Rembang is a regency in Central Java province, has 14 districts one of which is the District Lasem. Cu An Kiong temple is the oldest temple in Central Java, which has a wealth of cultural, historical stories, art, and has great potential as a tourist destination mainstay in Rembang, Central Java. This study aims to introduce Cu An Kiong temple as a cultural tourism destination other than Kartini Museum and shopping at batik Lasem better known and visited by tourists. The role of government introduced Cu An Kiong temple as a tourist destination in Rembang are still not maximum and effective. This study used a qualitative descriptive and SWOT analysis The study also focused on the potential for Cu An Kiong temple that is worth a visit by tourists. Results from this study is that the Cu An Kiong temple can be recognized as one of the tourist destinations worth visiting in Rembang. Keywords: cultural tourism, Destination Tourism, visitors

Spatial potentials and problems in coastal areas are complex, ranging from potential and economic problems, geographical vulnerability, social vulnerability to human resources and resources being managed less than optimal. This study aims to develop a fishing village based on the concept of “Anak Nagari” as a new tourist destination in the city of Padang with community empowerment. This research uses qualitative descriptive research method with scoring/weighting analysis and SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat). The result obtained is the high potential of fishing village of Pasie Nan Tigo with its many attractions of fishing communities’ activities and original environment that can be developed as tourist destinations. Having high access of location close to the center of Padang City and Minangkabau International Airport as its strength and opportunity, Pasie Nan Tigo Fisherman Village is a fishing village which still holds a strong social and cultural life of “Anak Nagari”. It exists as cultural treasure in the middle of modern life, but at the same time can also be a threat for the development of fishing village.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the tourism potential and formulate the development of the Matalafang Traditional Village as a cultural tourism destination in Alor Regency. Matalafang Traditional Village is one of the tourist destinations, where the Abui tribes live. The Abui tribe, as one of the largest tribes who inhabit Nusa Kenari Island, has various cultural potentials tourism to be developed. This is in line with the increasing number of tourists visiting. Through qualitative descriptive methods, extracting information is obtained by field observations, structured interviews with 6 key informants, documentation of traditional villages, and literature studies on Matalafang Traditional Village and Alor Regency Tourism. The results showed that the attractiveness of cultural tourism in the Matalafang Traditional Village in the form of the Balai Hatel Traditional Ceremony as a ritual to enter the garden, the Caka Lele dance, the unifying dance of the Alor community Lego-Lego, weaving Ikat for dancing, the fourth level traditional house, and various woven bamboo crafts for putting sirih pinang traditional snacks on it. The strategy formulation is an effort to develop the Matalafang Traditional Village as a cultural tourism destination, such as increasing the awareness of culture-based tourism for the local community, maintaining the authenticity of dance as a tourist attraction, increasing tourist activities after the ritual of opening the garden as alternative tourism, and maintaining the condition of the traditional village that is still original.Keywords: Destinations, Traditional Villages, Matalafang, Cultural Tourism, Development Strategies

Jeneponto Regency has various kinds of natural attractions and cultural tourism that can be managed and developed so that it becomes an attractive tourist destination. One of the natural potentials of Jeneponto Regency is bathing in Tamalatea Sub-district called Permandian Birtaria Kassi. The bath was once very crowded but in recent years there has been a drastic decline and has resulted in a decline in tourist interest. This study aims to find out and analyze the effectiveness of the role of the Regional Government in revitalizing tourism in Permandian Birtaria Kassi, Tamalatea Subdistrict, Jeneponto Regency. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with a unit of analysis Bathing in Birtaria Kassi, Jeneponto Regency that uses 4 key informants.  Oka revealed that there are three aspects in measuring the effectiveness of the government's role in fulfilling tourism facilities and infrastructure, namely Attraction, Accessibility, and Amenities. The results of the study indicate that the role of the government has not been effective in revitalizing the bath of Birtaria Kassi. Therefore, the authors suggest that the regional government of Jeneponto Regency prepare a Human Resource Data Manager who is competent in their fields, allocates a special budget to fix all existing infrastructure shortcomings and the need for cooperation between all stakeholders in maintaining security and comfort for tourists.

Cilacap is one of the districts in Central Java that has tourism potential with various tourism destination. One of them is Waduk Kubangkangkung. This Waduk Kubangkangkung is a tourism destination that offers beautiful natural tourism and also attractive tourism attraction. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the local community in Waduk Kubangkangkung development, knowing the manager‘s efforts in developing Waduk Kubangkangkung as a sustainable tourism destination, and finding the development strategy of Waduk Kubangkangkung to attract tourists . While the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and SWOT analysis. The results of this study are the need for collaboration between managers and other stakeholders towards Waduk Kubangkangkung, improve promotion and also facilities that needed by tourists. The development and management of tpurism conducted professionally can increase tourist visits and improve the economy of the community. Klaten Regency has many tourist destinations, one of which is the interesting natural attractions of the Getuk River located in the village of Socokangsi, Jatinom district. The destinations is fairly new and still needs a lot of improvements, both infrastructure to supporting the activities of tourism.The research method uses qualitative method and data analysis using SWOT analysis is used as the formulation of strategy problem on the identification of internal and external factors on the object that has been studied.Getuk River which the management is still done by the local community requires the role of government to be able to develop the potential of existing tourism and can be managed professionally so as to bring in local and foreign tourists.

