Character education is a necessity because education does not only make students smarter, but also has to have character and manners so that its existence as a member of society becomes meaningful to itself. Ages 5-6 years need to be introduced about values about good and bad, right and wrong from an early age. This is expected so that what has been introduced to children from an early age can be embedded and attached until the child grows and develops in the next stage. The form of teaching in forming a good person is one of them with character education. Character education needs to be optimized. One way to optimize character education is through role playing centers. This study aims to optimize character education in early childhood through role playing centers. Data is collected through observation, field notes, interviews, and documentation. This research is a type of classroom action research. This research was carried out collaboratively between principals, class teachers and researchers. The action aims to improve the character values of children through role play centers. Research activities include: planning, implementing, collecting data and analyzing information data. This research was conducted at an early childhood education institution at PAUD Lab School Ikip Pgri Jember. The results of the study found that role playing centers can be used as an effort to optimize character education for early childhood through: Habitual understanding of behavior in role playing, The emergence of Self Awareness in Children in Role Playing, Understanding of Dialogues about Character Values.

  Character education is considered very important to instill in children from an early age. Given the importance of forming these character values, character education can be developed by teachers by implementing character education through role playing methods. The formulation of the problem that the researchers proposed was how to implement character education for early childhood through the role playing method aged 5-6 years in An-Nahl Bandar Lampung Kindergarten. The purpose of this study was to find out about how the implementation of character education through the method of playing the role of early childhood in An-Nahl Bandar Lampung Kindergarten.This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach involving 1 teacher and the number of 14 children while the object of the research is the implementation of early childhood character education through role playing methods aged 5-6 years at An-Nahl Bandar Lampung Kindergarten, data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.The results of the study show that the implementation of character education through role playing methods is as follows with the steps: (1) The Teacher Gathered the Children to Give Direction and Rules of the Play, (2) The teacher discusses the Tools that Will Be Used by Children to Play, (3 ) The Teacher Shares the Assignment to Children Before Playing According to Groups To Not Fight, (4) Teachers Gather Children To Be Guided, Give Rules In Games, Accompany And Calculate Children, (5) Educators Only Watch Or Accompany Children In Role Playing, (6 ) Children Play As They Are, Children Can Switch When Bored. Based on the results of the study that the development of the character education of children who have not yet developed (0), began to develop (5), developed according to expectations (6), developed very well (3). This research describes how the teacher processes in implementing child character education and can be used as an alternative source in the process of implementing character education for early childhood.

<p>One of the important parts relating to education for children is teaching da’wah since their early age, so that it becomes a habit for their life till they reach adulthood. Da'wah  is regarded as a good process of education and  it really should refer to the Islamic values which is implemented to children since early age. If this education process can run well, it would generate younger generations who have strong commitment. Introducing da’wah in early childhood requires extra patience to understand the child's condition; like the pra-formal operational stage of cognitive growth process, so that it requires easily understandable methods for children in its implementation.  There are some methods to introduce da’wah for children; namely singing, role model, role playing, field trips, poetry, and speeches.</p><p align="center"><strong>***</strong></p><p>Salah satu bagian penting yang harus mendapatkan perhatian terkait dengan pendidikan yang diberikan sejak usia dini adalah mengajarkan dakwah pada anak sejak dini, sehingga  dakwah sudah menjadi kebiasaan dan menjadi bagian hidup anak ketika dewasa. Dakwah dipandang sebagai proses pendidikan yang baik dan benar-benar harus mengacu pada nilai-nilai Islam yang diterapkan sedini mungkin kepada anak-anak. Apabila proses tersebut dapat berjalan dengan baik, maka akan  muncul generasi muda yang memiliki komitmen yang kuat. Untuk mengenalkan dakwah pada anak usia dini membutuhkan kesabaran yang ekstra dengan memahami kondisi anak misalnya proses pertumbuhan kognitifnya yang masih dalam tahap pra operasional formal, sehingga membutuhkan metode dalam aplikasinya yang mudah difahami anak. Metode dalam mengenalkan dakwah pada anak melalui bernyanyi, tauladan, bermain peran, karya wisata, bersyair, dan berpidato.</p>

