Many students in elementary school make mistakes when solving math problems, especially misconceptions. This is caused by a lack of mathematical material understanding, students are lazy to open mathematics books or notes, and students are lazy to do assignments given by the teacher. This study aims to analyze the mistakes of fifth grade elementary school students in solving HOTS math’s problems based on Newman. This type of research in this research is qualitative research. The data collection techniques include tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study, the mistakes made by fifth grade students of SDN 02 Mojorejo Kota Madiun were reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors, and answer errors. end (encoding error). The most frequent mistakes made were misunderstanding and process skills errors. Some of the factors that cause students to make mistakes are students who are not familiar with HOTS math problems, students do not write down what is known and asked from the questions, lack of mastery on the material of volume shapes, and students are not careful in answering math questions

Multicultural approach in Indonesian language has become an absolute necessity over the last years. This research highlights the role of multicultural culture as a means to improve writing achievement of Indonesian Language among elementary school students. This study aims at determining the effectiveness of the multicultural approach in the writing achievement of Indonesian language among fifth grade students of islamic elementary school who are grouped based on their learning motivation. This study can be catagorized as an experimental study with 2x2 factorial design. The independent variable consists of two categories, multicultural and conventional approaches. The population was  60 fifth grade students of at two private islamic schools. The data was collected using learning achievement tests and learning motivation questionnaires, and analyzed using two-way ANOVA and sheffe test. The results showed that (1) there were a gap in learning achievement between students in the experimental group and control group students; (2) there were differences in learning achievement between students with high motivation between both groups; (3) there were differences in learning achievement between low motivated students between both groups; (4) the multicultural approaches proved to be more effective than the conventional one; and (5) there was no interaction between the approaches and the learning motivation.

The purpose of this study was 1) to find out the application of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Cooperative learning model in order to increase the learning interest of the fifth grade students of Tangkisan State Elementary School.. The results of this study indicate that: (1) In general, the application of the appropriate TAI learning model is effective in improving mathematics learning achievement, (2) Increased mathematics learning achievement of fifth grade elementary school students at Tangkisan at 61.07 in the first cycle of 75, 31 in the second cycle of 84.69

This research develops e-module teaching materials by using a digitalized book application based on ethno constructivism and also discerns students' responses to the e-modules. We employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) to create the books. The ADDIE model consists of five steps, namely (1) introduction, (2) planning, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The subjects of this study were 21 fifth-grade students of elementary schools 112/I. The re-sults of this study captured that the product was favored by most of the students with percentages of interest (72.73%), motivation (77.27%), and perception (63.6%).

This research aims to determine the positive and significant correlation between mathematics self-efficacy and motivation of elementary school students, using the correlation method. This type of research is quantitative. The population of this research was all fifth grade students of Elementary School in Cluster I of Marpoyan Damai District in Pekanbaru, which totaled 705 students. The research sample consisted of 183 students who were selected using cluster techniques. Data collection was carried out using a mathematics self-efficacy questionnaire and a motivation questionnaire and documentation. To test the hypothesis using the product moment correlation test and t test. The results showed that: (1) There was a positive correlation between mathematics self-efficacy and motivation of fifth grade elementary school students in cluster I Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru District, indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.353 with a fairly strong relationship category, 2) There was a significant correlation between mathematics self-efficacy and motivation of fifth grade elementary school students in cluster I Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru, as seen from the tcount = 5.078, greater than ttable = 1.653, at a significance of 5%. The contribution made mathematics self-efficacy to motivation is equal to 12.5%.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan metakognisi siswa SD dalam pemecahan masalah berdasarkan disposisi matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksploratif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa kelas V yang masing-masing memiliki disposisi matematis rendah, disposisi matematis sedang, dan disposisi matematis tinggi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket/kuisioner, Tes Kemampuan Metakognisi (TKM), pedoman wawancara, dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Milles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan trianggulasi teknik yaitu dengan cara mengambil data yang sama dengan teknik yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan disposisi matematis rendah kurang mampu merencanakan, memonitor, dan mengevaluasi. Subjek dengan disposisi matematis sedang mampu merencanakan, memonitor, dan mengevaluasi. Subjek dengan disposisi matematis tinggi sangat mampu merencanakan, memonitor, dan mengevaluasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah tingkan disposisi matematis siswa mempengaruhi kemampuan metakognisi siswa SD dalam pemecahan masalah. Kata kunci: metakognisi, pemecahan masalah, disposisi matematis.   ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to identify the metacognition abilities of elementary school students in problem solving based on mathematical dispositions. This research is a qualitative research with an explorative approach. The subjects in this study were 3 students from 5th grade with a low, medium, and high mathematical disposition. Questionnaire, Metacognition Ability Test (MAT), interview guidelines, and observation sheets are used in this study to get the data. Data analysis techniques used is the Milles and Huberman models, which are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The data validity is checkec by using technical transcription by taking the same data with different techniques. The results are subject with low mathematical dispositions is not able to plan, monitor, and evaluate. Subject with mathematical dispositions is able to plan, monitor, and evaluate. Subject with high mathematical dispositions is very capable in planning, monitoring, and evaluating. The conclusion of this study is student’s mathematical disposition affects the ability of elementary school students in problem solving. Keywords: metacognition, problem solving, mathematical dispositions.

