The main objective of this study is to examine the importance of work environment during students’ practical training toward students’ career intention in the hospitality industry. This study uses a quantitative method through the distribution of self-administrated questionnaire surveys. Convenience sampling was selected from 159 culinary arts students at UiTM Cawangan Terengganu Kampus Dungun (UiTMCTKD). This sampling design was selected due to its high efficiency. The students had completed their practical training 2 weeks prior to data collection. Descriptive and inferential analyses were used to interpret the data. Findings from this study revealed that work environment influences students’ career intention toward pursuing employment in the hospitality industry after graduation.   Keywords: Work Environment, Culinary, Career Intention, Practical Training, Hospitality Industry

Malaysia has recorded the second highest involuntary turnover rate at 6% and third highest voluntary rate at 6.5% in South East Asia. Employee loyalty becomes critical towards employer. Thus, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between career development, compensation, job security, work environment and employee loyalty. In conducting this study, convenience sampling technique has been employed and respondents have been chosen in the area of Kuala Lumpur. Hypothesis were tested using regression analysis by using Smart-PLS. Based on the result, career development, compensation and job security were found to be significant with employee loyalty. However, work environment was found to be not significant with employee loyalty. It is suggested for future research to explore other variables in order to find the factors contributed in employee loyalty. In the article, the current state of cooperation between Canadian Ukrainians and Ukrainian doctors analyzes. The urgency of modern challenges for cooperation is determined, in particular: pandemic restrictions due to the rapid spread of Covid-19 virus and a sharp restriction of direct professional contacts; the politicization of professional international cooperation in the conditions of Russian aggression; bureaucracy on the part of the management of medical institutions of Ukraine, unfinished state regulation of charitable organizations and international cooperation; insufficient development of charity in Ukraine. The activity of the main Cooperation programs between doctors Canadian Ukrainians and Ukrainian doctors is analyzed. The main focus of the article is on the analysis of the effectiveness of the Canadian-Ukrainian Pediatric Fellowship Program. The Medical Director of the Program is Professor James Rutka, and the Program Coordinator is Professor Myroslava Romach. The stages of organizing training meetings within the Program are indicated: planning and preparation for the meeting (goal setting and detailed planning); choice of locations, according to pre-thought-out criteria; the meeting itself (lectures and practical training, joint operations in 7 cities of Ukraine); further observation, assessment of the impact and results of the meeting, as well as planning of long-term cooperation. Analysis of the concrete results of cooperation is one of the most important stages of international cooperation, as it not only increases its efficiency but also ensures the targeted use of funds. It is determined that important factors that increase the effectiveness of interstate programs in the field of medicine are awareness of cooperation at the diplomatic level, coordinated cooperation at the local level, selection of reliable partners for cooperation, systematic contacts, activities, targeted, premeditated assistance, careful selection of applicants, changes in the means of communication in today's challenges. The work of the above-mentioned medical Ukraine Paediatric Fellowship Program can serve as an example of the organization of international cooperation in various directions of social and political life of modern Ukraine, and a guarantee of its high efficiency in clear strategic planning.

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the influence of money ethic, intrinsic and extrinsic religionsity against tax evasion. In addition to test and analyze the effects of intrinsic and extrinsic religionsity as moderating the relationship between money ethics against tax evasion. The theory rooted in selfishness that tax evasion action is not considered a violation because the act of self is not an ethics violation. While different views in the Theory of Ethics Teonom that, tax evasion is an act of abuse of religion because religion is recommended to give us what we have to help others poeple. Metode study is a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 113 individual taxpayers at the Tax Office in Semarang. The sampling technique used is convenience sampling. While data analysis technique used in this research is regression test moderation absolute difference using SPSS. The results showed that money ethics and intrinsic religionsity influence on tax evasion, while the extrinsic religionsity no effect on tax evasion. While variable intrinsic religionsity in this study proved to be moderate the relationship money ethics against tax evasion. But diferrent result showed extrinsic religionsty not moderate the relationship money ethics against tax evasion

