Introduction. The actuality of the study is defined by the need to find a way to intensify health and recreational activities caused by decrease of physical activity and student health level in the context of distance education as required by quarantine limitations. The aim of the study is to scientifically substantiate the need for health and recreational activities in the conditions of remote education of future specialists on the basis of physical culture and sports and the classification of recreational activities. Material and methods are based on the application of competence, synergetic, systemic and axiological approaches to creating the foundations of health and recreational activities in the context of distance learning. Our study uses a set of philosophical, pedagogical and sociological methods and theories, including the problem of socialization of the individual and the adaptation of persons with disabilities to the social environment, and so on. The material of the research was health and recreational activities conducted among students of higher educational institutions of the Poltava region (using the nature reserve fund) and their impact on improving the physical and mental health of young people. Results. The study for the first time singles out and scientifically substantiates the conditions for optimizing health and recreational activities in the system of training future specialists in physical culture and sports, reveals ways to implement the tasks of physical recreation in quarantine restrictions; Didactic provisions of the organization of a healthy way of life of youth have got further research. Conclusion. The system of health and recreational activities covers two main structural blocks: independent organization of physical exercises (morning hygienic gymnastics, walks, short-distance tourism) in the fresh air; organizational group classes of motor activity at recreational facilities in permitted quarantine zones in compliance with all rules and regulations of sanitary safety. The human-nature system is considered by us as a set of components that interact with each other to achieve the goal - the introduction of a healthy lifestyle and the restoration of all functional systems of the body.

The state policy of health preservation of Russians and the process of introducing a healthy lifestyle into their everyday life is hampered by the lack of sufficient self-activity and purposefulness of the individual ecological and valeological behavior of representatives of various population groups. According to the authors of the article, one of the important indicators of the maturity of professional and labor competencies of school and student youth is their readiness and desire for permanent self-preserving behavior. “With numbers in hand,” the authors show the scale of deviant deviations and the phenomena of spontaneous irresponsibility in the educational and leisure activities of students, hindering the preservation and development of physical culture, the accumulation and effective use of their psychophysiological and labor potential. The conclusions of the proposal of the authors of the article are based on the results of a number of sociological surveys conducted in 2000-2020. at the Institute of Economics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in a number of secondary schools and universities of the Ural and Volga Federal Districts.

Human health, in addition to social and spiritual well-being, is determined by its physical condition, which reflects the functional capabilities of the body, features of physical development and ensures working capacity in any activity, including academic workload, which is extremely important for students in higher educational institutions. The purpose of the study is to assess the health status of students at the School of Biomedicine of the Far Eastern Federal University. Material and methods. The health status of 184 medical students (147 young women and 37 young men) was assessed using a sociological survey (questionnaire) and a study of the component composition of the body using bioimpedancemetry. Results. The low physical activity, detected in 68% of students and bad habits (smoking tobacco) have been established to negatively affect students’ health. Among smokers, 75% of students live in dormitories on the university campus. According to the results of bioimpedancemetry, significant deviations from the age norm were noted in terms of body mass index (BMI) (50% of cases) and fat mass (FM) (71% of cases). Significant gender differences in the individual components of the body were not identified. Discussion. The most aggressive factors that significantly affect the health of students are unbalanced nutrition, lack of compliance with the regime of study and rest, lack of sleep and stay in the fresh air, lack of physical activity, lack of motivation for a healthy lifestyle. Significant deviations in BMI and FM, identified by bioimpedancemetry, indicate the risks of developing arterial hypertension, metabolic syndrome, and nutritional status disorders. Medical students need to give recommendations for increasing motor activity and changing diet. Conclusion. The results of the study can be used in the future to determine the functional state of students and develop preventive measures to preserve the health of medical students.

Physical activity is one of the most important element of a healthy lifestyle and determinant of the physical and mental health. According to the WHO, limited physical activity is the fourth most common premature death risk factor in the world. Regular sport and active recreation is very important for our health. Physical exercise is the most effective method used by physiotherapists to prevent and slow down the aging process of the body, and consequently, diseases of elderly (e.g. osteoporosis, diabetes, hypertension and injuries). Physical activity has a positive effect on the quality of life and cognitive functions of elderly. The physiotherapeutic program should be based on functional training involving the entire human body. To plan and monitor the effectiveness of the training, different types of tests are used to assess the functional status of elderly people. These tests are based on the Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment considering the state of health, physical and mental fitness as well as social and environmental determinants.

In recent years, distance learning has been increasingly involved in university education by the Ministry of Education. The impetus for a new round of introduction of this form of education was given by the pandemic, which determined the need for self-isolation, when distance learning forms are becoming the only possible ones. But at the same time, a number of problems arise: the lack of proper real communication of young people, including with teachers, the weakening of the functions of critical thinking and the culture of discrimination, the strengthening of individualism, a sharp increase in physical inactivity. All this deforms the human body and removes it from a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, in the development and implementation of distance technologies, especially in the discipline “Physical culture”, which requires real permanent physical culture and health-improving practices under the supervision of a teacher and trainer, it is necessary to preserve the principle of the quality of education even in conditions of distance learning.

