This research is a quantitative descriptive study that will describe: (1) the conditions of learning Japanese online through WhatsApp Group (WAG) at SMK Kesehatan Sadewa Yogyakarta, and (2) the students' perceptions about the use of kosanoge. The Japanese language course was introduced at this school in 2020. As the Covid-19 pandemic since March 2020 has disrupted the educational activities at schools, the teaching and learning at SMK Kesehatan Sadewa, including Japanese, must be carried out online. WhatsApp Group (WAG) was chosen as a medium for interactive and useful online learning. In practice, students are introduced to the kosanoge vocabulary game which aims to increase the student’s enthusiasm for learning. The data were taken from the results of observations of class activities and online surveys. The random sample shows that the students were happy with the implementation of the kosanoge, but some students had difficulties because they had not memorized hiragana. A further research needs to be conducted to determine the effect of teacher classroom actions taken to increase student interaction in a class by using kosanoge games.

The Covid-19 pandemic, which has swept the world for almost two, years has changed the implementation of education in Indonesia. Learning that was previously always done face-to-face has now been shifted to distance learning, which in its performance is a challenge, especially for mathematics teachers. So far, the problems faced by teachers are difficulties in making students more enthusiastic in learning during the online learning period and challenges in developing students' thinking skills. A learning model is needed that can train students so that during online learning, students can still practice improving their 4C thinking skills. This research is a descriptive study in the form of a literature review conducted by reviewing several literatures. Based on the literature review, it can be seen that one approach that can be used is a project-based Quantum Teaching and Learning (QTL) approach which can be presented in web form so that students are more motivated during the online learning period. Based on theoretical studies from several articles, it is known that learning QTL can increase students' learning motivation because QTL is taught according to students' thinking. Giving projects that are in accordance with students' interests can be added to QTL learning to train students to improve 4C thinking skills.

The spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus occurs in all countries. This pandemic incident has been taken seriously by various sectors including in the world of education. This research is a quantitative descriptive study to explain the Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) profile of Indonesian students in online learning which is carried out in COVID-19 emergencies. The research commenced three days after the establishment of the WHO COVID-19 pandemic. The respondents were taken by accident sampling at several schools implementing online learning after the designation of this mode by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture on March 15, 2020. The schools comprised general high schools and vocational schools. The data were collected via Google Form filled out by 10th to 12th-grade students. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a scale of 1 to 5 (from absolutely disagree to absolutely agree) consisting of planning, monitoring, controlling, and reflecting aspects. There were two analytical techniques used i.e., descriptive statistics and ANOVA. The results of this study indicate that students in Indonesia still need assistance and mentoring from teachers to improve SRL. Several mentoring strategies can be applied to manage active learning. The teachers should explicitly include the process of mentoring, strengthening the students’ SRL. Teachers need to be aware that online learning is not only to master certain subject matters but also to strengthen SRL.

Indonesia is one of the positive countries for the corona virus (Covid-19). Experts cite several reasons for the increasing number of cases, one of which is the attitude of the public who careless about minimizing contact between people, the lack of sanctions for violations of self-quarantine, and the lack of location information that the community must avoid. The attitude of caring society, especially education actors, is certainly one of the important things that needs attention. Environmental care and responsibility are character values that need to be developed. Students can get character education through the learning process and learning resources, one of which is textbooks. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an integration of character values and what is the percentage of integration of character values in high school chemistry textbooks that have been used by teachers in learning, especially the character of environmental care and responsibility.
