Background: Hypertension is called the silent killer because it does not provide specific symptoms, it can increase the incidence of strokes, heart attacks, chronic kidney disease if not controlled and controlled properly. Management of hypertension is generally with pharmacological therapy that has not shown improvement. Non-pharmacological treatment using rosella flower tea which functions to open blood vessels wider, reduce blood viscosity and increase urine production so as to reduce blood volume. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of rosella tea on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients.  Methods: This study uses a quasi-experiment design with the two-group pre-test and post-test design approach. This research was conducted on patients with hypertension at the Padang city health center with an intervention group of 16 respondents and a control of 16 respondents. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate using independent t-test statistics.  Results: The results of the study showed the average blood pressure in the systolic pretest intervention group 147.81 for 94.69 diastole and posttest systole 129.06 posttest diastole 78.75 while the control group for systole pretest 154.6 for diastole 96.25 and posttest without posttest treatment systole 129.06 postest diastole 78.75. Obtained a p value 0,000 statistical test for systole and a p value 0,000 diastole.  Conclusions: There is an effect of rosella flower tea on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension at the Padang city health center.

One in ten adults in the world has high blood pressure. World Health Organization (WHO) year (2016) called hypertension as "an epidemic that spreads beyond. Management of hypertension from it all can be prevented through nonpharmacological therapy that is by exercising regularly. According to data obtained from the Alang-Alang Lebar Public Health Center in Palembang it is known that the number of hypertensive sufferers in 2018 is 1,781 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hypertension exercise on blood pressure reduction in the Alang - Alang Lebar Puskesmas Work Area in 2019. This research method uses Quasy Experiment with a Non-Equivolent Control Group. The population of this study was all hypertension sufferers in the Work Area of Alang-Alang Lebar Health Center in Palembang in January - March 2019 as many as 84 people. The sample used in this study was a portion of the population, namely some patients with hypertension in the Alang-Alang Lebar Puskesmas Work Area in Palembang totaling 30 respondents. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed an average value of blood pressure in the control group before hypertension was 160.56/100.56 mmHg and the intervention group averaged 159.4/96.6 mmHg. After hypertension gymnastics, the mean blood pressure in the control group was 160/99.44 mmHg and in the intervention group the average value was 136.11/93.89 mmHg. The results of the bivariate analysis revealed that there was an effect of hypertension exercise on the reduction of blood pressure in the Work Area of Palembang Alang-Alang Lebar Health Center in 2019 p value = 0,000. The results of this study can be used as one of the considerations in providing alternative non-pharmacological therapies in non-communicable disease (PTM) programs at the Alang-Alang Lebar Health Center in Palembang.

Hypertension is an abnormal increase in blood pressure in the arteries continuously for more than one period. Handling of hypertension can be done with secondary prevention such as nostril breathing and back massage techniques. This study aims to determine the effect of nostril breathing and back massage on lowering blood pressure in hypertension in the working area of Pertamina Jaya Hospital. The research design used was a quantitative research design with the research method Quasy Experiment pretest and posttest with the control group. The total sample was 76 respondents who experienced hypertension. The nostril breathing and back massage intervention group consisted of 38 respondents and the control group 38. Blood pressure was measured using a tool. The statistical test used is the dependent t-test and the results obtained are systolic 0.000 and p-value diastolic 0.000. Based on the results of the analysis, this non-pharmacological therapy affects reducing blood pressure.

Post partum hypertension contributes to maternal mortality. Postpartum hypertension management can be in the form of pharmacological therapy, but it causes side effects for mother and baby. Several studies have shown that chayote can play a role in lowering blood pressure. This research aimed to prove the effect of chayote extract on reducing blood pressure in postpartum with hypertension. Quasy experiment pretest and posttest control group design. The number of samples was 19 interventions and 19 controls. The intervention group received 400 mg of chayote extract and 10 mg of nifedipine, while the control group received only 10 mg of nifedipine. The intervention was carried out for 7 days. The treatment group experienced significant changes in systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure with p value = 0.000 compared to the control group. The chayote extract has a significant effect on reducing blood pressure in postpartum with hypertension

