The results of comparative study of current increment of vegetative sphere yearling and biennial of plants of a half-highbush blueberry Northland and Denise Blue at fertilizer application NPK-compound (N16P16K16) and of some microbial specimen – a liquid product of MaKloR in concentration of 10 and 50 % in test crop on recultivated cutover peatlands in article are resulted. It is positioned that tested agricultural methods have rendered the expressed promoting effect on formation of a current increment of vegetative sphere of plants of a blueberry. In the first year of fertilization the least efficacy is positioned for a variant with N16P16K16 which conceded to a drug of MaKloR in 1.1–1.5 times. Its productivity increased with concentration augmentation in 1.2–1.4 times, depending on a varietal accessory of plants and phylum of shoots. In the absence of varietal differences in degree of positive influence of microbial fertilizing of MaKloR on development of vegetative propagules, efficacy of its action, as well as N16P16K16, on development of generative propagules, in variety Denise Blue exceeded for kind Northland in 4.2–4.8 times.Positive influence of mineral and microbial fertilizing’s on a current increment of vegetative sphere of biennial plants of both variety of a blueberry essentially conceded to that annotinous, against conservation of its progressing magnification in process of strengthening of microbial fertilising of MaKloR. Thus productivity of action N16P16K16 on development of propagules in variety Northland, depending on their phylum, exceeded that microbial fertilising of MaKloR in 1.2–1.9 times, at variety Denise Blue – in 1.3–2.6 times. It is shown that against absence of the expressed varietal distinctions in degree of stimulating influence of fertilizings on development of vegetative shoots, efficacy of their action on development of generative shoots, unlike annual plants, at kind Denise Blue conceded that for kind Northland in 1.7–2.3 times.

Corn (Zea mays L.) stover is used as a biofuel feedstock in the U.S. Selection of stover harvest rates for soils is problematic, however, because excessive stover removal may have consequences on plant available P and K concentrations. Our objective was to quantify stover harvest impacts on topsoil P and K contents in the southeastern U.S. Coastal Plain Ultisols. Five stover harvest rates (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100% by wt) were removed for five years from replicated plots. Grain and stover mass with P and K concentration data were used to calculate nutrient removal. Mehlich 1 (M1)-extractable P and K concentrations were used to monitor changes within the soils. Grain alone removed 13–15 kg ha−1 P and 15–18 kg ha−1 K each year, resulting in a cumulative removal of 70 and 85 kg ha−1 or 77 and 37% of the P and K fertilizer application, respectively. Harvesting stover increased nutrient removal such that when combined with grain removed, a cumulative total of 95% of the applied P and 126% of fertilizer K were taken away. This caused M1 P and K levels to decline significantly in the first year and even with annual fertilization to remain relatively static thereafter. For these Ultisols, we conclude that P and K fertilizer recommendations should be fine-tuned for P and K removed with grain and stover harvesting and that stover harvest of >50% by weight will significantly decrease soil test M1 P and K contents.

This paper highlights the necessity of system modification of the main soil slopes processing by developing new technologies of processing eroded soils and technical means to protect a soil from wind and water erosion, reduce processing energy costs, improve moisture accumulation and preservation, and increase the aggregate productivity. An improved differentiated system of slopes soil tilling is proposed, including a crest-stepped ploughing with complete alternation (at 180° within the range of own furrow) and incomplete turnover of the layers and mouldboardless two-tier tilling. During the first year, a crest-stepped ploughing was carried out on slope fields affected by water and wind erosion. Thus, stratum’s subsurface layers are strip loosened. To implement this technology, an improved plough for crest-stepped ploughing developed on the basis of a stepped plough for furrowless smooth tillage is proposed. The rotation was carried out with mould boardless two-tier soil tilling by a ripper with inclined posts. Further, it is recommended to develop and implement combined machines able to simultaneously conduct mould boardless and mouldboard soil tilling, strip subsurface loosening, fertilizer application and other manipulations to prepare soil for sowing and the sowing per one passage of the unit to protect soil from wind and water erosion.

