Article concerns with a stylistic analysis on a poem in terms of Systemic Functional Linguistics and Verbal Art Semiotics. The writing uses library research, qualitative data, documentary study, descriptive method and intrinsic-objective approach. The semantic analysis results in both automatized and foregrounded meanings. Then the automatized meaning produces lexical cohesion and in turn, it produces subject matter. Meanwhile, the foregrounded meaning produces the literary meaning and in turn, it creates theme. Finally, the analysis indicates that the subject matter is about the establishment of Cambridge University, the literary meaning is about eternal thoughts of Cambridge University, and the theme is about intelligence.

This research aims to discuss literary work through stylistic analysis based on sistemic functional linguistics and literature semiotic system. The research methods used are the librarian study, descriptive method and objective intrinsic approach. The research result shows that the semantic analysis has produced the automatized linguistic meaning and foregrounded linguistic meaning. Next, the first meaning produces the subject matter and the secong meaning produces the literary meaning. Later, the literary meaning produces theme. Finally, it is proved that the subject matter tells about harmony; the literary meaning is about Shelley’s fame; and, the theme is about a famous poet. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji karya sastra melalui analisis stilistika berdasarkan ilmu bahasa fungsional sistemik dan sistem semiotik karya sastra. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi pustaka, metode deskriptif, dan pendekatan intrinsik objektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis semantik menghasilkan makna bahasa latar belakang (the automatized linguistic meaning) dan makna bahasa latar depan (the foregrounded linguistic meaning). Makna pertama menghasilkan masalah utama (subject matter) dan makna kedua menghasilkan makna sastra (literary meaning). Makna sastra menghasilkan tema. Masalah utama berkisah tentang harmoni, makna sastra tentang ketenaran Shelley, dan tema tentang seorang penyair terkenal. Kata kunci: makna bahasa latar belakang, makna bahasa latar depan, makna sastra, tema.

This study aims to analyze a poem from linguistic framework. This is a library research, using qualitative data, documentary study, description, deconstruction and content analysis method. An intrinsic-objective approach is also employed in this research. The analysis commences from lexicogrammar which produces automatized pattern and non-automatized one. The automatized pattern produces the subject matter while the non-automatized pattern yields the first order of meaning. In addition, the first order of meaning serves as symbols to generate the second order of meaning or literary meaning. Finally, the literary meaning navigates us to generalize the deepest meaning of the poem. The research result proves that the subject matter of the poem is ‘the prostitute took the man and the hermit to the indecent swamp and killed them in the morning’. The first order of meaning of this poem refers to the clause six to ten. The literary meaning is ‘in immoral, wicked, and evil places, people do not believe in God anymore’. They do anything to get their ambition-such as wealth, rank, and women. Even, they are proud of their wealth, rank, and of showing their lust. Eventually, the deepest meaning of the poem is about ‘the moral degradation’.

Ladd's Intonational phonology is a substantial addition to an area that has only recently ‘arrived’. Fortunately for the field of intonational phonology, the past two decades have seen a number of seminal contributions from phonologists, including Mark Liberman, Gösta Bruce, Janet Pierrehumbert and Ladd himself. Work on intonation, which has advanced in sync with modern linguistic theory, can also look back on quite a number of rather specific studies by phoneticians and rather general descriptive accounts by linguists and English teachers on this continent and in Europe.The book's basic goal is to present the subject matter of intonational phonology to the non-specialist linguist. The material is not only summarised but also accompanied by critical comments. Ladd's goal of keeping the book accessible to the non-specialist may limit the depth of the presentation of the basic material and the definitiveness of the critical comments, but for many this will be a reasonable price to pay for breadth of coverage.

Introduction. The article analyzes the oikonyms of the modern Odessa region, which were formed during the Turkish-Tatar (Nogai) history of this region. The genetic Turkic names that the Bulgarian settlers moved to a new place of residence from their homeland (or from the territory of Turkey) during the end of the XVIII – first half of the XIX century are analyzed. These names were changed as a result of administrative intervention by the Soviet authorities, mainly during 1944–1945. Аim. The study aims to carry out etymological and structural-semantic analysis of genetically Turkic oikonyms of modern Odessa region. The object of the study is the genetically Turkic names of the settlements of Odesa region (local and transferred by Bulgarian settlers from across the Danube), which were changed administratively mainly after 1944; the subject of research is to find out the etymologies of the corresponding oikonyms and their structural and semantic characteristics. Research methods. For the analysis of oikonyms the descriptive method is applied by means of which the structure of both historical (genetically Turkic), and new (Soviet period) names is characterized, and also reception of the etymological analysis for establishment of etymons of genetically Turkic names of settlements. Research results. The article identifies word-forming models, presents the classification of genetically Turkic oikonyms of Odesa region, clarifies the dеonymic motivation of their creative bases; the structure of new (renamed) names is characterized. Conclusions. It is proved that most renamings do not take into account either the derivation model, which formed the original name of the settlement, or the appellate (onym) meaning of the creative bases, which convincingly testifies to their artificial nature, lack of connection with local nature, historical and cultural features of the region. It should be noted that it is necessary to change the names of the modern Odessa region, in particular the names with the Russian imperial connotation (Alexandrovka, Suvorov), as well as with the Russian-speaking structure (Udobne, Utkonosivka).

