Management of euryhaline species, such as Anguillid eel, is very important. Anguillid eel is an important economic fish which the partly of its life cycle spent in inland waters then migrates into the ocean for spawning. The objective of this study is to identify the morphological diversity and length-weight relationship of Anguillid eels in this province. The total of 148 individuals of elver and adult Anguillid eels were caught was identified using the comparison of ano-dorsal with total length parameter. Cluster analysis was obtained based on measurement of morphometric parameter. The current work used cluster analysis and dendrogram to group the population characteristic of Anguilla eel. It revealed that in the Jenggalu, Kungkai and Manna rivers of Bengkulu province, there are two groups of Anguilla eel with significant difference of ano-dorsal length. The value of the ano-dorsal varied from 2.56 ± 1.54 and 17.78 ± 1.33 for A.bicolor bicolor and A.marmorata, respectively. The length-weight relationships between total length (TL) and weight (W) for Anguilla bicolor and A.marmorata were found to be highly significant (r2 > 0.94, p < 0.001). The average value of 'b' for length and weight were higher than 3, i.e., 3.2677 and 3.4821 in A.bicolor and A.marmorata respectively which indicated a positive allometric growth trend of this species in the studied area.

The embedded composite spinning technology was applied in spinning the composite yarn of polyamide 66 and nomex .The relationship of the polyamide 66 and nomex’s content with the mechanical properties of composite yarn and hairiness was discussed. The method of cluster analysis was applied in analyzing the four kinds of yarn’s mechanical properties. And the results show that when the confidence interval is 95%, the significance of two kinds yarns were greater than 0.05. There is no significant difference between the programs. While the analysis of the hairiness data showed that the fourth solution’s harmful hairiness was much lower that the first solution’s. Therefore, the best solution is the fourth solution.

Twenty specimens of triploid with weight and length ranging from 207-300g and 29-32cm; diploid 150-200g and 23-28cm Heterobranchus bidorsalis (Geoffroy St. Hilaire 1809) were subjected to morphometric and meristic characterization, length-weight relationship and condition factor evaluation. Triploid specimens had the higher values in all the parameters examined and were significantly different (P<0.005). Regression analysis of diploid and triploid show the ranges of values (K) of 0.802 1.453 and 0.838 0.906 respectively, for condition factor (k) while the relative condition factor values (Kn) ranged between 0.869 1.087 and 0.968 1.038 respectively. Weight increases directly as the total length increases for both diploid and triploid indicating isometric growth. The R2 in triploid was higher (96.8%) than in diploids (42.4%). In diploid progenies, the length by weight was significantly different (P<0.05) in triploid. Triploid progenies need no special adaptive environment or technique for rearing. Therefore, diploid and triploid progenies can be successfully cultured simultaneously under the same environmental condition.

Introduction: The influence of occlusal condition on the onset of temporomandibular disorder (TMD) has been strongly debated for many years and is still the source of controversy. Until 1980s, the occlusal factors such as the presence of uncured malocclusions, discrepancies between intercuspal position (ICP) and retruded contact position (RCP) greater than two millimeters, occlusal abnormality, particularly mediotrusion and retrusion, and loss of posterior teeth were considered the primary causes of TMD. Objective: The objective of our study was to find correlation of occlusion disharmonies (difference between ICP and RCP) and present sings and symptoms of TMD. Method: The study involved 60 subjects between 18 and 26 years of age who were divided in two groups. The study group consisted of 30 subjects between 18 and 26 years of age with sings and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders (TMD). TMD was confirmed according to Helkimo index. An average value of Helkimo index in this group was 1. The control group included 30 subjects between 20 and 25 years of age without TMD sings and symptoms. An average value of Helkimo index in this group was 0. The function analysis of cinematic centers position in RCP and ICP was performed in each subject using the computer pantograph Arcus-Digma (KaVo EWL GmbH, Leutkirch, Germany). Results: The results of our study showed that the translation tracing of cinematic points from RCP to ICP was significantly different in TMD subjects and asymptomatic group (p>0.16). In addition, the study revealed that 53.4 % of subjects with sings and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders had marked translation in the lower temporomandibular joint (0.61-1.2 mm) what directed to intracapsular disorders. Conclusion: The results of our study suggested significant difference of RCP and ICP between subjects with sings and symptoms of the temporomandibular disorders and subjects without sings and symptoms.

Sardina pilchardus is a multiple spawning fish, i.e., the species that spawns periodically during the spawning period. In order to examine the reproduction biology of the species, the specimens were obtained in the known spawning period indicated by the current literature obtained from fishers who were commercially fishing in December 2018 and January-February 2019. After the fork length and total length together with their weight measurements, the specimens were dissected in the laboratory. The adult females’ gonads were then fixed in 4% formalin solution for fecundity. A total of 170 individuals was examined and the values of their fork length, total length and weight were computed as 9.7-13.4 cm (mean: 11.16±0.81), 10.5-15 cm (mean: 12.3±0.89), 8.06-23.7 g (mean: 12.7±2.93), respectively. 44 of the supplied specimens were male (25.9%), 122 female (71.8%) and 4 (2.3%) uncertain, thus, the female: male ratio was determined as 2.77:1. According to χ2 test results, a statistically significant difference was observed among individuals. For the specimens examined, the fork length-weight relationship was calculated as W = 0.0098FL2.96, while total length-weight relationship was W = 0.0071TL2.97. In order to calculate the fecundity, sub-samples were taken from the anterior, median and posterior parts of 15 ovaries in the ration of 2 - 5% of the ovary weight and the mature oocytes were counted. As a result, the species’ fecundity was found to be between 4,600-9,800 (6,110±1,755). The relationship between total length and fecundity was computed as W= 1,640.7 TL-13,907 and a linear relationship was determined.

Different morphometric characters such as total length (TL), standard length (SL), head length (HL), eye diameter (ED), body depth (BD), pre-orbital length (POL) were measured on Glossogobius giuris collected from Mithamoin haor showed that percentage growth value of SL, BD, HL, ED and POL were higher in female. A linear relationship was found between total length and morphometric characters and these also showed significant positive correlation (p<0.001) between dependent and independent variables. The length-weight relationships of G. giuris were calculated for males, females. The relationship was analyzed using the formula W=aLb after transform into straight-line equitation. The equation obtained for male was; Log W = 2.757 Log TL – 1.757; for female; Log W = 2.843 Log TL – 1.868. The regression coefficients (b) between males and females did not show any significant difference (p>0.05) while b value significantly deviated from the expected cube value of 3 in case of male only thus indicating negative allometry. However, relative condition factor (Kn) of G. giuris computed for female was 1.009 ± 0.124 and for male was 1.016 ± 0.199, which suggest the specimen were healthy and in good condition. All this variation between male and female may be due to spawning cycle or other physiological activities or environmental factors.J. Bangladesh Agril. Univ. 12(2): 389-395, December 2014
