The purpose of this study is to analyze and design the application of e-service portal to help Marketing BINUS university to improve the speed and ease of service for Prospect students with the integration of transaction and information services required prospective students, and can be presented in a personalized to adds its own interesting experience for user. It would create a competitive advantage of the University which also potentially triggering an increase in the number of intake students. The methodology used is the method of analysis, which reviews and interviews conducted directly to the field, distributing questionnaires, observing and analyzing the data and needs, and using the design method, which includes design of business models, user interface design and database design. Results to be achieved is a web portal, where the system can facilitate prospective students to obtain the desired information services in full, and with a presentation that can be personalized and make transactions easier and faster. Conclusions obtained are BINUS University can take advantage of e-service in a web portal for prospective new students as supporting its competitive advantage in the utilization of information technology and support one of its primary missions to create service excellence in all fields.

Kebijakan Promosi dari Universitas untuk mendapatkan mahasiswa baru merupakan hal yang vital bagi kelancaran proses penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru. Pihak lembaga perlu mengkaji dan melakukan analisis yang baik sebelum melakukan promosi. Di era sekarang, banyak media yang dapat dijadikan sebagai media promosi. Dengan berkembangnya cara penyebaran informasi serta banyaknya media pihak yang berkepentingan sudah seharusnya jeli mana yang mendapat prioritas lebih dari semua banyak lini media tempat promosi. Ketika tingkat prioritas sudah ditentukan maka upaya promosi akan menjadi lebih mudah dan lebih tepat sasaran. Akan tetapi penentuan tingkat prioritas tidak dapat dilakukan secara asal dan sembarangan. Perlu dilakukan pengkajian yang lebih dalam bukan hanya sekedar intuisi belaka. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh promosi dengan minat calon mahasiswa memilih AMIKOM sebagai universitas pilihan dengan acuan tiga variable yaitu sosial media, website, dan referensi alumni. Pengolahan data menggunakan software SPSS dan SPSS AMOS untuk mencari validitas, reliabilitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah semua variable signifikan, dengan urutan dari nilai tertinggi ke terendah adalah Sosial Media, Referensi Alumni, dan Website. Kata Kunci—Promosi, Validitas, Reliabilitas, HipotesisPromotion policy from the University to get new students is vital for the smooth process of admission of New Students. The institution needs to review and conduct a good analysis before conducting a promotion. In this era, many media can be used as promotional media. With the development of ways of disseminating information and the many media interested parties it should be observant which gets priority over all the many lines of media wherepromotion. When the priority level has been determined, the promotion effort will be easier and more targeted. However, the determination of priority levels cannot be done arbitrarily and carelessly. Deeper studies need to be done not just mere intuition. This study discusses the effect of promotion with the interest of prospective students choosing AMIKOM as the university of choice with three variables reference, namely social media, website, and alumni reference. Data processing using SPSS and SPSS AMOS software to find validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The results obtained are all significant variables, with the order from highest to lowest values are Social Media, Alumni Reference, and Website.Keywords— Promotion, Validity, Reliability, Hypothesis

AbstrakKampus I Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) beralamat di Jalan Diponegoro 52-56 Kota Salatiga, Jawa Tengah. Memiliki luas keseluruhan 93.580 m2  terdiri dari gedung kantor dan gedung perkuliahan. Media informasi sangat penting bagi mahasiswa untuk mengenali lokasi gedung dan wilayah kampus. Berdasarkan penelitian banyak mahasiswa kesulitan menemukan lokasi gedung perkuliahan dan mengenali wilayah kampus pada awal masa perkuliahan. Media informasi yang telah ada berupa peta dua dimensi wilayah kampus hanya menyajikan informasi yang terbatas. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut, pada penelitian ini dirancang virtual tour panorama 360o  sebagai media informasi Kampus I UKSW untuk mempermudah mahasiswa baru dalam mengenali wilayah serta memberikan informasi awal tentang letak gedung secara visual. Metode perancangan yang digunakan adalah mixed method dan strategi linier. Hasil yang dicapai dari penelitian ini berupa virtual tour sebagai media informasi Kampus I UKSW sudah sesuai dengan harapan, dan layak diaplikasikan pada website Universitas. Kata Kunci : UKSW, Media Informasi, Virtual tour, Panorama 360o, Mahasiswa Baru AbstractCampus I of Satya Wacana Christian University (SWCU) is located at Diponegoro Street 52-56 Salatiga, Central Java. Campus I UKSW has an overall area of 93,580 m2, consisting of office buildings and lecture buildings. Media information is very important for students to recognize the location of buildings and campus areas. Based on the research, many students have difficulty finding the location of the lecture building and recognize the campus area at the beginning of the lecture. The existing media information that is the two-dimensional map of the campus area presents only limited information. Based on these facts, this research designed virtual panoramic 360o   tour  as  a  medium  of  information  for  Campus  I  SWCU  to  facilitate  new  students  in recognizing the area and providing initial information about the location of the building visually. The design method used is mixed method and linear strategy. The development of visual communication media at this time is very helpful in supporting information and communication. But often presented visual communication  media  are  less  effective  and appropriate. While so many universities in Indonesia, the increasingly fierce competition in attracting new students. Media Visual Communication can be applied to college in introducing or raising the image and popularity or promote and provide information to prospective students. In essence, in this case the effectiveness of media campaigns assessed in spreading information, influence or persuade prospective students and new student to join the university. The method used by the questionnaires to assess the effectiveness of implemented that have been implemented such as  brochures,  banners, posters, billboards, catalogs, paper bag,  flyers  and  merchandise.  In  conclusion,  this  article specifically assess visual communication media from case studies in Perguruan Tinggi Raharja considered effective and consistent contribution.. This study found a great opportunity to improve the promotion of additional digital marketing media campaign called the college through the  stages resulting in some visual communication media that can be received by the target audience. To create a media campaign needs planning in accordance with the background of the problem so that the media are made to overcome the problems encountered