This study aims to develop teaching materials based on ethno mathematics. A Research and Development (R&D) method as used in this research. Meanwhile, the research design of teaching materials developed using ADDIE included five stages, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility of this ethno mathematical-based teaching material refers to the results of the assessments of three experts, namely education expert, ethno mathematics expert, and mathematicians, as well as students’ responses. The students' responses used as a trial were made by fifth-grade students of SDN Negara Bumi, Central Sungkai Subdistrict. The results of this study indicate that the teaching materials developed based on ethno mathematics have met the standards of feasibility aspects which include validity, practicality, and effectiveness of teaching materials.

This study aimed to describe the quality of the paragraph and its development pattern in the essay writing of elementary school (Sekolah Dasar – SD) students in Jambi City (Kota Jambi – KJ) (SD-KJ). This study utilized a "quantitative descriptive" design. The population was all essays written by the fifth-grade students of SD-KJ. The sample of this research was 35 paragraphs from the essay writing of the fifth-grade students of SD-KJ. The data analysis steps were searching for frequency distribution of paragraph quality and development pattern; grouping the paragraph frequency distribution according to their quality; counting the percentage of each paragraph quality and type of development pattern; and presenting the results. Regarding to paragraph quality, the results are: (1) paragraph completeness, good (5.71%), poor (68.57%), and bad (25.70%); (2) paragraph unity, good (34.58%); poor (51.42%); and bad (14.28%); (3) paragraph order, good (28.57%); poor (51.42%); and bad (20%); and (4) paragraph coherence, good (54.28%); poor (34.28%); and bad (11.42%). Reffering to the implementation of the paragraph development pattern, the results are paragraph development pattern of comparison and contradiction: 20%, analogy: 5.71%, giving examples: 8.57%, cause and effect: 48.57%; general-specific or specific-general: 11.42%, and classification: 5.71%.

