Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) karakteristik, (2) kriteria kelayakan, dan (3) keefektifan media komik model PBL pada pembelajaran IPA di SMP kelas VII dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir analitis dan sikap ilmiah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang mengadaptasi model Borg & Gall yang terdiri dari lima tahap. Subjek coba pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Sentolo. Pengujian lapangan menggunakan kuasi eksperimen nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran IPA berbentuk komik: (1) memiliki karakteristik: alur cerita sesuai sintaks PBL, judul komik merupakan integrasi dari KD 4.3, KD 7.3, dan KD 7.4, cerita dalam komik memuat indicator berfikir analitis, tokoh dalam komik diperankan melalui sikap ingi tahu dan berfikir terbuka, (2) layak digunakan dengan kriteria sangat baik dan (3) efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir analitis dan sikap ilmiah siswa.Kata Kunci: media komik, kemampuan berfikir analitis, dan sikap ilmiah Developing Science Comic Media Using the Problem-Based Learning Model to Increase the Analytical Thinking Ability and Scientific Attitude  AbstractThis research aims to knows: (1) the characteristic, (2) feasibility, and (3) effectiveness of natural science teaching media in the form of comic using problem-based learning model to increase the analytical thinking ability and scientific attitude of grade VII students of junior high school. This study was research and development adapting the model from Borg & Gall consisting of five steps. The research subjects were grade VII students of SMP N 1 Sentolo. The main try out used quasi-experimental with the nonequivalent control group design. The results of this research show that (1) the characteristic of comic media are: has a stories according the syntax of Problem Based Learning model, integrated title of KD 4.3, KD 7.3, and KD 7.4, the stories in comics load indicator analytical thinking ability, and the characters in the comics through scientific attitude of curiosity and open minded thinking, (2) the developed science teaching media in the form of comic is in a very good quality category, and (3) it is feasable to use to increase the students’ analytical thinking ability and scientific attitude. Penelitian   ini   bertujuan   untuk   mengetahui   ada   tidaknya   pengaruh   model pembelajaran Problem Posing terhadap kemampuan berpikir analisis sisw a kelas XI pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kew arganegaraan (PKn) di SMKN 6 Mataram. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment dengan nonequivalent  control  group  design.  Instrumen  yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini adalah  instrumen  tes bentuk  pilihan ganda  sebanyak  25 item  untuk  mengukur kemampuan berpikir analisis sisw a. Berdasarrkan hasil analisis data menggunakan uji t diperoleh nilai thitung = 2,256 > ttabel = 1,683, dengan dk = n1 + n2 – 2= 39 pada  taraf  signifikan  5%, artinya  terdapat  perbedaan  yang  signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir analisis sisw a kelas eksperiemen dan kelas kontrol pada mata pelajaran  PKn.  Kemudian  hasil dari analisis menggunakan uji N-Gain diperoleh nilai N-Gain  sisw a kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,604 dengan kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol  sebesar  0,492  dengan kategori  sedang.  Meskipun  kategori  kedua kelas tersebut  adalah sedang  namun nilai  N-Gain  kelas eksperimen  lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahw a ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Posing terhadap kemampuan berpikir analisis sisw a kelas XI pada mata pelajaran PKn di SMKN 6 Mataram.  AbstractThis research aims to find out the influence of Problem Posing learning model on students’  analytical  thinking  ability  in  Civic  education  at  the  second  grade  of SMKN 6 Mataram. The type of research is Quasi Experiment by using Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research instrument used w as multiple choice test w hich consisted of 25 items to measure students' analytical thinking ability. Based on the data analysis by using t-test, it resulted that t-ratio = 2.256 > t-table = 1.683 w ith dk  = n1+n2–2=39  on 5% significant  level, w hich means there is a significant difference  betw een  students’  analytical  thinking  ability  on  Civic  education  at experimental  class  and  control  class.  Then,  the  result  w as  tested  by  N-Gain analysis. It show ed that the N-gain value of Experimental class is 0.604 as medium category  w hile  Control  class  is  0.492  as  medium  category.  Although both categories  w ere same,  the N-Gain value of Experimental class w as higher than Control  class.  Regarding  to  the  result,  it  can  be  concluded  that  there  is  an influence of Problem Posing learning model on students’ analytical thinking ability in Civic education at the second grade of SMKN 6 Mataram.Key words: Problem Posing Learning Model, Analytical Thinking Ability

<p><strong>Abstract: </strong>The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of challenge based learning model on students creative thinking ability. This research is used a quasy-experimental design of the type <em>nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design</em>. The sample of this research consisted of students of Chemistry Education, Khairun University in the sixth semester, enrolling in the subject of Environmental Chemistry during education year in 2018/2019 from two classes. The experimental class was taught with challenge based learning model and the control class was taught with problem based learning model. The instrument of the research was a creative thinking ability tests with the type of open essay questions that had validity of 77.08% and Alpha Cronbach reliability coefficient of 0.896. The results showed that there was no statistically significant difference in creative thinking ability between the students from the two research classes (ɑ = 0.05), although descriptively the creative thinking ability of the experimental class was better than the control class.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model <em>challenge based learning</em> terhadap kemamampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian eksperimental semu tipe <em>nonequivalent</em><em> pretest-posttest control group design</em>. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia, Universitas Khairun angkatan 2016 yang menempuh matakuliah Kimia Lingkungan pada tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dari dua kelas. Kelas eksperimen dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran <em>challenge based learnin</em>g dan kelas kontrol dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran <em>problem based learning</em>. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dengan jenis soal esai terbuka yang memiliki validitas isi 77,08% dan koefisien reliabilitas <em>Alpha Cronbach</em> 0,893. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa dari kedua kelas penelitian (ɑ = 0.05), walaupun secara deskriptif kemampuan berpikir kreatif kelas eksperimen lebih bagus daripada kelas kontrol.

