This study is a research and development by following the path of Borg & Gall which includes 7 steps, namely preliminary research, planning, developing initial types / products, initial testing, major product revisions, field trials and revising operational products. The purpose of this study was to develop problem-based Student Worksheets in understanding students' mathematical concepts. The research problem was how to develop problem-based Student Worksheets on understanding mathematical concepts of students. The study was conducted at Manba'ul Ulum Gayau Sakti Middle School with the research subject of grade VIII students in the academic year 2018/2019. The results showed that the researchers analyzed, designed a Student Worksheets with good and valid responses in accordance with the provisions of Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) through the validation results from experts so that the Student Worksheets was feasible to be used in learning. In addition, the results of the study show that in terms of covers, contents, and results, it is effectively used. This can be seen from the study of the effect of Student Worksheets more effectively than not using problem-based Student Worksheets on understanding mathematical concepts of students.

The development of research aims to develop products in the form of teaching materials contextually based on a math class IV SDN No 03 Rensing in the academic year 2014/2015. This study is a research and development (Research and Development). The development of research development model Borg and Gall were conducted with five stages, namely the analysis of needs, planning, development of draft products, field trials, product revision. Data collection methods used in the research are the development of student questionnaire responses and test student learning outcomes. The subjects to be tested in this study were all fourth grade students of SDN 3 Rensing who was 22 people. Products developed in the form of books students with contextual approach, assessment in terms of materials and appearance. Book value of the validation results of students in terms of material is 3.37, while the display is 3.12 s`egi the category of "valid" and unfit for use by the revision of each validator. The percentage of students who responded positively to the students 'books reached 54.6% and the data obtained from the test results of the students' learning reached 77%. The coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.69. This means that 69% influence the development of teaching materials mathematics contextually based on student learning outcomes. It can be concluded in the study of mathematics teaching material development using a model based contextual Borg and Gall said Valid and Effective to learning the material integers grade IV SDN 3 Rensing in the academic year 2014/2015.

Speaking is a crucial part of the language learning process. However, many students find speaking as one of the most difficult skills in English. Therefore, the researcher wants to improve the students’ speaking ability through the suitable teaching method, in this case the debate. The objective of this research referring to the research problem is to find out how the debate method can improve speaking ability. Based on the research problem and the relevant theory, the hypothesis of this research is described as follows: Debate method improves the speaking ability of the fifth semester students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember in the 2017 / 2018 academic year by developing their activeness in expressing oral argument logically in a systematic way. The design of this research is classroom action research. The research subject is the fifth semester class consisting of 34 students. Test and observation are used to obtain the data. The data collection involved a number of instruments namely Test of Speaking English and Speaking Rubric. It was then evaluated by using speaking rubric covering fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. Debate method improves the students’ speaking ability in two cycles from M = 61.84 in Cycle 1 to M = 70.34 in Cycle 2 and the percentage of students scored  (E = 66.67%) in Cycle 1 to (E = 83.34%) in Cycle 2. The observation result from 56.15% students’ activeness in Cycle 1 to 85.29% students’ activeness in Cycle 2. Based on the data above, there was significant impact of Cycle 2 implementation on the students’ speaking ability. It can be concluded that debate method is able to improve the students’ speaking ability.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa setelah diterapkannya metode pembelajaran Learning Starts with a Question. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 5 pendidikan matematika Universitas PGRI Palembang tahun ajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 40 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen (Posttes-only control design). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes. Hasil penelitian yang didapat bahwa ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran Learning Starts with a Question terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa.This study aims to determine the capability is there any influence student understanding of mathematical concepts after the implementation of Learning Starts with a Question method. The research subject is the 5th semester student of mathematics education PGRI Palembang University academic year 2016/2017 which amounted to 40 people. The method used is experiment (Posttes-only control design). Data collection techniques were used that test. The research result obtained that no influence Learning Starts with a Question method of the ability student understanding of mathematical concepts.

: The use of learning media is one of the critical success factors in higher education, therefore an educator must have innovation to use of learning media. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media based on the Inspiring Suit 8 on arbitration material courses of theoretical and practice for Volleyball 1 academic year 2018/2019 at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. The existence of media will be a big successful support in learning process, so that students do not feel boredom because of the weaknesses of the lecturers, in which they are unable to provided good learning variation or even have difficulty in conveying or transferring knowledge. The research was descriptive qualitative design. The research subjects were students of Physical Education, Health, and Recreation Study Program who took volleyball theory and practice courses in the even semester academic year 2018/2019. The instruments used were the media expert review questionnaire, the learning expert questionnaire, and the trial analysis questionnaire. The questionnaire will be analyzed to see the feasibility of the developed media. Based on the data results review by media expert volleyball, media learning expert and field trials, it can be concluded that media developed is useful in learning process. In addition, it is used to provide independent motivation, which can be used in lesson for students.

