Teachers as educators must be selective in choosing the right physics textbooks in order to help students achieve the expected competencies. However, textbooks that are suitable for use in accordance with the demands off the 2013 Curriculum, especially in Padang Pariaman Regency, have not been carried out. Therefore, a research was conducted which aims was determine the application of the components of the scientific approach in the second class X Semester 2 SMA Physics textbook used in SMA throughout the Padang Pariman Regency. This research is a descriptive studyswith a qualitative approach. The population in this study was the 2013 class X high school physics textbook used by 20 public high schools in Padang Pariaman Regency. Textbook sampling for analysis using saturated sampling technique. The data in this study were taken using an analytical instrument of the application of the scientific approach component developed from Permendikbud Number 103 of 2014. The results showed that the application off the scientific approach component of the textbooks analyzed was categorized quite appropriate, meaning that overall the five textbooks analyzed had not facilitated each component of the scientific approach optimally. Textbooks with the highest percentage of the fulfillment of the Scientific approach components are found in textbooks with the code Book A with an average percentage of 45.8%, and the lowest percentage is in Book C with an average percentage of 32.3%.

The development of learning tools is one of the abilities that must be possessed by teachers in each education unit in order to develop students' abilities in carrying out research-based learning. One tool that can support this goal is a learning tool based on research-based learning models with a scientific approach. The purpose of this study is to develop high school physics learning tools using a lerning based research model with a scientific approach with valid, practical and effective criteria. The type of research used is research and development. The results of research on the analysis of students obtained that class students have been able to develop the ability to solve problems. In the validity test obtained an average percentage of RPP 85.79%, an average handout of 85.68%, an average LKS of 86.20%, and an average rating of 87.50%. Practicality test results obtained an average percentage of the implementation of the RPP is 89.16%, the average teacher response questionnaire 90.83%, and the average student questionnaire response 88.33%. Furthermore, the results of the effectiveness test were obtained from an attitude competency assessment with an average of 86.50%, an average assessment of knowledge competence 87.50%, an average competency assessment of 89.50%. The research shows that the High School Physics Learning Tool uses a research-based learning model using a Scientific approach to the material characteristics of waves which are in the category of very valid, very practical, and very effective so that it is feasible to be applied in the learning process.

The scientific approach is a learning process that is procedurally designed according to the general steps of scientific activity. This study aims to determine the suitability of the application of the scientific approach in accordance with the 2013 curriculum for SMA / MA. The research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population in this study was the Edupark Physics research books. The standard book used is seen from several high school physics textbooks made in Indonesia and used in West Sumatra. The sample in this study was the Edupark Textbook of Mifan Waterpark Padang Panjang Physics and standard books namely Physics book for SMA / MA class X curriculum 2013 revised 2016 and class XI curriculum 2013 in 2017 published by Erlangga with the instruction of Marthen Kanginan. The data in this study were taken using research instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies. The results showed that the level of appropriateness of the application of the scientific approach in the textbook Edupark Physics Mifan Waterpark Padang Panjang based on Permendikbud No. 103 of 2014, there are still many subject matter that have not applied the steps in the scientific approach, so that the results obtained are not in accordance with the percentage 39.6 %. Whereas the standard book that is used has a percentage of 38.2% with the category not quite right. Thus it can be concluded that the Teaching Edupark Textbook of Mifan Waterpark Padang Panjang has a category that is equivalent to the standard book used. However, it is necessary to conduct a review so that the application of the scientific approach to the two books has more appropriate results.

Understanding the potential of self is very necessary to be given in an effort to prepare a tough generation of 21 century who have adequate skills. The fundamental problem is the low ability of self-recognition of kinesthetic response and communication between person and person in his group. Marginal children as well as groups of children The changes and demands of school curricula are directed to the development of the 21st-century generation. The study of kinesthetic and interpersonal skill indicators as part of the development of basic skills is developed in both formal and non-formal education. This study aims to analyze the increase of bodily-kinesthetic and interpersonal skill in science learning in MTs through the application of the scientific approach. The design of this research is quasi-experiment (Quasi-Experimental Design) which form Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this research is all students of class VIII MTs Negeri Mranggen. The sample consists of two classes taken with simple random sampling technique. There is a significant difference between bodily-kinesthetic and interpersonal skills that use learners' worksheets with the teaching materials used in the school. The difference is indicated by the average bodily-kinesthetic and interpersonal skill values between experiment classes that have a higher value than the control class. Data were analyzed by using the right side t-test. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that the application of the scientific approach has an effect on the increase of bodily-kinesthetic and interpersonal skill of MTs students.

The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe the students’ learning interest of class X IIS 1 Jelimpo Senior High School in the academic year of 2018/2019 in Landak Regency. This study was descriptive qualitative. The subject of this study was the students of X IIS consisted of two classes. The sample of this study was 76 students who were selected using saturated sampling technique. The technique in collecting data was using questionnaire. The result shows that the students’ percentage average score was 58%. So it can be concluded that most students are interested in learning mathematic. Based on gender, male students reach the average percentage of 55% and female students reach 62%. Thus, most of them have learning interest of mathematic. If it is compared, the percentage average of female students’ interest in learning mathematic is higher than male students (62% > 55%). In short, the female students’ learning interest is higher than male students’ in mathematic subject for class X IIS 1 Jelimpo Senior High School.

