<p class="apa">This research aims at describing the factors influencing the extracurricular activities especially scouting. This research also aims at describing the Scouts skills that can form the students’ character. This research is also to describe the strategies for the formation of the students’ character through scout activities. This research was a qualitative approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were then analysed descriptively by using three ways namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results show that the implementation of character education through scout activities at Junior High school (SMPN 1 Maros) on the aspects of supporting factors is still not optimal. The supporting infrastructure is still lacking. The ratio between the scout leader and students is not comparable. In addition, the amount of funding and financing sources is lacking. This research also found that the Scout skills such as rigging, doing first aid, decoding, camping, marching, navigating and mapping can shape the students’ characters. The characters that can be formed are thoroughness, patience, cooperation, responsibility, social care, courage, confidence, perseverance, creative, religious, patriotism, environmental awareness, independence, discipline, curiosity, and hard work. This research also shows that character formation strategies are intervention, exemplary, habituation, facilitation, strengthening, and the involvement of other parties.</p>

<p><em>This research is a qualitative descriptive research aims to (1) describe and explain the structure of folklore of Purbalingga District, (2) to describe and explain the social care values contained in Purbalingga District folklore, (3) describe and explain the relevance of folklore as the character buildingand teaching material in Junior High School. Data and information are collected through informants and documents. Data collection is done through observation, recording, interview, and document analysis. Research sample is determined by purposive sampling technique. Validation of data is done by triangulation. The results of this research are:</em></p><em>(1) the structure of folklore Purbalingga District, (2) social caring values contained in Purbalingga District folklore, (3) relevance of folklore as the character building and teaching material in Junior High School.</em>

Islamic Religious Education is an important and inseparable part of the educational curriculum in Indonesia. Besides being an obligation for its adherents, Islamic learning can instill the values of faith and make students possess noble morals (akhlakul karimah). This study aims to examine and discuss how the implementation process of Islamic education in instilling noble morals in students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Islamic Junior High School). This study uses a qualitative approach with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing as the data analysis. The sample of this study was the principal of the madrasah, vice-principal, students, and teachers of Islamic education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Makassar. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that through the implementation of Islamic Religious Education, the students could possess noble characters. There are eight behaviors that are applied to instill the noble characters, namely habituating the smiles, salaam, and greetings, mutual respect (tolerance), sunnah fasting on Monday and Thursday, performing the Duha prayer, performing dhuhr prayers, reciting the Quran, congregational prayer, and getting used to alms giving (infaq). These eight commendable behaviors are recommended for teachers and principals to be applied in their respective schools.

Implementation of character education based on local wisdom has been implemented in Purwakarta through Sundanese architecture of education buildings, government and public places. Purwakarta also has a policy about 7 special days of education. This research method is descriptive with qualitative approach. Researchers conducted SWOT analysis from character education program based on local wisdom at Junior High School in Purwakarta. Research located at SMPN Kahuripan Purwakarta. Analysis from the research is use to make principes of management by George Terry, including planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The methods researc are observation, interview, and quetionaire. The research find that the main obstacle that needs attention is the teacher's readiness / skill. In this case workshops can be conducted to assist teachers about the curriculum, in terms of reducing character education programs based on local wisdom in their respective subjects. Basically they have a positive assessment, it's just a constraint on the application.

This study aims to determine the intrinsic elements and the value of character education in the Pawang Ternalem drama script, as well as to determine the benefits of the analysis of drama scripts as teaching materials for Indonesian in Grade VIII. This study uses qualitative methods with data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis. Based on the results of data processing, the research results show that in the Pawang Ternalem drama script there are intrinsic elements including themes, characters and characterizations, plot, setting, language style in dialogue, and mandate. In addition to the intrinsic elements of the drama script, 10 character education values were found, namely the values of religious character education, honesty, tolerance, hard work, creative, independent, respect for achievement, friendly / communicative, social care, and responsibility.

