studies of the Spitz nevus proved that in 71-92% cases it is a pigmented formation. This pigmentation is often quite intense due to the rapid growth of the formation, which leads to the need for differential diagnosis with skin melanoma. After all, dermatoscopy can be used for this purpose and, when applying this research method, typically a pattern of an exploding star formed by streaks of linear pigmentation and symmetrically located pigment globules placed in the peripheral zone can be revealed. In case of non-pigmented Spitz nevus, spot vessels and reticular depigmentation are visualized. Both pigmented and non-pigmented forms of Spitz nevus in the process of evolution can regress partially or completely. Several clinical cases of different types of spitzoids, both typical and atypical, based on the non-clinical, dermatoscopic and histological diversity of the Spitz nevi, have been demonstrated in the article. Their macroscopic and dermatoscopic features as well as probable signs of dynamic changes are indicated in order to facilitate their recognition by other specialists.

This research aims to empirically analyses of implementation of counselling towards victims of domestic violence. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The population of this study were women (wives), who were victims of different types of domestic violence at Tabongo Timur Village. Based on the result, there were three pattern implementations of counselling that have been done at Tabonga Timur Village, firstly, providing direction/guidance; secondly, assisting domestic violence victims; and thirdly, establishing domestic violence clinic. The realization of the program of providing counselling of domestic victims at Tabonga Timur Village has not been optimal because the victims are afraid to report, limited fund allocation, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and both characteristics of victims and factors of domestic violence are various.
