This paper is an attempt to assess if the manufacturing process of paper machine is in statistical control thereby improving the quality of paper being produced in a paper industry at the time of process itself. Quality is the foremost criteria for achieving the business target. Therefore, emphasis was made on controlling the quality of paper at the time of manufacturing process itself, rather than checking the finished lots at a later time.  This control on quality will help the industry deduct the small shift in the process parameters and modify the operating characteristics at the time of production itself rather than receiving complaints from customers at a later stage.  This paper describes controlling quality at the time of manufacture itself and helps the industry to concentrate on quality at low cost. The researcher has collected primary data at a leading paper industry during October, 2019.  Though X-bar and Range charges were primarily used, CUSUM charts were used to sense the minor shifts in manufacturing process, to explore the possibility of adjusting process parameters during manufacture of paper.

Today, the requirement of high grade papers is increasing day by day. To cater the need of high quality papers, new high-speed paper machines are being developed constantly. The whole economy of a pulp and paper industry depends on the quality of paper produced, quality of paper depends on the efficient operation of the major part of paper industry – paper machine. Paper machine is the heart of paper industry and has many subsystems. One of the important subsystem of paper machine is Headbox.   To have the desired quality papers, efficient working of headbox is highly required. To have desired operation from headbox, its precise control is necessary. The precise modelling of headbox, leads to design of efficient controllers for its proper control to get the desired response. This paper presents the mathematical modelling of headbox along with a brief review of various research performed on headbox.

The influence rules of the different parameters on automotive covering stamping forming and springback, such as blank-hold force、friction condition、draw-bead is studied using the FEM simulation software DYNAFORM combined with the elastic and plastic FEM. In practical production process, through reasonable setting of process parameters, the springback is effectively controlled, the quality of the products is improved.

Calendaring is an important operation in pulp and paper mill, with an objective to increase the smoothness or reduce the roughness of paper. Bypassing calendering operation in paper machine, paper of desired quality cannot be produced. In the present investigation, a nip mechanics model for supercalendering has been developed by expanding Meijers nip mechanics model up to fourth term, and using this model the effect of additional fourth term and various design and process parameters on results of supercalendering has been discussed using the data taken from paper industry.

Non-metallic mineral fillers strongly influence the characteristics and quality of paper. "Visocica" limestone and "Virpazar" dolomite were used to prepare paper samples in this study. The characteristics of such paper samples produced on a laboratory paper machine are presented. The used fillers and paper pulp were also characterized. The following paper characteristics were investigated: gramature, thickness, softness, air permeability, resistance to tearing and stretching, paper ash and retention. The experiments were performed in order to compare the influence of the physico-chemical and structural qualities of the examined carbonate type fillers on the paper properties. The results of the investigation indicated the technological reasons for using these non-metallic mineral raw materials as fillers in the paper industry regarding the mechanical paper characteristics, as well as other properties.

ABSTRACT   Banana fruit is a commodity that contributes a great value to both national and international fruit production achievement. The government through the National Standardization Agency establishes standards to maintain the quality of bananas. The purpose of this Project is to classify the stages of maturity of Ambon banana base on the color index using Naïve Bayes method in accordance with the regulations of SNI 7422:2009. Naive Bayes is used as a method in the classification process by comparing the probability values generated from the variable value of each model to determine the stage of Ambon banana maturity. The data used is the primary data image of 105 pieces of Ambon banana. By using 3 models which consists of different variables obtained the same greatest average accuracy by using the 2nd model which has 9 variable values (r, g, b, v, * a, * b, entropy, energy, and homogeneity) and the 3rd model has 7 variable values (r, g, b, v , * a, entropy and homogeneity) that is 90.48%.   Keywords: banana maturity, classification, image processing     ABSTRAK   Buah pisang merupakan komoditas yang memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap angka produksi buah nasional maupun internasional. Pemerintah melalui Badan Standarisasi Nasional menetapkan standar untuk buah pisang, menjaga mutu  buah pisang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah klasifikasi tahapan kematangan dari buah pisang ambon berdasarkan indeks warna menggunakan metode Naïve Bayes  sesuai dengan SNI 7422:2009. Naive bayes digunakan sebagai metode dalam proses pengklasifikasian dengan cara membandingkan nilai probabilitas yang dihasilkan dari nilai variabel penduga setiap model untuk menentukan tahap kematangan pisang ambon. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer citra pisang ambon sebanyak 105. Dengan menggunakan 3 buah model yang terdiri dari variabel penduga yang berbeda didapatkan akurasi rata-rata terbesar yang sama yaitu dengan menggunakan model ke-2 yang mempunyai 9 nilai variabel (r, g, b, v, *a, *b, entropi, energi, dan homogenitas) dan model ke-3 yang mempunyai 7 nilai variabel (r, g, b, v, *a, entropi dan homogenitas) yaitu sebesar 90.48%.   Kata Kunci : kematangan pisang,  klasifikasi, pengolahan citra