Statement of the problem. In the legislation of the Russian Federation, physical culture and sport are prescribed as the most important components of the integral development of the individual. Physical culture and sports are represented by a set of achievements in improving health and forming a healthy lifestyle of the Russian population. Despite the fact that rhythmic gymnastics is a relatively young sport, it should be a physical culture and sports practice for the creative development of the values of sports, and actively used for the comprehensive development of the Russian population. Its means and methods should serve to improve the sports skills of Russian gymnasts to represent them on the international stage, self-improvement, improve performance, increase the body’s resistance to adverse environmental influences, reduce the incidence of diseases in order to preserve the country’s gene pool. The purpose of the article is to consider the development of rhythmic gymnastics in Russia from the point of view of a historical and analytical approach; on the basis of the identified gymnastic systems of the late 19th – early 20th centuries, to form criteria for modern rhythmic gymnastics that improve the athletic skills of gymnasts. Methodology (materials and methods). A review of the scientific literature has shown that the study of the development of rhythmic gymnastics based on a historical and analytical approach is an empirical component for identifying and establishing general historical patterns. Historical phenomena are analyzed on the basis of a logical method of study. The principle of concrete historical research involves the study of the meaningful history of the subject under study in specific empirical manifestations. And the abstract-historical principle reveals historical regularity, without referring to the empirical history itself. The abstract-historical principle reconstructs the selected regularity on the basis of theoretical assumptions. The knowledge gained in the course of studying the past indicates the independent value of information. The historical-analytical approach is based on the “principle of historicism”. In a broad sense, this principle means the need to consider the phenomenon under study in its present state from the perspective of the past, determining the continuity between historical forms. Research results. Within the framework of the historical and analytical approach, the main criteria in modern rhythmic gymnastics are formed, which will serve to improve the sports skills of gymnasts. Conclusions. The formed main criteria of modern rhythmic gymnastics, identified on the basis of gymnastic systems of the late 19th – early 20th centuries, included: technical and artistic performance of compositions. The first reflects the technical and aesthetic characteristics of gymnastic elements and combinations, which include technical and aesthetic characteristics-posture, leg inversion, accuracy of movement, lightness, completeness, unity. The second reveals the ability of gymnasts to create an artistic image, convey feelings and mood through expressive gestures and facial expressions, musicality and dance.

In students ' years there is active intellectual, physical development and socialization of the person. It is known that in Ukraine among the students there is a tendency to the growth of various diseases, deterioration of functional reserves of the body, the presence of different defects of the musculoskeletal system, reducing the level of physical preparedness and the like. In the process of analyzing scientific researches and publications, it is determined that different authors pay close attention to the problem of preserving and strengthening the health of modern students, the formation of a culture of health, the creation of health saving educational environment in higher education institutions. The common opinion of researchers is that the need for health should integrate in the cultural need and become a norm of personality life. The main purpose of this work is analysis and synthesis of scientific sources and results of researches of individual authors on the problem of formation of a culture of students ' health. Theoretical comprehension of this problem gave an opportunity to define the essence and content of culture of health as a whole and for students. According to this we believe that physical education is a powerful mechanism of forming a culture of students ' health. In our opinion, an integral part of the formation of students ' health culture is the use of different types and forms of motive activity for active recreation, health and fitness classes and physical recreation in compliance with recommendations on the duration and intensity of motor activity during the week, as well as the requirements to physical condition, a healthy lifestyle. Prospects for further development see in a more in-depth analysis of the formation of health culture of students of different specialties.

Among many applications enabled by the Internet of Things (IoT), smart and connected health care is a particularly important one. Networked sensors, either worn on the body or embedded in our living environments, make possible the gathering of rich information indicative of our physical and mental health. Captured on a continual basis, aggregated, and effectively mined, such information can bring about a positive transformative change in the health care landscape. In particular, the availability of data until now coupled with a new generation of intelligent processing algorithms can: (a) facilitate an evolution in the practice of medicine, from the current post facto diagnose-and treat reactive paradigm, to a proactive framework for prognosis of diseases at an incipient stage, coupled with prevention, cure, and overall management of health instead of disease, (b) enable personalization of treatment and management options targeted particularly to the specific circumstances and needs of the individual, and (c) help reduce the cost of health care while simultaneously improving outcomes. In this paper, we highlight the opportunities and challenges for IOT in realizing this vision of the future of health care.

Physical activity is one of the most important element of a healthy lifestyle and determinant of the physical and mental health. According to the WHO, limited physical activity is the fourth most common premature deaths risk factor in the world. Regular sport and active recreation is very important for our health. Physical exercise is the most effective method used by physiotherapists to prevent and slow down the aging process of the body, and consequently, diseases of elderly, such as: osteoporosis, injuries caused by falls, diabetes or hypertension. Physical activity has a positive effect on the quality of life and cognitive functions of elderly. People over 65 years constitute about 40-50% of people who require specialist medical care in the world. Therefore, health and medical professionals dealing with preventive healthcare and treatment of elderly people should have basic knowledge in geriatric rehabilitation, as well as to be able to plan suitable physiotherapy program adequate to the needs of older people. To assess the functional status of the patient, as well as the effectiveness of the training, various types of functional tests are used, specially designed for the elderly. These tests are based on the Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (COG) considering the state of health, physical and mental fitness as well as socio-environmental conditions. The physiotherapeutic program should be based on functional training involving the entire human body, i.e. nervous, muscular, skeletal, sensory and balance systems.