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan interpersonal anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Barunawati Kota Ternate dan seberapa besar peningkatan kecerdasan inter-personal anak usia 5-6 tahun dengan menggunakan metode bermain peran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam II siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak didik kelompok B di TK Barunawati Kota Ternate yang berjumlah 25 orang. Kolabolator dalam penelitian adalah guru kelas B, sebagai pelaksana tindakan, peneliti sebagai observer dan guru pendamping sebagai pembantu observer. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Observasi meliputi proses pembelajaran sosial emosional dan kecerdasan interpersonal anak. Catatan lapangan digunakan untuk melihat permasalahan yang dihadapi selama pembelajaran. Dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data yang berbentuk foto. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif sederhana. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan interpersonal anak usia dini dapat ditingkatkan melalui metode bermain peran. Peningkatan tersebut sebesar 76%.Kata Kunci: metode bermain peran (role playing), kecerdasan interpersonal, anak usia dini. The Implementation of Role Playing Method to Improve Interpersonal Intelligence of Children Aged 5-6 Years in Kindergarten Barunawati AbstractThe study aims to increase interpersonal intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Barunawati Ternate City and how much the increase in interpersonal intelligence of children aged 5-6 years using role playing methods. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects in this study are students in kindergarten group B Barunawati Ternate City amounting to 25 people. The collaborators in this research were the B-grade teachers acting as the executor, while the researcher was an observer and as a teacher assistant in the observation. The data were collected through observation, notes field and documentation. Observations included the process of learning social emotional and childrens interpersonal intelligence. Field notes were used to see the problems faced during the learning. Documentation used to obtain data in the form of photos. The data analysis techniques used simple descriptive statistics. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of this study shows that early childhood interpersonal intelligence can be improved through the role playing methods. This study aims at describing and analyzing the internalization of national awareness through raudlotul athfal (RA; an Islamic early childhood education institution) with the spirit of Aswaja an-Nahdliyah. Aswaja an-Nahdliyah is an ideology adopted by Nahdlatul Ulama, a major Islamic religious organization in Indonesia. This study argues that the internalization of the national awareness needs to be instilled from early age to anticipate the influence of globalization which is feared to erode the original character of a nation. Within the study, the qualitative method was adopted in order to answer two research questions: (1) how Islamic early childhood educational institutions develop nationalism awareness through the teachings of Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah; and (2) how the institutions construct the awareness of nationalism through the teachings of Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah. The results of the study show that the internalization of nationalism awareness through Islamic early childhood education institutions with the Aswaja an-Nahdliyah’s spirit has been carried out through curriculum content which has been systematically arranged in each research subject with the principle of considering early childhood characteristics. At the same time, the results of the study also show that the construction of nationalism awareness in the Islamic early childhood education institutions can be seen in Islamic holidays and national activities which were held on the Islamic early childhood institutions.

Affective domain of language learning is not only character education which is general, but education of morality language which is based on Al Quran and Hadith. Language akhlak education needs to be implemented from an early age through language learning so that learners have akhlakul karimah. This paper discusses the implementation of moral education in accordance with Al Quran and Hadith in learning Indonesian language and literature in primary school. The goal is to show that there are moral values ​​that are in accordance with Al Quran and Hadith on learning Indonesian language and literature. Thus, the direction and objectives of learning Indonesian language and literature more clearly, especially in the affective domain. Language akhlak that is implemented, namely: 1) speak properly both substance and redaction; 2) effective, efficient, and communicative language; 3) language with a rational reason; 4) language that does not hurt the heart; 5) the use of language to respect others; 6) the use of language in accordance with applicable norms; and, 7) the Islamic rules of listening.

