Hypertension is classified as a disease that is often called the Silent Killer. Hypertension can attack various ages, including the elderly. Hypertension in the long term will cause various complications. In the Treatment of hypertension, many natural plants can be consumed, one of which is star fruit. Sweet starfruit juice is very useful for lowering blood pressure because of its fibre, potassium, phosphorus and vitamin C content.  This study was to determine the effect of starfruit juice on lowering blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension at the integrated service centre in the working area of Rejosari Dawe Kudus Public Health Center. This study used a Quasy experiment method with a pre-test-post-test research design with a control group. A sample of 20 people, divided into two groups, namely 10 people in the experimental group and 10 people in the control group.  The results of the independent t-test, the results of the posttest systolic blood pressure p-value = 0.004, while the diastolic blood pressure posttest p-value = 0.014, so it can be seen that the p-value <0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.  In this study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of giving star fruit juice on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension at the integrated service centre in the working area of the Rejosari Dawe Kudus Community Health Center.

Introduction: Blood pressure can increase when one is aged 45 – 55 years old. The artery walls become thick due to the collagen acumulation in the muscle layers. As a result, the blood vessels will gradually narrow and become rigid. Elderly exercise is a mild exercise. It is easy to do wothour burdensome, which is dedicated to the elderly. The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of the elderly exercise on the blood pressure of the hypertension elderly at Kedaton Community Health Center. Method: This reseach used the quasi experimental method with pre and post test design. The population of research consisted of 64 respondents, 32 as the experimental group and the rest 32 as the control group. The former was exposed to the intervention of the elderly hypertension exercise. The data of research were analyzed by using T test. Result: There was an effect of the elderly hypertension exercise on the systolic blood pressure and dyastolic blood pressure of the hypertension respondents at Kedaton Community Health Center as indicated by the p value = 0,000. So H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Discussion: The health workers are required to conduct socialization and training of the elderly hipertention exercise need to socialize and train the performance skill of hipertension exercise. So, they can manage the elderly whom have hypertension by using non-pharmacological management to control blood pressure on hypertension patients.

Background: Pain during pregnancy and childbirth is a physiological process, but it leads to discomfort without pain management. Acupressure and effleurage are considered to be effective in reducing labor pain.Objective: To examine the effect of acupressure and effleurage in reducing pain during in the active phase of the first stage of labor in the community health center of Kawunganten, Cilacap regency.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design. There were 33 respondents recruited using simple random sampling. Numerical rating scale was used to measure labor pain. Data were analyzed using one way anova, Post hoc anova and repeated anova for normal data distribution. Kruskal Wallis was also used for non-normal data distribution.Results: There was a statistically significant mean difference of pain scale before and after given acupressure and effleurage (p-value <0.05). However, acupressure treatment had a greater effect  in reducing pain compared with effleurage.Conclusion: Acupressure and efflurage had a significant effect in reducing pain in mothers in the active phase of the first stage of labor. The results of this study are expected to enrich and contribute to the development of science in the field of health promotion, and  serve as an additional input for midwives in order to carry out the care of mother during labor.

One in ten adults in the world has high blood pressure. World Health Organization (WHO) year (2016) called hypertension as "an epidemic that spreads beyond. Management of hypertension from it all can be prevented through nonpharmacological therapy that is by exercising regularly. According to data obtained from the Alang-Alang Lebar Public Health Center in Palembang it is known that the number of hypertensive sufferers in 2018 is 1,781 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hypertension exercise on blood pressure reduction in the Alang - Alang Lebar Puskesmas Work Area in 2019. This research method uses Quasy Experiment with a Non-Equivolent Control Group. The population of this study was all hypertension sufferers in the Work Area of Alang-Alang Lebar Health Center in Palembang in January - March 2019 as many as 84 people. The sample used in this study was a portion of the population, namely some patients with hypertension in the Alang-Alang Lebar Puskesmas Work Area in Palembang totaling 30 respondents. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed an average value of blood pressure in the control group before hypertension was 160.56/100.56 mmHg and the intervention group averaged 159.4/96.6 mmHg. After hypertension gymnastics, the mean blood pressure in the control group was 160/99.44 mmHg and in the intervention group the average value was 136.11/93.89 mmHg. The results of the bivariate analysis revealed that there was an effect of hypertension exercise on the reduction of blood pressure in the Work Area of Palembang Alang-Alang Lebar Health Center in 2019 p value = 0,000. The results of this study can be used as one of the considerations in providing alternative non-pharmacological therapies in non-communicable disease (PTM) programs at the Alang-Alang Lebar Health Center in Palembang.

