Kata Kunci: Indeks Massa Tubuh, Kejadian Anemia AbstractWomen of Reproductive Age (WRA) are an age group with a fairly high anemia prevalence in Indonesia, increasing from 19.7% (2007) to 22.4% (2013). Iron status of premarital women affects maternal and neonatal outcomes during pregnancy. The relationship between the Body Mass Index (BMI) and anemia is controversial. Underweight indicates of inadequate dietary intake of micronutrients associated with anemia. In other study, overweight/obesity also increase anemia risk because release of proinflammatory cytokines (Interleukin-6) and which stimulates release of hepsidin and decrease iron absorbtion. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between body mass index with the incidence of anemia in premarital WRA. This research was an observational analytic type with a cross sectional approach performed on 36 premarital WRA (18 with anemia and 18 without anemia) in Koto Tangah District, Padang. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling. Body height is measured by microtoice and body weight is measured by manual scale. Hemoglobin was examined with the cyanmethemoglobin method at the Andalas University Biochemistry. Bivariate test was carried out by Chi Square test. The results showed overweight women is the highest percentage (66,7%) in anemia group. There was no relationship between BMI and the incidence of anemia (p > 0.05). The study concluded that there was no relationship between BMI and anemia. Keywords: Body Mass Index, Anemia

Body mass index (BMI) is to monitor nutritional status adults, especially those related to deficiency and overweight. Body fat percentage can describe the risk of degenerative diseases. This study was conducted to measure the relationship between BMI and body fat percentage. Methods An analytical study was conducted to 41 male and 51 female participant from Universitas Teuku Umar. The body weight was measured using scales, whereas the body height was measured using microtoise. The body fat percentage was measured using Karada Scan. The BMI was calculated by dividing the body weight in kilogram divided by body height in meter square. Data was collected from 16-18th February 2021 and analyzed by Pearson’s correlation test. The results showed BMI underweight, normal, and overweight were 10,9, 57,6, and 31,5. High body fat percentage in men were 75,6% and in women were 35,5%. There is a relationship between the nutritional status of the women group and the body fat percentage with p-value is obtained = 0.021. Furthermore, for men, there is no relationship between nutritional status in the men group and the body fat percentage. There is a relationship between nutritional status and body fat percentage in women. Among this population, BMI can still be used to determine body fat percentage

ABSTRACT: EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP AND WORKING SCHEDULE WITH BODY MASS INDEX IN YOSODADI PUSKESMAS WORKING AREA METRO CITY Introduction: The coverage of children under five in Lampung Province in 2019 was 79%, and this figure was above the target (76.18%). This figure illustrates that participation from the community to come to posyandu is still quite good in Lampung Province, while for Metro City the percentage of data is weighted at 78.8%. Data obtained through the Metro City Health Office in 2020 at the Yosodadi Health Center obtained as many as 656 toddlers aged 1-5 years who were weighingObjective: To find out the relationship between work and work schedule with the body mass index of toddlers aged 1-5 years. Methods: This type of research is quantitative. The design in this study uses an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The population is mothers and children aged 3-5 years, which is then calculated using the Slovin formula to obtain 197 children. Sampling technique purposive sampling Analysis of univariate and bivariate data using the chi-square test. Results: working mothers as many as 107 respondents (54.3%)., standard work schedule is 8 hours per day as many as 109 respondents (55.3%), BMI is not ideal, namely < 18.5 and > 22.9 as many as 103 respondents ( 52.3%. The results of statistical tests using the chi-square test obtained p-value = 0.000 (<α0.05), p-value = 0.085 (>α0.05).Conclusion: The results of statistical tests using the chi-square test obtained p-value = 0.000 (<α0.05) which means the relationship between mother's work and body mass index of toddlers aged 3-5. The p-value = 0.085 (>α0.05) means that there is no relationship between the mother's work schedule and the body mass index of children aged 3-5 years. It is recommended that parents who have toddlers with underweight and obese nutritional status should pay more attention to parenting patterns Keywords            :  Mother's Work Work Schedule, Toddler Body Mass Index  INTISARI: HUBUNGAN PEKERJAAN DAN JADWAL KERJA DENGAN INDEKS MASSA TUBUH BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS YOSODADI KOTA METRO   Pendahuluan: Cakupan balita ditimbang di Provinsi lampung tahun 2019 sebesar 79 %, dimana angka ini diatas target (76,18%). Background: Scoliosis is a deformity of spine that has excessive lateral curve. The deformity could becaused by postural adaptation to an imbalance of local trunk muscles or by another risk factors. There are tworisk factors, that are obesity and physical activity, which have not been studied in Indonesia yet about theircorrelation with scoliosis The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between body mass index andphysical activity with scoliosis in young adults.Method: Study design was cross sectional. The subjects were High School students in Depok, recruited byconsecutive non-random sampling. The body mass index (BMI) was measured by body weight (Kg)/bodyheight (m2). The intensity of physical activity measured subjectively by International Physical ActivityQuestionnaires (IPAQ). Detection of postural scoliosis was by inspection and palpation and the deviationmeasured by scoliometer. The data were presence in univariate and bivariate, analyzed by the Pearsen Chisquare. Results: This study conducted in 165 subjects, the mean of age was 16-17 years old. There was no correlationbetween BMI and scoliosis (p=0,11). However the higher intensity of physical activity has correlated with thelower frequency of scoliosis (p=0.00).Conclusions: The lower intensity of physical activity increase the frequency of the postural scoliosis, in theother hand there was no correlation between BMI and scoliosis in young adults. Keywords : Scoliosis, Obesity, Physical activity

Athletes require greater energy and protein than people with normal activity to balance the body’s metabolic rate. The body mass index is a factor which directly related to the physical performance of martial-art athletes. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between energy, protein suffi ciency and body mass index with power of martial-art athletes. This research was observational analytic with cross sectional study design. Samples were consisted of 46 athletes who has won at least one martial art games. Data were collected through interview. Energy and protein adequacy level were measured by 2 × 24 hours food recall questionnaires; body weight and height measured by digital scale and microtoice; and power was measured with vertical jump test. There was a positive relationship between adequacy level of protein (p = 0.011) and athletes’s power, but negative correlation between BMI and athlethes’s power (p = 0.019). There was no relationship between the adequacy level of energy with power of martial-art athletes. It was concluded that increament of protein adequacy level could increase athlete’s power. Otherwise, escalation of body mass index could decrease the power of athletes. Therefore, it is needed to monitor nutrient intake and BMI to increase the power of martial-art athletes.
