The purpose of this study is 1) to know the condition of physical parameters, free groundwater chemistry; 2) to what extent of leachate water contamination of against free groundwater in the Air Dingin landfill, Padang City. The data analysis technique used in this study is based on Minister of Health Regulation Number 419/1990 concerning Water Quality Requirements and Supervision, and Government Regulation Number 82/2010 concerning Management of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control. The water quality physics test results show 1) smell and taste meet the quality standard requirements; 2) water temperature meets quality standard requirements; 3) watercolour meets quality standard requirements; 4) Dissolved Solids (TDS) meet the quality standard requirements; and 5) Suspended Solids (TSS) meet the quality standard requirements, while the chemical quality of water shows 1) pH below the quality standard; 2) Arsenic below the quality standard; 3) Cadmium is below the quality standard; 4) Chromium below the quality standard; 5) Iron below the quality standard; 6) Lead below the quality standard; 7) Manganese below the quality standard; 8) Free groundwater below the quality standard; and 9) COD below the quality standard.. Leachate water that comes out laterally from the garbage pile tends to flow following the contour of the land towards a lower direction.

The aims of this study are to determine the feasibility of Bengawan Solo River water for irrigation of rice field in Sragen, Central Java and to find solution to the problem. The data used in this study were obtained from various literatures related to the issues discussed. The collected data were then selected and analyzed with descriptive argumentative. The result indicates that the water quality of Bengawan Solo River has dropped below the water quality standard grade IV according to Government Regulation Number 82 Year 2001. The use of water from this river has caused the quality of rice to decline below the rice quality standard according to Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 01.6128-2008 due to the bioaccumulation of heavy metals on rice crops, i.e. copper (Cu), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), and Chromium (Cr) exceeded the threshold. Solution proposed to overcome this problem is with counseling programs to farmers conducted by relevant agencies on the use of rice field pollution control technology by physics, chemistry, and biology.

Cimanuk river is one of the seven rivers in West Java. Cimanuk river pollution is indicated to have suffered as a result of the activity of domestic waste, industrial and agricultural uncontrolled in the riparian area of Cimanuk river. This research aims to analize water quality of Cimanuk river based on water quality standard on Government Regulation of Republic of Indonesia (IDN), Regulation of the Governor of West Java (WJ), World Health Organization (WHO), Enviromental Standard of United Kingdom (UK), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Enviromental Quality Standard (EQS), and Department of Environment (DOE). This research used pollution index method. The result is water quality of Cimanuk river not meet water quality standard where the TSS (94.85±84,60 mg/L), BOD (9.61±3.16 mg/L), COD (37.69±14.01 mg/L), DO (5.12±1.22 mg/L), NH3N (0.25±0.24 mg/L). Degradation of water quality of Cimanuk river from upstream to downstream marked by increased pollution index value annually. Pollution index of Cimanuk river ranging from 1.25 to 20.31. Water quality status of Cimanuk river has been from lightly polluted to heavilypolluted.

The lack of clean water distribution by local water service (PDAM) of Palangka Raya city is the major reason for people around the final processing site/landfill (Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir) at Km 14 to use groundwater for their daily life. The landfill may cause pollution over groundwater known as leachate, which commonly unnoticed by its users. This study aims at assessing the quality of groundwater in that area. The groundwater was taken at different distances from the site in three rainless-days. The physical, chemical and biology parameters of groundwater are observed in the field (in situ) and analyzed in the laboratory, refers to water quality standard of Class I, according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 and Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. Public opinion on that issue is cached through interview. The results showed that the groundwater around the landfill in three rainless-days was harmless to be consumed as drinking water, and did not exceed the water quality standards stipulated by government in term of odorless, tasteless, and colorless. Some indicators also show that the groundwater meets the specified quality standards, i.e. TDS (17-68.14 mg/L), DHL (17,15-69.39 ?s), turbidity (0.11-2.50 mg/L), iron (0.227-0.71 mg/L), manganese (<0.0123-0.02 mg/L), coliform (<1.8-280 MPN/100 ml), while Pb and H2S were not detected. From community side, there are no any health complaints arise as long as they use the water.

