When carrying out professional activities, officers of the VNG of the Russian Federation are often in difficult, stressful, emotionally stressful situations associated with the use of weapons as a particularly dangerous means of destruction. The right to use a weapon by an officer makes him responsible for its use. And therefore requires the officer to make a balanced optimal decision, which is associated with the risk and transience of events, and in which no mistake can be made, since the price of it can be someone's life. It is at such a moment that it is important that the officer has stable skills in making a decision on the use of weapons, and this requires skills not only in managing subordinates or the situation, but in managing himself. The complication of the military-professional activity, manifested in the need to develop the ability to quickly and accurately make command decisions, exacerbating the problem of social responsibility of an officer who has the management of unit that leads to an understanding of his singular personal and professional responsibility, as the ability to govern themselves makes it possible to achieve a positive result of the Department for the DBA. This characterizes the need for a commander to have the ability to manage himself, as a "system" that manages others. Forming skills of self-control, patience, compassion, having mastered algorithms of making managerial decisions, the cycle of implementing managerial functions, etc., a person comes to the belief: "before effectively managing others, it is necessary to learn how to manage yourself." The required level of personal and professional maturity can be formed in a person as a result of purposeful self-management, which determines the special role of professional and personal self-management in the training of future officers.

The military professional training of cadets-military pilots in a military aviation university is conditioned by the trends in the development of military education, its prompt response to the personnel needs of the troops. Aviation units need military pilots who are ready to fulfill the official duties of crew commanders, to solve the urgent task of ensuring flight safety. Training of flight personnel for military aviation does not fully take into account the need to form cadets' competencies as an aviation commander and teacher, which will contribute to ensuring flight safety and increasing the combat potential of aviation units and subunits. The article deals with the problem of flight safety as a factor affecting the national security of Russia, paying attention to the causes of accidents and pilot errors. In the course of the study, it was proved that the military-professional activity of cadets-military pilots is the process of solving professional tasks that ensure the combat readiness of aviation units while observing flight safety conditions. Based on the content analysis of the command and methodological professional tasks based on the activity approach, the leading role of the command-methodological activity has been established. The functional approach and the principle of identification made it possible to identify the functions of the leading command-methodological activity (military flight training and educational, organizational and managerial). Arguments are given regarding the development of cadets not only a set of abilities for command-methodological activity, but also professionally important qualities that integrate command-methodological competence. The structure of competence (motivational-value, cognitive, activity components) is determined taking into account the specifics (leading type of activity) and features (a set of command and methodological professional tasks) of military professional activity. The criteria for the formation of the components of the command-methodical competence (professional purposefulness, intellectual potential, professional responsibility) have been identified. The methodological basis of the pedagogical system for the formation of the command-methodical competence of cadets-military pilots was formed by the system-structural, personality-activity, functional, modular, adaptive, technological and competence-based approaches. The results of the experimental work carried out in the branch of Military Educational-Research Centre of Air Force Air Force Academy in Syzran confirmed the dependence of the cadets' readiness for flight safety activities on the formation of command-methodological competence.

The aim of the study. Identify the features of the structure of professional «I-concepti» of military personnel in accordance with the type of their professional identity (TPI).Research methods. Conversation method, testing.Sample description. The study involved 100 military personnel with different TPI.Conclusions. Summarizing, we can state both similar trends and differences in the characteristics of the structural elements of the professional «I-concept», the nature of the relationship between these components.Cognitive component (professional orientation). Among all possible career orientations, military personnel emphasize that work and place of residence must be stable and important for them, a sense of personal safety, both in professional activity and in personal space.Behavioral component (self-efficacy). The components of the cognitive and behavioral components of the professional self-concept are in feedback. But it should be borne in mind that according to the TPI of military personnel are different professional orientations. There is no correlation between the metrics of all three components of the professional self-concept. There is only a link between the components of its cognitive and emotional components.TPI identifies certain differences in all structural elements of the professional self-concept.Cognitive component (professional orientations). There are no «diffuse» and «pseudo-identity» military personnel from the TPI who are seeking a career. Autonomy at work and in its actions dominates among the military personnel with a «pseudo-identity» TPI compared to their counterparts with a premature TPI. The desire to be a leader is a motivating factor for military personnel with a TPI «moratorium» compared to their counterparts with a TPI «pseudo-identity». For military personnel with diffuse TPI, the most important is the desire for stability and safety at work, than for military personnel with TPI «pseudo-identity».Behavioral component (self-efficacy). Only military personnel with a TPI «moratorium» have an adequate assessment of their self-efficacy. All other TPIs have a clear tendency to diminish their capacity for self-efficacy. There is a feedback of professional orientation (cognitive component) and self-efficacy (behavioral component of professional self-concept). However, it should be borne in mind that according to the TPI of military personnel are different professional orientations.Emotional component (self-esteem). Adequacy of understanding and emotional perception of the value of one’s personality is more often manifested in military personnel with premature and diffuse TPI than their counterparts with TPI «pseudo-identity». Military personnel with diffuse TPI are more aware of and emotionally perceived the value of their personality than their counterparts with the TPI «moratorium».The presence of the relationship between the components of the cognitive and emotional component of the professional "I-concept", depending on the military personnel’s TPI is determined both by the different nature and heterogeneity of these components.

