AbstractThis study aims to reveal the meaning and values of multicultural education in the perspective of Nurcholish Madjid's thinking by using the research method of character studies. The results of this study can be concluded that Nurcholish Madjid that in referring to the multicultural term Nurcholish Madjid uses the term plurality more. Plurality is a plural or plural society which is the design and sunnatulah Allah Almighty for mankind because there is no single and equal society in all aspects. The multicultural education values found, namely the value of democracy (must be absolutivism / free to express opinions and accept criticism), the value of justice (must be fair and be a referee / mediator in upholding something), the value of equality (all human beings are the same that distinguishes only the level devotion), human values (humans are not justified to denigrate one another) and tolerance values (mutual respect and respect for other religions and give freedom of worship).Keywords: Education; Multicultural; Nurcholish Madjid. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan makna dan nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural dalam perspektif pemikiran Nurcholish Madjid dengan menggunakan metode penelitian studi tokoh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Nurcholish Madjid dalam menyebut istilah multikultural lebih banyak menggunakan istilah pluralitas. Pluralitas adalah suatu masyarakat majemuk atau plural yang merupakan design dan sunnatulah Allah swt untuk umat manusia karena tidak ada masyarakat yang tunggal dan sama dalam semua segi. Adapun nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural yang didapati, yaitu nilai demokrasi (harus absolutivisme/ bebas mengutarakan pendapat dan menerima kritikan), nilai keadilan (harus bersikap adil dan menjadi wasit/penengah dalam menegakkan sesuatu), nilai kesetaraan (semua manusia sama yang membedakannya hanya tingkat ketaqwaan), nilai kemanusiaan (manusia tidak dibenarkan untuk merendahkan satu sama lain) dan nilai toleransi (saling menghormati dan menghargai agama lain serta memberi kebebasan beribadah). Kata Kunci: Pendidikan; Multikultural; Nurcholish Madjid.

This article aims to analyze the basic concepts of multicultural education from an Islamic perspective. Multicultural education is an understanding of differences, tolerance, mutual respect among human beings. Islam as religion that applies to all mankind troughtout his life and the al quran as a guide for muslims contains multicultural values. The importance of multicultural education is expected to be a solution to the reality heterogeneity of religion, language, and culture. The research method used in this research is to use a qualitatif aprroach library research, by analyzing comprehensively the studies related to multicultural education in an Islamic perspektive. The result showed that Islam essentially teaches its folloers universal valuaes and flexibility in responding to the demands of growing era. Al quran teaches people to appreciate and respect equality of rights, religion, language, and culture so that there is a harmonious relationship, the growth of love among humans, because that is actually an important goal of multicultural education. Pentingnya pendidikan mulrikultural diharapkan menjadi solusi akan realitas masyarakat yang beragam dan berbudaya sebagai sebuah proses pengembangan potensi yang dapat menghargai pluralitas dan heterogenitas agama, bahasa dan budaya. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi pustaka, dengan menganalisis secara komprehensif kajian yang terkait dengan pendidikan multikultural dalam perspektif Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendidikan multikultural dalam persepktif Islam secara esensial mengajarkan kepada manusia untuk bersikap egaliter, meskipun berbeda. Mampu membangun kepercayaan dengan pribadi yang berbeda suku, agama, bangsa, bahasa, dan lain-lain. Kemudian muncul perilaku saling menghargai satu sama lain, sebagai upaya untuk menghindari konflik dan pada gilirannya agar hidup berdampingan dengan saling peduli agar tercipta perdamaian di dunia.Keywords: Pendidikan, Multikultural, dan Islam.

Religious life in Indonesia is very dynamic with the emergence of various cases set to religious radicalism.. The phenomenon is not only growing at a particular community, but its existence has been developing in the form of transnational institution. Even pesantren as part of Islamic tradition of archipelago is often associated as' base or central understanding of Islam fundamental become root for growth radical movement that in the name of Islam. The radicalization of understanding at certain pesantren huts that impact on acts of radicalism in Indonesia should be laid in the context of the development of transnational Islamic movements due to the various developments of the existing world. The results of this study concluded that Islam as a universal religion of love (rahmatan lil 'alamin) which teaches education by upholding human values, respecting human rights, respecting cultural and cultural diversity, craving peace, justice, tolerance and a balanced attitude, and other noble manifestations. Dogmatic groups that justify acts of violence in the name of religion have reduced and injured the teachings of rahmatan lil 'alamin. Islamic education (Pesantren) that teaches hatred against different opinions and beliefs is not ideal for the continuity of diversity and diversity in Indonesia. Pesantrens infiltrated by radicalization need to be reoriented in a direction compatible with the Islamic spirit that teaches mutual respect and brotherhood. A number of values that are taught are tolerant, moderate, togetherness, equality, mutual respect and degrees of Islamic multicultural education

