Poverty is one of the social problems which requires teamwork and synergy to counter it. Poverty is not only the government's responsibility but also other stakeholders. Damandiri Foundation takes a role to help counter measuring poverty through community empowerment concept by initiating the establishment of Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya). Posdaya is not only associated with material or economic aspect but also with social relation intended to build through this Posdaya so that this program can be sustainable among the society. The purposes of the present study were: 1) to find out the role of parties involved in community empowerment through Posdaya, and the social relation built among the stakeholders; 2 ) to find out the pattern of synergy in the attempt of developing Posdaya to be sustainable community empowerment program. The present study employed qualitative approach, this approach was employed to obtain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of Posdaya program initiated by Damandiri Foundation. The result of the study shows that the stakeholders, especially Damandiri Foundation, Government, especially regional government, Universities, and Private sectors should maintain their involvement to continue and support Posdaya, especially the established ones, and develop communication network pattern that allows all parties to take active participation in developing Posdaya.

Nowadays, social capital is a determinant factor of success in social development, being an alternative to an optimized community empowerment. Moreover, a very communal society with rich values will be highly supported by the dynamics of development and the strengthening of its social capital. This study attempts to scrutinize social capital of three religions in the Blingoh coast of Jepara, focusing on how religious harmony is established in the area and what is the social capital behind it. This article is a field research using a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis where the data are collected through in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. The research finds that the social capital in the Blingoh coast of Jepara consist of social trusts, a sense of kinship beyond religious boundaries, and the role of interreligious forum of communication. These three factors are pivotal factors in sustaining religious in Blingoh Village.Key words: Social Capital, Religious Harmony, Social Harmony

Abstract : The purpose of this study is to explore the role of social and educational institutions in Bajulmati in the process of community empowerment. This study used a qualitative approach, and was carried out in Bajulmati Hamlet, Gajahrejo Village, Gedangan District, Malang Regency. Informants in this study consisted of government institutions, activists empowering from social and educational institutions, and surrounding communities. Data collection uses interviews, documentation and observations and analyzed by miles and huberman models. The results of the study show the role of social and educational institutions in empowering the Bajulmati community. In the economic field, the community is empowered through the use of natural and human potential. In the social field, it is empowered to always be optimistic and independent. As well as in the field of education, the community is empowered through educational institutions that are built, both schooling and education outside the school system. Schooling education aims to increase competitiveness, education outside the schooling system to maintain the culture and noble values of the Bajulmati community.Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggali peran lembaga sosial dan pendidikan di Bajulmati dalam proses pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dan dilaksanakan di Dusun Bajulmati, Desa Gajahrejo, Kecamatan Gedangan, Kabupaten Malang. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari institusi pemerintahan, pegiat pemberdayaan dari lembaga sosial dan pendidikan, serta masyarakat sekitar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi serta dianalisis dengan model miles dan huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran lembaga sosial dan pendidikan dalam memberdayakan masyarakat Bajulmati. Dalam bidang ekonomi, masyarakat diberdayakan melalui pemanfaatan potensi alam maupun sumber daya manusia. Dalam bidang sosial, diberdayakan untuk selalu bersikap optimis dan mandiri. Serta dalam bidang pendidikan, masyarakat diberdayakan melalui institusi pendidikan yang dibangun, baik pendidikan persekolahan maupun pendidikan di luar sistem persekolahan. Pendidikan persekolahan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing, pendidikan di luar sistem persekolahan untuk menjaga budaya dan nilai-nilai luhur masyarakat Bajulmati.

Forest management in terms of its production function is directed towards management that is oriented towards all potential forestry resources and is based on community empowerment. The Wana Tekat Mandiri Farmer Group Association manages community forests, namely state forests whose main use is aimed at empowering the community. The rampant illegal logging is carried out by irresponsible parties outside of the farmer group association. So that community groups that carry out illegal logging do not support the Regional Government in providing guidance to the Association of Farmer groups in the Sendang Agung District area. The type of research used in this research is descriptive type with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques, observation, interviews, documentation. The results of this study indicate that the strategy of community development and empowerment in community forest utilization has been running well and the implementation of the strategy has been deemed successful in implementation. The coaching strategy has a main objective in the framework of developing a coaching plan in carrying out activities or programs of Gapoktan Wana Tekad Mandiri, namely by how to develop skills, develop knowledge and develop attitudes. The existence of this coaching strategy is expected to have a good empowering impact on the community.

