Tourism is one industry that is growing rapidly. Lots of models are offered and one of them is cultural tourism. One example of cultural tourism is a temple and a museum. In addition to the introduction through the temples and museums, the government's approach to conduct activities such as Dieng Culture Festival. Within these activities, the public can know more about the traditional ceremonial and moral values of Dieng. However, interest in the festival began to decrease each year. That's because the lack of a media campaign that resulted in people becoming not know and less concerned about the cultural tourism. If it continues, the cultural attractions such as museums will sink and disappear eroded by age. In this study, will discuss ways of promoting cultural tourism through the use of technology so that cultural tourism can be known internationally

The tourism industry is an industry that continues to grow in the world, including in Indonesia. Likewise, Kebumen Regency has various tourism potentials ranging from water tourism, mountain tourism, culinary tours, cave tours, cultural tourism and others. One of them is Curug Sindaro, which is located in the north of Kebumen Regency which is precisely located in Wadasmalang Village, Karangsambung District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java. However, in the process of developing and managing it, the tour, which was inaugurated on March 3, 2019, is increasingly experiencing a decline in visitors. Which is where, the main problem is that the promotion is still not optimal. In the existing tourism development process, of course, requires the media used to carry out promotions with a good marketing strategy. In order to be easily affordable, the right marketing strategy to use is an online marketing strategy. By analyzing promotional needs and analyzing keywords, it can maximize promotion. The purpose of this research is to implement Local SEO using Google My Business as a promotional medium for Wisata Curug Sindaro which is an online marketing strategy. If the Sindaro waterfall tour is promoted through Google my business, tourists around the Sindaro waterfall will find it easy to find Sindaro waterfall tourism through google and it is hoped that visitors will increase. Because, in this Google My Business has sufficient features for promotion. With the initial stage of registering a Google My Business account, then claiming an existing business. Because previously the Sindaro Curug Tour was already on Google Pages. With several stages of verification and changing the cellphone number that stated the Google My Business account for Sindaro Curug Tourism has been successfully created. However, due to the verification method there are obstacles that have been successfully created is the web page for the Sindaro Waterfall Tour.

Solo City located in Central Java Province with potential cultural tourism. Tourist objects in Solo City were varied from traditional, namely Kasunanan Solo Palace, to modern, such as Beteng Trade Center. Tourists are freely to visit those tourist objects and bought souvenirs that were easily to found around the city. This study aim to describe tourist’s characteristics who visited Solo City. The characteristics were divided into demographic aspect, physiologic aspect, and tourist trip pattern. Method used in this study was mixed and questionnaires were distributed among 100 respondents, then result was describe into preferred aspects. The results were clustered into specific aspects. Demographic aspect showed that most of the tourist was woman, aged between 15-24 years old, the majority of respondents were not civil servant or industrial labor, high school graduated, and not married. Physiologic aspect showed majority of respondents visited Solo City no more than 12 hours, and spend mostly on trip cost. Lastly, from tourist trip pattern, majority were traveled with non-family group, for holiday purposed, and arranged independently. Key words: characteristic, demographic, physiologic, tourism, trip

