The City today is one of many proofs that humans now lead a new and modern life with multiple technological advancements that supports it, human activities become complex thus altering their lifestyle. Humans have been creating spaces to contain their daily activites. These spaces translates as a hub and from these hubs create communites where humans with the same goals and interests gather. Community Spaces is one of the places where humans connect and take a break from their daily activities and becomes a Third place for them. Pesanggrahan is one of many urban areas that lacks public facilities that accomodates its inhabitants. Developments of vertical housings nearby makes it even urgent to address the lack of community spaces that provide and accomodates its nearby inhabitants. With the developments of modern public spaces being further and further commercialized, this emphasizes the need to develop a special community space with its purpose to solely provide and serve communities nearby. The methods of study used to respond to this matter are Proxemics and Human Ergonomics Study. Where as these two methods are used to try and fuse personal spaces in order to try and create a community space that is Comfortable, Informal and relaxing to its users.

Public spaces are designed and managed in many different ways. In Hanoi, after the Doi moi policy in 1986, the transfer of the public spaces creation at the neighborhood-level to the private sector has prospered na-ture of public and added a large amount of public space for the city, directly impacting on citizen's daily life, creating a new trend, new concept of public spaces. This article looks forward to understanding the public spaces-making and operating in KDTMs (Khu Do Thi Moi - new urban areas) in Hanoi to answer the question of whether ‘socialization’/privatization of these public spaces will put an end to the urban public or the new means of public-making trend. Based on the comparison and literature review of studies in the world on public spaces privatization with domestic studies to see the differences in the Vietnamese context leading to differences in definitions and roles and the concept of public spaces in KDTMs of Hanoi. Through adducing and analyzing practical cases, the article also mentions the trends, the issues, the ways and the technologies of public-making and public-spaces-making in KDTMs of Hanoi. Win/loss and the relationship of the three most important influential actors in this process (municipality, KDTM owners, inhabitants/citizens) is also considered to reconceptualize the public spaces of KDTMs in Hanoi.

Encouraging the planting of native trees in the urban area for proliferation of stingless bees

As a result of exploratory human activities, there has been an increase in the suppression of tree species, reflecting on biodiversity and ecosystem balance, reducing the population of bee species. The objective of this work, to survey the occurrence of trees, Nest establishment and bee species in order to encourage the planting of species, mostly native, in urban areas, so that there is a higher proliferation of indigenous stingless bees. Therefore, we carried out a study in Dr. Joaquim Batista Square in the city of Jaboticabal, SP. Through consultations in the literature, we identified the number of tree species and stingless bees, the average number and height of Nest establishment, besides the collection of seeds for seedlings. They identified 27 species of native trees, 14 exotic, five of stingless bees, 37 Nest establishment, with overall average height of 2.3 m, in addition to producing 20 native seedlings. The high occurrence of Nest establishment of native plants and the presence of seeds demonstrate the adaptability of these pollinators, in addition to supporting the viability of the proposal to encourage the planting of specimens, especially in urban areas native to the proliferation of indigenous stingless bees. Additional studies can be conducted to environmental education in these places.

The public area of the city in general is currently experiencing rapid development due to economic growth and the influence of globalization. The public space is formed based on economic, social, political cultural interests, as well as developments and changes that occur in the current public space, making it limited and cannot be accessed optimally by the wider community. This is caused by the hierarchy of public spaces that are formed based on the functions that surround them. The purpose of this study is to reveal the phenomenon of public hierarchy in urban space in the context of its changes. This research is descriptive-analytical and based on theoretical and empirical elaboration. This approach is used to read public spaces in urban areas to get a reference for the interpretation of theoretical relationships from an empirical condition.

