It is indicated that the process of professional training in the higher education establishments should be aimed at the formation of a competitive specialist, taking into account the needs of employers and the realities of today.  Volunteering is presented as an important resource for development and education of the specialists of different specialties because from the one hand volunteering allows to get general competencies and from the other hand it allows to gain the necessary experience in the future professional activities even during training process. The wide use of volunteering as a trend of educational work in higher education institutions will contribute to the formation of a coherent and harmonious personality and professional. The experience of usage of volunteering as a field of educational work in higher education institution on the example of the State Technical University “Azov State Technical University” is analyzed. The use of a new tool in the educational process - the diary of volunteer practice - is analyzed. The results of the conducted sociological research - through the method of interviewing of the applicants of higher education - according to the effectiveness of the organization of volunteer practice are presented. Volunteering can increase students' motivation to learn vocationally-oriented disciplines, but under the conditions of properly organized and controlled process of volunteeing. Quarantine restrictions have increased the relevance of distance learning, and the level of information and communication technology development has made it possible for the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to switch to online mode, this being the optimal solution amid the pandemic. The object of this paper is to analyse the practical aspects of distance learning under quarantine and to identify the key factors affecting its efficiency. The assessment of the distant technologies use during the educational process and its efficiency was carried out by means of anonymous online questionnaire survey of the students from 4 higher education institutions: University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, National Transport University, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and Separated structural subdivision of the Kyiv College of Municipal Economy of The V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University. The research has revealed the level of technical provision for distance learning; the level and practical experience of using distance technologies by the participants of the educational process was determined; the behavioural factors (students’ attendance and teachers’ adherence to the class schedule and thematic outlines) were examined; motivational factors of students’ learning online were analysed; the most significant benefits of distance learning were examined; the higher education students’ attitude to the blended and distance forms of learning was determined. It has been substantiated that distance learning organisation in the institution based on a single shared platform is a prerequisite for ensuring a highly effective online learning process. The practical value of the paper lies in the application of the survey results to enhance and increase the distance learning efficiency at the higher education institution level

It’s proved that it’s necessary to study the activity of domestic, pedagogical institutions of higher education from the standpoint of the history of pedagogy, to describe in detail the educational-methodical and scientific-organizational work of institutes/universities and individual figures of the domestic educational branch. This approach allows: to reproduce a holistic picture of the development of the national education system, to track the formation and development of pedagogical ideas, concepts, which have their continuation in the modern scientific and pedagogical discourse. Although domestic science has significant achievements in various areas of historical and pedagogical knowledge, it still needs its study and generalization of step-by-step comprehensive reproduction of the history of individual institutions of higher education. Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University is 90 years old, so there is a need to study its experience in training teachers, as the institute was and remains the only specialized (pedagogical) institution of higher education in the Dnieper region. The author of the article believes that a significant contribution to the development of the Kryvyi Rih Pedagogical Institute was made by the rector - Pavel Ivanovich Shevchenko, who began working in the position in the late 70's of the twentieth century. At the beginning of his organizational-pedagogical and scientific-methodical activity the rector identified the main areas of work that contributed to the development of the university: quality training of part-time students (organization of independent work, cooperation with teachers, individualization of the learning process), general pedagogization of the educational process. organization of pedagogical practice, development of methodical recommendations on pedagogical practice, cooperation between methodologists of different departments) raising the level of qualification cadre of KPI (defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations, internships) and research (group) work of students. The author is convinced that certain areas remain relevant in modern conditions. The formation of the student's personality in higher pedagogical educational institutions will be effective only if the historical educational experience accumulated in Ukraine is used, thorough study, objective assessment and creative understanding of which will help to introduce the best achievements of higher education into modern pedagogical theory and practice.

The process of linguocultural competence formation among different categories of educational migrants is outlined. The functions of the socially educational process at the university as the main factor of socialization of foreigners were determined. Bracey, J. Buckroyd, J. Butterworth, B. Cohen, A. Green Gilbert, R. Lakes, L. Lavender, G. Morris, S. Popat, J. Smith-Autard, E. Warburton, D. Watson and others have been studied. The list of web-based technologies and tools used to improve the educational process, inspire and encourage both teachers and students to develop their critical thinking and reveal their potential has been presented. The most common of them have been characterized. They are: The Dance Designer, Wholodance, The Choreographer’s Notebook, Multimodal Video Annotator and DanceForms. It has been found out that one of the possible ways how to overcome the problems while incorporating web-based technologies and tools into the traditional system of education and teaching choreography, in particular, is the balanced combination of web-technologies and tools with a participative approach to teacher-student interaction. It has been concluded that web-based technologies and tools can be categorized as motivational methods appealing to students’ cognitive, emotional and behavioural engagement characterized by such attributes as innovation, easy usage and sharing, content control, motivational appeal, etc.

At the moment, the creation of methodological support for academic disciplines is an urgent problem of organizing the educational process in higher education institutions. As you know, the methodological support for the study of an academic discipline consists of four independent methodological documents: the program of the academic discipline, the working program of the academic discipline, the syllabus and the electronic educational and methodological complex of the discipline. The purpose of the study is a comparative analysis of these documents to determine their role in the organization of the educational process. The program of the academic discipline is the main normative document that determines the place and significance of the discipline in the implementation of the educational and professional training of the student, its content, the amount of knowledge, skills and abilities determined by the relevant competencies, as well as the sequence and organizational forms of studying the academic discipline. It is developed by one of the highly educated teachers of the department, discussed at a meeting of the department and approved by it, after which it becomes a working methodological document of the department. Based on a comparative analysis of the structure and content of the program, work program, syllabus and educational-methodological complex of the discipline, which are the main components of educational and methodological support for the study of the discipline, it has been established that all components of the work program in one form or another are repeated in the syllabus and educational-methodological complex discipline. At the same time, in contrast to the work program of the discipline, in the last two methodological components, these components have a large semantic content that is necessary in the educational work of students. In addition, the information contained in the syllabus and the educational-methodical complex of the discipline, the student can use at any time, since these documents are contained in electronic form on the websites of libraries of higher educational institutions and departments, which own the discipline, and the work program of the discipline is stored in paper form at the department and students' access to it is limited. The conducted comparative analysis leads to the conclusion that the work program of the academic discipline is not a necessary link in the methodological support of the discipline study.