The quality of water in a river is affected by its natural condition and pollutant input originated from activities conducted around the river. In the Siak river, however, the black water effect influences thedistribution of the pollutant in general. To understand the quality of water in the black water affected by an area, a study was conducted from December 2015 to July 2016. The water was sampled during lowand high tides, in 8 sampling sites that were distributed along the river, from the mouth of the river in Siak Sri Indrapura Regency to upstream in Palas Village, Kampar Regency (around 180 km from the mouth ofthe river). The results showed that in the downstream of the Siak river, the quality of water during the low and high tides was worse than the 3rd Class Water Quality Standard issued by the Government Regulation (GR No. 82 / 2001) except for the concentration of nitrate, total coliform, Hg, oil and fat. The BOD was 14-39.2 mg/L (the high tide) and 17-45.6 mg/L (the low tide), COD was 51.76-80.62 mg/L (thehigh tide) and 51.76-69.12 mg/L (the low tide), NH3-N was 0.03-1.09 mg/L (the high tide) and 0.03-0.92 mg/L (the low tide), while the NO2-N was 0.13-0.17 mg/L (the high tide) and 0.13-0.22 mg/L (the low tide). Based on the Storet Index, the water of the downstream in the Siak river during the low and the high tide can be categorized as heavily polluted (score -52 to -70), and it tends to decline during the high tide.

Field activities conducted to determine the level of mercury content in the water flow of Lake Payawan,Tumbang Panggo Village, Tasik Payawan District, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan Provincebased on laboratory test results to obtain the results of mercury content in upstream to downstream ofLake Payawan. From this research, it is necessary to test the quality of water in the laboratory in orderto analyze the water quality parameters so it can be known mercury content (Hg) in Lake Payawanwater flow. From the test results on 6 points river water samples in the laboratory of the IndustrialResearch and Standardization Center of Banjarbaru City showed the highest mercury content found insample number 3 with P. 2076 test code taken at the location of the middle Lake Payawan TasikPayawan District with mercury levels located At a rate of 0.069 μg / l or 0.000069 mg / l, this reflectsthe presence of other factors that may also affect the level of mercury content in Lake Payawan flow.

Abstract: Limited availability of raw water is one of the problems encountered in the provision of water services in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the difference in the quality of well water within 0-100 meters and within 101-200 meters from the beach by measuring physical parameters, i.e.unclearness. The number of samples in this study were 65 wells owned by residents in the Village of Madidir Ure and from those wells there are 25 with a distance of 0-100 meters and 40 with a distance of 101-200 meters from the beach.The parameters were observed referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of Indonesia Number 479/Menkes/Per/IV/2010 about the Terms and Water Quality Monitoring, including the physical parameters such as unclearness measured by using turbidity. Data collection methods used in this study is a cross sectional and the laboratory analysis was done in “Badan Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan (BTKL)” Manado.  The results, show water quality from the well within distance of 0-100 meters exceeds a set of maximum levels of more than 5 NTU, while the result of the water quality within 101-200 meters does not exceed the maximum of 5 NTU. Conclusion: there is a difference in the quality of water in the Village of Madidir Bitung City Ure taken from the well within a distance of 0-100 meters and the well within 101-200 meters from the beach. Keywords: Water Quality, Well, Parameter physics     Abstrak: Terbatasnya ketersediaan air baku adalah salah satu masalah yang dihadapi dalam penyediaan layanan air bersih di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kualitas air sumur yang berjarak 0-100 meter dan 101-200 meter dari tepi pantai dengan parameter ukur fisika. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 65 sumur milik penduduk di Kelurahan Madidir Ure dan keseluruhan sumur tersebut ada 25 sumur dengan jarak 0-100 meter dan 40 sumur dengan jarak 101-200 meter dari tepi pantai. Adapun parameter yang diamati mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Indonesia Nomor 479/Menkes/ Per/IV/2010 tentang syarat-syarat dan Pengawasan Kualitas Air yang meliputi parameter fisika seperti kekeruhan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Cross sectional atau potong lintang dan dianalisis di laboratorium Badan Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan (BTKL) Manado. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas air dengan jarak 0-100 meter melebihi kadar maksimum yang ditetapkan yaitu lebih dari 5 NTU (Nephlometer Turbidity Unit), sedangkan kualitas air dengan jarak 101-200 meter hasilnya tidak melebihi kadar maksimum yang telah ditetapkan yaitu kurang dari 5 NTU (Nephlometer Turbidity Unit). Simpulan: terdapat perbedaan kualitas air sumur di Kelurahan Madidir Ure Kota Bitung yang diukur dari jarak 0-100 meter dan 101-200 meter dari tepi pantai. The city of Lhokseumawe is located in the coastal area of Malacca Strait separated through the river Krueng Cunda which forms a strait so potential to be used as aquaculture area. Determination of location of research by purposive sampling at River Krueng Cunda by setting five observation station. Sampling is done directly (insitu) location without repetition The result of water quality measurement at research location is measurement of chemical physics factor obtained average temperature 29 0C to 33 0C, dissolved oxygen (DO) 6,3 (mg / l) to 7, 7 (mg / l), the pH of the waters to five stations is in the range of 7.3 to 7.9 and the salinity in the station ranges from 12% to 28%. The quality of Krueng Cunda River water is still within the quality standard threshold according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 on water quality management and water pollution control, so potential to be developed into aquaculture area.