Hypertension in preeclampsia is found in pregnant women with gestational age> 20 weeks. Hypertension is defined where systolic pressure above 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure above 90 mmHg. Handling hypertension in pregnant women up to now is still using pharmacological therapy or drugs by 100%. One nonpharmacological therapy that can lower blood pressure is aromatherapy lavender massage therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy massage on blood pressure reduction in pregnant women with preeclampsia.The design of this study used the Quasy Experiment Design with the Control Time Series Design research design, where the study used two groups divided into experimental groups and control groups. In this study both groups were pre-tested and after being given treatment in the experimental group a post-test was carried out in both groups. The research sample amounted to 50 respondents, of which 25 respondents became the experimental group and 25 became the control group. This research took place at PBM. Lilis Suryawati, Sambong village, Dukuh, Jombang District, Jombang Regency. This research was conducted from February to April 201.                    The results showed a significant difference between the blood pressure of the experimental group who were treated and the control group that was not treated. The systolic blood pressure of both groups p-value 0.003 and the value of Z -4.007. While diastolic blood pressure in both groups p-value 0,000 and Z value -5,559.                    It is expected that the midwifery profession can provide information about the importance of aromatherapy lavender massage to reduce blood pressure in pregnant women with preeclampsia, so that it can minimize the occurrence of complications in pregnant women with preeclampsia.

Background: Gouty arthritis is a disease caused by metabolic disorders with an increase in uric acid concentration which causes local joint pain. The management of gouty arthritis with pharmacological therapy usually uses several conventional drugs. The high prevalence of chronic pain experienced by sufferers has made the patient undergo non-pharmacological therapy with cold compresses (cryotherapy) to be more appropriate for joints with signs of inflammation such as redness and swelling that occur in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Ice (ice packs) and ice water in the treatment of injuries and treatment modalities commonly used in the management of pain and injuries.Methods: This study used a quasi-experiment design with a two-group pre-test and post-test design approach. This study was conducted on patients with gout arthritis at PSTW Budi Luhur Jambi city with 16 respondent and control groups respectively. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate using the independent t-test.Results: The results showed the average decreased levels of pain in patients with gouty arthritis in the control group without treatment pretest 3:50 whereas for the average posttest 3:19 and the average value decreased levels of pain in patients with gouty arthritis in the intervention group before performed cryotherapy 3:38 while for the average after treatment is 1.38, the statistical test p value is 0.000Conclusions: The influence cryotherapy to decrease rate gout arthritis pain in patients PSTW Budi Luhur in the city of Jambi.

Hypertension is one of the deadliest diseases in the world which is often called the silent killer. The disease is dangerous because it deals with the cardiovascular, circulatory system is functioning to provide and circulate oxygen supply and nutrients to all tissues and organs are needed in the process of metabolism. Even the estimated number of people with hypertension will increase to 1.6 billion by 2025. This study aims to determine the effect of carrot juice therapy to decrease blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This Quasi-experimental study used a sample of 20 respondents, each intervention group and control group 10 respondents. Data collected and analyzed to meet the criteria using univariate and bivariate using T-test, which consists of test Paired Samples T-test and Independent t-tests. The results showed that there is influence of carrot juice therapy to decrease blood pressure in hypertensive patients, with a value of p = 0.000 for systolic and p-value = 0.001 for diastolic (p-value < 0.05). The results also indicate that there are significant differences between blood pressure reduction in the intervention group and control group (p-value < 0.05). This research is expected to be useful as an input to the world of nursing, family, and especially the client to learn more about nonpharmacological treatment of blood pressure reduction.

Elderly (elderly) is a group of people who experience a process of gradual change over a period of time and are at risk of experiencing various health problems. Problems that are often experienced by elderly people are malnutrition, balance disorders, and the cardiovascular system, namely hypertension. Objective: To determine the effect of betel leaf decoction on blood pressure reduction in elderly hypertension in Pasuruhan village, Mertoyudan district, Magelang regency. Method: The research design used in this study was a quasi experiment using two groups pre post test with control group design. The number of samples was 36 for the intervention group and 36 for the control group. Hypothesis test analysis using Wilcoxon test analysis. Results: The results of statistical tests showed the effect of betel leaf decoction on blood pressure reduction in elderly hypertension in Pasuruhan village, Mertoyudan district, Magelang regency. p-value = 0.000 (<0.05), with a mean pre-test of 167/115 mmHg and post-test was 157/105 mmHg in the intervention group. The average control group of blood pressure before treatment was 169/119 mmHg and after treatment was 162/113 mmHg. Conclusion: There is an effect of betel leaf decoction on decreasing blood pressure in elderly hypertension in Pasuruhan village, Mertoyudan district, Magelang regency. Suggestion: Decoction of betel leaf can be given as a support therapy for hypertensive patients.