Tujuan penelitian ini difokuskan untuk menjawab rumusan masalah yaitu untuk (1) mendeskripsikan kebutuhan pengembangan model sinektik berbantuan media video dalam pembelajaran  menulis puisi pada peserta didik kelas V SD, (2) mendeskripsikan karakteristik model sinektik berbantuan media video dalam pembelajaran  menulis puisi yang dikembangkan pada peserta didik kelas V SD, (3) menguji kefeektifan model sinektik berbantuan media video dalam pembelajaran  menulis puisi pada peserta didik kelas V SD. Prosedur penelitian pengembangan dalam penelitian ini menurut Borg & Gall. Hasil penilaian validator terhadap model sinektik berbantuan media video mendapatkan persentase 79,29% yang berada dalam kriteria valid (dapat digunakan dengan revisi). Hasil penilaian uji keefektifan menunjukan bahwa 95% peserta didik sudah tuntas dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi, dan hasil uji t menunjukan Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0.000 yang menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa model sinektik berbantuan media video efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi pada peserta didik kelas V SD. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dikembangkan oleh peneliti selanjutnya sehingga dapat memperbaiki kekurangan-kekurangan yang ada dalam penelitian ini.   The purpose of this study was focused to answer the problem formulation is to (1) describe the need for the development of media-aided models sinektik video in learning to write poetry in the fifth grade elementary school students, (2) describe the characteristics of video media-aided sinektik models in learning to write poetry that developed in the participants elementary fifth grade students, (3) test the effectiveness of media-aided sinektik models video in learning to write poetry in the fifth grade elementary school students. Development of research procedures in the study by Borg & Gall into seven steps. Assessment results for the model validator sinektik aided video media gets a percentage 79.29%, which is in the valid criteria (can be used with revisions). Test the effectiveness of the assessment results indicate that 95% of learners have been completed in learning to write poetry, and the t test results showed Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 which shows that there are significant differences between pretest and posttest results. Based on the research that has been done can be concluded that the model sinektik aided video media effectively used in learning to write poetry in the fifth grade elementary school students.   أن تركيز الغرض من هذا البحي هو للردود على صياغة المشكلة هو (1) وصف الحاجة إلى تطوير وسائل الإعلام بمساعدة سينكتيك بوسيلة الفيديو في تعلم كتابة الشعر في الصف الخامس لطلاب المدارس الابتدائية، (2) وصف خصائص (سينكتيك) بمساعدة وسائل الإعلام في تعلم كتابة الشعر الذي يتطور في المشاركين في الصف الخامس الابتدائي (3) اختبار فعالية سينكتيك وسائل الإعلام بمساعدة الفيديو في تعلم الكتابة الشعر في الصف الخامس طلاب المدارس الابتدائية. ويكون إجراءات هذا البحث على دراسة بورغ آند غال إلى سبع خطوات. نتائج التقييم للالمصادقة نموذج سينكتيك وسائل الإعلام بمساعدة الفيديو يحصل على نسبة 79.29٪، وهو في معايير صالحة (يمكن استخدامها مع المراجعات). اختبار فعالية نتائج التقييم تشير إلى أن 95٪ من المتعلمين قد اكتملت في تعلم كتابة الشعر، وأظهرت نتائج الاختبار t أسيمب. سيج. (2-تايلد) هو 0.000 مما يدل على وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين نتائج الاختبار القبلي والبعدي. وبناء على البحث الذي تم القيام به يمكن استنتاج أن نموذج سينكتيك ساعدت وسائل الإعلام الفيديو المستخدمة بشكل فعال في تعلم كتابة الشعر في الصف الخامس طلاب المدارس الابتدائية.

Based on the results of preliminary observations at SDN Gedongombo III obtained data that from twenty-seven of students, who achieved mastery learning on the material structure of the earth and the sun there were seventeen of students. One reason is the selection of media that is not appropriate when learning takes place. The selection of the right learning media can stimulate students to be enthusiastic in learning, so that learning outcomes can increase. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of effectiveness of earth and sun structure papercraft media on science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Gedongombo III Elementary School Semanding Tuban. The research method used was an experimental method with quasi-experimental research. The design used in this study is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted on the fifth grade students of Gedongombo III elementary school, amounting to 27 students. The instrument in this study is a test sheet of student learning outcomes of of fifth grade students material on earth and sun structure. The results showed that there were differences in the average learning outcomes of elementary school students before and after using the paper and earth structure media of the sun with a value of t = -9.144 and p = 0,000. The average learning outcomes of elementary school students after using paper and earth structure media papercraft is higher than the average student learning outcomes before using paper and earth structure media suncraft. This study also proves that the media papercraft of the earth and sun structures have a moderate level of effectiveness for fifth grade students of Gedongombo III Elementary School in Semanding Tuban.

Health problems that often occur in elementary school age children are diseases related to personal hygiene / personal hygiene and the environment such as good and correct brushing, hand washing habits with soap, and personal hygiene. Diseases that often arise are diarrhea, helminthiasis, toothache and so on. The problem with partners faced today is that there are still many elementary school students who do not understand the importance of personal hygiene. The purpose of Community Service provides an understanding of the importance of personal hygiene in elementary school students. Community service activities have been carried out in May-June 2017 to fifth grade students of SDN 206 with a total of 86 students. The service method uses survey, lecture, discussion and simulation approaches. The results obtained are all students of class V understand about Personal Hygiena and want to apply in everyday life. It is recommended to the school especially UKS officers and class teachers to always provide motivation, monitor elementary school students in increasing knowledge and implementing personal hygiene so that students can avoid disease