This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of the existence of the local social organization in conducting community empowerment. The experiment was conducted at Community Empowerment Institution (In Indonesia it is referred to as Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat/LPM). LPM Cibeunying as one of the local social institution in Bandung regency. Aspects reviewed in the study include the style of leadership, processes, and stages of community empowerment, as well as the LPM network. The research method used is a case study with the descriptive method and qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted against five informants consisting of the Chairman and LPM’s Board members, village officials, and community leaders. The results show that the dominant leadership style is participative, in addition to that, a supportive leadership style and directive leadership style are also used in certain situations. The empowerment process carried out per the stages of the empowerment process is identifying and assessing the potential of the region, problems, and opportunities-chances; arranging a participative activity plan; implementing the activity plan; and monitoring and evaluating the process and results of activities. The social networking of LPM leads to a social network of power in which LPM can influence the behavior of communities and community institutions in utilizing and managing community empowerment programs. From the research, it can be concluded that the model of community empowerment implemented by LPM Cibeunying Village is enabling, empowering, and protecting.

ABSTRAK: Permasalahan pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Apa latar belakang terbentuknya Desa Talaga Besar Kecamatan Talaga Raya Kabupaten Buton Tengah? (2) Bagaimana berkembangan Desa Talaga Besar Kecamatan Talaga Raya Kabupaten Buton Tengah Tahun 1977-2017? Metode sejarah tersebut adalah: (a) Pemilihan topik (b) Heuristik (Pengumpulan Data) (c) Verifikasi (Kritik Sejarah) (d) Interpretasi (e) Historiografi (kritik sejarah). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: (1) Desa Talaga Besar awalnya hanya dijadikan tempat untuk berkebun atau bercocok tanam, misalnya menanam jagung dan ubi kayu sebagai makanan pokok masyarakat setempat dan pada umumnya masyarakat Buton. Karena seiring berjalannya waktu dan peradaban serta jumlah penduduk semakin bertambah banyak. Pemerintah daerah berinisiatif memekarkan desa Talaga Besar menjadi desa definitif. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung terbentuknya Desa Talaga Besar ini ialah: (a) Adanya peranan pemimpin yang selalu memberikan motivasi kepada warga untuk aktif dalam setiap kegiatan yang sifatnya membangun. (b) Faktor pendukung diantaranya faktor geografis (wilayah), faktor demografi (penduduk), dan faktor ekonomi. (2) Perkembangan Desa Talaga Besar dalam bidang ekonomi, sebagian besar masyarakat Talaga Besar menggantungkan hidupnya di bidang pertanian dan perdagangan yang telah dilakukan dan dikembangkan secara turun temurun. Di bidang sosial, hubungan sosial kemasyarakatan antara warga Desa Talaga Besar cukup harmonis. Di bidang pendidikan, perkembangan pendidikan di Desa Talaga Besar pada khususnya dan Kecamatan Talaga Raya pada umumnya mengalami perkembangan pendidikan yang boleh dikatakan sudah cukup baik dan infrastruktur lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan keadaan sebelumnya. Kata Kunci: Sejarah, Desa, Talaga BesarABSTRACT: The main problems in this study are: (1) What is the background of the formation of Talaga Besar Village, Talaga Raya District, Buton Tengah Regency? (2) How did the development of Talaga Besar Village, Talaga Raya District, Buton Tengah Regecy Year 1977-2017? The historical methods are: (a) Selection of topics (b) Heuristics (Data Collection) (c) Verification (Historical Criticism) (d) Interpretation (e) Historiography (historical criticism). The results of this study indicate that: (1) Talaga Besar Village was originally only used as a place for gardening or farming, for example planting corn and cassava as a staple food for the local community and in general the Buton people. Because over time and civilization as well as the population increases. The regional government took the initiative to split the village of Talaga Besar into a definitive village. The factors that support the formation of the Talaga Besar Village are: (a) There is a role of leaders who always motivate citizens to be active in any constructive activity. (b) Supporting factors include geographical factors (region), demographic factors (population), and economic factors. (2) The development of Talaga Besar Village in the economic field, most of the Talaga Besar people depend their lives on agriculture and trade which have been carried out and developed for generations. In the social field, social relations between the people of Talaga Besar Village are quite harmonious. In the field of education, the development of education in the village of Talaga Besar in particular and the Talaga Raya sub-district in general experienced a development of education which was arguably quite good and the infrastructure was better when compared to the previous situation. Keywords: History, Village, Great Talaga

