The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge to athletes and volleyball coaches about the psychological aspects that volleyball athletes must have and for coaches to be able to train these aspects in training. The community service method is carried out with a participatory educational approach through material presentation and discussion using a website seminar (webinar) using the zoom application. The material given is about the concept of psychological aspects that volleyball athletes must have and how the coach trains them. The indicator of achievement is an increase in the score of knowledge (cognitive) obtained by volleyball athletes. The instrument used was a test item test. The target of this service is non-productive people, namely 3 coaches and 6 athletes in Bantul Regency. The service was carried out on February 4, 2020. Descriptive data analysis, statistical test using the mean difference test. The results of the dedication showed that there was an increase in the mean mean of pre-test 72.22 to 82.22 post-test, an increase of 10%. Athletes' knowledge of this psychological aspect is very important to provide insight to the psychological aspects that they must master, and for the coach to be able to design exercises to develop psychological aspects for the athlete

The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the Snowball Throwing method to improve student learning achievement on scale and comparison material grade VI of SD Negeri 11 Mataram. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles which in one cycle were divided into two meetings. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and tests. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive data analysis. The results of this study indicate that snowball throwing learning can improve student achievement. This improvement in learning achievement can be seen from the increase in student scores starting from the pre-action initial test with the student completeness action 36.36% and after learning Snowball throwing the student completeness reaches 70.45% for the first cycle post test and 77.27% for the post test cycle II. So it can be concluded that student achievement on scale and comparison material in class VI SD Negeri 11 Mataram can be improved by implementing Snowball throwing learning.

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of developing students’ essay writing about tourism topics through word clustering technique. The subjects under study were students sitting on semester 6 at Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Bali Internasional (International Bali Institute of Tourism). This classroom action research (CAR) was basically triggered by the fact that the subjects under study have still low capability in English essay writing about Tourism Topics. This study made use of pre-test or initial reflection (IR) and post-test research design using descriptive analysis. There were two cycles in this CAR and each cycle consists of four successive sessions. The IR was intended to establish the real pre-existing English essay writing capability of the subject under study. The Mean of the Pre-test or IR score obtained by the subjects under study was 3.63. The Mean of the Post-test or R scores both in Cycle I and in Cycle II showed an increasing figure which is 4.12 in S1, 5.06 in S2, 5.78 in S3, 6.34 in S4, 6.76 in S5, 7.14 in S6, 7.44 in S7 and 7.82 in S8. These figures showed that the Mean of the Post-test or R scores in each session was much higher than the Mean of Pre-test or IR in essay writing. The data analysis further led to the computation of the Grand Mean score for both Cycles I and Cycle II. The computation of the Grand Mean resulted in Cycle I (XI) was 5.32. The computation of the Grand Mean resulted in Cycle II was 7.29. The difference Mean of Cycle I and cycle II is 1.97 (XII – XI = 7.29 – 5.32 = 1.97). These research findings revealed that developing students’ essay writing about the tourism topics through word clustering technique was very effective.

This article is a report of experimental conducted at the second year students of SMA Kanjeng Sepuh Sidayu Gresik. This study was conducted to measure the effect of summarizing technique on reading achievement. The instrument used for collecting data was test.  The data analysis showed that mean of pretest was 37,94 in experimental group and 33,68 in control group. The result of t-test of pre-test was 2,444 and t-critical was 1,684 in level of significant .05. And the mean of post-test was 74,52 in experimental group and 68,39 in control group. The difference between the two mean score is 6.13. The mean of the control group is lower than the experimental one. In which the highest score was 52 and the lowest score was 20 in control group and experimental group. From the data analysis, the writer got findings. The mean score of experimental group was 74.52 and the mean score of control group was 68.39. after applying the ANCOVA formula, it indicates that F-value was 4.117 and the critical value with the level of significance .05 was 4.00. The finding shows that students’ achievement of reading in posttest (after treatment) of experimental group was higher than control group. It was found out that summarizing technique was effective in reading achievement.