The subject of this publication is very relevant because the history of the military conflicts of the second half of the 19th century have not received detailed development in domestic historical science today. Nikolay Ivanovich Pirogov trained many famous doctors for medical work, one of whom was Alexander Leontyevich Obermiller. The famous scientist-surgeon N.I. Pirogov and his pupil, A.L.Obermiller, the graduate of the Imperial medical-surgical academy, worked together at first in a military and overland hospital, and then were participants in the heroic defense of Sevastopol, helping wounded and sick soldiers in the years of the Crimean War (18531856). They combined medical treatment with organizational work directed to improve the system of medical care during wartime, promoting the innovative methods offered by N.I.Pirogov. Sources of personal origin (N.I. Pirogov's published letters: The Sevastopol letters and memoirs, letters to A.L.Obermiller), the central periodicals including weekly illustrations in the Vsemirnaya Illyustration magazine, publications of the N.I.Pirogov, and also publications of the doctors and scientists D.A.Balalykin, M.N.Kozovenko and S.I.Trikhina and other authors formed the basis of this research. Use of the epistolary heritage of Nikolay Ivanovich Pirogov as the most important source of this research allowed this writer to look at events of the Crimean War and Russian-Turkish War from a position of their contemporaries. The publication is of interest to historians and also to doctors and students of medical educational institutions.

The subject of the article is the preparation of future reserve officers for educational work. The training of reserve officers is carried out by the military departments of higher education institutions of Ukraine. The article contains information that citizens of Ukraine undergo military training on a voluntary basis who have or receive a higher education degree at least a bachelor's degree, fit for military service for health reasons and moral and business qualities. Citizens can undergo military training, subject to the correspondence of the specialties that they or for which they are trained in the institution of higher education, the military accounting specialty, in which the training of reserve officers is carried out. The leading feature of the military professional activity of a military leader is the dominant professional orientation, which manifests itself in an orientation toward working with personnel and active interpersonal interaction, toward organizing activities, toward tough interaction with the enemy. In this regard, the officer must have a broad developed practical thinking and managerial competence. The information and analytical component of the training of future reserve officers provides for: 1) information and presentation meetings of candidates for training under the training program for reserve officers with officers of the military commissariat; 2) professional excursions and to military units of candidates for training under the training program for reserve officers, in which potential applicants can communicate with platoon commanders and company commanders, get acquainted with the daily activities of the platoon; 3) self-testing of potential applicants for professional self-determination and readiness for management activities. The formation of the communicative competence of reserve officers provides for the following factors: pedagogy of cooperation, personality-oriented education, an active personal position of the future reserve officer, critical thinking, the formation of language culture and the influence of mentors. One of the effective means of improving the level of training of military specialists is the use of modern information technologies, in particular, virtual computer systems and computer networks (simulation) models. They, first of all, should contribute to the comprehension and assimilation of educational material, as well as to ensure the possibility of a comprehensive assessment of the readiness of the future reserve officer for independent activity, the timely introduction of individual adjustments in the training of a military specialist. The main methodological foundations of the process of individualization of training: the organization of additional classes with students who have gaps in knowledge, by organizing optional classes; search for ways to individualize learning within a specific lesson; inclusion of the weak in the subgroups of well-prepared students. The practical application of these theoretical principles will contribute to the formation of a military specialist and the preparation of future reserve officers for educational work.

Due to the collapse of the Sovietsystem ofmilitary professional orientation it has become necessary to review the work with pre-conscription youth oriented toward military service; the work, includes, among other things, expanding a network of cadet educational organizations. The main goals in forming the military-professional orientation of pre-conscription youth are achieved by providing resources for the educational process, service and extracurricular activities. Motivational and value-based attitude toward military service is developed throughout the entire educational period; this contributes to the formation of cadets’ readiness to become career militaryofficers and choose military service as a priority type of professional activity. Having analyzed psychological and pedagogical literature,we came to the conclusion that the system of military orientation of pre-conscription youth currently implemented in cadet corps, will contribute to the effective development of young people’s orientation toward military service.