Background/Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of exercise commitment facilitated by service quality of smartphone exercise Apps on continued exercise intention and provide primary data for developing and/or improving smartphone exercise Apps. Methods/Statistical analysis: A questionnaire survey was conducted amongst college students who have experiences in using exercise App(s) and regularly exercise. The questionnaire is composed of four parts asking about service quality, exercise commitment, continued exercise intention, which were measured with a 5-point Likert Scale, and demographics. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were carried out to analyze the obtained data with PASW 18.0.

This study aims to determine how high the level of customer satisfaction with the service of PLN Rayon Kediri Kota, to determine the quality of service to customer satisfaction PLN Rayon Kediri Kota, to determine the response of the PLN Kediri Kota in dealing with customer complaints. This research was conducted in the work area of PLN Rayon Kediri Kota. The research time was on March 18, 2017 to March 24, 2017. In writing this thesis, the author uses primary data collection techniques, namely by distributing questionnaires to PLN Rayon Kediri Kota customers who come to the payment counter. and PLN District Kediri City services. Based on the results of the research, the quality of service conducted by PLN District Kediri Kota is sufficient to satisfy its customers, as evidenced by the results of a questionnaire that has been conducted on 100 respondents of PLN Rayon Kediri City.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa tinggi tingkat kepuasan pelanggan terhadap pelayanan PLN Rayon Kediri Kota, Untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan PLN Rayon Kediri Kota, Untuk mengetahui respons pihak PLN Kediri Kota dalam menghadapi keluhan pelanggannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah kerja PLN Rayon Kediri Kota. Waktu penelitian pada tanggal 18 Maret 2017 sampai dengan 24 Maret 2017. Dalam penulisan skripsi ini, penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data primer yaitu dengan membagikan kuesioner terhadap pelanggan PLN Rayon Kediri Kota yang datang ke loket pembayaran dan pelayanan PLN Rayon Kediri Kota. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kualitas pelayanan yang dilakukan oleh PLN Rayon Kediri Kota sudah cukup memuaskan pelanggannya terbukti dengan hasil kuesioner yang telah dilakukan terhadap 100 responden PLN Rayon Kediri Kota.

<em>The objective of this is research was conducted to find out how the influence of the price and quality of products against customer loyalty at PT. Alakasa Extrusindo Jakarta. This research was conducted in Alakasa Extrusindo PT by doing data collection, through the primary data and secondary data.  The research results showed that the simultaneous price variables  and product quality  has a positive and significant effect against the variable customer loyalty. partially showed that price variables has a positive and significant influence towards customer loyalty. And partially showed that product quality variables  has a positive and significant influence towards customer loyalty</em>

This research is motivated by customer satisfaction which is a customer action to save. The purpose of this study was to determine the ef ect of location, quality of savings products, service quality on customer satisfaction. In this study using primary data collected by explanatory research methods and sample collection techniques in the form of accidental sampling of BMT customers Adzkiyah Khidmatul Ummah using a questionnaire with a likert skla in BMT Adzkiyah Khidmatul Ummah in Metro City. Testing the instrument requirements used include validity, reliability testing. Requirements analysis using normality test, linearity test, homogeneity test. And analysis tools using multiple linear regression with partial test (t test), simultaneous test (f test), coef icient of determination test (R2). As testing requirements analysis and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of research using multiple linear regression analysis obtained location influences customer satisfaction, the quality of savings products does not af ect customer satisfaction, and service quality influences customer satisfaction.
