Identification of potential hazards is the basis of modern occupational safety management and hazards can threaten whenever and wherever including the agricultural sector. To develop the economic strength of the agricultural sector, it is necessary to increase productivity. One way that can be done is to increase employee productivity through the Employee Safety and Health program. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential physical hazards in the PPKS PTPN VII Bekri Business Unit. This type of research is interviews and observations that aim to find an overview of the assessment of physical potential hazards in the palm oil processing PT. Perkebunan Nusantara VII Bekri business unit. The physical potential hazards found in the Palm Oil Processing Plant (PPKS) are the potential hazards of noise generated by machines> 85dB, hot working climate inside the factory, vibrations from the processing process, and improper lighting in the factory. Physical potential hazards contained in the PPKS unit are auditory and non-auditory disturbances on the dangers posed by noise, headaches and dehydration as well as attacks that can arise due to heat, discomfort due to inappropriate lighting resulting in potential work accidents and the appearance of musculoskeletal disorders due to a potential vibration hazard

Occupational safety and health (OSH) issues have become a major concern to many corporations in Malaysia since the enactment of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994. While safety management system has been researched, only limited literatures have given attention to warehousing. The development of effective partnerships between customers and vendors to identify opportunities for enhancing safety management system. Employee safety behaviour in the workplace is crucial in approaching towards safety compliance and safety performance indicators. The main objective was to test the safety behaviour of the workers. Data were collected throughout the warehousing processes of a multinational electronics manufacturer in Malaysia. A questionnaire has been filled-up by the warehousing employees. This study proposes the theory of planned behaviour were to explain the linkage between customer - vendor partnership and safety behaviour. Respondents were questioned partnership with its customers to systematically improve safety behaviour. Usually most of the occupational accident or disease took place in the material handling operations and activities with cargo interface. The findings of this study show that customer-vendor partnership has a significant and positive relationship on safety behaviour. This approach to be examined for improved safety ownership and the possibility that enhancements would become an essential part of the vendor's processes, systems, and culture. This customer-vendor partnership approach will develop safety improvements for next heights of success. SPSS was applied for processing the data. It was found that information dissemination and collaboration with the client are important. Employees should participate in the safety program as required by the clients so as to obtain the merits of high performance workforce.

Employee safety and health is considered to be one of the major important human resource functions for any hotel organization. The current paper focuses on the application of occupational safety and health of laundry employees looking at the nature of the tasks performed in day to day operations. OSH is one of the significant factors responsible for employees inspiration and moreover retention in a hotel organization. Health, safety and performance of the employees are dependent on understanding and application of ergonomic practices followed during laundry operations. The paper explores laundry employee protection against various critical factors such as injuries, accidents, work postures, chemical exposure, heat, fire, noise, etc. A questionnaire was used to perpetuate perception of laundry employees in regard to protection from factors concerning safety and health issues from hotels of India. The results reveal that some of the OSH practices are been followed in hotels, while some were missing from hotels such as training, periodical audit and protection against chemical hazards. The present study suggests need for adopting OSH practices and enforcing periodical check for the same in every hotel besides of its categorization.

BACKGROUND: Mining, especially underground coal mining, has always been a hazardous occupation. Injuries, including those that are fatal, are a major occupational risk that all miners have to face. OBJECTIVE: Despite the fact that all workers are aware of the risks, efforts must be made to increase their safety through the implementation of preventive measures. METHODS: This retrospective study includes injury data from all nine Serbian coal mines over a 16-year period, from 2000 to 2016. All injury data were collected from employee safety and health records. RESULTS: In the analyzed period, a total of 9,273 occupational injuries were recorded at Resavica. The highest number of occupational injuries (over 600) were recorded in 2008 (669), 2004 (651), and 2005 (603). The data shows that almost one fifth of the total number of occupational injuries, or 20.74%, occurred during the said three years. On average, 493.06 minor, 51.12 severe, and 1.29 fatal injuries occurred each year. Every day there were 1.29 minor occupational injuries and every seven days there was one severe injury. CONCLUSIONS: Despite indications that there is a connection between some of the variables and the number of injuries, the general conclusion is that injuries are accidental and unpredictable. The high percentages of injuries are due to the organization of work and the age or qualification structure of the staff and, of course, are the consequence of likelihood –the greater the number of workers, the greater the likelihood of injury. However, the present study showed that some measures can be taken to increase occupational safety and reduce the number of injuries.

