Abstract Background Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) not only impacts the quality of life of the patient, but also affects their family members. Studies to date have provided an understanding of impact of IBD and IBD implications for people with IBD. However, little is known about the impact of IBD on their family members. Therefore, the current study aimed to explore the lived experience of people with IBD and their family members regarding the impacts of IBD on family members and their coping methods. Methods Twelve participants, including six people with IBD with their six partners, were purposively selected, no other family members (parents / children, sibling) came forward to participate in the study. The in-depth, semi-structured online interviews were conducted via Skype, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams between February-June 2020. Interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed verbatim, and analysed using inductive thematic analysis by Braun and Clarke. Results Four main themes emerged during the analysis under the central theme “our relationship with IBD, for better or worse”. IBD affected the partners in terms of their own relationship, relationship with others, everyday life, and emotional and mental well-being. The theme “our relationship” showed the impact of IBD on the relationship between a couple, including the intimate relationship, family planning, role change as partner and carer, and the importance of honest communication. IBD also affected wider relationships with family, children, and social life, but teamwork could mediate negative impact in relationships. Emotional well-being was impacted by living in constant fear and guilt. Humour and knowledge of IBD reduced negative impacts. IBD impacts on everyday life (diet, finances, and travel) for both patients and partners. Planning for uncertain situations was helpful to reduce restrictions. Conclusion The study provides an understanding of IBD impact on partners and the coping strategies from patients and partners’ perspectives. There are wide-ranging implications for health and social care professionals caring for people with IBD and their families. Social support has been recognised as a vital buffering mechanism in facilitating an individual’s adjustment to IBD. Healthcare professionals and researchers may integrate a bio-psycho-social approach into their work with IBD family members. There is a need to develop interventions to help family members of IBD patients to better cope with the illness and to have a more fulfilling life.

Everyone is created to live in a herd, a group of people with whom they build a community. The community may be the family home, friends, acquaintances from work, the backyard or eventhe street. We feel better when we meet other people. When modern man speaks of isolation, he thinks only of closing himself off at home, peace and quiet, lack of contact with his family or going off into the unknown. He does not think of the forced isolation that prevailed among people in wartime. It determined everyday life, changed people’s values and dehumanised them. The worst was the camp isolation, which took people by surprise. No one expected that someone could deprive people of their lives, away from family and friends. Isolation can be divided into sectors: internal and external. With time it is possible to get out of it. A person’s attitude and the presence of other helpful people can help. People in the camp escaped isolation in different ways. The longing for love, the touch of another human being, tenderness and a smile had different faces. One of the themes of camp life was children going to slaughter. They did not realise that they would disappear from the face of the earth together with their parents. Smiling, carefree children were not afraid of anything, they felt no fear or exclusion. International cooperation was the order of the day in many camps. Although the women did not know the language, they used gestures, similar expressions. Each of the women prisoners sensed their fate and therefore needed each other’s help. No matter what country the prisoners came from, no matter what part of Europe, they all fought to survive. For many of them the camp became a home, where relationships proved beneficial. The escape from camp “happiness” was all-day work outside the camp. Prisoners would go out on purpose to do hard work in the fi elds, digging pits, in order not to see what was going on in the camp. The variety of isolation is beyond comparison. It is possible to live in isolation, to have contact with others, but to be well aware that one day normality will return. The people in the camp also had hope, but they knew that this hope could end rather quickly for them — in the crematorium.

This article introduces the reader to the current status of cultural sociology as a specific mode of inquiry. It first discusses the pre-history of cultural sociology, tracing its origins in the demise of Parsonian functionalism from the mid-1960s onward, the cultural turn in sociology through the 1980s, and the emergence of an increasingly confident cultural sociology as an alternative paradigm to the once dominant sociology of culture. The article then considers the impact of cultural sociology, especially on well-established research areas such as economic sociology. It also examines the tensions marking “best practices” in contemporary cultural sociology as a dimension of social life, including the tension between discourse and materiality, the link between public ritual and everyday life, and the question of method and epistemology.

Humans are God's creations given the ability more than other creatures, humans also live always side by side with good and bad. Therefore humans in living their lives need an awareness of the importance of applying religious teachings in order to minimize all things that are bad, because it will be futile to be born a human being if it does not improve. Very difficult as a human being and very short, so humans must use their lives with good karma for the creation of a peaceful and prosperous life. In his speech, Jatiswara explained that a father gives advice or advice to his children to always be obedient and act well according to the instructions explicitly and implicit in religious literature, also explained about the good man who always prioritizes the dharma in carrying out his life (the Parajnyan) and humans with poor qualities that make adharma as a guide to live their lives (the Pretanjana). This speech explains the various concepts of religious teachings that are very important, one of them is the teachings of karma phala, dharma and religion. Also explained in Tutur Jatiswara about the impact of dharma teachings that do not distinguish humans from social and economic aspects. The method used in this study is a descriptive method that will systematically describe the concepts of good (dharma) and bad (adharma) or the Parajnyan and the Pretanjana in Tutur Jatiswara

Rasulallah Saw. was sent to the earth was carrying the mission that Allah is the almighty and take the mandate to build human civilization more dignified than ever. One form of construction was built by Rasulallah Saw. In order to create a dignified human being from the aspect of the economy. The economic aspect is a form of a right economy that is, protected from things prohibited by syara 'such as manipulation, fraud, corruption and so forth. The history records that, the beginning of Islamic economic thought has actually been done by Rasulallah Saw. and his companions (khulafaurasyidin). The economic problems of the people become very serious concerns because economic problems are the pillars of the faith that must be considered. This is as narrated by Muslims, that Rasulallah Saw. Says "Poverty leads people to disbelief". So the effort to eradicate poverty is part of the social policies undertaken by him at that time. Rasulallah Saw. laid the foundations of the state's financial system in accordance with the provisions of the Qur'an. The whole paradigm of thinking in the economic field and its application in everyday life that was inconsistent with Islamic teachings was removed and replaced with a new paradigm that conforms to Qur'anic values, namely brotherhood, equality, freedom and justice. So this was a very significant step, as well as brilliant and spectacular at the time.
