The subject of my research is to investigate the students attitudes towards blended teaching among students of the University of Calcutta. The three purposes for which I have studied are –1.To study the attitude of Calcutta University students towards Blended Teaching. 2. To study the difference in attitude of Calcutta University students towards Blended Teaching with regard to gender. 3.To study the difference in attitude of Calcutta University students towards Blended Teaching with regard to locality. The quantitative research method has been used for the study. The results I obtained through the self- constructed attitude scale are –There is no significant difference in attitude towards Blended Teaching between male and female students of Calcutta University. And there is no significant difference in attitude towards Blended Teaching between rural and urban students of Calcutta University.Most of the students think that the Blended Teaching method can be acceptable to the students of College and University. Most of the students think that it will be benefited to the students if some syllabus is taught in Online Mode and some is taught in Offline Mode. Most of the students think that the students will be benefited by Blended Teaching method. Most of the students think that Blended Teaching method will benefit the teachers in teaching. Most of the students think that Blended Teaching will improve the learning of the students. Most of the students think that the Blended Teaching method will make the learning environment and teaching more flexible. Some students think that many students will face with difficulties in Blended Teaching. Some students think that only the Offline Teaching is more effective than Blended Teaching in Higher Education.

The aim of this study is to examine the career stress levels of university students in different faculties according to age, gender, faculty, class and financial status variables. The research was conducted using a quantitative research design. The sample of this study consisted of 1,189 university students from Kastamonu University Education Faculty, School of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. Career Stress Scale consisting of 20 items and three sub-dimensions was used. Data were normally distributed and parametric analysis was used. According to the findings of this study, it was determined that the average score of the participants was 2.43 from the total score of the career stress scale. In this context, it was found that the career stress levels of the participants were moderate at the lower limit. According to the average scores of the participants, the lowest subscale was found to be an external conflict with 2.13 average and the highest subscale was found to be job anxiety with an average score of 2.82. A significant difference was found almost between all different groups in different ways (p > 0.05). As a result, it was found that the career stress levels of the university students participating in the research were moderate, as well as differences according to variables such as gender, class, age, faculty and income status. Among these differences, the most striking ones appear to be the variables of age and income. In this context, it was determined that university students who have lower age and lower-income status level have higher career stress level than age and income status variables. This study aimed to investigate Jordanian university students’ attitudes toward online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, shed light on the obstacles students encounter in online learning, and suggest possible solutions. A questionnaire designed by the researchers was used to elicit responses from a study sample consisting of 195 students from the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Jordan – Aqaba. As this is an attitudinal study, the survey questionnaire was designed to elicit student responses on the following domains: gender, seniority level, socioeconomic status, training and orientation for using eLearning platforms, and their attitudes, whether positive or negative, toward online learning. Results of this quantitative research showed that student attitudes toward online learning are generally negative. The majority of the respondents reported that they prefer face-to-face classroom instruction over online learning because it gives them direct contact with the instructors. Furthermore, results revealed statistically significant differences amongst students attributed to their gender, whereas no differences were found with regards to their seniority of study, socioeconomic status, and the eLearning platform they prefer to use. The study concludes by proposing some pedagogical recommendations.