Abstract: Magelang is a district in Central Java. Magelang has many tourist attractions, including natural and cultural tourism and temples. Therefore, many foreign and local tourists visit Magelang. The number of tourists coming to Magelang from 2013 to 2017 experienced a significant increase. One of the tourists’ favorite destinations was Borobudur Temple in 2017. Thus, tourists who visit need an information place to facilitate tourism information, give them new and broad insights, and provide them with up-to-date information. The Tourism Information Center itself is already available in Borobudur, Magelang, and has some rooms to support activities. However, some functions of the rooms have problems of inadequacy, so that visitors are reluctant to come there. The contextual architecture approach is used because the site area is near the tourist area of Borobudur Temple, so that the contextual architecture approach is very appropriate to apply. The concept of the mass composition which tells the composition of the Borobudur master stupa is applied and the materials identical to Borobudur Temple are also used as well. The landscape concept from the history of Borobudur Temple which used to be a lake is applied into several ponds, so that the Tourism Information Center has an identity in the area as a means of tourism information.Keywords: Borobudur, Contextual Architecture, Magelang, Redesign, Tourism Information Center. Abstrak: Magelang merupakan sebuah kabupaten di Jawa Tengah. Magelang mempunyai banyak tempat wisata, baik wisata alam, budaya, serta candi.  Sehingga banyak wisatawan asing maupun lokal yang berkunjung ke Magelang. Diagram wisatawan yang datang ke Magelang dari tahun 2013 sampai 2017 mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Salah satu tujuan favorit wisatawan yaitu Candi Borobudur. Pada tahun 2017.Dengan demikian wisatawan yang berkunjung memerlukan tempat informasi untuk mempermudah informasi wisatawan, memberi wawasan baru dan luas terhadap wisatawan, memberikan informasi up date kepada wisatawan. Tourism Information Center. Tourism Information Center sendiri sudah tersedia di Borobudur Magelang, dan mempunyai beberapa ruang untuk menunjang kegiatan. Namun dari beberapa fungsi ruang mempunyai permasalahan yang dianggap kurang layak, sehingga pengunjung enggan untuk datang ke sini. Pendekatan arsitektur kontekstual digunakan karena area site berada di dekat kawasan wisata Candi Borobudur, sehingga pendekatan arsitektur kontekstual sangat layak digunakan. Konsep gubahan masa yang menceritakan gubahan stupa induk borobudur diterapkan, material yang identik dengan Candi Borobudur juga digunakan pula. Pengambilan konsep lanskap dari sejarah Candi Borobudur yang dulunya danau diterapkan menjadi beberapa kolam. Magelang Regency had the highest tourism revenue in Central Java. Mendut and Pawon temples include cultural tourism. But in recent years Mendut and Pawon temple tourism revenues did not meet the target. The purpose of this study was to analyze tourist preferences towards Mendut and Pawon Temple cultural attractions, analyze the development strategies that need to be carried out by the Magelang District Government in the development of Mendut and Pawon Temple cultural tourism, and analyze alternative development models of Mendut and Pawon Temples. The population in the study were tourists who visited Mendut and Pawon temple attractions. The number of research samples was 100 tourists and 2 keypersons and were taken purposively. Data collection methods use questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that analysis of the tourist preferences of Mendut Temple was the best aspect of location comfort while Candi Pawon was the best aspect of accessibility, the development strategies of Mendut and Pawon temples in the Matrix Grand Strategy are both in quadrant 1, there are alternative development models of Mendut and Pawon temples that involve the community. Implications of the research of this study is the existence of collaboration between relevant agencies to develop both development and tourism to attract tourists, in addition to the promotion of Mendut and Pawon Temple cultural tourism was again enhanced. Kabupaten Magelang memiliki pendapatan wisata tertinggi di Jawa Tengah. Candi Mendut dan Pawon termasuk wisata budaya. Namun dalam beberapa tahun terakhir pendapatan pariwisata Candi Mendut dan Pawon tidak memenuhi target. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis preferensi wisatawan terhadap objek wisata budaya Candi Mendut dan Pawon, menganalisis strategi pengembangan yang perlu dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Magelang dalam pengembangan wisata budaya Candi Mendut dan Candi Pawon, serta menganalisis model pengembangan alternatif Candi Mendut dan Pawon. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah wisatawan yang mengunjungi objek wisata Candi Mendut dan Pawon. Jumlah sampel penelitian adalah 100 wisatawan dan 2 keypersons dan diambil secara sengaja. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa analisis preferensi wisatawan dari Candi Mendut adalah aspek terbaik dari kenyamanan lokasi sedangkan Candi Pawon adalah aspek terbaik dari aksesibilitas, strategi pengembangan candi Mendut dan Pawon dalam Matriks Grand Strategy keduanya berada di kuadran 1, ada model pengembangan alternatif candi Mendut dan Pawon yang melibatkan masyarakat. Implikasi dari penelitian penelitian ini adalah adanya kolaborasi antara instansi terkait untuk mengembangkan pembangunan dan pariwisata untuk menarik wisatawan, selain promosi wisata budaya Candi Mendut dan Candi Pawon pun kembali ditingkatkan.