Cultural tourism is a tour where visitors traveling with the purpose of carrying out activities to enjoy cultural attractions, such as ancient. Cultural tourism is almost there in all regions in Indonesia one of Pagar Alam. Pagar Alam has varied tourism potential of one of ancient megalithic sites of cultural tourism. Remains of megalithic sites in Pagar Alam lying spread out and form a very diverse form of statues, dolmen, stone house. The existence of megalithic sites of cultural tourism at this time received less attention, availability of facilities and infrastructure that is not yet complete, as well as promotion and publicity that has been done is still lacking. This study aims to determine the potential role of the public and government's strategy of development of cultural tourism ancient megalithic sites in Pagar Alam. To achieve the objectives of this research method used is descriptive qualitative analysis methods, including analysis of existing conditions, analysis of the role of communities and governments, development analysis, and analysis of tourism development strategy by conducting a SWOT analysis. From the analysis performed that in the development of cultural tourism sites megaitikum many of the problems faced is the lack of coordination and attention from various parties, the limited funds so many poorly-maintained condition megalithic sites, tourism development has not been prioritized. Therefore, the role of government and society is needed in the development strategy of the megalithic sites of cultural tourism, by preparing a program of activities as the proposed development of cultural tourism.

This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a SWOT analysis tool; namely Internal-external situation analysis which aims to determine the strengths and weaknesses as well as the factors that become opportunities and threats for the development of the Coban Parang Tejo tourism area in Malang, and the application and implementation of Community Based Tourism principles for the development of the Coban Parang Tejo tourism area. The results of the study concluded that the concept of CBT has been applied in tourism management in Coban Parang Tejo (CPT) which was applied in the form of local community participation, the formation of a tourism village institution, environmentally friendly tourism management, the role of government, cooperation with investors and the creation of community business activities. From the SWOT analysis generated promotional strategies based on the strengths and weaknesses of tourism in CPT, 1) SO strategy by increasing the number of interesting vehicles adjusted to the local wisdom of the Perinci village community, so that it has its own distinct characteristics / uniqueness that is different from other tours; 2) ST Strategy by increasing the competitiveness of Coban Parang Tejo; 3) WO Strategy by increasing facilities / infrastructure and existing infrastructure; and 4) WT strategy by collaborating with investors and strengthening community communities. All of which are in the context of improving the welfare of the community.

Along with the culture changing of modern society that positions tourist visits as a necessity, Yogyakarta has become a tourist destination for tourists. However, if it's observed, the existing destinations have not shown significant development. The destinations offered are still old destinations such as Malioboro and surrounding areas which are tourist icons in Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, other districts in Yogyakarta keep on developing tourist destinations in their area. Therefore, Yogyakarta needs to find new breakthroughs to keep attracting tourists. Tourism village development needs to be intensified so that it can become a cultural tourism destination. However, the tourism village has not been widely known by the public. In the implementation of policies in the tourism field, community participation in tourism villages has not been managed intensively. Based on the background, this study aims to describe and analyze community participation in tourism management, especially Dipowinatan Tourism Village in Yogyakarta. This research uses qualitative research. Through the Community Based Tourism (CBT) approach, residents feel that they have a cultural tourism destination in their area and participate in developing these destinations and can increase the economic income of the residents. Thus, to realize sustainable tourism, there is a need for participation from the community where the community is involved in the implementation of tourism policies through the management of tourism villages. Tourism Object Sendang Asri Gajah Mungkur Reservoir is the most visited tourist destinations compared to other tourist objects in the Wonogiri region. The uniqueness that is owned by the tourism object of Sendang Asri is often held certain events such as new year, Idul Fitri holidays, the title of cultural tourism and so on which at that time the number of visitors far beyond the ordinary day. Many factors affect the amount of tourist visits, especially in Tourism Object of Sendang Asri Gajah Mungkur Reservoir such as existing facilities, ease of location, uniqueness and service, price and beauty and scarcity of objects.This research aimed to test whether factors which researchers convey the above  have effect excursions on tourism visit to tourism object of Sendang Asri Wonogiri. With this research is expected the manager can take strategy in managing this area. In   this research  into the  object  is  the  visitor  of  tourism  object  of  Sendang  Asri  Gajah Mungkur Reservoir. Because of the limitations of the researchers, the researchers used samples with convenience Random Sampling. Data analysis techniques used were factor analysis with variable determination stage, correlation matrix formation, factor extraction, matrix rotation, model determination test and SWOT analysis. Expected research outputs are publications in International journals, Materials to be submitted in scientific meetings, simple Intellectual Property Rights and teaching materials lectures.

Government of India launched a ‘Swadesh Darshan Scheme’ in January 2015 that pinpoints 13 designated circuits including Ramayana circuit, Krishna Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, and Spiritual Circuit to promote religious and cultural tourism in the country. Kurukshetra is a ‘Holy City’ of State of Haryana that is recently been added in ‘Krishna Religious Tourism Circuit’. ‘Krishna Circuit’ embraces inherent mythology and beliefs pertaining to Lord Krishna and includes different place of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujrat, and Odisha for tourism facilitation. This scheme is alleged to contribute significantly in increasing the attractiveness of certain religious tourist destinations. Tourism entrepreneurs like hoteliers, restaurant owners, tour operators, travel agencies as well as religious entrepreneurs (Shinde, 2010) such as religious gurus, priests and managers of temples and ashrams are expected to get benefited from the initiatives proposed in the scheme in varied ways. Given the significant role of this scheme for growth of entrepreneurs, the present study aims to highlight the challenges faced by entrepreneurs that deserve attention of policy makers.
