This paper highlights the importance to provide appropriate education model with multidisciplinary approach for supporting the capacity development in disaster mitigation. This education model is implemented as a student community service program, in order to accommodate the needs for improving the students’ knowledge and skill, as well as for stimulating the development of ethical values with respect to humanity and sustainable development concerns. This education model has been conducting as a part of the formal curricula at Gadjah Mada University, and it is accordingly introduced and reviewed in this paper with the specific emphasize to discuss its objective, mechanism, benefits, and social impacts, as well as the respective challenges. Finally, this research-based education model is proposed as one model for the disaster mitigation education, which can be applied not only for Indonesian but may also for ASEAN education model. Kota Pangkalpinang memiliki topografi relatif rendah dan berbatasan dengan laut di bagian timur. Pendangkalan aliran sungai, serta alih fungsi lahan menyebabkan bencana banjir pada musim hujan. Berdasarkan permasalahan dibutuhkan peningkatan penguasaan teknologi pemetaan bagi aparatur kecamatan dan kelurahan, pembuatan peta banjir, dan mensosialisasikannya kepada kalangan pelajar. Program dimulai dengan survey pengumpulan data koordinat banjir, diskusi kelompok terarah dan pelatihan pembuatan peta, dan sosialisasi hasil. Hasil program pengabdian telah meningkatkan kapasitas para aparatur kecamatan dan kelurahan dalam penguasaan teknologi pemetaan. Pada peta banjir dan genangan air Kota Pangkalpinang menunjukkan pola sebaran banjir terdapat pada morfologi dataran rendah disepanjang aliran Sungai Rangkui. Pelajar dan mahasiswa peserta sosialisasi mitigasi bencana banjir mampu memahami materi secara optimal. Keseluruhan hasil program pengabdian secara signifikan memberikan sumbangsih dalam implemetasi teknologi pemetaan untuk mitigasi bencana banjir. Kata Kunci:  Banjir, Mitigasi, Pemetaan, Pelatihan, Sosialisasi ABSTRACT Pangkalpinang City has a relatively low topography and bordered by the sea in the east. the stream siltation and land-use change cause floods during the rainy season. Based on the problem, it is needed to improve the mastery of mapping technology for district and village apparatus, making flood maps, and disseminating them to students. The program starts with collecting flood coordinate data, focus group discussions and map-making training, and socialization the result. the program has increased the capacity of the district and village apparatus in the mastery of mapping technology. On the map of floods and puddles of Pangkalpinang City shows the flood pattern distribution found in the lowland morphology along the Rangkui River. Students and scholars participating in the flood disaster mitigation socialization understood the material optimally. The overall results of the community service program significantly contributed to the implementation of mapping technology in flood mitigation. The community service program is a form of the tri dharma of higher education that can be carried out through Student Community Service activities. One of the villages that is the location for the implementation of the STIBA Makassar KKN is Kalabbirang Village, which is located in Bantimurung District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. This article aims to provide a description of the community service process carried out by STIBA Makassar students in Kalabbirang Village. The program activities carried out are 1) Friday blessing; 2) Muslim fiqh taklim; 3) TPA development; 4) Dirose program; 5) Tahsin program; 6) Tarbiyah Islamiyah; 7) Halaqoh luhgawiyah; 8) youth taklim; 9) youth taklim; 10) Natural Tadabbur; 11) Handicraft training; 12) Training on organizing the body; 13) Festival of pious children. The results of the community service program contributed greatly to the formation of the Q'uranic community for the people in Kalabbirang Village.

Community service activities at Wukirsari village was preceded by many concerns land damaged by the eruption of Merapi 2010. Researchers encourage Wukirsari people to self-sufficient in the provision of liquid organic fertilizer and manure plus. It is intended to restore the soil nutrient that improves soil structure. The target of this activity were increasing the agricultural productivity, cost efficiency of production, improvement of agricultural cultivation, encouraging self-sufficiency of liquid organic fertilizer and manure plus and the establishment of agricultural enterprises. The conclusion of these program are the liquid organic fertilizer producted by Wukirsari farmer response positively to the growth and productivity of rice plants. The barriers of this program was delayed of the establishment of business entities will be overcome with the implementation of the third period (2015) of the community service program which cooperate with the Student Community Service Program (KKN PPM UGM).

