Islamic boarding school or pesantren is often only considered as a conservative Islamic educational institution. In fact, Pesantren has the number of interesting aspects to be deeply apart from studying the religion. As an institution, it involves many parties. The study aims to describe the economic map of Pesantren in Pekalongan region. This research is categorized as a field research using survey. The primary data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations of the 25 Pesantren in Pekalongan region. The validation of data is done through triangulation of data and sources. Pesantren which became the object of this research are Pesantren which had established for at least three years and had a business unit. Based on the description of the research's findings and discussion, it was concluded that almost all Pesantren in Pekalongan region have a business unit. The existing business unit, mostly engaged in trade. The businesses itself is oriented to meet the internal needs of religious school, especially students. Pesantren has the role in determining every type of business unit and corporate governance run by the religious schools. The governance/management of the business unit was run in a simple, not follow the rules of modern business management yet. However, Pesantren have involved students in business management. The operations results of this business unit at least have contributed in boarding operations.

This article aims to determine the Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School's efforts in shaping the entrepreneurial spirit of the santri? Second, how is the development of Amidas Gontor Mineral Water in the perspective of Islamic Business Ethics? This article using field research (field research), the method used in this study using a qualitative approach, namely the author obtains data directly from sources from teachers/managers and students of the Darrusalam Gontor Islamic boarding school, Ponorogo. Research results 1) The Darussalam Gontor modern cottage's efforts in shaping the entrepreneurial spirit of the Santri, which are taught, have five characteristics, namely: confidence is cultivated to the students, by giving confidence in carrying out the production of Amidas Gontor brand mineral water—having continuous and innovative initiatives, in developing the business unit it holds and having achievement motives, which can provide the students with provisions to apply what they have learned after becoming alumni regarding entrepreneurship. The spirit of leadership, where the alumni who serve are entrusted to manage Amidas Gontor. Dare to take calculated risks, introduce the entrepreneurial results of the santri, events and expos are often held in the cottage, apart from the students, caretakers, guardians of Santri, and the wider community. 2) Development of Gontor Amidas mineral water in the perspective of Islamic business ethics principles; Unity/State; Obedience to worship is a belief in the existence of one God. Balance (Justice); evenly distributed. Free Will, done verbally for the Ponorogo area, the outer island area is done through an online application. The Pondok Gontor party is responsible for compensating for damage to the Ponorogo area outside the island. 3) Virtue: Truth and Honesty. Honest and true in establishing partnerships with agents, shops, distributors, retailers of mineral water Amidas.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya Pondok Pesantren Modern Darussalam Gontor dalam membentuk jiwa wirausaha santri? Kedua, Bagaimana Pengembangan Air Mineral Amidas Gontor Dalam Perspektif Etika Bisnis Syariah? Artikel ini menggunakan penelitian lapangan (field research), metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, yaitu penulis memperoleh data langsung dari narasumber dari guru/pengelola dan santri pondok pesantren Darrusalam Gontor Ponorogo. Hasil Penelitian 1) Upaya Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor dalam membentuk jiwa wirausaha santri yang diajarkan memiliki lima ciri, yaitu: menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri kepada santri, dengan memberikan rasa percaya diri dalam melaksanakan produksi air mineral merk Amidas Gontor. —memiliki inisiatif yang berkesinambungan dan inovatif, dalam mengembangkan unit bisnis yang dimilikinya dan memiliki motif berprestasi, yang dapat membekali mahasiswa dengan bekal untuk menerapkan apa yang telah dipelajarinya setelah menjadi alumni tentang kewirausahaan. Semangat kepemimpinan, dimana para alumni yang mengabdi dipercayakan untuk mengelola Amidas Gontor. Berani mengambil resiko yang diperhitungkan, memperkenalkan hasil wirausaha para santri, event dan expo sering diadakan di pondok, selain para santri, pengasuh, wali santri, dan masyarakat luas. 2) Pengembangan air mineral Gontor Amidas dalam perspektif prinsip etika bisnis Islam; Persatuan/Negara; Ketaatan untuk beribadah adalah keyakinan akan adanya satu Tuhan. Keseimbangan (Keadilan); didistribusikan secara merata. Kehendak Bebas, dilakukan secara lisan untuk wilayah Ponorogo, wilayah pulau terluar dilakukan melalui aplikasi online. Pihak Pondok Gontor bertanggung jawab untuk mengganti kerugian daerah Ponorogo di luar pulau. 3) Kebajikan: Kebenaran dan Kejujuran. Jujur dan benar dalam menjalin kemitraan dengan agen, toko, distributor, pengecer air mineral Amidas.