This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model on student’s mathematical logical thinking abilities and the amount of it. To achieve the goals, this research used post-test only control group design. This research was held in class XI-IPA of SMAN 1 Sekotong and consist of 60 students which divided into two classes. By considering the post-test only control group design which requires a control group and the experimental group, used saturated sampling technique that took the whole population as the sample. The members of the population were all students of class XI-IPA of SMAN 1 Sekotong which divided into two classes XI-IPA 1 and XI-IPA 2. The instruments were used to measure the student’s logical thinking ability consist of four description. The measurement of the logical thinking ability was measured after the implementation of problem-based learning for four times. The level of compliance to the learning model was measured by observation of student and teacher activity sheets. The results of data analysis using t-test showed that problem-based learning have a significant influence on the mathematical logical thinking ability. Those results were showed by the increasing of mathematical logical thinking ability in each meeting. The analysis using the effect-size gave the result of the d value of 1,60 which means the application of problem-based learning have a high influence to the student’s mathematical logical thinking ability.

ABSTRAKSI: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pengaruh interaktif antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap prestasi belajar Fisika. Penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa Kelas X MIPA SMAN (Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri) 1 Kubutambahan di Bali, Indonesia, yang terdiri dari empat kelas atau 130 orang. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis kovarian dua jalur. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa prestasi belajar siswa diakibatkan oleh perbedaan model pembelajaran. Prestasi belajar yang lebih tinggi diraih oleh siswa yang menerima perlakuan model PBL (Problem Based Learning atau Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah). Perbedaan prestasi belajar siswa juga diakibatkan oleh perbedaan motivasi berprestasi. Prestasi belajar yang lebih tinggi diraih oleh siswa yang memiliki MBT (Motivasi Berprestasi Tinggi). Akhirnya, ada pengaruh interaktif antara model pembelajaran dan motivasi berprestrasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. KATA KUNCI: Model Pembelajaran; Prestasi Belajar; Motivasi; Matapelajaran Fisika. ABSTRACT: “Effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning Model and Student Achievement Motivation in Gaining the Physics Learning Achievements”. The research describes the interactive influence between model of learning and achievement motivation toward Physics learning achievement. The research used a quasi experimental study with pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study were the students of Class X Mathematics and Sciences at the Public Senior High School 1 Kubutambahan in Bali, Indonesia, consisted of four classes or 130 people. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and two-ways analysis of covariance. The results of this study reveal that the student achievement is due to the differences in learning models. Higher learning achievement was achieved by students who received treatment of PBL (Problem Based Learning) model. The differences in student achievement are due to also the differences in achievement motivation. Higher achievement of learning achieved by students who have high achievement motivation. [Title: The Effect of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving Learning Model Toward Student Physics Science Learning Outcomes]. This research aims to know the effectiveness of the learning problem based learning model assisted work sheet for the critical thinking ability of physics students of grade X SMAN 1 Lingsar inacademics year 2016/2017. This was an experiments research that using design research Posttest-Only Control group Design. The population in this research were the whole grade X SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar in academics year 2016/2017. Sampling taken with using cluster random sampling technique with the students of class X. MIA. A as experiments class and grade X. MIA. D as controls class. Research hypothesis was analysis with the t-test for one party (the party right). Based on the hypothesis test results obtained tcount> ttable at significance level of 5%, then it can be inferred that the model of learning problem based learning assisted work sheet effective for critical thinking ability of physics students SMAN 1 Lingsar.

The aim of this study was determine the differences of the ability of mathematical creative thinking and the differences in the increase between classes using Problem Based Learning (control class) and the class that uses a model of Problem Based Learning with tangram. The research method used is quasi experimental design of non-equivalent pre-test-post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII junior high school in Kuningan in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018.� Through purposive sampling technique, 2 classes of 10 classes were selected as samples where the class VIIA as the control class and VIIB as experimental class with a total sample of 70 students. Data collection techniques were obtained through mathematical creative thinking ability test and data analysis technique included normality test, homogeneity test, and t test. The results showed that there were difference in mathematical creative thinking ability and there were difference in the increase between the classes using Problem Based Learning and the classes using a model of Problem Based Learning with tangram.