ABSTRACT Wau-Weyaf Beach is the nesting ground of six species of turtles, including the world's largest turtle, the leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea). The University of Papua (UNIPA) Manokwari, since 2009 has been directly involved in the turtle nesting area protection program by involving the students of UNIPA through the Community Service Program (KKN). In 2016, students carried out the KKN Program starting from June 30th to August 16th in Kampung Wau-Weyaf, one of the leatherback turtles’ egg-laying locations in Abun. This paper is a part of the Community Service Program which is carried out in the said village. The activities conducted during the KKN include both formal and non-formal education, religious education, and environmental education. Education-based KKN directly helps to improve public awareness which, in turn, supports the efforts to protect and save the leatherback turtles (Dermochelys coriacea) on the coast of Abun, Tambrau. The same approach is also able to improve the calistung (the capability to read, write, and count) ability of school children along with their awareness to maintain the cleanliness of their homes, school, and village environment. Universitas Papua (UNIPA) Manokwari, sejak tahun 2009 telah terlibat secara langsung dalam program perlindungan kawasan peneluran penyu ini melalui pelibatan mahasiswa melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN). Pada tahun 2016,  mahasiswa Universitas Papua (UNIPA) melaksanakan program KKN yang dilaksanakan antara tanggal 30 Juni sampai dengan 16 Agustus 2016 di Kampung Wau-Weyaf. Tulisan ini merupakan bagian dari pelaksanaan kegiatan KKN yang dilaksanakan di kampung Wau-Weyaf sebagai salah satu lokasi peneluran telur penyu belimbing di Abun.  Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi pendidikan formal dan non-formal, pendidikan agama, dan pendidikan lingkungan. KKN berbasis pendidikan yang dilakukan secara langsung membantu meningkatkan penyadar tahuan masyarakat yang menunjang usaha perlindungan dan penyelamatan penyu belimbing (Dermochelys coriacea) di pesisir Abun, Tambrau. Pendekatan yang sama juga mampu meningkatkan kemampuan calistung anak-anak sekolah dan kesadaran menjaga kebersihan lingkungan rumah, sekolah dan kampung. The development of Kampung Biru Arema (KBA) to become an educational tourist destination in urban areas is a necessity to support an increase in the community's economy. Development carried out independently has not shown optimal results so that it requires the intervention of various parties to support in realizing the aspirations of the community. The academic community of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences as part of its academic responsibilities takes part in developing the village in the form of community assistance. This community service program is intended to provide assistance to the KBA community to become an integrated educational tourist destination. After conducting a series of preliminary activities, an agreement was reached to develop five (5) tourist points to be further developed as the main sites for KBA tourism activities. The five points were named Tourism Areas: History, Dolanan, Disaster Mitigation, Arema, and Basa Walikan. The stakeholders involved in this program have shown seriousness in the effort to realize the ideal picture of the direction and form of the KBA and committed to carry out development as planned together in the next phase. For this reason, the community service team embodies the shared understanding in a tangible form in the form of visual designs, physical structure in the form of miniature areas developed in tourist areas. In addition, the team also constructed an area at the KBA tourist location as a model for the realization of the visual design.

The community service activities carried out are Community Economic Empowerment of MSME Entrepreneurs in Limbungan Village, Rumbai Pesisir District, Pekanbaru City. This activity integrated with the implementation of the Student Community Service Program of 2020. The role of the community service team is business management training (financial management, taxation), strategy of business development, and accompaniment for the 19 MSME entrepreneurs in this area that participated. The aims of this community service activity are to improve understanding and implementation of MSME management in a professional, efficient, and effective way, with the result that can manifest independence and well-being of the community to optimize the existing potential. It is also expected that this training will provide an added value for the community development of MSME entrepreneurs’s business. This training can change community behavior into more creative and improve community income in this area. The training methods are a combination between lectures and accompaniment, where participants will obtain material manual books about finance and taxation of MSME. It can be seen that the participants have more understanding about bookkeeping and finance of MSME, taxation, and online marketing after participating in the integrated community service and student community service program of LPPM UNRI.