Islamic boarding schools as a means of regeneration in the development of da'wah. Islamic boarding school is an educational institution that transforms the value of education and example every second and minute and every time from a kyai to his students. Researchers are interested in choosing this topic because no one has conducted research with the same title. It is hoped that the benefits of the research will be of assistance to the pesantren pindok caregivers as well as for prospective da'i who wish to further deepen various dakwah sciences. The reason other researchers are not interested in this title is that they consider Islamic boarding schools as a means of regeneration in the development of da'wah to be ineffective and not optimal. Apart from this research, the writer tries to find a formula for what is done by the Islamic boarding schools to regenerate candidates and those who have become da'i, forged to become qualified da'i. This research was conducted using field research (field research) and qualitative analysis. Therefore, the data collected in this study is in the form of information in the form of descriptions. Qualitative analysis is considered more appropriate in this study, because this analysis is expected to make it more possible to develop this research in order to gain a deeper understanding. Research findings of Islamic boarding schools have a function as a da'wah institution, have elements and systems that are ideal in producing da'i cadres who have broad knowledge and character. Conclusion of the study, Islamic boarding school as a means of regeneration that prepares the next generation of Islam, through the provision of knowledge (leadership, management and insight) in stages and careful planning. The implication of this research is that the cadre model in the development of da'wah in Islamic boarding schools which is deliberately designed in such a way, it is certain that the da'i cadres can develop the knowledge they have and are ready to preach Islamic values ​​wherever they are.

This research is motivated by the diversity of Indonesia's multicultural, ethnic and religious communities, as well as multiculturalism. Islamic education that touches on the aspect of morality is Islamic boarding schools. Islamic boarding schools are institutions that istiqamah still maintain the tradition of peace, balance and harmony and continue to develop the principle s of ukhuwahIslamiyah, wathaniyah, and basyariyah in an effort to strengthen the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). This type of research is qualitative phenomenological field research. The data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. While the technique of collecting data through {a} observation, {b} interview, and {c} documentation. To test the credibility of the data the author uses the data source triangulation technique. Then the data analysis is carried out at the beginning of the research to the conclusion. From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that: first, the principle of planting multicultural education in the Ngalah Islamic boarding school is rahmatanlil’alamin {protector for all circles}. Second, the implementation of planting multicultural education in the Islamic boarding school Ngalahala NU which includes 3 morals, namely Wathaniyah {Polite towards the State}, Insaniyah {Compassionate towards fellow human beings}, and Islamiyah {polite to fellow Muslims} and cling to the Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution , through habituation of attitudes, among others: a) Religious (religious), b) Humanist (humanity), c) Nationalist, d) democracye)tolerance with exemplary media caregiver, orientation of new santri, ta'lim ad diniyah, dormitory life, stage art and halaqoh. It was proven by the enthusiasm and istiqomah attitude of the santri in participating in the pesantren activities that had been scheduled starting daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.

 Entrepreneurship development management in boarding schools is a form of economic independence boarding schools. Islamic Boarding School is an educational institution that has the function of printing human resources as a whole, has expertise in religious knowledge, general science, and entrepreneurship as an effort to equip students with the skills to face the challenges of the times. The development of entrepreneurship at the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school is an actualization of the role of the Islamic boarding school as an independent institution and a printer of superior human resources. The issue that will be examined is how the management of entrepreneurship development in the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school in Malang, as well as several supporting and inhibiting factors in entrepreneurship development in the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school.This research is a case study with qualitative descriptive research. Data obtained from research subjects such as caregivers, business unit heads, board administrators and students managing business units Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data condensation, data presentation and then drawing conclusions by paying attention to findings in the field with theory.Based on the research that has been done, the results show that, first, entrepreneurial development management in Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school through four management functions (1) Development planning, (2) Organizing, (3) Implementation, and (4) Supervision. Second, supporting factors for entrepreneurship development at Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school are (1) caregiver support, (2) entrepreneurship curriculum, (3) assistance from academics, and (5) adequate infrastructure. The inhibiting factors are (1) there is no structure of the business unit, (2) funding constraints, and (3) the relatively short time allocation of entrepreneurship development

