This study was aimed at increasing High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of third semester Citizenship Education (CE) students in Social Psychology of Learning course through the application of Six Thinking Hats Method (STH). This research was conducted using the method of classroom action research, which were carried out by two cycles, with the subject of the study were all students of the third semester CE study program class who participated in the course of Educational Psychology. Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that through the application of Six Thinking Hats method can increase (HOTS). This was evident from the increase in test scores that have been designed to measure students' critical thinking skills, where achievement test scores in the moments before the implementation of learning using STH method only in the range of 46.0, then after the first cycle increased to 53.9 and at the end of the second cycle increased to 69.8, meaning increased 23.9 points. Furthermore, the observation also showed improvement in the students’ ways of thinking, indicated by the students began to be able to think critically after the learning process in the classroom using the STH.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan bahwa kemandirian belajar, kebiasaan berpikir, dan kreativitas dapat dijadikan sebagai prediktor terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan bentuk penelitiannya berupa penelitian ex post facto. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik pengukuran dan komunikasi tidak langsung sehingga alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes HOTS dan angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester I program studi pendidikan matematika IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan diperoleh satu kelas sebagai sampel penelitian dengan jumlah mahasiswa sebanyak 30 orang. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan statistik inferensial, regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: kemandirian belajar dapat dijadikan prediktor terhadap HOTS, kebiasaan berpikir dapat dijadikan prediktor terhadap HOTS, kreativitas dapat dijadikan prediktor terhadap HOTS, dan kemandirian belajar, kebiasaan berpikir, dan kreativitas secara simultan dapat dijadikan sebagai prediktor terhadap HOTS. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa yang dapat mempengaruhi HOTS tidak hanya model atau strategi pembelajaran saja, tetapi ada variabel lain yang bisa berpengaruh terhadap HOTS seperti kemandirian belajar, kebiasaan berpikir, dan kreativitas.   AbstractThe purpose of this research was to show that self regulated learning, habit of mind, and creativity could be used as predictors of high order thinking skills (HOTS). This research used quantitative method, ex post facto research. Data collection techniques used measurement and indirect communication techniques and data collection tool that used was HOTS test and questionnaire. The population were all undergraduate students of the first semester of mathematics education study program IKIP PGRI Pontianak. The sample of this research was taken by using the random cluster sampling technique and one class was obtained as a research sample with 30 students. Data analysis techniques in this study used inferential statistics, multiple regression. Based on the result of research, it was found that: self regulated learning could be a predictor of HOTS, habits of mind could be predictor of HOTS, creativity could be predictor of HOTS, and self regulated learning, habit of mind, and creativity simultaneously could be used as predictors of HOTS. The results of this study also indicated that the influence of HOTS was not only the model or learning strategy used but there were other variables like self regulated learning, habit of mind, and creativity.

Developing evaluation instruments in the student learning process in interactive, fun, challenging, motivating, and developing students 'creativity and independence were needed to improve students' High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and digital literacy skills (DLS). HOTS and digital literacy were part of the 21st-century skills that were important for every individual. This study developed a test instrument integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) and Google Scholar (GS) to encourage HOTS and students' digital literacy skills. This type of research was development research based on the following development steps: information gathering, planning, initial product development, limited trial, initial product revision, field trial, and final product revision. The subject matter was the scale and comparison. Product trials were applied to 11th-grade students in Sleman, Indonesia. Product validity was based on expert judgment, item validity, distinguishing power, difficulty level and reliability to reach a good category in general. AR was created using the ARLOOPA application operated with android. The research instrument was designed to increase HOTS and DLS.