Bottled water is generally considered safe for drinking. However, several studies have reported the substandard quality of bottled water. Physico-chemical assessment of ten different brands of bottled water distributed in Bhaktapur Municipality was carried out from January 2018 to March 2018. In total, one hundred bottled water samples consisting of ten different brands were collected randomly from various retail outlets. Eight selected physico-chemical and microbiological parameters were analysed following standard methods, and the results were compared with the Nepal Drinking Water Quality Standard (NDWQS) (2005). Out of one hundred samples, sixty-nine samples did not comply with the standard pH limit. Other physico-chemical parameters were found to comply with the standard though variations were observed in the concentrations among different brands. Microbial contamination was not found in any brands of the bottled water samples considered in this study. However, it is necessary to examine other contaminants such as heavy metals, minerals, and chemicals to know the overall quality of water. Moreover, the regulatory bodies are required to strictly monitor water processing companies for the maintenance of the quality of bottled water.

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang kualitas fisika-kimia air sumur di tempat pembuangan akhir sampah (TPA) kecamatan Tuminting, Manado secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kajian yang dilakukan meliputi parameter fisika yaitu penentuan pH, bau, rasa, warna, kekeruhan dan total padatan terlarut (TDT) serta parameter kimia yaitu penentuan nitrat, nitrit, klorida, sulfat, besi dan mangan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian parameter fisika pada 4 titik pengambilan air ada beberapa titik pengambilan sampel yang tidak sesuai dengan syarat baku mutu kualitas air yaitu tidak berbau dan berasa serta memiliki rentang pH 6,5-9,2 dan memiliki nilai maksimal untuk warna 50, kekeruhan 25, dan TDT 1500. Begitu juga untuk parameter kimia ada beberapa titik pengambilan sampel yang tidak sesuai dengan syarat baku mutu kualitas air yaitu memiliki nilai maksimal untuk klorida 600 mg/L, nitrat 10 mg/L, nitrit 1 mg/L, besi 1 mg/L, mangan 0,5 m/L dan sulfat 400 mg/L.A research on the physico-chemical quality of the well water in the landfill (TPA) district Tuminting, Manado has been done. The study includedphysical parameters, namely pH, odor, taste, color, turbidity and total dissolved solids (TDS) and chemical parameters, namely nitrate, nitrite, chloride, sulphate, iron and manganese. Among the four sampling sites, some sites did not meet the water quality standard based on some physical parameters, those are odorless and tasteless, pH range of 6.5 to 9.2 and maximum value of 50 for color, 25 for turbidity, and 1500 for TDS. Likewise, for chemical parameters, several sampling points are not in accordance with the terms of water quality standard, those aremaximum value of 600 mg/Lfor chlorides, 10 mg/L for nitrate, 1 mg/L for nitrite, 1 mg/L for iron, 0.5 m/L for manganese and 400 mg/L for sulphate.

Research has been carried out on the analysis of the content of Fe (II) in sewage water around TPA II in the sub-district of the glorious work of Palembang 2 with a UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. This study was conducted to determine the iron content of leachate water around the final disposal site using the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. The results of the characterization of leachate with UV-Vis spectrophotometry showed the highest iron metal content at point 4 to 4 at 2.767 mg / I with an average content of 0.7308 mg/I which exceeded the quality standard of water quality in accordance with Government Regulation No.82 of 2001 that the iron content allowed in class I water quality quality standards is 0.3 mg / I.
