This article examines the translation of Arabic tenses expression into Indonesian. This library research employs a descriptive analysis method based on Catford’s theoretical translation framework. This study finds that, firstly, from the extension of translation perspective, the tense expression in Arabic can be translated fully into Indonesian, in which all of the Arabic tense expression has the Indonesian equivalence. Linguistically speaking, in certain cases the translation of Arabic verbs both mādī (perfect) and mudāri’ (imperfect) has to be added with an Indonesian temporal adverb.  The auxiliary verb kāna, which usually combined with mudāri’ verb in Arabic past tense is translated into Indonesian adverb of time: “dulu”, “dahulu”, or “tadi”. Secondly, the expression of Arabic future tense, which constitutes mudāri’ verb, prefix “sa_” or particle “saufa,” is also translated into “akan”. The mādī (perfect) verb, which is used in the context of wishing, is translated into Indonesian equivalence verb - “semoga”. Thirdly, In translating Arabic into Indonesian, context (siyāq) comes into play, not all Arabic verbs denotes definite tense in a sentence

In the city of Langsa, the violation of Islamic sharia qanun (regional bylaws) has shown a declining trend; however, it still accounts for a large proportion. This is a surprising issue since it is believed that the Wilayatul Hisbah (Islamic religious police force) of Langsa has performed its duties and functions properly. To respond to the issue, the study of this thesis formulated several questions, including: what are the da’wah strategies used by the Wilayatul Hisbah in supervising the Islamic sharia in Langsa? and how are the da’wah strategies of the Wilayatul Hisbahin supervising the Islamic sharia against the perspective of manhaj da’wah? The study used field research approach, using qualitative descriptive analysis method. Data were collected by interview and documentation. The results of the study showed that the Wilayatul Hisbah of Langsa employed two types of da’wah strategies: da’wah bi al-lisan (oral da’wah) and da’wah bi al-hal(practical da’wah). Da’wah bi al-lisanincluded speech, Jum’ah sermon, appeal, discussion, and advice/guidance. Da’wah bi al-halinvolved patrol and raid. Further, in the view of the da’wah manhaj, the da’wah strategies used structural and cultural approaches. The structural approaches included (a) the supervision of the Islamic sharia was conducted by an official institution formed by the government, which was the Wilayatul Hisbah, (b) the Wilayatul Hisbah and the Islamic Sharia Office was merged institutionally, (c) the establishment of Islamic sharia supervisors at the village level by the Wilayatul Hisbah and the sharia supervisors by the village officers, and (d) the development of cooperation between the government agencies (e.g. Islamic Sharia Office, Ulama Consultative Assembly, Civil Service Police Unit, Police, Indonesian National Army, Sharia Court, and non-governmental (Islamic) organizations). The cultural approaches involved implementing the strategic da’wah methods and strategies. The da’wah methods of the Wilayatul Hisbah have been in line with the Qur’an chapter An-Nahl verse 125, which describes da’wah bi al-hikmah (wisdom), da’wah bi al-mauidza al-hasanah (good advice), and da’wah al-mujadalah bi al-latihiya ahsan (good dialog).

The subjects in this study were students of the Nippo class who were studying at LPK Japanese Language Management Center (JLMC). This research uses descriptive analysis method by collecting data from students to answer 6 questions about kara and node. The results showed that students understanding about use of kara and node was good enough, with a percentage 59%. Then based on the results of the item analysis, can be seen that the students made more mistakes in kara form than node form, with the error percentage in kara reach 62% and node 21%. The main cause of students lack of understanding about the differences of kara and node is the teacher who does not explain in detail the differences between kara and node. Profanity is an expression used by someone for the purpose of berating, slandering, or expressing their anger towards others. In Korean, profanity also has another purpose, which is to show intimacy between the speakers and their partner. The purpose of this research is to explain how Korean profanity is translated into Indonesian in the webtoon Yakhan Yeongung. This research uses a descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach and archival study as the research technique. This research includes Chang’s profanity classification theory as well as Vinay and Dalbernet’s translation theory as references. This research concludes that from the 28 profanity words identified in the data, 15 of them are simple profanities while the rest are compound profanities. Among those, there are two simple profanities and a compound profanity that were not translated. The translation methods used to translate these two kinds of profanity are also different. The simple profanity is translated using literal translation, transposition, equivalence and adaptation methods. Meanwhile, the compound profanity is translated using transposition, equivalence, adaptation, deletion and addition methods.
