The purposes of this research are to describe and explain to what extent IEPC strategy could improve students’ reading comprehension at grade VIII.4 of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru and the factors that influenced the change of their reading comprehension by using IEPC strategy at grade VIII.4 of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. This research is classroom action research, every cycle consisted of four fundamental aspects namely, planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research consisted of three cycle, where in each cycle consisted of fourmeetings. The four meetings in one cycle involving three meetings for teaching reading by using IEPC strategy and one meeting for post-test at the end of every cycle.The participants of this research were the researcher, a collaborator and the students of grade VIII.4 of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru totalling 40 students. The instruments of this research were reading comprehension test, an observation sheet, field note and interview.There were two findings of this research: (1) IEPC strategy could improve the students’ reading comprehension; (2) Teaching material and media, class activity, class management, and teacher’s approach were the factors that could influence the change of students’ reading comprehension.

<p class="05IsiAbstrak">The purpose of the research was to find out the improvement of student’s reading comprehension on narrative text through directed reading and think pair share at madrasa Aliyah of Manahijul Huda Ngagel in academic years 2019/2020. This research was done by applying Classroom Action Research which carried out through four steps. They were planning, action, observation, and reflection, in cycle 1 and cycle 2. The subject of research was the grade X-MIA, they are consisted of 30 students. Based on the result of the data analysis showed that mean of the score has increased in the cycle 2, the mean in the pre-test was 63,33%, the mean of cycle 1 was 74,33%. Then the mean of cycle 2 was 84,17%. The students who got up 75 also grew up. In the pre-test, students who got up 75 were only 5 of 30 students (16,67%). In the post test of cycle 1, students who got up 75 were only 17 of 30 students (56,67%). It means that there was improvement about 40%. In the post test of cycle 2, students who got up 75 were 24 of 30 students (80%). The improvement was about 23,33%. The total improvement of the student’s score from the pre-test to post test of cycle 2 was 63,33%. So, the result of the research showed that Directed-reading and Think Pair Share (TPS) strategy significantly improved student’s reading comprehension on narrative text.</p>

          The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which Score Strategy may increase students' reading comprehension and the factors that improved students' reading comprehension at Grade XI of the Office Administration Program of SMK Budi Mulia. This research was classroom action research. The subject of this research was the XI students of the Office Administration Program at SMK Budi Mulia. The instrument of this research was a test, observation, field note, and interview. The research was conducted in two cycles which included plan, action, observe, and reflect. The finding of this research showed that the students reading comprehension at the XI student of SMK Budi Mulia had significant improvement after using the SCORE Strategy. The improvement was influenced by several factors; teaching material, media, classroom activities, classroom management, teacher’s strategy.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak melalui Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dua siklus yang terdiri dari: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa pembelajaran akidah akhlak dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar di kelas IX E MTsN Olak Kemang Kota Jambi. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa untuk setiap indikator yang diteliti. Peningkatan aktivitas siswa yang dimaksud adalah terjadinya peningkatan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Siswa aktif merespon pertanyaan guru, mengemukakan alasan, menjelaskan kepada teman, mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kelompok dan membuat kesimpulan Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Siswa, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Akidah Akhlak Abstract [Tittle: Improving Student’ Activity In Akidah Akhlak Course Through Problem Based Learning Approach]. This research was aimed to improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak through Problem Based Learning (PBL)at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi city.This was a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles in which each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research was the third year students of MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi that consisted of 32 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation sheet and field note. The data then was analyzed descriptively.The result of the research showed that the use of PBL approach could improve students’ activity in Akidah Akhlak at MTsN Olak Kemang Jambi. After applying PBL approach, the students had a willingness to answer teacher’s questions, give opinions and plain them to the peers, present the result of the discussion and take conclusion. This action research aims to improve students' ability in writing Japanese narrative through the medium of series images. The subjects of this study are students of class XI Accounting at SMK Negeri 18 Jakarta, the year of learning 2016-2017. The research data was collected through observation, prates, collaborator notes, and final tests of each cycle. This action research model uses the research model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart action that is planning, action, observation, and reflection. This study was conducted for two months consisting of eight meetings in two cycles. Four cycles meeting I and four cycle II meetings. Improvements are made in each cycle and follow the post test at the end of the lesson. Research data were analyzed through qualitative and quantitative procedures. The result of the research stated that the students' ability in writing Japanese language narration in cycle I was only 68.5 and cycle II became 83.2. Based on that, the medium of the series image can improve students' ability in writing Japanese narrative.