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Qur'an's tahfidz program by using social media at Senior Islamic High School of Sunan Giri Semampir Surabaya. The type of this research is a field research that the location is Senior Islamic High School of Sunan Giri as the executor of the Qur'an's memorizing extracurricular activities by looking for qualitative approach. The subject of this study involved the head of the school, the Trustees of the Qur’an memorizing program  and participants of male and female students. Data collection using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. This Study uses the analytical method of Miles Huberman model with three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is: First, the Tahfidz Program in MA Sunan Giri Surabaya is a new program with memorization of 5 juz for students who stay in dormitory and 2 juz for non-boarding students. Second, the process of implementing memorization through social media, with 3 stages, namely: 1) Reading together verses to be memorized, 2) Memorizing students at their homes with the assistance of parents, 3) students' memorizes to the teacher through video calls. Third, the implementation of the Qur’an’s memorizing program went well as expected as the program is usually in the school

The aim of National education is to create a generation that has good character and noble character. But 8 of 10 children experienced bullying cases in Indonesia stay on 4th in cases of child abuse. Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas as an educational figure in contemporary Islamic times. This study uses qualitative research methods with the type of library research. Strengthening Education forms good human character, Syed M. Naquib Al-Attas uses the concept of ta'dib, which is to instill good manners to form praiseworthy personalities in humans that encompass habits, character and habits. Strengthening character education at Al-Ishlah Cibinong Junior High School based on the Qur'an in planning, management, implementation and evaluation. Strengthening character education is highly needed in junior high schools by applying the model model, learning in class, integrating with all subject matter, integrating in Intrakulikuler, Kokurikuler and Extracurricular activities, empowerment and coaching.