Introduction Data obtained from the working area of Puskesmas Tumpaan found that hypertension in the elderly was the first prominent disease in the range of January-December 2017, as many as 465 patients and in 2018 the number of patients was 510. Based on preliminary studies of elderly people with high blood pressure, said their blood pressure often increases because they do not adhere to a diet. Lack of support from family members can influence the compliance behavior of implementing a hypertension diet. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between family support and adherence to the diet of elderly people with hypertension in the work area of the Puskesmas Tumpaan in the coastal areas and and mountain areas. This type of research is Correlation Analytic with cross sectional design. The population in this study is the elderly with hypertension. The sampling technique uses proportional random sampling with a total of 84 people divided into 42 people in coastal areas and 42 people in mountain areas and data analysis techniques using the Chi Square test. The results showed that in the coastal areas 31% of respondents with good family support, 40% of respondents had adequate family support and 29% of respondents had less family support while 52% showed adherent diet adherence and 48% adherence to non-adherent diet. The results of the chi-square statistical test (Pearson chi-square) obtained a P-value of 0.008, meaning that the P-value <0.05. The results of the study in the mountain areas of 40% of respondents with good family support, 31% of respondents with adequate family support and 29% of respondents with less family support, 57% showed adherent diet adherence and 43% of adherent diet adherence. The results of the chi-square statistical test (Pearson chi-square) obtained a P-value of 0.021, meaning that the P-value <0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship of family support with adherence to the diet of elderly patients with hypertension in both coastal and mountain areas.

Hypertension is a condition where a person's blood pressure reaches 140/90 mmHg. Hypertension is the silent disease that causes death in Indonesia. Elderly people mostly suffer from hypertension. This study aims to investigate the correlationof emotional support and dietary compliance of elderly patients with hypertension around the area of Sukomulyo Community Health Center, Manyar subdistrict, Gresik. This study was an observational analytical research, based on the data collection.This research employed a cross sectional method. The samples used simple random sampling with a sample size of 37 respondents who were elderly patients with hypertension. The respondents’ characteristicswere mostly female with the age criteria of 60- 70 years old, and working as housewives. Meanwhile, the characteristics based on education level suggested that more than half of the respondents were high school graduates. Almost all respondents got emotional support with good category (83.8%), and most respondents were quite obedient in doing diet reaching 67.6%. The result of statistical test of the correlation between emotional support andthe adherence of elderly diet of hypertension show a p-value of 0.552.There is no correlation between family emotional support and the compliance of elderly diet in hypertensive patients in the integrated health postof elderly in the working area of Sukomulyo Community Health Center. The elderly’s family is expected to provide more attention to the elderly to be obedient in having the hypretensive diet.