The purpose of this work is to examine the issue of pre-service science teachers’ (PSST) Geogebra applications on misconceptions about projectile motion (PM) and the permanence of learning concepts. In this study, quantitative research method was used as scientific research method, and semi-experimental design with pre-test, post-test control group was used as a pattern. The accessible population of this study is PSST who study in a university located in Kayseri, Turkey in the 2019-2020 academic year. Sample of the study included 36 freshman PSST, studying at the university level in Kayseri. 18 of the participants are experimental-group (EG) and 18 of them are control-group (CG). Both groups learned the subject of projectile motion (PM) together in the classroom. In addition to the traditional teaching method, the EG participated eight-week in the Geogebra course based on the conceptual change model and prepared physics simulations with Geogebra. “Conceptual Questions on Projectile Motion” was used as a data collection tool and the data were analyzed by means of statistics (t-test) based on the difference between averages. The results revealed that both the post-test’s and permanence test’s mean scores of the EG PSST were significantly higher than the mean score of the CG PSST (post-test: t=2.525; p< .05) (permanence test: t=5.466; p< .05). Furthermore, in this study, many misconceptions about the PM were identified.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the attitudes and opinions of hearing impaired primary school, high school, and university students towards physical education and sports lesson according to various variables.To the study, a total of 136 students (50 females and 86 males) with hearing-impairment, who are participating physical education and sports lesson in provinces of İzmir and Muğla between 2017-2018 education year, voluntarily participated.In the study, 2-part questionnaires were applied to the students. In the first part demographic features, and in the second part “Physical Education and Sports Attitude Scale” consisting of 12 positive and 12 negative items, a total of 24, which was developed by Demirhan and Altay (2001) to measure the attitudes of the students, were used. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient was calculated as 0.93; and validity coefficient of the scale as 0.83. In the analysis of the data; frequency, and percentage distributions were used and the relationship between physical education and sports attitude scores were analyzed with correlation analysis. The t-test was used to determine the difference according to gender, sporting status, and disability status in the analyses about physical education and sports attitude scores. Besides, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) was used to determine the difference according to educational status, branches of sports, and level of income.  The obtained data was recorded by using a programme called SPSS 22.00 in silico.In this study, attitude scale scores of the physical education and sports showed a significant difference according to gender (p<0,05). Males showed a better attitude than females. It does not show a difference according to education status (p>,05). The average scores of the primary school, high school, and university students were close to each other. It showed a difference according to hearing impaired students’ sporting status (p>,05). No significant difference was found according to students’ branches of sports (p>,05). There was no significant difference according to doing individual and team sports. It was stated that there was a significant difference according to students’ level of income (p<0,05); it showed that there was a significant difference between 500-1000 and 1000-2000, and 500-1000 and over 2000. No significant difference was found according to students’ disability status (p>,05). It shows difference according to students’ having congenital or afterward disability.According to the results of the study the participation of hearing-impaired students in physical education and sports activities; show that they qualify their leisure time doing sports and exercises, physical education and sports will provide significant benefits in my life. Allocating an important time to physical education and sports activities, they create awareness in the community, representing their country in Paralympic games show that they show a positive attitude towards physical education and sports.

The aim of this study was to observe if Physical Education and Sports students’ attitudes towards Inclusive Education differ or not. The research was done according to the scanning/screening model. “Personal information form” (2004) - (reformed by Orel and his friends) and “Attitude Scale related to Inclusion” (1995)-(reformed by Antonak & Larivee and adapted into Turkish by Kırcaali & Iftar ) were used for  Kocaeli University School of Physical Education and Sports /Physical Education and Sports Department’s 1st grade and the 2nd grade students (121 students) who didn’t take the Inclusive Education class and the 3rd and 4th grade students (193 students) who took the Inclusive Education class. In the statistical analysis of the research, frequency values of the data (which were obtained from  personal information forms) were surveyed and while analysing the data (obtained from the attitude scale related to inclusion) arithmetic average, standard deviation and t test (for the difference between two groups ) were applied.In statistical analysis and in all parameters  numerical difference was seen on the side of the students who took inclusive education class but no statEistically significant difference was found . (P<0,05). As a result, it can be said that Inclusive Education class had a positive change on the attitudes of  Physical Education teacher candidates towards inclusion.

The purpose of this study is to find out the enhancement of students' reading comprehension between those who were taught using TPS (Think-Pair-Share) technique and those who are taught using the Jigsaw technique. The study discussed the recent developments in reading pedagogy. This study used a quantitative research method and comparative design by measuring the achievement of pre-test and post-test. The result of this study shows that p.value (sig) = 0.187 > α (0.05). Therefore, it is concluded that there is no significant difference in the student's reading comprehension ability. Even the difference is not significant, based on the mean score of the classes before and after being taught using those techniques, this study indicates that the use of Think-Pair-Share and Jigsaw can enhance students’ reading comprehension ability. The study also provides a new interpretation of existing sources on teaching method and offers new insights of teaching reading method by emphasizing collaborative learning. This study, it was aimed to examine the attitudes of university students receiving distance education towards distance education in terms of various demographic characteristics. The survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. 764 university students who were selected by the criterion sampling method and who received distance education in the COVID-19 pandemic participated in the study. In the collection of data, the Attitude Scale towards Distance Education was used and the data were collected online with the prepared form. Various statistical analyses were made on the collected data and the results were discussed within the framework of research questions. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that university students' attitudes towards distance education were low. It has been observed that the scores of the scale of attitude towards distance education differ in terms of gender and grade level. It was also observed in the study that having a computer and internet connection at home and the level of participation in the virtual classrooms had a positive effect on the attitude towards distance education. In this period when distance education is not a choice but a necessity, it is recommended that the education to be provided should be planned well to achieve the expected quality and to increase the level of success. It is thought that these results obtained from the study will contribute to distance education institutions and planners.