AbstrakUsia anak SMP umumnya mengikuti suatu kegitan hanya didasari dengan ketertarikan atau hanya meniru teman saja tanpa tahu tujuannya. Kenyataanya seseorang melakukan suatu aktivitas atau kegiatan selalu didasari dengan adanya motivasi dan minat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi minat siswa memilih ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMP Purwokerto, yang terdiri dari faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP 1 Muhammadiyah Purwokerto dan SMP Al Irsyad Purwokerto yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis dengan total sampel sebanyak 65 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket/kuisoner, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil dan kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat siswa memilih ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMP Purwokerto, dari faktor internal sebanyak 36,05% dengan indikator rasa senang sebesar 18,14% dan indikator ketertarikan sebesar 17,91%. Sedangkan untuk faktor eksternal mempengaruhi minat siswa memilih ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis sebanyak 63,95%, terdiri dari indikator pelatih 16,22%, indikator lingkungan 16,27%, indikator fasilitas 15,71% dan indikator keluarga 15,75%.Kata kunci: Faktor, Minat Siswa, Ekstrakurikuler, BulutangkisDETERMINING FACTORS OF INTEREST IN MIDDLE SCHOOL EXTRACURRICULAR STUDENTS IN PURWOKERTO AbstractThe junior high school student’s generally follows an activity only based on interest or just imitating friends without knowing their purpose. In fact, someone doing an activity or action is always based on of motivation and interest. This study aims to determine the faktors that influence students' interest in choosing badminton extracurricular at Purwokerto junior high school, which consists of internal faktorsand external faktors. This type of research is descriptive research. The population in this study were students of Purwokerto junior high school 1 Muhammadiyah and Al Irsyad Purwokerto junior high school who participated in badminton extracurricular activities with a total sample of 60 students.  Sampling technique in this study is total sampling. Data collection techniques was using questionnaires / questionnaires, documentation, and observation. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach.  The result and conclusion showed that the faktors that influence student’s interest in choosing badminton extracurricular at Purwokerto junior high school were 36.05% from internal faktors with 18.14% pleasure indikators and 17.91% interest indikators. Whereas for external faktors affect the interest of students choosing badminton extracurricular as much as 63.95%, consisting of 16.22% coach indikators, 16.27% environmental indikators, 15.71% facility indikators and 15.75% family indikators. The purpose of this study is to describe the character values ​​in the novel Anak-Langit by Mohd Amin MS and to foster and apply character to students of MI, because it is seen from the phenomena that occur in Indonesia today such as the occurrence of bad habits , fighting, cheating, dishonesty, and disrespect for parents. This study uses a qualitative approach, with content analysis methods. The type of research used is literature study. The technique of collecting data is documentation study, which means that the data used can be done by examining children's novels from heaven and looking for relevant documents or books and literature. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion / verification. Based on the results of this study, it shows that there are 18 characters in the novel Anak-Langit, namely religious, honest, responsibility, discipline, hard-working, creative, independent, curiosity, fond of reading, respect for achievement, democratic, social care, friendly. communicative, tolerant, spirit of nationality, love the country, love peace, and care for the environment. As for implementing these 18 characters, it is in activities or programs provided in the school environment such as extracurricular, intraculricular and other routine activities that can be used as a habit for MI. Keyword: Value of Character Education, Novel Anak-anak Langit, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter yang ada dalam novel Anak-anak Langit Karya Mohd Amin MS serta untuk membina dan menerapkan karakter kepada siswa MI, karena dilihat dari fenomena yang terjadi di Indonesia saat ini seperti terjadinya kebiasaan-kebiasaan buruk, perkelahian, menyontek, tidak jujur, dna tidak menghormati orangtua. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode analisis isi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan studi dokumentasi yang artinya data-data yang digunakan dapat dilakukan dengan menelaah novel anak-anak langit dan mencari dokumen atau buku yang relevan dan studi pustaka. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada 18 karakter yang ada didalam novel Anak-anak Langit yaitu religius, jujur, tanggung jawab, disiplin, bekerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, gemar membaca, menghargai prestasi, demokratis, peduli sosial, bersahabat/komunikatif, toleransi, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, cinta damai, dan peduli lingkungan. Adapun dalam menerapkan ke-18 karakter ini adalah dalam kegiatan-kegiatan atau program-program yang disediakan di lingkungan sekolah seperti ekstrakulikuler, intrakulikuler serta kegiatan-kegiatan rutin lainnya yang dapat dijadikan kebiasaan untuk siswa MI. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan pendidikan karakter terhadap efektifitas penggunan kurikulum 2013 dalam persepektif moral bangsa dan untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam penerapan kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan snowball sampling. Informan kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, waka kurikulum, wali kelas, guru dan siswa. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tehnik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang sudah terkumpul dianalisis melalui langkah reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penerapan pendidikan karakter dalam penggunaan kurikulum 2013 sudah diterapkan secara efektif. Hal ini terlihat dari pengintegrasian pendidikan karakter oleh guru dalam setiap mata pelajaran. (2) dipandang dalam persepekif moral bangsa bahwa karakter yang dimilki siswa terindikasi sudah bermoral bangsa yang baik. Hal ini terbukti dari beberapa karakter yang diterapkan siswa dalam lingkungan sekolah seperti karakter religius, jujur, toleransi, peduli sosial, tanggung jawab, peduli lingkungan, bersahabat dan demokratis. (3) kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam penerapan pendidikan karakter yang utama adalah sarana dan prasarana dan minimnya waktu dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Ini terlihat dari kurangnya sarana misalnya seperti LCD sebagai penunjang kegiatan pembelajaran dan ketidak tuntasan dalam penyampaian materi pembelajaran.The purpose of this study was to determine the application of character education to the effectiveness of the use of the 2013 curriculum in the nation's moral perspective and to find out the obstacles faced by teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. The sampling technique using snowball sampling. The key informants in this study were the principal, curriculum committee, homeroom teacher and students. The research data was obtained through observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data that has been collected is analyzed through data reduction steps, data presentation and verification. The results of the study show that (1) the application of character education in the use of the 2013 curriculum has been applied effectively. This can be seen from the integration of character education by teachers in each subject. (2) seen in the nation's moral perspective that the character possessed by students is indicated to have good moral values. This is evident from some of the characters applied by students in the school environment such as religious character, honesty, tolerance, social care, responsibility, caring, friendly and democratic. (3) constraints faced by teachers in implementing the main character education are facilities and infrastructure and the minimum time in learning activities. This can be seen from the lack of facilities such as LCD as supporting learning activities and incompleteness in the delivery of learning material.