This research was conducted to search the meaning of traditional Islamic boarding schools in Seberang Kota Jambi as an existence legacy of religious traditional institutions in Jambi Malay modern world. The boarding school were slow adapt the modern developments and considered as an educational institution “conservative” who only teach “sky” science by forgetting his footing on the earth. The author tries to conduct a research to determine how the response of a salafiyah Islamic boarding school named al-Mubarok al-Islam toward social change, and how its success. Through a field research and descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of research include: <em>First</em>, al-Mubarok al-Islam salafiyah Islamic boarding schools has been growing and has a formal structure that can accommodate all aspects of the pesantren. <em>Second</em>, al-Mubarok al-Islam salafiyah Islamic boarding schools began to provide an opportunity for its students to be able to follow modern world by facilitating them in the national exam and have a certificate in general that can be used in the workplace in general. <em>Third</em>, al-Mubarok al-Islam salafiyah Islamic boarding schools provides the opportunity for students to be able to learn information communication technology nowadays.

Islamic Boarding Schools are the forerunner of Islamic education institutions in Indonesia. The initial attendance of Islamic boarding schools was estimated from 300-400 years ago and reached almost all levels of the Indonesian Muslim community, especially in Java. After Indonesia's independence, especially since the transition to the New Order and when economic growth really increased sharply, Islamic boarding school education became more structured and the pesantren curriculum became better. For example, in addition to the religious curriculum, pesantren also offer general lessons using a dual curriculum, mone curriculum and Ministry of Religion curriculum. As an educational institution, pesantren are very concerned about the field of religion (tafaqquh fi al-din) and the formation of national character characterized by morality. The provisions of religious education are explained in the National Education Law Article 30 paragraph (4) that religious education is in the form of diniyah education, pesantren, and other similar forms. The existence of Islamic boarding schools is an ideal partner for government institutions to jointly improve the quality of education and the foundation of national character. This can be found from various phenomena that occur, such as fights between schools and distributors that are widespread and drug users among young people are rarely found they are boarding children or graduates of boarding schools.