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan Mobile Learning dengan pendekatan matematik realistik pada mata kuliah Geometri ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis. Adapun target khusus yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini yaitu menguji efektifitas perangkat pembelajaran Mobile Learning dengan pendekatan matematik realistik pada mata kuliah Geometri ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Program Studi pendidikan Matematika Universitas PGRI Semarang. Prosedur pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model yang dikembangkan Borg dan Gall yang meliputi 10 tahapan. Dalam penelitian ini tahapan yang dilakukan hanya sampai pada tahap kelima yaitu Main Product Revision.Analisis pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membandingkan antara data dengan kriteria-kriteria, yaitu praktis dan efektif. Pada kriteria praktis menunjukkan hasil evaluasi ahli media sebesar 93%, ahli materi sebesar 83%, dan mahasiswa sebesar 86%. Dalam kriteria efektif produk ditunjukan dari prestasi belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibanding dengan kelas kontrol. Dari analisis menggunakan uji-t didapatkan  thitung > ttabel yaitu 5,98 > 1,71, maka Ho ditolak artinya pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media mobile learning dengan pendekatan matematik realistik lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa media mobile learning dengan pendekatan realistik matematik ini efektif digunakan sebagai proses pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Mobile learning, Geometri, Pendekatan Realistik Matematik. ABSTRACSThe purpose of this research is to develop a Mobile Learning with realistic mathematical approach to the subject geometry in terms of critical thinking skills. The specific targets to be achieved in this research is to test the effectiveness of the learning Mobile Learning with realistic mathematical approach to the subject geometry in terms of critical thinking skills of students in Mathematics Education Study Program University of PGRI Semarang. Learning software development procedures using the model developed Borg and Gall which includes 10 stages. In this research phase is done only until the fifth stage, namely Main Product Revision.The analysis in this study is done by comparing the data with the criteria, that is practical and effective. On practical criteria shows the results of the expert evaluation of media by 93%, amounting to 83% of material experts, and students by 86%. Effective products in the criteria indicated from experimental class learning achievement better than the control class. From the analysis using t-test obtained t count> t table ie 5.98> 1.71, then Ho is rejected it means learning using mobile learning media with realistic mathematical approach is better than the conventional learning. So it can be concluded that mobile learning media with realistic mathematical approach is effectively used as a learning process. Keywords: Mobile learning, Geometry, Mathematical Realistic Approach.

The aim of study to improve competency junior high school mathematics teachers in Solok Selatan district in compiling Olympiad questions mathematics and solving problems based on high order thinking skills (HOTS). The target audience for community service is mathematics teachers incorporated in the Subject Mathematics Teacher's Consultation (MGMP) Mathematics in Solok Selatan. The method used in the service includes the presentation of material by the team community service then carried out the pre test and post test, the design of the question HOTS, discussion and question and answer sessions at the math Olympiad. Conclusions of this research is: There is a positive increase in teacher competency after being given training in compiling math Olympiad questions that the posttest results are better than the results pretest in the training to improve the competency of mathematics teachers in compiling the questions Mathematical Olympiad based on high order thinking skills of SMPN in Solok Selatan District

This study aimed to improve students’ high order thinking skills (HOTS) specifically in Statistics Method I subject by implementing the "what-if" learning strategy. This research is a two-cycle classroom action research. The subjects of this study were as many as 16 students in the 2018/2019 academic year as semester IIA students from the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. Techniques for collecting data used interviews, observations, and essay tests. This research used two methods for data analysis, i.e. qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis uses methods such as mathematical models and analyses that are performed by conducting explanations restricted to data management techniques. Moreover, the quantitative analysis used a simple level calculation to determine the average value and completeness level of students’ high order thinking skills. The study results showed an increase in the students’ high order thinking skills from the first cycle to the second cycle. The average score of the students’ high order thinking skills only exceeded 71.125 with completeness level 62.5 percent in the first cycle.

The aim of this research is to produce HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) lesson through a valid, practical, and effective discovery learning model for class XI high schools to improve students' critical thinking skills. This research is a development that refers to the Borg & Gall model. The subject trials for grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Sangatta Utara, East Kutai. Validity and practicality analysis techniques used percentage of descriptive techniques. The effectiveness analysis technique is by looking at the percentage of increase in students' pretest-posttest results. The result of this research in the form of development of learning tools which included: Syllabus, teaching materials, LKPD, and assessment instruments. The result showed that learning tools that have been developed meet the validity with a validity percentage of 99.66% which is categorized as very valid. The practicality of the lesson plan produced is very practical, this is indicated by the assessment of students as research respondents about 85.93%. HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) lesson plan through Discovery Learning model to improve student’s critical thinking skills that are produced are able to provide the effectiveness learning, it looked through an increased in learning between pretest and posttest about 33%.Keywords: development, lesson plan, HOTS (high order thinking skill), discovery learning model, students' critical thinking skill

High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is the ability to connect, manipulate, and change the knowledge and experience that is owned critically and creatively in determining decisions to solve problems in new situations. To include HOTS questions in a learning process is an obstacle for Madrasah teachers, including teachers of PC. LP. Maarif NU Lamongan. This community service aimed at improving the pedagogical competence of mathematics teachers of PC. LP. Maarif NU Lamongan. Community-Based Research (CBR) was employed through workshop and training administered by the Mathematics Study Program of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya in designing and completing high order thinking questions followed by assistance. The results indicated that the ability of Madrasah teachers to solve HOTS questions as well as its implementation in classroom teaching and learning activities improved significantly.