Banyak upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir analitis siswa di sekolah, salah satunya dengan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Hal ini sejalan dengan pendapat menurut Perez dan Uline (Schechter, 2011) bahwa PBL telah banyak dipahami sebagai manfaat bagi mempersiapkan para pemimpin sekolah dengan berkontribusi terhadap kemampuan berfikir analitis dan strategis mereka. Selain itu, John Dewey (Miller, 2004) yang merupakan seorang filsuf dan pendidik, menjelaskan bahwa "masalah adalah stimulus untuk berfikir”. Kedua pendapat tersebut menguatkan bahwa PBL berkontribusi baik bagi para guru maupun siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir analitis dan strategi dalam pembelajaran. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen, dan bentuk kuasi eksperimen yang dipilih adalah Nonequivqlenty Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t untuk melihat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berfikir analitis antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Kelas XI AP 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas XI AP 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil kajian menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berfikir analitis yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model Guide Discovery Learning. Namun, perolehan rata-rata skor kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Artinya, sekolah dapat menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir analitis siswa.Kata Kunci: problem based learning, guide discovery learning, berfikir analitis. IMPROVED ABILITY TO ANALYTICAL THINKING WITH  A PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODELMany efforts should be made to improve analytical thinking ability of students in the school, one of them with a Model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Second opinions reinforces that PBL contribute both for teachers and students to improve think analytically and strategies in learning. this study using a quasi-experimental, and form a quasi-experimental chosen is Nonequivqlenty Control Group Design. the data collection technique using tests, observation and documentation, while data analysis techniques using t-test to see differences increase the ability to think analytically between the experimental class and control class. this research subject is class XI AP 4 as an experimental class and class XI AP 2 as a control group. the results of the study showed that an increase in the ability to think analytically significant among experimental class using the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with grade control using a model of Discovery Learning Guide. However, the acquisition of the average score of the experimental class is higher than the control class. That is, schools can apply the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) to improve students' ability to think analytically.Keywords: problem based learning, guide discovery learning, analytical thinking

Mathematical communication skills of students are still relatively low. One learning model can improve students 'mathematical communication skills and at the same time students' mathematical disposition is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim to be achieved is to find out the improvement of students 'mathematical communication skills and mathematical disposition using PBL models in terms of students' initial mathematical level. This research is an experimental research design with pretest posttest control group design. The research population was Grade VII students of SMP 9 Langsa. Students are grouped into two classes namely the experimental class and the control class randomly selected from eight parallel classes. The instrument used was a test of mathematical communication skills and a mathematical disposition questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA. The results showed that improving students 'mathematical communication ability and students' mathematical disposition by applying PBL learning models is better than students applying conventional learning models. There is no interaction between the PBL learning model with student level on mathematical communication skills and students' mathematical disposition. Abstrak Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu model pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan sekaligus disposisi matematis siswa adalah model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai ialah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis menggunakan model PBL ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain pretest postest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Langsa. Siswa dikelompokkan menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara acak dari delapan kelas paralel. Instrumen yang digunakan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket disposisi matematis. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan anova dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan disposisi matematis siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran PBL lebih baik dari pada siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran PBL dengan level siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan disposisi matematis siswa. Abstract-this study aims to know, analyze and evaluate the differences of students’ critical thinking skills by using problem based learning model and conventional models. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with quantitative approach using Nonequivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control-Group Design. The data collection technique used in this study is using the test. The data analysis technique is done by independent t-test sample. Moreover, this research shows the significant differences if seen from the average of percentage of  experiment class; pretest is less while posttest is so gratified. The result of pretest control class is less and posttest is enough The results of this research give the recommendation for teachers and next researchers to apply problem based learning model to enhance critical thinking ability of students. In addition, problem based learning model is also expected to encourage students to be able to solve problems encountered in everyday life, especially in social studies.Keywords: Problem based learning, conventional learning model and critical thinking.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan efektivitas pembelajaran IPA berbasis empat pilar pendidikan yaitu learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengentahuan Alam tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Desain penelitian quasi-experiment bentuk Nonequivalent control-group design, dengan mengambil pretes sebelum diberi perlakuan kemudian dilakukan postes. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (p-value) dengan ANCOVA adalah 0,026. Karena nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara peserta didik yang menggunakan pembelajaran IPA berbasis empat pilar pendidikan dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan pembelajaran secara konvensional. Data hasil analisis efektivitas didapatkan nilai probabilitas (Sig.) 0,000< 0,05 artinya pembelajaran IPA berbasis empat pilar pendidikan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. The Effect of Four Pillars Education in Science Learning to the Critical Thinking Ability Abstract  The purpose of the research to determine the effect and effectiveness of the four pillars of education in science learning (learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be) to the critical thinking ability. This research was conducted in the eighth grade junior high school in the subject of Natural Science of the academic year 2017/2018.  By using a quasi-experimental research design in the Nonequivalent control-group design form, by taking pretest before being treated then post tes. Based on the research data the significance value (p-value) with ANCOVA is 0.026. Because the significance value is less than 0.05, there is a significant influence between students who use science learning based on the four pillars of education with students who use conventional learning. The results of the effectiveness data analysis obtained the probability value (Sig.) 0,000 <0,05 which means that science learning based on four pillars of education is effective in improving student’s critical thinking skills.