The work is devoted to the consideration of the concepts of the spatial development of the cities of Ukraine taking into account today's specifics of the formation of institutes of their management. The issues discussed in this article are relevant to almost any city in modern Ukraine at the stage of transition of the country from industrial to post-industrial type. Among the most pressing issues are the rational use of territorial resources and environmental security within urban systems. There is also a trend of uneven economic development in urban areas. The solution to this problem is the balanced development of urban space with a diversified economy and infrastructure, as well as high quality of life. The formation of multifunctional urban areas will ensure sustainable spatial development of the city and significantly affect the quality of life. Identifying areas within the city that are inefficiently used and have additional development potential will provide an important resource, which, unlike remote areas, is already provided with transport and engineering infrastructure. Efficient use of territorial resources will allow the formation of a rational compact planning structure of the city. The housing of high quality should be provided with the necessary social and transport infrastructure, be diverse, medium, and multi-story. Comfortable stay of citizens in public spaces involves the integration of public spaces into the cultural life of the city based on the expansion of existing and introduction of new functional content, including the implementation of commercial initiatives and their use in organizing important socio-cultural projects. A comfortable stay in the city largely depends on the architectural appearance of its historic and modern buildings. Existing buildings create the front line of streets, form the environment of public spaces, define the line of the city silhouette. Filling the existing recreational areas included in the system of public spaces with new meanings to citizens.

Humans are highly social beings with great desire for social belonging and interpersonal exchange in their life. Public space has become a cornerstone of public growth consisting economic, social, entertainment, and political enterprise. Therefore, the continuation of public interaction become very dependent on both public space existence and growth. The inadequacy of public space in Setiabudi has provoked the community to create public spaces in their residential roads to socialize and do various activities. Nonetheless, using roads as public infrastructure for daily activities and socializing may resulted in inconvenience and hazardous situation. In addition, most inhabitants in Setiabudi are migrants with the incentive to work and settle which resulted in social discrepancy. If this problem is not anticipated immediately, social and environmental degradation may arise. From these issues, we can conclude that Setiabudi need some facilities to fulfill the social needs of inhabitants and migrants secondary needs to work and settle. The research method conducted is through literature studies, precedent studies. In addition, direct observation techniques were also carried out namely interviews and observations to several settlements, social and public facilities. Therefore, facilities such as flexible space, gym, kid’s play area, bar, and recreational space for food court and co-working space are essential. Along with the oasis-maker concept, Setiabudi Wellness and Recreation Facility undertake inclusivity of human, neutrality, and playfulness.

Jakarta has a fairly rapid rate of economic growth, a modern life and very dense activities, making people increasingly lose time to socialize and rest. Almost all people will spend their time to work with the aim of being able to meet their personal needs. However, when they are tired of working, they cannot find a place to facilitate them to socialize, relax and refresh their body and mind. As a result, the potential for living thought is only for work. This can trigger stress on factory workers who are most susceptible to stress. If this is left unchecked, this will have an impact on the quality of the HR itself and worsen their performance. Therefore the purpose of this research is to create a suitable forum for workers and the community so that they can gather, socialize, relax themselves and refresh their body and mind (Third Place). So that it can reduce stress levels, build community and improve socialization among surrounding communities and can solve existing issues. There is also a method that is used is the everyday urbanism method that sees changes in time and habits of the surrounding community, so that it can provide a place to support the activities of the people who are in that location. The program produced to enter into this project such as communal space, community space, fitness and many others.

Title: Narrative Approach in the Design of Integrated Space Connectivity in Taman Kemang As a commercial area the Taman Kemang street has certain activities based on its functions such as parking ,working, selling (street vendors), eating and relaxing, people who just walk to Lippo Mall Kemang and activities from online transportation to deliver and pick up. However, as a commercial area, the Taman Kemang street does not have the balance of the daily activities as the city space. This is because different activities are defined by time from morning to night and weekdays and weekends. This is because the bordering space that are formed are utilized as parking lots and selling places of the street vendors which it should be utilized more as public spaces. Therefore, in this research, the author uses a narrative approach as an analysis process towards the design stage through the stages of the story - narrative - narration as a problem-solving solution. The process of analysis is based on activities on the Taman Kemang street through the motives of community activities that form events in a certain time. So that in the narrative stage a story concept is formed which is how to revive the bordering space of the daily narrative formed on the Taman Kemang street. Then supported by strategies at the stage of narration through 5 narrative landscape strategies and forming quality space, namely the formation of activity identity, space identity and continuity of the results of the integration of bordering space elements.

AbstractNoise pollution is a phenomenon insufficiently studied in the city-environment relationship. The combination of constant and permanent noise, indiscriminate use of cars and the poorly integrated public policies, cause an inaccurate and unclear environmental management. The model of a “walkable city” intends to address urban areas where transport use is reduced, the benefits of mobility through walking and cycling are emphasized and the public spaces and green areas are remediated. All those instruments could reduce noise pollution and other environmental effects.