Researchers made observations during the writing class. There were several writing problems faced by students, including: spelling errors in writing a few words, difficulty in compiling ideas, grammatical errors, incorrect punctuation, and inaccurate diction used. The researcher then found a solution to that problem by using the track changes feature in the pair correction activity. Track changes was useful for correcting students' writing in the editing phase not only making corrections, students also worked together in groups in pairs to produce better writing. The study used a classroom action research that aimed to describe the implementation of the use of track changes in pair correction activities and to find out whether the strategy could improve students' writing skills. The subjects of this study were students in class XI IPA 1 with a total of 32 students. The procedures in this study included planning, action, observation, and reflection. Researchers collected data through pre-test, post-test, questionnaire, and interview. The researcher used two cycles in this research. The results of the pre-test action showed that the average grade of the class was 67, after implementing the strategy, the average class in the first post test was 79 and in the second post-test it was 81. Based on these results, the use of track changes in writing correction in pairs could improve students' writing skills. The data were also supported by the results of questionnaires and interviews obtained that track changes helped students in learning to write.

This Classroom Action Research is intended to improve the students’ reading comprehension mastery and learning motivation of the eight grade SMPN 1 Purbolinggo. The participant of the research is  the class VIIIA of SMPN 1 Purbolinggo, East Lampung. They consisted of 30 students. This research uses Kemmis and Taggart’s model; planning, action, observation and reflection of the result. Meanwhile, this research employs the triangulation method (observation, interview, and test) to collect the data. After the data are gathered, they are analyzed and interpreted by using data reduction, categorization and synthesis. The findings were formulated as follow: (1) the implementation used more varieties media in presenting the materials using double match picture. Most of the students become more active in learning process; (2) the improvement of students’ reading comprehension could be seen from the test, the mean score improved from 68 in cycle 1 become 73 in cycle 2. Then, in cycle 3 the score is 81 or all of the students pass the minimum passing grade; (3) there is improvement in the students learning motivation and interest. It could be seen from the observation result, questionnaire and interview. After the implementation, most of the students become interested and motivated in reading during teaching and learning process.

This research aims to know the use of pop-up book to improve English skill at SD Negeri 2 Gadingkulon. In this school, most students had low score in English skill because of limited media for teaching English. In this case, the researcher wants to improve English skill by implementing pop-up book for teaching. The subject of this research was second grade students which consist of 15 students. The method used in this study was classroom action research (CAR) in which the researcher worked collaboratively with the teacher. This research applied two cycles with four stages; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data were taken from field note and scoring rubric. Furthermore, the result of this research was shown pop-up book can enhance students to be active and cooperative in the classroom. Therefore, pop-up book can improve students’ English skill. It was proven by average score in cycle 1 was 70 and cycle 2 was 86. Thus, all the students achieved Minimum Mastery criterion (KKM).

This research aimed to describe the process of improving students’ reading comprehension of narrative text through graphic organizer strategy in SMP Regina Pacis Surakarta. It was conducted to the ninth year students, especially class VIII A as the subject of research. The researcher conducted a classroom action research. Achievement test, observation checklist and field note used as the tools of data collecting. The research findings showed that graphic organizer strategy was appropriate for teaching reading comprehension. Students’ mean score increased from 63 to 78. The students were able to map out basic components of the story such as setting, problem, goals, action, and outcomes. Graphic organizerprovides structure and organization so students were able to comprehend the story more effective.

This study aimed at improving the students’ achievement in reading comprehension by using Numbered Head Together Strategy (NHT). The subjects of the study were the students of II B class of English Eduation Department, Undiksha. The study was designed in the form of a classroom action research.Each cycle involved planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data were collected by using tests, diary, and questionnaires. The result of the data showed that the students’ achievement in reading comprehension improved along with the implementation of the NHT strategy. It was shown by the student’s mean score in the tests. In the pre-test the students’ mean score was 53.12 (sufficient). It increased up to 75.15 (very good) in post-test I and it increased to 85.50 (excellent) in post-test II. The result of the questionnaires also indicated that the students gave positive response toward the implementation of the NHT Strategy.

Writing is language ability that very important for all human life. Writing helps someone to think easily and to express all idea, thought and feeling existing in mind in written form. The purpose of this research is to explore 5W+1H Questions in enhancing students’ writing ability at Eleventh grade in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Banggai. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR). It consists of two cycles (cycle 1 and cycle 2). This research was conducted in 4 stages, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The result of this research had enhanced the students’ writing ability through 5W+1H Questions, it can be seen by the mean score of students in each cycle. The percentage of completeness in pre-cycle was 61,4% and first cycle of meeting at 72,3% while the post-test was 90,3%. It indicated 5W+1H Questions enhanced the students’ writing ability.