AbstractIAIN Curup, as an Islamic higher education institution, demands the students to master al-Qur'an. One of the steps towards the mastery of the Qur’an is through the activities of tahsin (reciting) al-Qur'an implemented by Ma'had al-Jamiah (college dormitory) of IAIN Curup. Therefore, this study aimed to see the role of Ma'had al-Jamiah of IAIN Curup in overcoming the students' low mastery of al-Qur'an, by paying attention to the results of Ma'had al-Jamiah programs consisting of the practicum of tahsin al-Qur'an and students’ worship practicum. These activities already ran for three semesters. However, it was still found the students who could not read al-Qur'an well and could not perform the prayers properly. This study employed a qualitative approach. The data were obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation, which were then analyzed by using a qualitative approach. Thus,  the following conclusion was drawn: First, the Ma'had Al-Jami'ah programs were quite representative in improving students’ mastery of al-Qur’an; Second, ma'had activities applied a semi-Islamic boarding school education model in a classical form; Third, Ma'had al-Jamiah’s policies concerning the subjects of Tahsin Al-Qur’an, Worship Practicum I, and Worship Practicum II as the requirements to take part in KPM (Community Service Program), PPL (pre-service teaching program), Internship, comprehensive exams, and Munaqasyah (thesis exams) really stimulated students to master reciting al-Qur'an.AbstrakIAIN Curup sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi Islam, dituntut agar mahasiswanya mengusai al- Qur’an. Salah satu langkah menuju kemampuan penguasaaan al-Qur’an tersebut adalah melalui kegiatan tahsin al-Qur’an sebagai mana yang di laksanakan oleh Ma’had al-Jamiah IAIN Curup. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini berusaha melihat peran ma’had al-Jamiah IAIN Curup dalam mengatasi rendahnya penguasaan al-Qur’an mahasiswa IAIN Curup, dengan memperhatikan hasil kegiatan Ma’had yang mencakup praktikum tahsin al-Qur’an dan praktikum  ibadah kemahasiswaan. Kegiatan tersebut sudah berjalan selama tiga semester. Namun masih ditemukan mahasiswa belum bisa membaca al-Qur’an dengan baik dan belum bisa melaksanakan ibadah shalat dengan baik. Penelitian ini menggukanakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari hari hasil wawancara, pengamatan dan dokumentasi, selanjutnya dianalisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif sehingga diperoleh simpulan: Pertama Program Ma’had Al-Jami’ah cukup representatif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa di bidang al-Qur’an; Kedua kegiatan ma’had menawarkan menerapkan model pendidikan semi pondok pesantren dalam bentuk klasikal; Ketiga Ma’had al- Jamiah IAIN Curup menjadikan ketiga materi (Tahsin al-Qur’an, Praktek Ibadah I dan II sebagai syarat untuk bisa mengikuti KPM, PPL, Magang, Komprehensif dan sidang Munaqasyah) sangat memacu mahasiswa dalam penguasaan bacaan al-Qur’an.

This activity aims to help publicize the potential of the Koto Hilalang Nagari as one of the Cultural Tourism Village areas in Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province. The method of activity carried out is to make a design application for internet-based tourism promotion. This designed application can be inputted all the time by the Nagari community itself, especially by officers in the village office or the Nagari guardian's office. The results of the Andalas University Student Community Service program as agents of change in society during the 2019 Community Service Program in the village of Koto Hilalang are the availability of a website to promote and publicize the beauty of Nagari Koto Hilalang as a cultural tourism destination in the Solok Regency. The website can contain various kinds of Koto Hilalang's Nagari artistic potential to be promoted to a broader audience. This promotion is expected to invite more tourists to visit Nagari Koto Hilalang, Kubung District, Solok Regency.

The potential for nature tourism in Suak Gual Village as a tourist destination in Belitung Regency has not been well managed. This study aims to examine the tourism potential in Suak Gual Village to increase development in disadvantaged areas. Specifically, this study aims to (1) examine the factors inhibiting tourism development in Suak Gual Village, (2) developing the Student Community Service Program for Tourism Development in Suak Gual Village, and (3) evaluating the Student Community Service Program results in Suak Gual Village. This research is action research using qualitative methods. The data collected includes primary and secondary data. Data analysis was using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results showed that the inhibiting factors for the development of Suak Gual Village were low education, accessibility, and infrastructure. The intervention program is classified into three dimensions: (1) the science-technology dimension, (2) the infrastructure dimension, and (3) the agro-marine dimension. The Student Community Service Program has resulted in tourism promotion, the creation of tourism marketing media, assistance for Tourism Awareness Groups, homestay improvements, and registration of homestay bookings on the Traveloka application.