The aim of this study is to examine the attitudes of university students towards healthy eating in terms of some variables. 322 students (170 male, 152 female) from Bartın University Faculty of Sports Sciences and Health Services Vocational School participated in the study. "Attitude Scale Towards Healthy Eating" developed by Tekkurşun Demir and Cicioğlu (2019) and a personal data form were used as data collection tools in the research. SPSS 20 package program was used in the analysis of the data. In the analysis of normally distributed data, the Independent Samples T test was used in pairwise comparison, and the significance level was taken as p<0.05. When the gender and attitude scores and sub-dimensions of the groups participating in the study were examined, it was found that men's attitudes towards healthy eating, feelings about nutrition and positive nutrition scores were higher than women, but there was no statistically significant difference between the groups (p>.05). When the variable of taking the nutrition lesson of the groups and the scores and sub-dimensions of the attitudes towards healthy nutrition were examined, it was determined that the students who took the nutrition lesson had higher attitude levels towards healthy nutrition, but there was no statistically significant difference (p>.05). There was no statistical difference between the department variable and the scores of attitudes towards healthy eating, and between the sub-dimensions of knowledge about nutrition, feeling towards nutrition and malnutrition (p>.05), but a statistical difference was found between the groups in the sub-dimension of positive nutrition (p<.05). As a result, the gender of the participants and the variable of taking a nutrition course do not affect the attitude towards healthy eating, while the section variable causes a difference in the positive nutrition sub-dimension. BackgroundStigma towards mental illness has a major impact on the quality of life and the health care of psychiatric patients. Several studies have reported that health professionals have more negative attitudes than general population.AimsTo explore empathy and attitudes towards mental illness in nursing students (NS) and non-health university students. Our purpose is to see how NS have more empathic and less stigmatizing attitudes towards psychiatric patients, compared to other university students.MethodsWe tested 96 university students (50 NS and 46 non-health university students), with the following questionnaires anonymously filled out:– Community attitudes towards mental ill (CAMI), to evaluate the different students’ attitudes towards mental illness;– Empathy quotient (EQ), to assess empathy.ResultsNS differs from the other group in 5 items of CAMI (P < 0.05 in 3 items and P < 0.01 in 2 items), and Authoritarianism subscale (P = 0.023). This shows that NS have a greater general awareness and less stigmatizing attitudes about the need to hospitalize the mentally ill, the difference between psychiatric patients and general population, the wrong need of segregation and the real causes of mental illness. There is also a significant difference in EQ (items 6, 21, 25, 44, 59): future nurses seem to have a slightly higher empathy, even though the EQ total score does not differ in the two groups.ConclusionsThese results suggest that there is a difference with respect to the attitudes towards psychiatric patients in NS and students who do not follow health-care courses: NS have more empathetic and less stigmatizing attitudes.Disclosure of interestThe authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

This research paper intends to investigate the attitudes of Yemeni university students towards using Google Classroom as a learning tool. It also aims to explore any similarities and differences between graduate and undergraduate students and between males and females in terms of their attitudes towards using Google Classroom as a learning tool. This study employed a quantitative approach. One hundred and twenty students of the fourth level of the B.Ed. program and forty students enrolled in the M.Ed. program at the Department of English in the College of Education at Sana’a University in Yemen participated in this study during the academic year 2018/2019. Data were collected using a questionnaire whose analysis revealed a positive attitude towards using Google Classroom as a learning tool. The findings of this study indicated that the highest mean average among the five components of the attitude scale was the Behavioral Engagement (BE) (M= 4.09), followed by Developing Language Skills (M= 4.04) and the Linguistics Confidence (M= 3.92). Finally came the Attitude to Learning Linguistics with Technology (M= 3.76) and the Technology Confidence (M= 3.56). This study concluded that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean of the undergraduate and graduate students towards using Google Classroom as a learning tool in favor of the graduate students. Furthermore, there was no statistically significant difference between male and female students in terms of their attitudes towards using Google Classroom.
