This study aimed to describe the function and the meaning of adapun in Indonesia and also the appropriate sentence structure of adapun. This writing uses a qualitative method with descriptive data and extended examples, based on the empirical facts or phenomena that are relevant to the lives of the users, and discussion. Data collection is done by note taking (library research) - gathering research data. Data sources are derived from print media, scientific writing, and textbooks. We conclude that the function of adapun has a close linkage with the above-mentioned conjunction. The meanings of adapun were: (1) adding information and explaining the previous sentence, (2) usher in the parsing, (3) stating something different but in the same domain, and (4) stating further information. Most of the predicates that contain adapun include the word adalah (“there is/are”), so in large measure, the context is regarded as stating a definition. In general, the sentence pattern that contains adapun is a simple sentence with the subject that is generally in the form of long phrases and the pattern is S-P-O-A.

The research aims to describe the functions of humor used in an American comedy movie The Boss. The subject of the research was American comedy movie The Boss. Descriptive qualitative method was used to conduct the research. Data collection was done through library research and documentation. Data analysis was done through identification, coding, classification and description. The researcher found several findings. Supported by Meyers theory of joke, there are 6 functions of jokes found in the movie such as to insult someone, to express anger, to tease someone, to relieve tension, to get attention, and to amuse others. The dominant function was differentiation particularly to insult and to express anger 21 times, the second was clarification particularly to relieve tension humorous lines and amuse others 15 times, the third was enforcement particularly to tease 18 times, and the last was identification particularly to relieve tension and to get attention 27 times. These functions were also analyzed and discriminated by different setting and participant based on formality and participants distance. According to the analysis, most jokes occurred in informal situation with intimate relationship among the participants and functioned to tease someone and to relieve tension. This finding also proves that American humor is expressed with more slapstick and vulgarity as the characteristic of American humor used in daily communication. This study has two purposes, both are: 1) To describe Al-Kindi's thoughts about the harmony between philosophy and religion, and the theory of divine philosophy. 2) To describe Al-Farabi's thoughts about the theory of emanation, and the theory of divinity. This research is using a qualitative method which its study focused on library research. Data sources used in this research are the works related to the two figures as well as other philosophical thought books. The results obtained from this study are; First, according to Al-Kindi, philosophy and religion make no difference because both are equally knowledgeable about truth. The function of philosophy is not to sue the truth of revelation, to demand superiority or to demand equality with revelation. Philosophy does not make a claim as the highest way to reach the truth and want to humble itself as a support for revelation. God theory according to him God is a form that actually does not come from nothing into existence, not preceded by other forms, could not be divided and there are no other substances that equal Him. Secondly, Al-Farabi about the emanations theory explained that God exists for the sake of His self. Through this research, it is expected to provide an understanding of the community about Muslim philosophy and its thoughts.

 This research discusses the formation and use of babigo slang language by taking data sources on video footage of Saitou Kyouko as a babigo speaker on the Saitou Kyouko YouTube channel. The purpose of this study was to determine the formation and function of babigo. The method used in this research is qualitative method. A qualitative method is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of words or speech of people and behaviors that can be observed. The data collection method uses the listening method, which is the method used to obtain data by listening to the use of the language. While the data analysis method uses descriptive methods which are research methods carried out based on the existing facts, so the results are describing the elements of language as it is. Based on the analysis of this research data, the author found 1) Babigo formation that inserts a single vocal syllable in each Japanese language syllable 2) The Function of babigo is used by young people as a secret language and can also be used as language games.

Humans are the perfect creation of Allah SWT. It lies within their mind. Moreover, they also have the brain as a control center for all human activities. This article aims to explain the concepts of al-quran and neuroscience as well as the study of the brain and mind in al-quran and neuroscience. The approach used was qualitative of Creswell model library research. Data sources were obtained from the literature in the fields of the brain and mind, al-quran and neuroscience. Data collection techniques had used Sugiyono model. The data analysis technique had used Moleong analysis model. The results of this study indicated that if humans use their brains and mind to think properly and correctly, they would be able to provide and to create new ideas in solving various problems. After humans are even more aware, they would increase the faith and devotion to Allah.

Purpose: In everyday life, humans when interacting with others often misunderstands and make apologies. Apologies in Japanese and English have different ways of delivering. Like the expression of apology "sumimasen" in Japanese and "Sorry" in English. This study uses a corpus-based approach to check the variation of apology strategies used in Japanese and English and then analyzed. This study aims to analyze and compare apologies in Japanese and English also study their contextual use.     Methodology: The method used in this study is a qualitative method with content analysis techniques consisting of the form of Japanese and English language apologies. Sources of research data are qualitative data sources from examples of Japanese and Bahasa sentences. Main Findings: it can be concluded that the expression of apology in Japanese and English is very diverse. Judging from the origin he said some phrases of apology in Japanese are more likely to be a misconception or misconduct (sumimasen, gomennasai, shitsureishimashita, mooshiwakearimasen, warui). Apologies in Japanese may vary depending on how severe the mistakes have been made and how well a person relates to the person who is the object of the error. Implications/Applications: The findings of this research can help individuals in communication and social interactions. Also, it provides an overview of apology in different settings and social situations.