This study aims to develop Student Worksheets with Problem Based Learning (PBL) models based on High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions on the subject of Building Square and Rectangular Flat. This type of research is development research that refers to the Thiagarajan 4-D Model. Data collection techniques using expert validation techniques, learning outcomes tests and questionnaires. The results showed that the worksheets that had been developed were valid, practical and effective with the validity coefficient of worksheets being 0.89 with very high criteria. Practical coefficient reached 92% with very good category and 85% effectiveness coefficient with good category. Student responses to learning activities and components of the worksheet are positive, reaching 95% of students happy with the teaching component. ABSTRAK Pembuatan soal yang baik dan benar menjadi sayarat utama dalam menunjang kompetensi profesional pedagogik seorang dosen. Pembuatan soal merupakan bagian dari penilaian yang bertujuan untuk mengukur kompetensi minimal capaian yang diperoleh peserta didik setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran. Penerapan penilaian High Order Thinking Skills (HOTs) menjadi landasan pada sebuah penilaian dengan kemampuan pada ranah kognitif menganalisis, mensintesis dan mengevaluasi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah melakukan  pembinaan dosen melalui bimbingan teknis ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional Dosen Poltekkes Negeri Tanjung Karang mengenai bentuk penilaian konvensional dan otentik berbasis High Order Thingking Skills. Metode pembinaan bimtek yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah menerapkan strategi kontekstual, yaitu mengaitkan antara teori dengan praktik yang disampaikan  dengan metode praktik terbimbing yaitu sistim pengajaran yang berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah yang dihadapi dosen program studi Teknologi Laboratorium Medis, Program Sarjana Terapan sebanyak 20 orang. Kegiatan bimtek memberikan wawasan dan peningkatan pemaham dosen mengenai Penyusunan kisi-kisi dan analisis soal HOTs. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta bernilai positif mengalami peningkatan dengan rataan skor N-gain sebesar 79 (dalang katagori tinggi). Kajian utama materi pembinaan yang memiliki tingkat pemahaman paling rendah adalah membuatan kisi soal dengan tingkatan kognitif C4, C5 dan C6. Dengan demikian, kegiatan bimbingan teknis dikatagorikan baik dengan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta secara menyeluruh baik secara teori maupun praktik kerja.Kata Kunci: HOTs; kompetensi pedagogik; pengembangan soal; penilaian.Increasing Pedagogic Competence through Question Forming Activities based on High Order Thingking Skills and Their Analysis for Lecturers of the State Polytechnic of Tanjung Karang ABSTRACTMaking good and correct from a questions becomes the main consideration in supporting the pedagogical professional competence of a lecturer. The making of questions is part of the assessment which aims to measure the minimum competency of the achievements obtained by students after accomplishing the learning. The application of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTs) assessments forms the basis of an assessment with the ability in the cognitive domain to analyze, synthesize and evaluate. The purpose of this activity was to provide guidance to lecturers through technical guidance is to improve the professional competence of Tanjung Karang State Polytechnic Lecturers regarding conventional and authentic assessment forms based on High Order Thingking Skills. The technical guidance method used in this activity are applying contextual strategies, namely linking theory with practice delivered with guided practice methods, namely teaching systems oriented to solving problems faced by lecturers of Medical Laboratory Technology Study Program, Applied Bachelor Program as many as 20 people. The bimtek activity provided insight and increased understanding of lecturers regarding the compilation of the grid and analysis of HOTs questions.The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in the understanding of positive-valued participants that had increased with an average N-gain score of 79 (high category). The main study of coaching material that has the lowest level of understanding is to make a grid of questions with cognitive levels C4, C5 and C6. Therefore, the technical guidance activities are categorized as good by successfully increasing participants' overall understanding both in theory and work practice.Keywords: HOTs; pedagogical competence; problem development; assessment.