The main objective of this study is to identify the magnitude of issues relating to customs duty evasion in Nepal. Judgmental sampling technique has been applied with the total of 819 respondents: 421 from business communities and 398 from government officials. Descriptive statistics and compare mean test has been used for the data analysis. From the ranking analysis, it is concluded that respondents are more serious on the issue of ‘difficulties in managing open border’, ‘ambiguous customs policy’ and ‘poor infrastructure and inconvenient location’ which were ranked first, second and third respectively. However, the respondents become less serious in the issue of ‘poor technology adoption’ which is ranked last (seventh). The mean scores on each issue were above three and it indicates that the respondents agree on seriousness of the customs duty evasion. However, the mean difference test across business communities and government officials on each issue were found to be significantly different as the mean scores for business communities were higher. Identification of the seriousness on the issues of customs duty evasion in this study could be advantageous for the revenue planner to make newer customs policy. AbstractThe method used in this research was action research applied in two cycles. This research was conducted to improve the Seventh Graders’ English vocabulary in SMP 1 PSKD, Jakarta. The 24 students of the seventh grade who participated in this study were taught vocabularies by using the TGT technique. The quantitative data, collected using tests, were analyzed by using the independent and paired sample t-test on SPSS version 22 program. The qualitative data, collected using the researchers’ diary notes, questionaire, open ended question sheets, and observation sheets, were analyzed descriptively. The results indicated that the TGT technique improved the participants’ English vocabulary, as shown by the increase of the mean scores of the tests conducted, i.e. the pre-test 55,94 (12,5%) increased to 66,81 (50%) of post-test of cycle I and to 83,23 (87,5%) of the post-test of cycle II. The statistical test also indicated that the use of TGT significantly increased the students’ English vocabulary. Based on the findings, it could be concluded that the use of TGT technique was effective to improve the seventh grade students’ English vocabulary. The objectives of this research were to find out : whether or not the use of Reading Circles increase students speaking skill.This research employed Pre-experimental method that applied monolingual class. The population of this research was the eleventh grade students in academic year 2015-2016. There were 236 students spread in 8 classes ( XI AK.1, XI AK.2, XI AK.3, XI ADM.1 , XI ADM.2, XI ADM.3, XI TN.1 and XI TN.2) and each class consist appropriately 28-30 students. The researcher took cluster random sampling technique and chose XI ADM.1 as the representative and the number of total sample is 28 students.The data of the research were collected by using two kinds of instruments, namely speaking test. Speaking test (interview) was used to obtain data of the students’ speaking skill.The result of data analysis showed that there was significant difference between the students’ score after they were taught by using Reading Circles and before they were taught by Reading Circles. It was proved by the mean score of the post-test which was higher than the mean score of pre-test (78.50>47.25). Furthermore, the result of the p-value was lower than α (0.000<0.05) which means that H1 was accepted. Based on data analysis, the research concluded that : the use of Reading Circles increase students’ speaking skill at SMK Negeri 1 Pancarijang

Visualization can support an instructional process. Visualization consists of all types of nonverbal illustrations. The very rapidly computer technology enables the development of multimedia learning environment. This research was aimed at describing the effectiveness and attractiveness of the use of dynamic visualization in an instruction on transportation system and excretion in organisms. Sixty four students of grade 8 who consisted of 36 males and 28 females were used as the subjects of the research. The data of the research were collected in the form of pre-test and post-test scores in the students’ understanding of transportation system and excretion in organisms and in the attractiveness of the use of dynamic visualization in the instruction. Statistical test showed that the mean of the comprehension test before the use of dynamic visualization differed significantly from that after the use of dynamic visualization and that dynamic visualization was attractive to be used in the instruction. Hence, it can be concluded that dynamic visualization can enhance students’ understanding.

This study was generally attempted to find the effect of ice breaking to increase students' motivation in English learning at the first grade of SMP Nurul Jadid.  This research used pre-experimental design by using one shot case study pre-test and post-test. Before the treatment, the researcher gave the pre-test in one class. Moreover, the researcher taught English by using ice breaking in the experimental class. The last, the researcher conducted the post-test to know whether an ice breaking was effective for teaching English in experimental class. Based on the data analysis, the data t-test (2.77) was higher than t-table value (2.042). The result analyzing showed that there was significant difference on the students’ motivation taught by using ice breaker. The students’ mean score of the pre-test of the experiment class was 60. Then, in the post-test, the mean score of experiment class was 66.1. Therefore, hypothesis H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It concluded that ice breaking was effective in teaching English learning toward the students’ motivation for the first grade of SMP Nurul Jadid. Thus, this research make students be enjoy, be active, energize, feeling happiness, interactive in the classroom, stay in the class during learning process, and focus on the material.

This reserch is a research and development with the aim of developing Contextual-Based Physics Module on Particle Dynamic to Improve Learning Achievement of Students Grade X of SMA Negeri 5 Jayapura. The total number samples of this research is 32 students of SMA Negeri 5 Jayapura grade X, using one group pre-test post-test design with percentage descriptive data analysis technique to know the feasibility of the module. The research shows that: 1) the development of module with collecting information phase through bibliography research and field research, product design includes draft writing, design validating, and product design  revising, and development phase consists of validating and trial, 2) the feasibility of the module compiled based on material validator resulted on average of 92% with feasible category and students response category of 88% with feasible category, 3) there is progress of achievement of studens grade X with learning using contextual-based physic module in particle dynamic with n-Gain RPP1 0,52, RPP2 0,58, RPP3 0,61, and the average is 0,57 medium category, and 4) the strengths of contextual-based physics module are: simple language used, providing material with contextual illustrations and examples, and equipped with guidance manual that eases the students to do individual learning

<p class="05IsiAbstrak">The purpose of the research was to find out the improvement of student’s reading comprehension on narrative text through directed reading and think pair share at madrasa Aliyah of Manahijul Huda Ngagel in academic years 2019/2020. This research was done by applying Classroom Action Research which carried out through four steps. They were planning, action, observation, and reflection, in cycle 1 and cycle 2. The subject of research was the grade X-MIA, they are consisted of 30 students. Based on the result of the data analysis showed that mean of the score has increased in the cycle 2, the mean in the pre-test was 63,33%, the mean of cycle 1 was 74,33%. Then the mean of cycle 2 was 84,17%. The students who got up 75 also grew up. In the pre-test, students who got up 75 were only 5 of 30 students (16,67%). In the post test of cycle 1, students who got up 75 were only 17 of 30 students (56,67%). It means that there was improvement about 40%. In the post test of cycle 2, students who got up 75 were 24 of 30 students (80%). The improvement was about 23,33%. The total improvement of the student’s score from the pre-test to post test of cycle 2 was 63,33%. So, the result of the research showed that Directed-reading and Think Pair Share (TPS) strategy significantly improved student’s reading comprehension on narrative text.</p>