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis; eksternalisasi, objektivasi, dan internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural dalam pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam berbasis multiagama di SMKN 3 Kabupaten Pamekasan. Metode penelitiannya menggunakan  pendekatan kualitatif berjenis fenomenologi. Hasil  penelitian menunjukkan: pertama eksternalisasi, yaitu  penyesuaian  diri dengan budaya dan pendidikan yang ada di lembaga. Kedua objektivasi, yaitu  sebuah interaksi antara guru  dan  murid saat menjalankan proses pendidikan, dan guru memberikan contoh hal yang baik kepada peserta didik dengan berperilaku sopan santun dan saling menghormati. Ketiga internalisasi, yaitu individu mengidentifikasikan diri dengan lembaga, peserta didik merasa pendidikan sekolah multikultural menjadi bagian  dari  dirinya sehingga  menjalankan tanpa  ada paksaan dengan peserta  didik menirukan hal yang diberikan guru pada peserta didik.Kata kunci: konstruksi, nilai multikulturalisme, agama, peserta didik This study aims to describe and analyze; externalization, objectivity, and internalization of multicultural education values in the multi-religious based Islamic education learning at SMKN 3 Pamekasan. The research method uses a qualitative approach of phenomenological type. The results showed: first, externalization, namely self-adjustment to the culture and education in the institution. The second objectivity, which is an interaction between teacher and student during the education process, and the teacher provides examples of good things to students by behaving courtesy and mutual respect. AbstractThe concept of Islamic religious education such as kalam and fiqih is more directed towards the development of affective capable of experiencing multicultural realities, so that the spirit of Sufi teachings that develop multicultural morality through two things: the first "al sidq ma'a Allah" (honest with God), second "Husn al mu'amalah ma'a al nas" (behave well with fellow human beings). This research includes the type of library research (library research) with the analysis used is descriptive analytical. The role of Sufistic-Based Multicultural Multicultural Education for Student Character Building lies in the learning process that emphasizes intellectual intelligence, emotional and spiritual intelligence in every process undertaken by emphasizing appreciation of the individual's individuality of the students and promoting affection in teaching students as parents to their natural children, there is no favoritism in giving treatment to every student, all students are treated and educated according to their ability and emphasized to mutual respect difference with other friend, so in the end student will have akhlakul karimah as nature of Allah SWT in everyday life with emphasize at power qalb on student self.IntisariKonsep pendidikan agama Islam seperti kalam dan fiqih lebih diarahkan pada pengembangan afektif yang mampu merasakan berbagai realitas yang bersifat multicultural, sehingga semangat ajaran sufistik yang mengembangkan moralitas multikultural melalui dua hal: pertama “al sidq ma’a Allah” (jujur bersama Allah), kedua “husn al mu’amalah ma’a al nas” (berperilaku baik dengan sesama manusia).Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitis. Peran Pendidikan Multikultural Berbasis Afektif Sufistik bagi Pembentukan Karakter Siswa terletak pada proses pembelajaran yang mengedepankan kecerdasan intelektual, kecerdasan emosional dan spiritual dalam setiap proses yang dilakukan dengan menekankan pada penghargaan terhadap keberagamaan setiap individu siswa dan mengedepankan kasih sayang dalam mengajar siswa sebagaimana orang tua terhadap anak kandungnya, tidak ada pilih kasih dalam memberikan perlakuan kepada setiap siswa, semua siswa diperlakukan dan dididik sesuai kemampuannya dan ditekankan untuk saling menghargai perbedaan dengan teman lainnya, sehingga pada akhirnya siswa akan memiliki akhlakul karimah sebagaimana sifat Allah SWT dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan menekankan pada kekuatan qalb pada diri siswa.

Indonesian nation consist of many kind of culture, ethnic, race, religion, etc. At one side that diversity is a treasure of Indonesian, but at other side it triggers social conflict. Conflict that happens about three decade of New Order power is because our education always teaching similarity (uniformity) and averse plurality. Therefore, this paper suggested multicultural education as solution to this problem. Multicultural education has to be implemented on learning process at school. It not necessarily became separated lesson, but can integrated to every lesson . Multicultural education is a process to cultivating attitude to respect each other, honest, and tolerant to cultural diversity that exit on the plural society. With multicultural education we hope there’s toughness and flexibility of this nation to face the clash of social conflict.

The purpose of applying education to instill tolerance in society is to form citizens who can realize a common civilization in the life of nation and state, and able to create Indonesian people as a whole. Education is one way to instill tolerant. As for efforts education to instill tolerant attitude in society through: 1) multicultural education and character; 2) education with national insight; and 3) professional education management. The method used in this writing is a qualitative research method descriptive library studi. Expected with education so the community can respect the diversity and eliminate suspicion and discrimination so that the creation of a tolerant society.