The objective of this research is to give the understanding about the simple sentence structure Sindang Language ini Lubuklinggau and describe the effect in Indonesian language learning process. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research shows that the simple sentence structure of Bahasa Sindang in Lubuklinggau in the form of verbal-verbed simple sentence which consists of intransitive sentence and single-transitive sentence; adjectival-verbed simple sentence, nominal-verbed simple sentence, numeral-verbed simple sentence, preposisional-verbed simple sentence, and adverbial-verbed simple sentence. Majority of the data finding is the verbal-verbed simple sentence on Sindang language and it is more used by the people who use Sindang language. Intransitive sentence has 62 sentences or 79.5%. Sentence of Sindang Language seen from the aspect of function for the type of intransitive sentence has the function structure: 1) S,P; 2) K,S,P; 3) S,P,Vokatif; 4) S,P,K; 5) P,K; 6) P,S; 7) P; 8) S,P,S, and 9) S,P,Pel. The type of single-transitive sentence has the structure function: 1) K,S,P,O,K; 2) S,P,O,Vokatif; 3) P,O,K; 4) P,O; 5) P,O,K,S; 6) S,P,O; dan 7) P,O,S.  Adjectival-verbed sentence has the structure function of structure K,S,P and P,S. Nominal-verbed simple sentence has the function structure S,P. Numeral-verbed simple sentence has the function structure P,S and S,P. Prepositional Frase-verbed simple sentence has the function structure S,P,Vocative. Then, adverbial-verbed simple sentence has the function structure S,P. The single sentence structure of the Sindang language positively influences the learning of the native speakers of the language. Keywords: simple sentence structure, Sindang language, Lubuklinggau   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman tentang struktur kalimat tunggal bahasa Sindang di Kota Lubuklinggau dan mendeskripsikan pengaruhnya dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kota tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur kalimat tunggal bahasa Sindang di Kota Lubuklinggau berbentuk kalimat tunggal berpredikat verbal  yang terdiri atas kalimat intransitif dan kalimat tungggal ekatransitif; kalimat tunggal berpredikat adjektival, kalimat tunggal berpredikat nominal, kalimat tunggal berpredikat numeral, kalimat tunggal berpredikat preposisional, dan kalimat tunggal berpredikat adverbial. Sebagian besar kalimat tunggal berpredikat verbal pada bahasa Sindang lebih banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat penuturnya yaitu kalimat intransitif dengan 62 kalimat atau 79,5%. Kalimat bahasa Sindang ditinjau dari segi fungsi untuk jenis kalimat intransitif memiliki struktur fungsi: 1) S,P; 2) K,S,P; 3) S,P,Vokatif; 4) S,P,K; 5) P,K; 6) P,S; 7) P; 8) S,P,S, dan 9) S,P,Pel. Jenis kalimat ekatransitif memiliki struktur fungsi: 1) K,S,P,O,K; 2) S,P,O,Vokatif; 3) P,O,K; 4) P,O; 5) P,O,K,S; 6) S,P,O; dan 7) P,O,S. Kalimat tunggal berpredikat adjektival memiliki struktur fungsi yaitu berstruktur K,S,P dan P,S. Kalimat tunggal berpredikat nominal memiliki struktur fungsi S,P. Kalimat tunggal berpredikat numeral memiliki struktur fungsi P,S dan S,P. Kalimat tunggal berpredikat frase preposisional memiliki struktur fungsi S,P,Vokatif. Kemudian, kalimat tunggal berpredikat adverbia memiliki struktur fungsi S,P. Struktur kalimat tunggal bahasa Sindang memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia penutur asli bahasa tersebut. This article stimulated by the fact that the aim education of the Al-Qur’an perspective and western education are still not understood by various group. This condition is influenced by the lack of curiosity about the educational goals of the Al-Qur’an perspektive and westren education. The aims of article was to give a clear picture about the aim education of Al-Qur’an perspective and western education.This study revealed that the aims of education of the Al-Qur’an in relation and westren education can be known by the public. The implication of this current study is to create awareness among the society towards the educational objectives of Al-Quran and western education perspective. The method used in this study uses analytical methods, types of research, and research data sources. The data analysis method used is by using descriptive methods, namely a method that examines a condition, a system of thought or an event that occurs in the present. This paper aims to contribute to the thought of realizing religious moderation to prevent radicalism. The problem is, what is meant by religious moderation and how to do the deradicalization of religious moderation based harmony in Indonesia. This research used a qualitative method with content analysis techniques (content analysis), which examines and analyzes a number of literature (Library Research) related to the subject matter. Religious moderation is very significant in deradicalizing, namely; 1). Provide awareness of human nature to do good, the necessity of living side by side in the midst of heterogeneity, without cultural, religious and national boundaries. 2). A moderate attitude promotes hospitality and compassion, upholds human dignity, and lives a life based on religion, morals and universal ethics. 3). Religious people are aware of being citizens and at the same time becoming part of world citizens, respecting other truths. 4). Religious moderation is the most appropriate content and practice to prevent radicalism and preserve harmony in Indonesian earth, which is knitted with Pancasila values. Mental attitude that is moderate, fair, and balanced is the key to managing diversity. 5). With religious moderation, it will be able to manage plural and multicultural societies in the midst of the development of information technology in Indonesia. 6). Religious moderation becomes significant not only for the creation of constructive relations between religions externally, but it is also important internally to create harmony between various streams within one religion.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan standar pendidikan Islam dan standar proses dalam QS. Luqman (31):12-19 dan QS. Al-Kahfi (18):60-82. Metode penelitian ini adalah menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan yang akan dianalisis atau disimpulkan. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil pencatatan nilai-nilai keislaman yang ditemukan dalam QS. Luqman (31): 12-19 dan QS. Al-Kahfi (18): 60-82. Langkah-langkah pengadaan data meliputi: (1) penentuan standar pendidikan Islam dan standar proses yang terdapat dalam QS. Luqman (31): 12-19 dan QS. Al-Kahfi (18): 60-82; (2) pencatatan; dan (3) penentuan satuan unit. Keabsahan data didiskusikan dan dikonsultasikan penemuan-penemuan data kepada para ahli dan teman sebaya.  Teknik analisis yang peneliti gunakan yaitu mengklasifikasikan, menggabungkan, menafsirkan, dan menyimpulkan. Hasil penelitian dalam QS. Luqman (31): 12-19 menunjukkan bahwa terdapat standar pendidikan, yaitu: (1) pendidikan ketauhidan; (2) pendidikan berbakti kepada kedua orang tua; (3) pendidikan disiplin dan taat terhadap hukum; (4) pendidikan pribadi mandiri dan bertanggung jawab; dan (5) pendidikan akhlaqul karimah. Dan standar proses dalam QS. Al-Kahfi (18): 60-82, yaitu: (1)  nilai kesabaran dan tekat; (2) nilai urgenitas menyiapkan bekal; (3) sikap tawadhu’; dan (4) nilai urgensi menjelaskan materi pelajaran.Kata kunci: standar pendidikan Islam, standar proses, QS. Luqman (31): 12-19 and QS. Al-Cave (18): 60-82; (2) record-keeping; and (3) the determination of the unit. The validity of the data is discussed and consulted on data findings to experts and peers.  Technique of data analysis used ie classifies, combine, interpret, and conclude. Research results in QS. Luqman (31): 12-19 and indicates that there are educational standards, namely: (1) whence are education; (2) education dedicated to both parents; (3) education of discipline and obedience of the law; (4) private education independent and responsible; and (5) education akhlaqul karimah. And the standards process in respect of QS. Al-Cave (18): 60-82, namely: (1) the value of patience and determined; (2) the value of the urgenitas prepare; (3) tawadhu' attitude; and (4) the value of the urgency to explain the subject matter.