Elderly tend to experience health problems caused by decreased body function due to aging process. The most common health disorder experienced by elderly is the decline of the cardiovascular system. Heart valve thickens and becomes stiff, the heart's ability to pump blood decreases by 1% per year, decreased cardiac output, decreased heart rate to stress response, loss of elasticity of blood vessels, increased blood pressure due to peripheral vascular resistance. This study aims to determine the effect of elderly gymnastics on changes in blood pressure in the elderly in the work area of ​​Rappokalling  Health Center. The research design used was pre-experiment with one group pre-test-post test, with the number of samples counted 14 people. Sampling in this research is non probability sampling. Intervention given that elderly gymnastics performed for 3 weeks with a frequency of 3 times a week duration 15-30 minutes. Data were tested with Paired Sample T-test. The results of this study indicate a significant difference in elderly gymnastics treatment to changes in systolic blood pressure (p value 0.02) and diastolic blood pressure (p value 0,000) in elderly hypertension in the work area of ​​Rappokalling  Health Center so it can be concluded there is influence of elderly exercise decrease in blood pressure in elderly hypertension and it is expected that elderly gymnastic exercises can routinely be non-pharmacological therapy in the provision of nursing care in elderly patients.

<p>Kasus Hipertensi meningkat setiap tahunnya, dan menempati urutan pertama 10 penyakit terbanyak di Kota Sungai Penuh. Kasus yang ditandai dengan peningkatan tekanan darah abnormal ini, dapat mengakibatkan beban kerja jantung meningkat, dan menimbulkan kerusakan jantung serta pembuluh darah, sehingga sering menyebabkan kematian. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Teknik Relaksasi Benson terhadap Tekanan Darah pada Penderita Hipertensi<em>.</em><em> </em>Jenis penelitian <em>Quasy Exsperiment</em>, dengan <em>Two Group Pretest Posttest With Control Design</em>. Populasi: seluruh penderita hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sungai Penuh berjumlah 412 orang, dengan teknik <em>accidental sampling </em>sebanyak 16 responden. Analisa data menggunakan univariat dan bivariat dengan <em>t-test Independent</em>. Hasil didapatkan rerata tekanan darah kelompok kontrol: pretest sistolik 162.13 dan diastolik 112.88, sedangkan <em>posttest</em> sistolik 140.50 dan diastolik 87.00. Kelompok intervensi: pre test sistolik 163.50 dan diastolik 113.50, sedangkan post test sistolik 131.50 dan diastolik 78.63. Terdapat pengaruh teknik relaksasi benson terhadap tekanan darah penderita Hipertensi dengan p <em>value</em> kelompok kontrol 0.026 dan kelompok intervensi 0.023. Disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan tekan darah baik sebelum dan sesudah pemberian terapi,<em> </em>sehingga dapat dilanjutkan secara mandiri oleh penderita Hipertensi. Disarankan melalui kepala puskesmas untuk dapat menjadikan terapi ini sebagai terapi alternatif utama dalam menurunkan tekanan darah.  <strong></strong></p><p> </p><p><em>Hypertension cases increase every year and ranks first 10 most diseases in Sungai Penuh City.</em><em> </em><em>Hypertension is marked by an increase in abnormal blood pressure, thereby increasing the workload of the heart, and potentially causing damage to the heart and blood vessels. </em><em>The aim of the study was to determine the effect of Benson Relaxation Technique on blood pressure in Hypertension Patients. </em><em>This research uses Quasy Exsperiment design with Two Group </em><em>Pretest</em><em> Posttest With Control Design</em><em>. The study population was all hypertensive patients in the Sungai Penuh Community Health Center with a total of 412 people. The sampling technique was purposive sampling arround 16 respondents. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate with Independent t-test statistical test.</em><em> </em><em>The results showed the mean blood pressure in the control group: pretest systolic 162.13 and diastolic 112.88, posttest systolic 140.50 and diastolic 87.00. In the intervention group, pretest systolic 163.50 and diastolic 113.50, posttest systolic 131.50 and diastolic 78.63, and there was an effect of the benson relaxation technique on blood pressure in control group (p-value 0.026) and intervention group (p-value 0.023)</em><em>.</em><em> </em><em>It was concluded that there were differences in blood pressure both before and after the administration of therapy, so that it could be continued independently by hypertension sufferers. </em><em>It is recommended through the head of the health center to be able to make this therapy as the main alternative therapy in reducing blood pressure.</em></p><p> </p>

One third of women who have hypertension in pregnancy will continue to have high blood pressure during the postpartum period. Potential adjuvant pharmacological therapy is needed, one of them is purple yam extract which contains flavonoids and dioscorin. This type of research is a quasi experiment. The research respondents consisted of 16 people treated with purple yam extract 320 mg/day and nifedipine 10 mg/day and 16 people were given nifedipin 10 mg/day for 14 days. The results of the study were the systolic of the intervention group decreased by 28.12 mmHg and the control group decreased by 8.94 mmHg with a p-value of 0,000. The diastolic of the intervention group decreased by 18.43 mmHg and the control group decreased by 3.75 mmHg with a p-value of 0,000. The conclusion of this study is purple yam extract has the potential as an alternative therapy to reduce blood pressure in postpartum hypertension.