Abstract The potential of culture and local wisdom in tourism development is part of the product of human creativity that has economic value. The aim of the study was to analyze cultural-based tourism and local wisdom in Central Java which was packaged in the form of festivals. The research method used is qualitative analysis through observation directly and in-depth interviews with parties related to the study. While the analysis method used is Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threats (SWOT) analysis. Analysis of Structures, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) is used to analyze the potential and problems of culture-based tourism and local wisdom in each research location including potential and internal and external problems. Local culture, especially in Demak Regency, Kudus Regency, and Jepara Regency, in general, has unique potential and centers of handicraft products that can be developed to enhance local cultural tourism. The strategy to improve local cultural tourism is formulated based on strength, weakness, opportunity and local cultural threats. The strategy for packaging local culture, especially the local culture of Kabupaten Demak, the local culture of Kudus Regency, and the local culture of Jepara Regency. The existence of Central Java Fair can be used as a media for promotion and introduction of local tourism destinations (DTW).

AbstractThis article is explain of ritual commucation pilgrim "ngalap berkah" in the Kemukus mountain, ethnographic study of communication about cultural tourism zone ritual pilgrimage in Mount Kemukus, Pendem Village, District Sumber Lawang, Sragen, Central Java. The results showed that for the local community a message of what is hidden behind this ritual is still ambiguity. But in the process of social interaction between indigenous communities with immigrant communities, both in terms of livelihoods, different behavior patterns, causing local people trying to accept changes to the meaning of "ngalap berkah". It is caused when the pilgrimage locations have changed or constructed for tourist commodification, and is thought to enhance the growth of local economies, which have an impact on improving social and economic conditions of the communities in Pendem.Keywords: ritual communication, ethnographic communications, ritual pilgrimage ngalap berkah, kemukus mountain

Ecocultural tourism is a hybrid of ecotourism and cultural tourism. This research deals with ecocultural tourism in Tegal Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to investigate the hybridity of ecotourism and cultural tourism in the Tegal Regency. This research uses ecocultural theory and ecocultural tourism theory. The methods applied in this research are library research and fieldwork. Library research is applied to collect informative data about ecocultural tourism. The fieldwork is applied to collect data by interviewing the informants of tourism in Tegal Regency. By applying the theory and the methods, it is found that the hybridity of ecotourism and cultural tourism becomes the strategy to develop ecocultural tourism in Tegal Regency. On the one hand, ecocultural events relate to natural conservations; on the other hand, the events related to cultural conservations. The ecocultural tourism events become the prime tourist attractions that are able to attract local, domestic, and foreign tourists.

Borobudur and Prambanan Temples are icons of cultural tourism in Central Java and Yogyakarta. Increasing settlement, tourist and new facilities, especilly garden, cause the icreasing of groundwater usage. In the long term, the usage of groundwater that exceed the recharge can cause various impact such as land subsidence that can make damage of temples structure. The objectives of this study are to identify the rock stratigraphy in research area and know thecondition of aquifer and its groundwater potency. To achieve these goals, it is carried out geoelectric sounding in 10 samples point, namely five points in Borobudur Temple and five points in Prambanan Temple. To analyse sounding data, the resistivity data from field sounding are interpreted by Schlumberger O’Neil Programme. Base on the interpretation, can be determined rock stratigraphy, aquifer condition and qualitative potency estimation of groundwater in the research area. The results showed that the rock stratigraphy in sourrounding Borobudur and Prambanan Temples are different. The area surrounding Borobudur Temple consist of sand, gravel, tuff, lapilli, claystoneand sandstone, whereas in Prambanan are consist of sand, gravel, soil, rock fracture and sand clayed. Aquifer layer in Borobudur area are consist of sand, gravel , tuff and lapilli, whereas in Prambanan area are consist of sand and gravel. Base on its aquifer material, the groundwater potency in Prambanan area is higher than Borobudur area.Key words : rock stratigraphy, aquifer condition.

Rembang is a regency in Central Java province, has 14 districts one of which is the District Lasem. Cu An Kiong temple is the oldest temple in Central Java, which has a wealth of cultural, historical stories, art, and has great potential as a tourist destination mainstay in Rembang, Central Java. This study aims to introduce Cu An Kiong temple as a cultural tourism destination other than Kartini Museum and shopping at batik Lasem better known and visited by tourists. The role of government introduced Cu An Kiong temple as a tourist destination in Rembang are still not maximum and effective. This study used a qualitative descriptive and SWOT analysis The study also focused on the potential for Cu An Kiong temple that is worth a visit by tourists. Results from this study is that the Cu An Kiong temple can be recognized as one of the tourist destinations worth visiting in Rembang. Keywords: cultural tourism, Destination Tourism, visitors