The objective of this research was to describes the morality contained in the novel Affairs at the Negeri di Ujung Tanduk the works Tere Liye. The research method used content analysis. The data in this research is a sentence containing the moral values ​​contained by the novel of the State at Ujung Tanduk Karya Tere Liye. Technique of collecting data using documentation technique and record. Data analysis techniques with steps: data reduction, data tabulation and coding, interpretation, classification, and conclusion. The result of the research shows that morality in Tere Liye Negeri di Ujung Tanduk novel is: first, human relationships with other human beings in the form of self existence, self esteem, self confidence, fear, death, longing, resentment, loneliness, maintaining the sanctity of greed, developing courage, honesty, hard work, patient, resilient, cheerful, steadfast, open, visionary, independent, brave, courageous, optimistic, envy, hypocritical, reflective, responsible, principle, confident, disciplined , and voracious. Second, human relationships with other humans or social and nature in the form of cooperation, acquaintance, hypocrisy, caring, hypocrisy, caring, friendship, smile, mutual help, and betrayal. Third human relationships in the form of God's menthidising and avoiding shirk, piety and pleading with prayers, prayers performed by human beings, as an awareness that everything in this universe belongs to God. The real purpose of education is humanizing human beings. The most prominent thing in humanity is diversity, plurality or multiculturality. Indonesia is a country consisting of a plural society. This should be realized by all individuals in this nusantara society. Providing awareness of the existence of mulitikulturalitas or pluralism can be pursued in the educational process. For the sake of this interest, then in the educational process there must be some kind of integralization effort between forming the intellect and morality of learners. The function of integralization of moral and intellectual education is to know more about diversity then combine with knowledge and practice with morality then achieve the purposes of national education. The conclusions or findings of Freire’s and Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s analysis approach are the absence of differences in the educational portion, the absence of social classes as the limits of education, and the educator has a role as teacher not only as a facilitator but also as a identifierin diversity and be honest about the history, there is a link between learners and educators, mutual understanding, learners receive teaching, and educators learn to understand learners, and this function is summarized in education for freedom and ing ngarsho sung tuladha, ing madyo mangun karsha, tut wur handayani.

Sunda Wiwitan is a belief held by traditional Sundanese society or native Sundanese religion. Sundanese Wiwitan community is spread in West Java, one of which is Cigugur Village, Kuningan. In carrying out their religious activities, this group usually presents offerings. The rituals of offerings in Sunda Wiwitan have existed since the stone age. This ritual is a legacy from the ancestors handed down to the younger generation of Sunda Wiwitan through the communication process. This ritual is still carried out by the Sunda Wiwitan community until this day. The purpose of this research is to find out how the process of offering rituals on Sunda Wiwitan adherents and what are the preparations needed at the time of the ritual. Theories used in this research are communication theory, culture and ritual communication. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative research method with a phenomenological method. The data to be analyzed was obtained from the results of in-depth interviews with three speakers. The conclusion from this study is that ritual offerings are not a negative thing. But the offerings ritual is a ritual that presents the work of human beings to Sang Hyang Kersa or the Creator, creatures that appear or do not appear as expressions of gratitude and. This ritual is also a symbol that describes the relationship between humans and nature and humans with the Creator. Sunda Wiwitan merupakan sebuah aliran kepercayaan yang dianut oleh masyarakat tradisional Sunda atau agama Sunda asli. Masyarakat penganut Sunda Wiwitan tersebar di daerah Jawa Barat salah satunya adalah Desa Cigugur, Kuningan. Dalam menjalankan kegiatan agamanya kelompok ini biasa menyajikan sajen. Ritual sajen dalam Sunda Wiwitan sudah ada sejak zaman batu. Ritual ini merupakan warisan dari para leluhur yang diturunkan kepada generasi muda Sunda Wiwitan melalui proses komunikasi. Ritual ini masih dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Sunda Wiwitan sampai saat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah proses ritual sajen pada penganut Sunda Wiwitan dan apa saja persiapan yang dibutuhkan pada saat ritual sajen dilakukan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori komunikasi, budaya dan komunikasi ritual. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode fenomenologi. Data yang akan dianalisis diperoleh dari hasil wawancara mendalam dengan tiga orang narasumber. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ritual sajen bukanlah sebagai suatu hal yang negatif. Tetapi ritual sajen merupakan ritual yang mempersembahkan hasil karya olah manusia kepada Sang Hyang Kersa atau Sang Pencipta, makhluk yang tampak maupun tidak tampak sebagai ucapan rasa syukur dan terima kasih. Ritual sajen juga merupakan simbol yang menggambarkan hubungan antara manusia dengan alam dan manusia dengan Sang Pencipta.