In the pluralistic society, the insight of multiculturalism is essential in creating peaceful life of the society. This article discusses how education plays in building mutlicultural character among the society members. If the children learn and understand multiculturalism at their early age, they will be tolerant of the differences. Having reviewing the existing literature critically, this article concludes that the institution of early childhood education has a strategic role in multicultural education. The early childhood education institution should design and develop multicultural learning environment in growing their appriciation of multiculturalism. The teachers are encouraged to work together with the parents, society members, and nongoverment organizations to meet the multicultural needs of the children.

Abstract Sex education needs to be introduced from an early age as an effort to provide understanding for children about the role of their sexuality and as an effort to prevent sexual violence against children. Early childhood education must be implemented in accordance with the needs and stages of child development, then the process of early childhood education must be packaged in an attractive and fun form for children. This study aims to determine how the application of the introduction of sex education to children using interesting and fun media, namely the media of images and the singing method. The subjects in this study were 30 students aged 5-6 years and 9 teachers at TK Muslimat VI NU Pademawu Pamekasan. The data collection methods in this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis used was the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the introduction of sex education in children by personal health and sex education through the media of pictures and the singing method. The purpose of this study was to determine the honest character improvement taught at an early age at TK Aisiyah 4 in group B children in the city of Pagar Alam. The character education in the school uses the role playing method. The form of research used is Classroom Action Research. Classroom Action Research Method (PTK) used is applying the role playing method which includes several stages, namely planning (planning), action (acting), observation (observing) and reflection (reflecting). Data collection techniques use observation and documentation of student activities. Based on the results of the assessment in the first cycle, it is known that the honest character level of children is at the stage of developing (MB), namely the Achievement Level of Development of 30.27 and then increasing in the second cycle of child development achievement level of 7.54 with criteria developing hope (BSH).

This study aims to observe and examine the implementation of STEM educationin early childhood and get opinions of teachers, parents and school administrators.The method of the study is the case study, one of the qualitative research methods.The data were collected with The Classroom Observation Protocol (COP) and Semi-Structured Interviews with parents, teachers and vice-principals. The study wasconducted in Turkey in a preschool education institution at a state university inIstanbul. This study was carried out with 15 children, two teachers, two vice-principalsand five parents. In the study, the data were described using the method of contentanalysis. During the STEM training, 39 out of 48 indicators were observed by using theClassroom Observation Protocol (COP). It was concluded that the STEM educationapplied contains the desired STEM education items, and STEM education mightbe appropriately incorporated in early childhood classrooms. As the results of theinterviews, it was concluded that parents did not have information about STEMeducation because they were not provided with enough information about it. Besides,teachers and vice-principals were satisfied with this training and they observedpositive changes in children as the result of the STEM education.Keywords: early age; engineering; mathematics; science; STEM; technology

This article aims to describe mental, character education form, and the urgency of character education of learners in MTs.As'adiyah Putra II Sengkang Center. Type of research used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis and phenomenology approach. The paradigm of this study is qualitative by using analytical induction. The main instrument in this study is the researcher herself with several types of instruments are: interview guides, observation guides, field notes, and Crosscheck. In data processing, the researcher did the reduction, displaying and conclusion. The results showed that learners’ character in MTs.As'adiyah Putra II Center of Sengkang at the low level, it was indicated by the low level of self-awareness, has not got a sense of satisfaction and still need to foster peer relationships among teachers, parents and social environment. The form of character education which were done: First, integrating the values of character in learning activities. Second, extracurricular activities.Third, providing understanding and appreciation of the values of characters that are integrated into each subject being taught.Fourth, Familiarizing prayers in congregation in school and lecture training.Fifth, recitations and barasanji.Sixth, the participation of the school community in developing mental learners.Seventh, designing a conducive school atmosphere.Character education in MTs.As'adiyahPuta II Sengkang Center is very important to prepare learners able to face challenges of increasingly complex life dynamics.