Russian Federal State Educational Standards of 3+ generation impose serious requirements to resource support of educational and training process, including electronic information-educational environment of the University. In the Southwest State University (SWSU), a unified multimedia information and educational environment based on Internet-broadband access technologies was created; it successfully operates and keeps developing. The main concept of this environment construction is the idea of integrating data, applications, and business processes. SWSU Electronic information-educational environment (EIEE) is designed to provide information transparency of the University activities in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation in the sphere of education, to organize educational activities of the University and to ensure access of students and research and academic-staff of the University to information and educational resources. The main components of SWSU EIEE are: the actors of the education and training process (teachers, students, etc.), external digital library systems, internal automated information library system, “SWSU academic courses” subsystem, “Southwest State University Web portal” subsystem, and the official web site of the Southwest State University. “Southwest State University Web portal" subsystem makes it possible to automate traditional basic functions of Dean's office of the University, such as managing student conduct systems for students of Bachelor and Master Degree Programs of full-time and correspondence forms of training; recording and statistical processing of the data on students’ progress; recording students’ achievements; managing Dean's office workflow. As prescribed in Federal State Educational Standards of 3+ generation, Portal Modules are used to record the results of formative and summative assessment of students in accordance with SWSU current score rating system for learning outcomes.

In doing so, one can discern the directions for reform in order to put the university system in a competitive advantage for an emerging knowledge society. This chapter looks at the current state of universities in India and highlights the initiatives under way for change and proposes required policy changes.

In recent years there has been increased discussion of the subjective, emotional and sociological factors influencing student choice of university. However, there is a dearth of information exploring what constitutes these feelings. This exploratory paper uses the conceptual model of the servicescape to provide insight into the emotional factors driving student choice. In-depth interviews with prospective students revealed that first impressions really do count. Students are deterred by poor physical environments and excited by enthusiastic staff and students. Most significantly, the study revealed the necessity of a restorative servicescape to provide both a sense of escape and feeling of belonging. This paper contributes to broadening the application of the servicescape model and to a greater understanding of the impact of the environment on prospective students, and creates an opportunity to inform policy by providing university marketing decision makers with a better understanding of what constitutes the university environment and what makes it appealing to prospective students.

This paper aims at investigating the relationship between the application of innovation and entrepreneurship system and the university competitive advantage in the Jordanian higher education sector.     To collect the required data, the number of some concerned individuals was surveyed through a carefully designed questionnaire that has become the main instrument to obtain the required data.A random sample of university managerial staff was withdrawn from five private Jordanian universities. The collected data was audited, reviewed and statically analyzed using the most relevant statistical test. The results of the statistical analysis have clearly pointed out that university adoption of innovation and entrepreneurship system has a significant effect on its competitive advantage.

The equipment maintenance services have become a new profit center and an important way to gain sustainable competitive advantage for manufacturing enterprises. The business model is an important tool for manufacturing enterprises to derive economic benefits from sustainable competitive advantage in the context of digitalization technologies, such as IoT, big data, and cloud computing. At present, the concept of equipment maintenance business model innovation is still vague, and it is rare to report on the innovation behaviors and types of equipment maintenance business models adopted by manufacturing enterprises. Based on literature analysis of equipment maintenance services and business model innovation, following business model gestalt theory, the concept of equipment maintenance business model innovation is analyzed at the business-level, the types are divided into novel and efficient following value sources—“innovation and efficiency”. The initial scale is developed through literature investigation, semi-structured interviews and expert reviews, and tested by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis by using the data of two independent large-sample questionnaires. The results indicate that the behavior and types of equipment maintenance business model innovation can be described by two types and 19 items.