Hospitality industry plays a main role and has become a major sector in Malaysia’s economy. However, there are some challenges in the hospitality industry such as employee turnover which could have various consequences to organizations. The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors affecting employee turnover intention, either directly or indirectly. Previous studies have suggested that employee turnover intention could be affected by factors such as leadership, motivation, communication, work environment and infrastructure both directly and indirectly. Employee innovation and creativity as a mediating factor could also affect its relationship with turnover intention of employees. The research design for this study was quantitative research method using questionnaires as the data collection method. Purposive sampling was used to sample 152 hotel employees within the West of Malaysia. Structural Equation Modelling was used to analyze the data using SmartPLS software. Results indicated that leadership, motivation, communication, and work environment and infrastructure had significant relationship with employee innovation and creativity. Apart from that, leadership, motivation and communication also have significant relationship with the employee turnover intention. Turnover is a major issue within companies not only for the company’s sustainability, but also for the health and wellbeing of their employees. As an implication, organizations should understand that their leadership characteristic and environment has a tremendous impact to burnout and employee performance.

This research aims to determine the immigration office services providing services to the community and how much influence the quality of immigration office services on the level of community satisfaction. This research uses a descriptive quantitative method. The population in this research amounted to 21613 people. While sampling uses the Slovin formula with convenience sampling technique so that a sample of 100 people is obtained. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires and literature studies. The results of this research are that the service at the Bengkalis Immigration Office has been well fulfilled based on the determination of the central government. Then the service quality of Bengkalis Immigration Office has a significant effect on the level of community satisfaction with a percentage of influence of 68.6% and the remaining 31.4% is influenced by other variables.

In recent times, the unemployment rate has been reported increasing as year passes as well as the nation’s economy been fluctuating (Department of Statistics Malaysia, 2016). Besides that, from the survey, it has been noted that students that eager to step into entrepreneurship field were insufficient to cope up with nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Therefore, the main objective of the research is to determine the number of logistics students possesses entrepreneurship personality. In addition, to identify whether the program offered could shift the mindset of logistics students become an entrepreneur as well as to provide suggestion to UMK in order to sustain the logistics program, survey was done in Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) City Campus, where 123 respondents were chosen out of 180 fourth year logistics students referring to Krejcie and Morgan table. Convenience sampling has been used to determine the sample size. The data was collected using a quantitative method where the questionnaires were designed using Holland Test Occupational Theme Model. Descriptive analyses were conducted to analyze the data obtained. From the finding, it’s proven that majority of logistics students are interested in becoming an entrepreneur as well as the entrepreneurial education offered by UMK is fitted in instilling plus producing more entrepreneur undergraduates especially in Logistics and Distributive Trade program.

Background: The reform of the Spanish higher education studies from the Bologna Declaration did not entail the necessary changes in the teaching methodologies used. The clinical preceptor emerged as the main guiding professional in the practical training of nursing students. The aim of this qualitative study was to understand fourth-year nursing students’ and newly qualified nurses’ (NQNs) perception on their lecturers’ and clinical preceptors’ effectiveness. Methods: Exploratory, descriptive qualitative study was carried out at a Spanish University. By convenience sampling and according to defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, twelve newly qualified nurses and twelve fourth-year students of the Degree in Nursing were included in order to contrast the results. A thematic analysis of data was carried out, to later be coded by two researchers. Results: Two main themes were identified: the good lecturer and the good clinical preceptor, with several subthemes in each. These included the characteristics that both should have, both in teaching, nursing and interpersonal-relation skills. Conclusions: The need of preceptorship training programs has been highlighted in our context. Educators all over the world should be properly qualified in order to train and educate competent nurses for the future.

Emotional intelligence is the most significant concept used in the present scenario of the work environment towards the job satisfaction. Nowadays, Emotional intelligence is used as a tool for measuring the organization’s performance and also playing a key role in stress management and job satisfaction of employees. Job dissatisfaction results in higher absenteeism, lower productivity, defensive behavior and lower performance. The study was organized on the employees’ of HDFC banks, working in Chandigarh Tricity to analyze the impact of emotional intelligence and gender on job satisfaction. A descriptive correlational research was conducted, by taking the population of all the employees of HDFC Banks, Chandigarh Tricity. Convenience sampling method was used to select the sample of the study which included 100 respondents from various branches of HDFC banks in Chandigarh Tricity. The inferences of the study were made with the help of statistical tools such as Karl Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient, Regression analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. In the study, it has been observed that both emotional intelligence and job satisfaction has a positive relationship. It also indicates that Gender has no significant impact on these variables.