An experiment to study influence of nitrogen (N) and potassium (K) on new rice varieties MR 269 and MR 284 has been carried out in Parit 12 Sungai Nibong, Sekinchan, 45400, Sabak Bernam, Selangor from February 2012 to January 2013. Compatibility tests need to be carried out on current fertilizer recommendation towards these new rice varieties. There are three rates used in this experiment which are 0, 100 and 200 kg/ha for both N and K fertilizer. The experimental design used in this experiment is Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 3 replications. A set of 54 small plots were erected with 4 m x 4 m in size. Manual Teknologi Penanaman Padi Lestari is used as crop management guideline for this experiment. Results indicated no significant interaction between N and K on yield of the newly tested rice varieties. The rice yield was significantly affected by N but not by K. Results suggest that there is significant interaction between cropping season and N towards rice yield. Analysis showed that fertilizer application of N up to 200 kg/ha contributed to higher yield in first season (Off-season). However, yield increment in season 2 (main season) only took place up until N fertilizer application at 100 kg/ha and began to drop when subsequent additional of 200 kg/ha. This study indicated that number of panicle and number of seed per panicle had positive influence to the rice yield.

Nitrogen and sulphur fertilizers were applied to a 4-year-old Pinusradiata plantation in northern New South Wales and the results were monitored for 7 years. The aim was to study the effects of sulphur and nitrogen nutrition on tree growth and their interactions on Dothistroma infection. Sulphur (300 kg S ha−1), applied as gypsum, elevated foliage sulphate sulphur levels for up to 7 years after treatment, but no direct effects on growth were noted. The low nitrogen fertilizer level (100 kg N ha−1) had a positive influence on volume increment, while the high nitrogen fertilizer application (400 kg N ha−1) significantly depressed volume increment. This latter negative effect was attributed to induced sulphur and phosphorus deficiencies. Sulphur deficiency resulted in highly increased arginine concentrations in current foliage and there was a strong positive correlation between arginine concentration and tree infection level of Dothistroma needle cast fungus, the highest levels of infection being in the nitrogen-treated plots. Relationships between foliar nutrition and foliar fungal infection are discussed.

This longitudinal investigation of 23 colleges and universities sought to estimate the impacts of on- and off-campus work on standardized measures of student cognitive development across three years of college. With controls made for student background characteristics and other experiences of college, there was little evidence to suggest that either form of work inhibited cognitive development in the first year of college. In the second year of college, on-campus work had small negative total and direct influences on science reasoning, but neither form of work inhibited students’ writing skills. Both forms of work had a significant curvilinear relationship with a composite measure of end-of-third-year cognitive development consisting of reading comprehension and critical thinking. Part-time on- or off-campus work had a positive influence, but on-campus work in excess of 15 hours per week or off-campus work in excess of 20 hours per week had a negative impact. Finally, across all years of the study, the cognitive impacts of work appear to be essentially the same, irrespective of student characteristics (e.g., ethnicity, gender, age, precollege ability, full-or part-time enrollment) and whether or not the student attended a two-year or a four-year college.

This preliminary 3-year field experiment with bark humus MoDo-Mylla revealed that an application of 28 tons d.m./ha of bark humus to a sandy soil increased the content of organic carbon by about 0.5 % and that application of 56 tons d.m./ha increased the organic content of the topsoil by about 1%. Corresponding increases in organic carbon were obtained following application of 30 and 60 tons d.m./ ha MoDo-Mylla to a clay soil. The largest yield increase resulting from bark humus was obtained in the first year on the clay soil in Uppland. This increase amounted to 81 per cent at 30 tons d.m./ha and 108percent at 60 tons d.m./ha, in comparison with treatments without bark humus. Positive effects were also obtained in the second year in oats, while in the third year (winter wheat) the yield was similar in all treatments. In the first year of the experiment on sandy soil in Dalarna there was no yield promoting effect from the bark humus, probably because the experiment had been laid out on a newly ploughed ley. Positive effects of the bark humus appeared in the second and third years in the potato yields which were 10 % and 5 % higher in the third year at 56 tons d.m./ha of MoDo-Mylla than in the treatment without MoDo-Mylla. No directly yield-promoting effects were noticed on the yield of straw. The determinations of bulk weight and 1 000-kernel weight revealed a clear trend towards increased kernel weight in the treatments with bark humus at both experimental sites. The chemical analyses of grain and straw show that on the clay soil the addition of MoDo-Mylla resulted in decreases in the contents of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the grain and, in addition to these, calcium in the straw. On sand soil the situtation is the reverse for nitrogen and potassium as an increase in these nutrients can be obtained following an application of bark humus. These differences in the nutrient content are probably linked with the yield levels.