<p>The purpose of this research is to know deeply about social network of kinship tradition or Trah in Madurese tradition which is defined as "toronan / na’ poto" in which written sequence lineage from a family on kiyai kinship tradition in Madura. Islamic boarding school in Madura average there is still linkage of genealogy or Trah from other islamic boarding school families.<br />The kiyai kinship tradition in some Islamic boarding schools in Madura is closely related to the past of their founders or ancestors who were called "old kiyai" founders of the first Islamic boarding school. The elderly chaplain or founder of islamic boarding school who deliberately matches his grandchildren to another islamic boarding school who is still one family / one of the closest family kiyai is as elderly as the child of his sister, the son of his uncle etc. thus giving birth to new Trah that grow and develop to this day. The method used in this research is Field Research, ie field research conducted in order to collect primary data in the field by using observation, interview and documentation.  الملخصاجتذبت ظاهرة المساواة بين الجنسين في إندونيسيا في الآونة الأخيرة اهتمام الجمهور ، على الصعد المحلي والإقليمي والوطني والدولي. أصبح هذا الخطاب خطابًا يعتبر حاسمًا في النظام الاجتماعي. بعض المجموعات المؤيدة للمساواة بين الجنسين تسمى النسويات ، وبعضها يتصرف بشكل متواضع ولكن هناك أيضًا من يرفض هذا الخطاب ويواصل الكفاح من أجل المواقف الأبوية والمحافظة. ظاهرة مثيرة للاهتمام هي ظهور امرأة تحصل على غرفة قيادية في شبكة السلطة في مؤسسات التربية الإسلامية مثل المدارس الداخلية الإسلامية. يركز هذا البحث على قيادة المرأة في مؤسسة تعليمية إسلامية ، وخاصة في مدرسة نور المدينة الداخلية الإسلامية. وأظهرت النتائج أن مدرسة نور المدينة الإسلامية الداخلية كانت تقودها امرأة تُعرف باسم بو نياي. هو عنوان الاحترام الذي يمنحه المجتمع الاجتماعي للمرأة التي لديها معرفة في مجال الدين ، سواء الفهم الحرفي لآيات القرآن وكذلك القدرة على حفظ آياته المتقين وكذلك الفهم اللاهوتي القوي. هذا النوع من البحث هو بحث نوعي وصفي يحاول تحليل نطاق أوسع من موضوع الدراسة بحيث يحصل على فهم أشمل ، بينما النظرية المستخدمة هي النظرية النسوية وتدمجها مع الإسلام. في حين أن مصادر البيانات في هذه الدراسة هي بيانات أولية وثانوية. البيانات الأولية ، أجرى المؤلفون المقابلات والملاحظات المباشرة. البيانات الثانوية في شكل: مقالات وكتب تتعلق بمفهوم القيادة. تقنيات تحليل البيانات هي تقليل البيانات وعرض البيانات واستخلاص النتائج والتحقق.الكلمات المفتاحية: القيادة ، والجنس، واللاهوتية ، والاجتماعية والثقافية  AbstractThe phenomenon of gender equality in Indonesia in recent times has attracted public attention, both at the local, regional, national and international levels. This discourse has become a discourse that is considered crucial in the social system. An interesting phenomenon is the appearance of a woman who gets a leadership space in power networks in Islamic educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools. This research focuses on the leadership of women in an Islamic educational institution, especially in Nur Medina Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research which tries to parse a wider range of the object of study so that it gets a more comprehensive understanding, while the theory used is feminist theory and integrates it with Islam. While the data sources in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data, the authors conducted interviews and direct observations. Secondary data are in the form of: articles and books related to the concept of leadership. The data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results showed that the Nur Medina Islamic boarding school was led by a woman who was familiarly called Bu Nyai. A title of respect given by the social community to a woman who has knowledge in the realm of religion, both the literal understanding of the verses of the Koran as well as the ability to memorize His verses mutqin as well as strong theological understandingKeywords: Leadership, Gender, Theological, and Socio-Cultural. AbstrakFenomena kesetaraan gender di Indonesia dalam beberapa waktu terakhir telah menarik perhatian publik, baik di tingkat lokal, regional, nasional dan internasional. Wacana ini telah menjadi diskursus yang dianggap krusial dalam sistem sosial. Beberapa kalangan yang pro terhadap kesetaraan gender disebut kalangan feminisme, beberapa juga yang bersikap biasa-biasa saja tetapi ada juga kalangan yang menolak wacana tersebut dan tetap memerjuangkan sikap patriarkal dan konservatif. Fenomena yang menarik adalah dengan tampilnya seorang perempuan yang mendapatkan ruang pemimpin dalam jejaring kekuasaan di lembaga pendidikan Islam seperti di Pondok Pesantren. Penelitian ini memokuskan pada kepemimpinan perempuan dalam sebuah lembaga pendidikan Islam khususnya di Pondok Pesantren Nur Medina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ponpes Nur Medina dipimpin oleh seorang perempuan yang akrab disapa Bu Nyai. Sebuah gelar penghormatan yang diberikan oleh masyarakat sosial kepada seorang perempuan yang memiliki keilmuan dalam ranah agama, baik pemahaman terhadap literal ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an juga kemampuan menghafal ayat-ayat-Nya secara mutqin serta paham teologis yang begitu kuat. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang mencoba mengurai lebih luas objek kajian sehingga mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif, sedangkan teori yang digunakan adalah teori feminis dan mengintegrasikannya dengan Islam. Sedangkan sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu data primer dan sekunder. Data primer, penulis melakukan wawancara dan observasi lansung. Data sekunder berupa: artikel dan buku yang berkaitan dengan konsep kepemimpinan. Adapun teknik analisa data dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi.Kata kunci: Kepemimpinan, Gender, Teologis, dan Sosial-Kultural

The Amanatul Ummah Islamic Boarding School is an educational institution for Islamic boarding schools located at the foot of Mount Welirang, and has several institutions, including superior MTS, superior MA, and Superior Universities. The formulation of the research problem is how the leadership style is applied by Kiai and what forms of motivation are applied to employees at the Amanatul Ummah Islamic Boarding School. With this type of field research (field research) qualitative, with research subjects are Kiai, employees and partners, data collection by observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis used according to Miles Huberman consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing, using data validity techniques, triangulation of data sources and triangulation of data collection, so that the resulting data is accurate. From the results of this study, Kiai Pondok Pesantren Amantul Ummah does not only apply one leadership style but also applies a different leadership style. The leadership style applied is dominant with authoritarian leadership, although on the other hand he also applies charismatic leadership. This is reinforced by the leadership function implemented by the Kiai Pondok Pesantren Amanatul Ummah. And the forms of motivation given by Kiai are establishing good personal relationships with employees and work partners, paying attention to employee welfare, giving rewards to employees who excel, gathering and evaluating together with employees.