This study aims to find out about language errors that occur in an Arabic textbooks entitled Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah of Muhammad In'am, M.A. Not only the errors that were discussed but there was an attempt or Tashwib or correction in order to evaluate the results of the analysis that has been done. Library research was used with a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the subject of the study which is Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah both volumes I and II. In this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: there are errors in language syntactic aspects in the textbooks. There are several categories of errors (refer to the classification of Toto Suharto et al): nakirah Ma'rifah, Dhamir, huruf Jar, Murakkab Idhafi, Isim Isyarah, Jumlah Ismiyah, and Jumlah Fi'liyah. Several reasons were found for the occurrence of these errors, namely lack of accuracy in writing textbooks, lack of workforce that helped the author to edit the material to be presented in textbooks and limited human resources which led to inefficient writing of textbooks. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang beberapa kesalahan-kesalahan berbahasa yang terjadi dalam penulisan buku teks bahasa Arab Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah karya Muhammad In’am. MA, bukan hanya kesalahan-kesalahan yang dibahas tapi ada upaya Tashwib atau pembenaran guna sebagai evaluasi dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan. Ketegori yang digunakan penelitian library research dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dengan objek buku teks bahasa Arab Arab Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah karya Muhammad In’am. MA baik jilid I dan II. Dalam penelitian ini dapat diambil kesimpulan sebagai berikut, bahwa: adanya kesalahan-kesalahan berbahasa aspek sintaksis dalam buku teks Duru>s al-Lughah al-‘Ara>biyah ‘ala Thariqati al-Muba>syarah al-Mutaka>milah karya Muhammad In’am. MA baik jilid I dan II. Ditemukan beberapa kategori kesalahan (merujuk pada klasifikasi Toto Suharto dkk): Nakirah Ma’rifah, Dhamir, huruf Jar, Murakkab Idhafi, Isim Isyarah, Jumlah Ismiyah, dan Jumlah Fi’liyah.  di temukan beberapa alasan terjadinya kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut yakni kurangnya ketelitian dalam menulis buku teks, kurangnya tenaga kerja yang membantu penulis dalam mengedit materi-materi yang akan di sajikan dalam buku teks, keterbatasan sumber daya  manusia yang menyebabkan kurang efisien dalam menulis buku teks. This article aims to explore causality Qs.Al-Ankabut: 45 "Prayer prohibits immorality (fahsha') and wrongdoing (munkar)", There is a cause and effect if prayer is performed, it will prevent the prayer from immorality and wrongdoing. However, Quraish Shihab said that this verse was the subject of discussion and questions of the ulama, especially after seeing many who prayed but the prayer he did not need from immorality and wrongdoing. This is what encourages the author to study this verse, how the meaning of  Islamic prayer in the Qur'an, and what is the meaning immorality (Fahsha') and wrongdoing (munkar) in the Qur'an and how to correlation salat with immorality and wrongdoing. The method is library research, which is research conducted to collect and analyze data sourced from libraries, in the form of books, scientific magazines and various library sources which are used as research references. With data collection and documentation techniques, as for the proposed are various literacy works relating to the subject matter in this study. The results of the authors find that prayers that prevent acts of immorality and wrongdoing are prayers that are done sincerely, done according to the conditions, in harmony, and done with great solemnity, a submissive heart,keeping the prayers and being done continuously and doing sunnah prayers recommended. If the prayer is done in such a way, then the prayer can deter and prevent those who do it from immorality and wrongdoing.

The problem of this study is how the effectiveness of the use of the Lembak language in the delivery of subject matter by teachers to Class VII Students of Tanjung Tanjung State Junior High School Terdana Bengkulu Tengah. The purpose of this study was to find out in detail the effectiveness of the use of Lembak language in the delivery of subject matter by teachers to Grade VII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Terdana Bengkulu Tengah, this study used a descriptive method using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were students in grade VII Tanjung 1 State Middle School There were 117 people in Central Bengkulu. In this study the sample was taken as much as 25% of the population so that the sample amounted to 29 people. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, questionnaire, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques were carried out with the help of interpretation based on percentage calculation (proportion interpretation) and using the help of the Likert Scale. The results of the study show an explanation of the subject matter delivered by the teacher through the Lembak language to students in grade VII of Tanjung 1 Middle School SMP Menghana Bengkulu Tengah can be said to be effective. This is based on the results of the average score of 59.59 if consulted with the Likert scale used, the score is in the interval 51-62 in the effective category. The use of Lembak language by the teacher according to respondents can influence the achievement of learning objectives, the subject matter can be understood by students, the material is mastered by students, students have better learning outcomes and students are motivated to learn.

This study aims to explore and describe the implementation of Culture and Arts instruction based on the revised 2013 curriculum of 2016 edition at SMP Negeri 3 Padang. This is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The research instrument was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing tools and cameras. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysiswas conducted through collecting the data, describing the data, taking conclusion and making suggestions. The results showthat the unisono singing instruction conducted by teachers in class VII-2 of SMP Negeri 3 Padang has not gone well and had not met the targets of the learning objectives and the objectives of the revised 2013curriculum. This can be seen from the planning, implementation, and evaluation. Thereisnorelevancy between the lesson plans and those implemented by the teacher in the classroom. Teachers do not fully understand the concepts and techniques of singing unisono so that students do not understand the subject matter. The results of the unisono learning evaluation of students in class VII-2show that the highest score got only reached 87, the lowest score was 75, and 10 students did not reach the cut score.Keywords : Implementation, Instruction, 2013 Curriculum