The introduction of modern innovative training technologies in the training of highly skilled specialists involves a significant expansion and increase of the significance of cognitive activity in the educational process of each student, and in particular his individual activity during the implementation of a laboratory practice on the course of general physics, including the study of the section "Quantum Physics". Our scientific researches convincingly prove the expediency of widespread use of computer-oriented means for the purpose of development of independent activity of students in physics and in their high efficiency in solving the problem of integration of the real and virtual experiment from the given section. For this purpose, our computer-oriented training tools and corresponding software products take into account the obligatory availability of successive modules that provide the multifunctionality of the proposed training kit for the physical workshop and practical training tasks from the corresponding section as autonomously (independently of others), for example and integrated with other modules. The isolated modules, on the one hand, are consistent with the types of educational activity of the student, and on the other hand, they contribute to the purposeful management of research work during the physical practice and thus are an important factor in the organization and management of the student's independent work. Such a technique allows the student to attain a sufficiently high level of understanding of each module and, accordingly, at the appropriate level, to master laboratory research on quantum physics, where the subject of study can be presented real or virtual, which simultaneously enhances the professional expertise of future physics teachers and professionals whose activities are " with physics, and also improves the efficiency of independent work of a future specialist.

The chef profession is considered a challenging career, with female chefs seeming to be most affected. As such, it is rare to find female chefs occupying the coveted executive chef positions. The aim of this research was to establish if female chefs in Kenya encounter similar challenges to those experienced by female chefs elsewhere. Previous research shows that female chefs encounter career challenges in hospitality organisations and hence they struggle to make it as chefs; for example, studies by Druckman [1] and Harris and Giuffre [2,3] in the United States, Murray-Gibbons and Gibbons [4] in the United Kingdom, as well as Zengeni et al. [5] in Zimbabwe. This article poses the important question: how can these challenges be overcome? The study sought to make sense of the lived work experiences of Kenyan female chefs. Baum [6] recommends contextualised research methodologies to explore hospitality issues in non-Western countries. Moreover, Adelowo [7] asserts that lived experiences are better expressed through stories. Therefore, a qualitative approach was employed in this study where 15 chefs working in the Kenyan hospitality industry were interviewed [8]. Ten female chefs told stories of their workplace experiences while five male executive chefs recounted their experiences of working with female chefs. Despite the different geographical, socio-cultural and economic factors between Kenya and other countries previously studied, female chefs expressed common challenges such as sexual harassment, gender discrimination, unsupportive attitudes towards pregnancy and an unhealthy work environment, as well as hierarchical kitchen structures that they believed discriminated against them. There was an indication of engrained patriarchal attitudes that limit the professional success of potential female chefs. Unfortunately, hospitality employers appeared to support the status quo; that is, a gendering of the chef’s profession that privileges men and penalises women. These findings suggest a trend that must worry hospitality employers. The highly competitive career structures and the male domination that discourages women from making a long-term career in the kitchen [2], coupled with stiff competition for scarce hospitality human resources, support the need to retain female chefs. Christensen and Rog [9] stress that employee retention strategies will only work if human resource managers are fully committed to creating a positive workplace culture that treats all employees equally, regardless of their gender or any other dimension of diversity. In his study, Orido [8] suggests that the following measures may help to attract and retain female chefs. Firstly, employers should introduce personalised career development plans. For instance, a female chef who has attained postgraduate qualifications ought to be promoted and remunerated accordingly. This will not only retain female chefs but also enable them to further their career aspirations within the hospitality industry. Secondly, female chefs should be given the opportunity to fully participate at all levels of the kitchen hierarchy, thereby acquiring the necessary skills for promotion in the future to executive chef’s positions. Additionally, it will encourage a clear career progression path within the kitchen hierarchy. Hospitality employers must ensure that employment opportunities as well as employment terms and career progression are not dependant on a chef’s gender, but on their qualifications and competencies. By investing in female chefs and, most importantly, keeping them safe from bullying at work, the hospitality industry will not only attract, but retain, these talented professionals in satisfying culinary careers.