Background: The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia is 45.9% for 55-64 years old, 57.6% for 65-74 years old and 63.8% for >75 years old. It is estimated that people with hypertension in Indonesia reach 15 million people but only 4% are controlled hypertension. The prevalence is 6-15% in the elderly, 50% are not aware of being hypertensive patients, so they tend to become severe hypertension because they do not avoid and do not know the risk factors and 90% are essential hypertension.The Purpose  Knowing the effect of giving cucumber juice on blood pressure in postmenopausal women in the work area of the Puskesmas baktijaya, south tangerang city in 2021 in the intervention group and control group.Methodology: The researcher used a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and with control design. The sample in this study amounted to 36 people consisting of 18 intervention groups and 18 control groups. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of an observation sheet on the state of blood pressure in patients with hypertension before being given cucumber juice and changes in blood pressure in postmenopausal women with hypertension after being given cucumber juice.Research result: There was an effect of giving cucumber juice on decreasing blood pressure in the intervention group with a mean rank of 13.72 and in the control group with a mean rank of 23.28. With a p value of 0.005 < 0.05. There is an effect of giving cucumber juice to decrease diastolic blood pressure in the intervention group with a mean rank of 23.94 and in the control group with a mean rank of 13.06. With a p value of 0.001 <0.05.Conclusions and suggestions: Giving cucumber juice can affect the reduction of blood pressure in postmenopausal women. Suggestion giving cucumber juice to menopausal women or the public can be applied and consumed regularly. Keywords:Menopausal Women, Hypertension, Cucumber ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Prevalensi  hipertensi di  Indonesia  sebesar  45,9%  untuk  umur  55-64 tahun, 57,6% umur 65-74 tahun dan 63,8%  umur >75 tahun. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 36 orang yang terdiri dari 18 kelompok intervensi dan 18 kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari pada  lembar  observasi  keadaan  tekanan  darah pada  penderita  hipertensi sebelum diberikan jus mentimun dan  perubahan  tekanan  darah  pada  wanita menopause yang mengalami hipertensi setelah diberikan jus mentimun.Hasil Penelitian: Ada pengaruh pemberian jus mentimun terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada kelompok intervensi dengan mean rank 13,72 dan pada kelompok kontrol dengan mean rank 23,28. Dengan nilai p value sebesar 0,005 < 0,05. Ada pengaruh  pemberian jus mentimun terhadap penurunan tekanan darah diastolik pada kelompok intervensi dengan mean rank 23,94 dan pada kelompok kontrol dengan mean rank 13,06. nilai p value sebesar 0,001 < 0,05.Simpulan Pemberian jus mentimun dapat berpengaruh terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada wanita menopause.Saran pemberian jus mentimun pada wanita menopause atau masyarakat dapat diterapkan dan dikonsumsi secara rutin. Kata Kunci : Wanita Menopause, Hipertensi, Mentimun

Background: Hypertension is called the silent killer because it does not provide specific symptoms, it can increase the incidence of strokes, heart attacks, chronic kidney disease if not controlled and controlled properly. Management of hypertension is generally with pharmacological therapy that has not shown improvement. Non-pharmacological treatment using rosella flower tea which functions to open blood vessels wider, reduce blood viscosity and increase urine production so as to reduce blood volume. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of rosella tea on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients.  Methods: This study uses a quasi-experiment design with the two-group pre-test and post-test design approach. This research was conducted on patients with hypertension at the Padang city health center with an intervention group of 16 respondents and a control of 16 respondents. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate using independent t-test statistics.  Results: The results of the study showed the average blood pressure in the systolic pretest intervention group 147.81 for 94.69 diastole and posttest systole 129.06 posttest diastole 78.75 while the control group for systole pretest 154.6 for diastole 96.25 and posttest without posttest treatment systole 129.06 postest diastole 78.75. Obtained a p value 0,000 statistical test for systole and a p value 0,000 diastole.  Conclusions: There is an effect of rosella flower tea on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension at the Padang city health center.

Background: Optimal nutrition from an early age can be achieved through exclusive breastfeeding (ASI). Lack of milk production is one reason why mothers decide to give formula milk to their babies. Preliminary study at Public Health Center of Batealit Jepara indicated that 60% of mothers unable to breastfeed optimally, thus, breast care and oxytocin massage are proposed to increase milk secretion in postpartum mothers.Objective: To examine the effect of combination of breast care and oxytocin massage on breast milk secretion in postpartum mothers.Methods: This was a quasy experimental study with non-randomized control trial with pretest-posttest control group, conducted in the working area of the Community Health Center of Batealit of Jepara from December 5, 2016 to January 15, 2017. There were 44 postpartum mothers recruited in this study using purposive sampling, which 22 assigned in the experiment and control group. Data were analyzed using dependent t-test and Mann Whitney test.Results: There was a significant increase of breast milk secretion in the experiment and control group with p-value 0.000 (<0.05). In the experiment group, there was an increase of breast milk seceretion from 17.09 to 220.91 cc, and in the control group there was also an increase from 17.09 to 72.00 cc. The mean difference of breast milk secretion between pretest and posttest in the experiment group was 203.82 and in the control group was 54.90 with p-value 0.000 (<0.05)Conclusion: There was a significant increase of breast milk secretion in postpartum mothers after given the combination of oxytocin massage and breast care in the experiment group compared with the education and counseling about breast care in the control group. Thus, this result can be used as an evidence to perform oxytocin massage and breast care to increase the secretion of breast milk in postpartum mothers.