Internal accountants has critical leverage to encourage hospitals to be involved in activities such as social or corporate social responsibility.This study aims to examines the role of internal accountants in the implementating of corporate social responsibility at RSUD Moh. Anwar Sumenep District. Research uses descriptive (qualitative) approach to interpret and describe data that obtained from observation, interview and documentation. This research concludes that RSUD Moh. Anwar Sumenep District does not have a clear standard about corporate social responsibility. Its only depends on the willingness of the organization, not an obligation to disclose in hospital financial statements. Internal accountant who is in charge of performing systematic and objective analysis and assessment on the operation and control of company's activities is needed to encourage companies to carry out social responsibility. Researcher suggest that governments needs to increasing their concern toward this issues whether in the form of programs, policies, regulations or awards of the social environment.Keywords: Internal Accountant, Corporate Social Responsibility, Hospital

EDUCATION AND PEASANT RESISTANCE IN THE PARAENSE AMAZONIAEDUCACIÓN Y RESISTENCIA CAMPESINA EN LA AMAZONIA PARAENSERESUMOEste artigo é fruto dos apontamentos da pesquisa de mestrado desenvolvida no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Agriculturas Amazônicas (PPGAA) da Universidade Federal do Pará – UFPA. Aborda os desafios da luta pela terra no Sudeste Paraense, refletindo sobre o papel da educação nesse processo. Ele aponta a educação que permeia o cotidiano das pessoas, como elemento que fortalece a resistência política dos camponeses, por isso, não está apenas relacionada à conquista da terra, mas também, à permanência na mesma e à mudança da qualidade de vida nos acampamentos e assentamentos. O artigo é resultado de um estudo de caso, desenvolvido no Acampamento Sem Terra, denominado de Dalcídio Jurandir, localizado no Sudeste Paraense e encaminhado por uma abordagem qualitativa. Entende-se que o movimento social busca uma educação que dê conta de compreender as circunstâncias vividas a partir de suas contradições sociais, tendo a mesma lógica de resistência do campesinato, porque é nele que ela tem sua raiz histórica. Trata-se de uma educação que antecede à escola e vai muito além dela.Palavras-chave: Educação; Luta pela Terra; Resistência Camponesa.ABSTRACTThis article is the result of the master's research notes developed in the Postgraduate Program in Amazon Agriculture (PPGAA) of the Federal University of Pará – UFPA. It addresses the challenges of the struggle for land in Southeast Pará, reflecting on the role of education in this process. This paper points out the education that permeates people's daily lives, as an element that strengthens the political resistance of the peasants, therefore, it is not only related to the conquest of the land, but also to the permanence in it and to the change in the quality of life in the encampments and settlements. The article is the result of a case study, developed at the agrarian reform camp, called Dalcídio Jurandir, located in Southeast Pará and guided by a qualitative approach. It is understood that the social movement seeks an education that is able to understand the circumstances experienced from its social contradictions, having the same logic of resistance as the peasantry, because it has its historical roots in it. <p align="center"><strong>ABSTRAK</strong></p><p>Pengentasan kemiskinan di Indonesia merupakan sebuah isu multi dimensi yang membutuhkan pendekatan multi dimensi juga. Salah satu isu yang mendasar adalah bagaimana tidak berdayanya masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah yang menyebabkan mereka tidak dapat berpartisipasi dalam pembangunan atau mendapatkan manfaatnya. Kondisi ini dapat terlihat dari adanya ko-eksistensi<em>—</em>tapi tanpa kohesi<em>—</em>dari pemukiman tradisional (mis. kawasan kumuh, kampung, dsb) di antara yang modern (mis. perumahan, <em>mixed use development</em>, dsb). Kondisi ini juga nampak pada DAS Cisadane yang selalu menjadi salah satu tempat dengan populasi terbanyak untuk pemukiman tradisional karena rendahnya kendali dari pemerintah. Sayangnya, pembangunan yang pesat di Kabupaten Tangerang telah menyebabkan pemukiman ini dikelilingi oleh pembangunan yang lebih maju (baik secara fisik maupun ekonomi) dan menciptakan jarak sosial di antaranya. Pada awalnya Pemerintah Kabupaten melaksanakan program pengentasan kemiskinan secara mandiri, tetapi setelah pemaparan pendapat penasehat dari kalangan non-pemerintah maka diputuskan untuk melibatkan perguruan tinggi sebagai fasilitator dan pelaksana program karena perguruan tinggi dianggap mempunyai sumber daya yang lebih relevan untuk program ini. Tujuan dari penulisan makalah ini adalah untuk memaparkan skema kolaborasi di antara para pemangku kepentingan dan secara khusus akan menekankan peran perguruan tinggi sebagai <em>community developer</em>; demikian juga tantangan yang dihadapi dan hasil pembelajarannya. Makalah ini diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan tentang peran institusi perguruan tinggi dalam menangani isu kemiskinan di sekitarnya.