The purpose of this study was to determine the Strategy for the Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management (K3) implemented by the company to minimize or reduce the number of accidents and occupational diseases. This type of research is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach and the data needed are primary data and secondary data derived from observations, interviews and documentation analyzed by researchers so as to obtain accurate and clear data regarding the strategy for implementing K3 Management by PLN (Persero) UIP3B Sumatra in Pekanbaru City. The results of this study indicate that the Strategy for Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Management by PLN (Persero) UIP3B Sumatra in Pekanbaru City However, the implementation of occupational safety and health management carried out by PLN (Persero) UIP3B Sumatra has not achieved the expected goals, this happens because there are still inhibiting factors, namely low employee competence, lack of awareness from employees of the importance of K3 and lack of K3 supervision with reference to Government Regulation Number 50 of 2012.

In order to deepen and broaden understanding on the occupational safety and health disparities between temporary and non-temporary workers, psychological and perceptual gaps between the two groups need to be carefully investigated, particularly in relation to risk taking behaviors. To this end, the present study showed the precarious nature of temporary employment in terms of perceived job security and perceived job control. Although the present study showed that risk perception is not significantly different across the temporary and non-temporary worker groups, temporary workers tended to perceive higher monetary benefits from potentially hazardous working opportunities and reported greater willingness to undertake the working opportunities than non-temporary workers. Temporary workers may be more likely to view the working opportunities in hazardous occupational settings as risks that are worthy to take. These findings need to be incorporated in the safety management of temporary workers to promote self-regulatory engagement in safer and healthier behaviors.

In this paper the author summarized the definitions and operationalisations of the safety culture and safety climate concepts. He analyzed the Hungarian and international safetymanagement scientific literatures. He also analyzed the scientific definitions and summarised the common and different elements. The author emphasizes that the many different scientific safety culture researches had been created good possibilities to find the common surfaces. Based on the international safety culture operationalisation practices the author identified a composition of safety culture dimensions which could be a possible basis for the Hungarian safety culture researches. K3 program aimed to provide security for employees in carrying out their work and reduce company costs. If work accidents and illness arise due to work relations, occupational safety and health (K3) must be a top priority in all companies in order to achieve satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the level of workforce satisfaction with the K3 program in the AMP (Asphal Mixing Plant) section of PT. Kerinci Development in 2017. The design of this study was descriptive. The population is all labor in PT. Prima Pembangunan Kerinci AMP section with 30 samples. The method of sampling with total sampling technique, the study was conducted in March - August 2017 and the research instrument using a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study as many as 13 workers (43.3%) were not satisfied with work safety and as many as 17 workers (56.7%) were not satisfied with the work health of the K3 program in the AMP (Asphal Mixing Plant) PT. Prima Pembangunan Kerinci in 2017. It is hoped that the company leaders will conduct routine health checks every month and also leaders pay more attention to employee safety by providing training on awareness of using personal protective equipment and introducing personal protective equipment and ways of using it, so that employees can use at any time in the event of a work accident.

Human resources is a living asset owned by an organization that has an important role for the success of an organization. The success of human resource management as one of the benchmarks is in terms of employee productivity. The needs of employees in carrying out their work in order to achieve optimal work productivity need to be protected with a safe working environment, comfortable and serene, because it will cause the desire to work well. This research was conducted with the aim to know how the implementation of occupational safety and health program, how the productivity of employees work, and how much influence the implementation of occupational safety and health program on employees work productivity at PT Papyrus Sakti Paper Mill. The data collection tool in this research is by distributing questionnaires to 125 employees of production department. Analytical techniques used in the form of descriptive analysis techniques with quantitative approach. The result of descriptive statistical analysis for both variables shows the safety and health variables with employee productivity are in good category. Based on the results of testing on the implementation of occupational safety and health have a positive and significant effect on work productivity of employees. It can be proven from the calculation t count = 6.359> t table = 1.979 with the percentage of influence of 24.7%.