This article discusses the level of resilience of post-earthquake disaster high school students in Pidie Jaya District. Resilience is the ability of a person to adjust and survive even if someone faces a difficult and pressing situation. This study uses descriptive method and sampling using cluster random sampling technique from 9 public high schools in Pidie Jaya Regency so that two schools were obtained as research sites, namely high school (SMA) 1 Tringgadeng and high school (SMA) 2 Meureudu with a sample of 310 students. The data collection method used was using the TIR-I questionnaire (Taufik and Ifdil Resilience Inventory). The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and T-test to see differences in the level of resilience in terms of gender with the help of SPSS version 20.0. The results showed that the level of resilience of public high school students after the earthquake in Pidie Jaya District was in the moderate category with a percentage of 48.4% totaling 150 students with an average value of 134. Furthermore, this study also examined in detail 7 aspects of resilience which showed the results of aspects emotion regulation in the low category (38%), impulse control aspects (59%), optimism (65%), empathy (64%), 56% self-efficacy and reaching out (65%) in the moderate category and causal analysis (69 %) in the high category. While the difference in the level of resilience in terms of sex for SMAN 1 Tringgadeng there are differences in the level of resilience where men are higher, with a value of 148, 75 and lower women with a value of 123,74. While for SMAN 2 Meureudu there is a no different level of resilience between men and women.

The background of this research is the lack of competence of physics teachers in using physics KIT. This research was conducted with the hope that there will be an increase in the competence of senior high school physics teachers in West Pasaman in using the physics KIT. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental design and one group pretest-posttest. This study has a population of all physics teachers who join physics teachers group in West Pasaman Regency. The sample was taken by using simple random sampling technique, selecting 22 teachers as representatives of the physics teachers group in West Pasaman Regency. The results showed an increase in teachers' competence in using the physics KIT after mentoring the use of the physics KIT. The increase in teacher competence can be described through the value of again, the N-gain value obtained is 0.33 (moderate). This means that the teacher's competence in using the physics KIT can increase after mentoring the use of the physics KIT.

<p class="apa">This research aims at describing the factors influencing the extracurricular activities especially scouting. This research also aims at describing the Scouts skills that can form the students’ character. This research is also to describe the strategies for the formation of the students’ character through scout activities. This research was a qualitative approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were then analysed descriptively by using three ways namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results show that the implementation of character education through scout activities at Junior High school (SMPN 1 Maros) on the aspects of supporting factors is still not optimal. The supporting infrastructure is still lacking. The ratio between the scout leader and students is not comparable. In addition, the amount of funding and financing sources is lacking. This research also found that the Scout skills such as rigging, doing first aid, decoding, camping, marching, navigating and mapping can shape the students’ characters. The characters that can be formed are thoroughness, patience, cooperation, responsibility, social care, courage, confidence, perseverance, creative, religious, patriotism, environmental awareness, independence, discipline, curiosity, and hard work. This research also shows that character formation strategies are intervention, exemplary, habituation, facilitation, strengthening, and the involvement of other parties.</p>

Curriculum 2013 has been implemented in targeted schools in order to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, starting from elementary school to high school level. However, in implementation, until now there has no teaching materials of physics subjects that can be used as a guide learning in school, especially to apply scientific approach. Therefore, in order to improve the quality of education in secondary schools in Padang, in general, this study aims to improve the quality of education, especially in senior high school physics in Padang. Specifically targets to be achieved through this research is to develop teaching materials based on scientific approach in an effort to improve students' thinking skills and understanding of the concepts of high school physics for implemented of curriculum 2013. In practice, research began identifying problems in school, then design an scientific approach based teaching materials. To test validity of scientific approach is based teaching materials then conducted of development research (R &amp; D, four D models ) with the defining phases are define, design, development , and disseminate. Based on the results of the validation of teaching materials created, generally result is good categorize. So that the teaching material has been designed can be used in senior high school.

This research aimed to examine the implementation of a scientific approach on biology learning of grade X state senior high school in Wonogiri viewed from teacher's employment status. It is descriptive research using the observation method. The subject involved Biology teachers of grade X and the students of grade X as many as 1 class from each school. Employing a convenience sampling technique, the researchers selected a sample of 6 biology teachers from grade X. The independent variable was the biology teacher's employment status, and the dependent variable was the scientific implementation approach on biology learning. The instrument used in this research was an observation sheet. The acquired data then analyzed descriptively. The research results have indicated that biology teachers' employment status who is a civil servant or non-civil servant has implemented the scientific approach well. The students' involvement and activity were positive during the learning process.

Curriculum 2013 is the development of curriculum KTSP. In this curriculum there were four competencies (KI) are KI-1 (religious attitudes), KI-2 (social attitudes), KI-3 (knowledge) and KI-4 (skill). KI-1 and KI-2 integrated in the KI-3 and KI-4. One of Learning approach in Curriculum 2013 is Scientific Approach with do activities like observing, questioning, experiment/ trying/exploration, processing and communicate information. The aim of the study is to observe Scientific Approach in the RPP and its appropriateness in learning. This is a descriptive study by using purposive sampling technique. The data obtained through the study of the documentation, observation, and interviews. The sample of the study is a Cluster III’s Senior High School that piloting by Curriculum 2013 at Bandung. The results of the study showed in generally, the content of Scientific Approach in the RPP is 69,17% and its appropriateness is 57,84%. This means that scientific approach in Biology learning has not been done well.