</p><p><em> </em></p><p>Kata Kunci: peran perguruan tinggi, pengentasan kemiskinan, multi dimensi, kolaborasi, ko-eksistensi tanpa kohesi.</p><p> </p><p align="center"><strong><em>ABSTRACT</em></strong></p><p><em>Poverty alleviation in Indonesia has always been a multi dimensional issues that needs a multi dimensional approaches as well. One of the fundamental issue is how helpless are the low income community that caused them unable to participate with the progressive development or benefit from it. This situation can be pictured with the coexistence—but without cohesion—of traditional settlement (i.e. slums, kampungs, etc) among the modern ones (i.e. housing estate, mixed use development, etc). This situation is also occurred in Cisadane riverbanks which have always been one of the most populated area for traditional settlements because the lack of control from government. Unfortunately, the progressive real estate development in Tangerang region has caused these settlements surrounded with more advanced (both economically and physically) development and created the social gap in between. Initially the Regional Government (Pemerintah Kabupaten) conducted the poverty alleviation program independently, but soon after the hearing from non-governmental advisors then decided to involve universities as facilitator and conductor of the program because the universities are considered to have more relevant resources needed for the program. The purpose of this paper is to present the collaboration scheme taken among stakeholders and particularly will stressed the role of universities as the community developer; as well as the expected challenge and the lessons learned. The poverty level of urban communities, indicated by the high rate of maternal and infant mortality, the presence of stunting problems, and the poor health of the elderly in the Cibereum Village, Cimahi City, have an impact on the lack of concern for individual health and environmental health. The Secercah Hati program is created with the purpose of overcoming such problems. This program is a community empowerment program to create a healthy, knowledgeable, and prosperous society by increasing the role of women. It  is collaborating with the Cimahi City Government Program, based on the 2017-2022 Cimahi City Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD). Furthermore, the Secercah Hati Program is also an implementation of a partnership which is not only between Jenderal Achmad Yani University and the Cimahi City Government but also with Pasundan University. The program attempts to solve the issues by improving the role of Posyandu and Posbindu. The method of activity begins with a situation analysis that is coordinated with Cimahi City Government, problem identification, gathering and analyzing needs, determining priority problems, providing solutions, implementing, and evaluating. This participatory empowerment activity was carried out by forming a women's community consisting of Posyandu and Posbindu managers. Empowerment was implemented through training, workshops, mentoring, and role play (theatrical), so that they could optimize their role in improving public health and the environment and supporting the family economy. They were taught the ability to produce culinary with strong branding and market products utilizing digital marketing. In addition, they learnt to manage capital to support business sustainability. The program has an impact on increasing the number of cadres and the level of community participation in Posyandu and Posbindu activities, increasing the number of women entrepreneurs and increasing community income. The success of this community empowerment program needs to be supported by the concept of exciting and measurable activities in order to get a positive response from the community. Mentoring activities would be conducted continuously until the community is accustomed to and able to run programs independently and this is one of the keys to success. Implementing activities that synergize the Regional Government, Universities, and the community have proven to make the community empowerment program more effective.

This Research aims to determine (1) History, actors and the causes of conflict in terms of the social aspect of economic, cultural and institutional happened in PFMU Model Poigar (2) Recommendations settlement to parse tenurial conflicts PFMU Model Poigar. Data analysis method used is a qualitative approach. The results showed that land claims by communities began of forest utilization activities to meet basic needs. Tenurial conflicts PFMU Model Poigar is a structural conflict. Some of the main actors should receive priority attention is the processing community land in the area and local employers. Some of the basic causes of conflict tenurial PFMU Model Poigar is a lack of understanding about the existence of related parties PFMU Model Poigar, the dualism of authority, lack of community empowerment, and law enforcement is still weak.Based on consideration of the history, the actors involved and the cause of the conflict, then some of the recommendation of this study is the institutional strengthening KPHP Poigar model, the development of that partnership, and law enforcement.