The study aims to provide an overview of the influence of deferred tax expense, current tax and discretionary accruals to earnings management towards Earnings Management where it was caused by the temporary differences between accounting income and taxable profit. In this PSAK, there is a statement paragraph that can provide freedom of management in determining an earning in deferred tax of the difference between accounting standard and tax regulations in the amount of deferred tax payable related to accounting income in a current perioed or a current fiscal year. The amount of current tax is same with tax expense in SPT. The type of a method of this study is quantitative. Based on the hipothesis testing, it can be concluded that deferred tax expense and discretionary accruals have a significant positive influence toward earnings management while current tax has no significant positive towards Earnings Management in Manufactured Company registered at Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2014 – 2018. The limitation of this study is that it only discusses how much influence the deferred tax expense, current tax and discretionary accruals have on earnings management, as well as the number of samples and populations that are less than 100 samples, thus opening up opportunities for new researchers by adopting the same theme. The implications of this study are expected to be able to add to the state of knowledge relating to the effect of deferred tax expense, current tax and discretionary accruals on earnings management.

The peculiarity of the geographical location of the Pereyaslav Region, the existence of dense river nets (the Dnieper River, the Trubizh River, the Alta River, the Supiy River, etc.) and the diversity of landscapes led to the formation of the region rich in plant species. However, the vegetation cover of the region has been significantly transformed as a result of the construction of a hydroelectric power plant on the Dnieper River and the creation of the Kaniv Reservoir. The purpose of the article is to carry out a systematic, biomorphological and ecological analysis of the composition of wild medicinal plants of the Pereyaslav region. The research was conducted during 2018-2019 years on the territory of the Pereyaslav Region. The object of the study is the flora of wild medicinal plants of the Pereyaslav Region. The study was performed by means of the route, stationary and semi-stationary methods. During the field surveys (geobotanical descriptions) of the studied territory, the flora was described, species and families of the plants were determined, their location and ecological conditions of growth, life form, etc. were noted. As a result of the critical inventory of the species composition of the Pereyaslav flora, the systematic composition of wild herbs and medicinal plants of the region was first developed (582 species), consisting of 106 families and 360 species, among which there are vascular plants (Lycopodiophyta, Equisetophyta, Polypodiophyta) – 15 species, Pinophyta – 3 species, Magnoliophyta – 567 species. The biomorphological analysis of wild herbs and medicinal plants of the Pereyaslav Region was performed and it was established that the vast majority of species belong to hemicryptophytes (316 species). It was found that in the studied territory the diversity of wild medicinal plants is represented by trees (27 species), shrubs (28 species), subshrubs (10 species), perennial herbaceous plants (387 species), biennial plants (46 species) and annual plants (84 species). It has been established that the ecological-coenotic nature of valuable species of plants in the study consists of forest (170 species), meadow (145 species), meadow-steppe (114 species), synanthropic phytocenoses consist of 95 species and wetland ecotopes – 58 species.

The influence of fertilization on shoot growth, leaf gas exchange, leaf chlorophyll content, and mineral content was monitored on sweetgum (Liquidambar stryraciflua L.), Japanese pagoda tree (Styphnolobium japonicum Schott), and European ash (Fraxinus excelsior L.) over a 3-year period after planting in the urban environment. The research was carried out on newly planted trees that were placed in different urban sites and fertilized after planting. Fertilization was repeated for 2 years after planting at the beginning of the spring. There were contrasting results according to the species and the year of measurements. Fertilization was to a limited extent effective in the first year after planting but failed to provide better results in the following years. Thus, the results of this research do not support the utility of fertilizer application as a method to improve plant establishment, growth, or physiology after transplanting in the urban environment.

The watercress (Nasturtium officinale R. Br.) is often grown as a forced leaf vegetable rich in vitamins and minerals. Its specific taste and curative effects result from the presence of mustard glycosides (glucosinolates) that may also show nematocidic effects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of watercress eluate and juice on tomato plants inoculated with the northern root-knot nematode (NRKN) Meloidogyne hapla. It was found out that after the treatment of plants with solutions derived from watercress the yield of fruit was highly significantly increased. The highest yield increase (by 96 % to 165 %) was observed in the variant with the highest concentration of watercress extracts (macerate + 200 ml of juice). Although at lower concentrations of watercress solution the increase in yields was also reduced (by 57–118 %), the difference was still statistically highly significant. The effect of this treatment on the content of vitamin C was similar and the increase was also highly significant and ranged from 24 to 67 %. When evaluating the occurrence of nematodes on roots of tomato plants, the presence of pathogens was equal to zero percent in all treated variants. The treatment with this phyto-solution corroborated not only a nematocidic effect of watercress but also its positive influence on the yield and level of vitamin C in dependence on increasing concentrations of the effective agent. It can be therefore concluded that the watercress solution showed a promoting effect on tomato plants.