Menurut data yang diperoleh dari Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi NTB tahun 2017 menunjukkan bahwa cakupan pemberian ASI Eksklusif pada bayi rata-rata di sebesar 77,66%, cakupan ini turun jika tahun 2016 sebesar 86,63%. Berdasarkan data Dinas Kesehatan Kota Mataram tahun 2018 cakupan ASI Eksklusif (AE5) yaitu sebesar 50,66% diseluruh puskesmas Kota Mataram dan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Karang Pule persentasi cakupan ASI yaitu sebesar 27,69%.Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui metode demonstrasi mengenai posisi dan perlekatan terhadap kecukupan ASI pada bayi usia 0-6 bulan di kelurahan Karang Pule Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Karang Pule tahun 2019. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Quasi Eksperiment. Dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Total sampling dimana semua populasi bayi usia 0-6 bulan dijadikan sampel berjumlah 38 orang. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan Mann Whitney U-test. Pada kelompok intervensi nilai minimal-maksimal keterampilan sebelum diberikan pendidikan kesehatan untuk  kelompok intervensi didapatkan hasil (8-16), pada posttest didapatkan hasil (13-19). Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol dengan nilai minimal-maksimal didapatkan hasil nilai pretest (8-11) dan pada posttest didapatkan hasil (18-18). Uji analisis keterampilan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon pada kelompok intervensi didapatkan hasil p value = 0.000 dan kelompok kontrol hasil p value = 0.000. hasil uji Mann Whitney untuk kecukupan ASI didapatkan hasil nilai p value = 0.039. terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pendidikan kesehatan melalui metode demonstrasi terhadap kecukupan ASI pada bayi usia 0-6 bulan. Terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan melalui metode demonstrasi mengeani posisi dan perlekatan terhadap kecukupan ASI ada bayi usia 0-6 bulan di Kelurahan Karang Pule Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Karang Pule Tahun 2019. According to data obtained from the NTB Provincial Health Office in 2017 shows that the coverage of Exclusive Breastfeeding for infants is at an average of 77.66%, this coverage decreases if 2016 is 86.63%. Based on data from the City of Mataram Health Office in 2018 Exclusive breastfeeding coverage (AE5) is 50.66% in all Mataram City health centers and in the Karang Pule Community Health Center Working Area, the percentage of ASI coverage is 27.69%.Objectives to find out whether there is an effect of health education through demonstration methods regarding the position and attachment to the adequacy of breastfeeding in infants aged 0-6 months in Karang Pule Village, Karang Pule Health Center Working Area in 2019.The design of this study used the Quasi Experiment design. With the sampling technique that is Total sampling where all populations of infants aged 0-6 years were sampled as many as 38 people. Test the hypothesis using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Whitney U-test.in the intervention group the minimum score of skills before being given health education for the intervention group was obtained (8-16), in the posttest the results were obtained (13-19). Whereas in the control group with the minimum-maximum value obtained the results of the pretest (8-11) and the posttest results (18-18). Test the skills analysis using the Wilcoxon test in the intervention group obtained results p value = 0,000 and the control group results p value = 0,000. The results of the Mann Whitney test for the adequacy of ASI were obtained by the value of p value = 0.039. there is a significant effect of health education through the demonstration method on the adequacy of breastfeeding in infants aged 0-6 months.There is the influence of health education through demonstration methods to treat the position and attachment to the adequacy of breast milk there are infants aged 0-6 months in Karang Pule Village Karang Pule Health Center Working Area in 2019

It has been documented that elderly are more prone to psychological problems and depression is the commonest geriatric psychiatric disorders. In fact the elderly in India face a multitude of psychological, social and physical health problems. In a cross-sectional study, it was found that in persons 65 years and older, the perceived adequacy of emotional and tangible support was clearly associated with depressive symptoms.  Aim and Objective: This study intends to see the relationship between depression and social support among depressive and non-depressive elderly. Samples and Methods: This study comprised of 60 (30 with depression and 30 without depression) participants of age 60 or above. The sample was selected with purposive incidental sampling technique. Material used: GDS-30 and PGI- SSQ were administered after taking consent. Results and conclusion: Result shows the comparison of means between depressive (case-group) and non-depressive (control-group) as per the scores on Social Support Questionnaire (SSQ). The mean score (40.53) of depressive group was lesser than that of non-depressive group (50.30). The t-value (20.373) was found to be statistically significant at 0.01. (p-value 0.000). Conclusion: In brief, the findings of the study show that depressed people perceive lack of social support than non-depressed elderly people. It has been observed that social support is a protective factor from depression in elderly people.