Abstrak:Penelitian ini adalah penelitian stilistika yang mengkaji tentang penggunaan archetype dan loose sentence structure dalam membangun kesan mental pembaca tentang American Nightmare. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti menggali pola-pola penggunaan archetype, loose sentence structure, serta konsep mental pembaca dalam memahami bacaan.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas gaya penulisan Fizgerald dengan menggunakan ornamen berupa archetype, loose sentence structure guna membangun kesan mental pembaca tentang America Nightmare. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah deskriptive kualitatif sedangkan desainnya adalah library research. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer berupa kutipan-kutipan yang dicari dari novel, selain itu juga data sekunder berupa referensi-referensi pendukung. Peneliti juga menggunakan coding dalam proses koleksi data. Teknik ini digunakan untuk membantu peneliti dalam mengklasifikasikan data. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dokumentasi maka dalam analisis peneliti menggunakan pendekatan content analysis selain itu interactive analysis juga digunakan peneliti dalam tahap analisis data. Dalam penelitian ini diperoleh data sebagai berikut:[1] ditemukan data tentang penggunaan archetype sejumlah 851 data/70.79%; [2] ditemukan data tentang penggunaan loose sentence structure sejumlah 351 data/29.20 %; [3] ditemukan data tentang peng­gunaan archetype dan loose sentence structure secara bersamaan sejumlah 1202 data/100%. Sedangkan kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan kedua ornamen, khususnya berupa archetype, didukung juga oleh penggunaan loose sentence structure membuat kontek dari sebuah teks mudah dipahami, Kedua ornamen tersebut meminimalis kesulitan pembaca dalam berinteraksi dengan teks.Kata kunci: American Nightmare, archetype, loose sentence structure