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 9 Medan, Jenis penelitian yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X DKV 1 yang berjumlah 36 orang siswa terdiri dari 20 laki-laki dan 16 perempuan, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar sketsa, melalui motode demonstrasi dan latihan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal yang di temukan oleh peneliti, masih rendahnya hasil belajar sketsa siswa. Peneliti melakukan pre test untuk mengetahui kondisi awal sebelum dilaksanakannya tindakan persiklus. Hasil pre test menunjukkan masih rendahnya ketuntasan belajar siswa, dari 36 orang siswa hanya 7 orang siswa (19,4%) yang tuntas dalam pembelajaran sketsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan motode pembelajaran demonstrasi dan latihan. Pada siklus I diperoleh 24 orang siswa (66,7%) yang tuntas dan 12 orang siswa (33,3%) yang tidak tuntas. Dengan begitu, peneliti melanjutkan ke siklus II dengan perolehan 35 orang siswa (97,2%) yang tuntas dan 1 orang siswa (2,8%) tidak tuntas dalam pembelajaran sketsa. Terdapat peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 30,5%, maka peneliti tidak melanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan motode pembelajaran demonstrasi dan latihan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan belajar sketsa pada siswa kelas X DKV 1 di SMK Negeri 9 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2019/2020.Kata Kunci: hasil belajar, sketsa, demonstrasi, latihan.AbstractThis research was conducted at SMK Negeri 9 Medan. The research employs a classroom action research method. The research subject was the ten grade students of DKV 1 with a total of 36 students consist of 20 men and 16 women. This research aims to improve skectch learning outcomes through demonstration and training method. Based on the results of preliminary observations found by researcher, the researcher found the low student sketch learning outcomes. The researcher used a pre-test to determine the initial conditions before the pre-cycle action was carried out. The result of pre-test showed that students' learning completeness was still low. From 36 students only 7 students (19,4%) who complete in sketching learning. This research was taught by using demonstration and training learning method. In cycle I, there were 24 students (66,7%) was complete and 12 students (33,3%) was incomplete. Therefore, the researcher proceed to cycle II with the acquisition of 35 students (97,2%) was complete and 1 students (2,8%) was incomplete in sketch learning. There was increase from cycle I to cycle II of 30,5%, the researcher does not proceed to the next cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of demonstration and training method can improve the ability in sketch learning of the ten grade students DKV I at SMK Negeri 9 Medan in the academic year 2019/2020. The purpose of this study was to describe the feasibility of teaching materials based on an open-ended approach to improve the reasoning abilities of fourth grade students in elementary schools. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development). The subjects of this study were 3 classroom teachers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative data analysis (data reduction, data presentation and conclusion) and quantitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the results of stage 1 media validation, it was obtained 84.8%, and the results of stage 2 media validation were obtained 94.8%. The result of material validation for stage 1 was obtained 84.6%, and validation for material for stage 2 was obtained 93.3%. The results of initial field trials obtained media 93.7% and material 92.3%. This shows that the teaching material is declared valid and suitable for use. Based on the results of this study, the suggestion that can be conveyed is that teaching materials based on an open-ended approach can be used as a tool for teaching and learning resources for students.

Sophomore students from the Chemical Engineering undergraduate Degree at the University of Salamanca are involved in a Mathematics course during the third semester and in an Engineering Thermodynamics course during the fourth one. When they participate in the latter they are already familiar with mathematical software and mathematical concepts about numerical methods, including non-linear equations, interpolation or differential equations. We have focused this study on the way engineering students learn Mathematics and Engineering Thermodynamics. As students use to learn each matter separately and do not associate Mathematics and Physics, they separate each matter into different and independent compartments. We have proposed an experience to increase the interrelationship between different subjects, to promote transversal skills, and to make the subjects closer to real work. The satisfactory results of the experience are exposed in this work. Moreover, we have analyzed the results obtained in both courses during the academic year 2018–2019. We found that there is a relation between both courses and student’s final marks do not depend on the course.

The purposes of this study were (1) to generate a design and implement the result of the design for the development of e-modul assisted CAI media on the subject of photography for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada, (2) to know the responses of the teacher and students toward development of e-modul assisted CAI media on the subject of photography for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada. The learning model that used in the development of electronic modul was project based learning. The type of research used in this study was the Research and Development (R&D) using ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were tenth grade students of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada in academic year 2016/2017. In order to know the response of the teacher and students of e-module photography, questionnaire was used to obtain the data. The results showed that: (1) The design and implementation of e-module assisted CAI media which have been developed on the photography course for tenth grade of Desain Komunikasi Visual at SMK Negeri 1 Sukasada was successfully applied by some of the tests conducted. (2) The results of the data analysis showed that the mean score obtained from teacher’s responses was 47, if it converted into a table of classification response; it was classified as the category of very positive. Meanwhile, the mean score obtained from the students' response of the development of e-module, was 67,79, if it converted into a table of classification response, student responses classified as category of very positive.Keywords: E-Module, Photography, Project Based Learning

The purpose of this study is to trace the extent of the use of Bengkulen folklore in the process of teaching and learning rhetorical subject. The study is a descriptive research which tries to portray the exercise of teaching rhetorical subject in which Bengkulen folklore is included. This study applies qualitative approach. The research subject deals with the fifth semester students of class A from the study program of Indonesian Language Teaching (FKIP) of Bengkulu University in the academic year of 2016-2017. The study results in that student activities change into positive direction in learning by folklore. The application of folklore to the students can improve their skill in rhetoric or public communication. It can be seen from the grades they achieve and the extent of their finishing the subject. Based on the data analyzed, the result shows that there 21 students who receive grade up 70 and their fulfillment in learning reaches 90, 84%.

AbstrakBanyak siswa yang kesulitan dalam memahami konsep matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pada pokok bahasan Lingkaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini  adalah metode deskriptif dengan penelitian kasus. Materi tentang Lingkaran merupakan materi yang terdapat di SMP kelas VIII pada semester genap dan materi ini merupakan salah satu materi yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari hari. Kelas VIII F SMPN 3 Karawang Barat dipilih sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes tertulis kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Soal berbentuk uraian yang sebelum digunakan sudah di uji validasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan rata-rata nilai kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adalah 10,06 termasuk dalam kriteria sedang.  Hasil analisis konsep per indikator, diketahui siswa sangat kurang pada indikator menerapkan hubungan antar konsep dan prosedur, kemudian dalam menerapkan konsep secara algoritma. Masih terdapat banyak siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep yang kurang.  Understanding of Mathematical Concepts Class VIII Students in Circle MaterialsAbstractMany students have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability to understand students' concepts in solving questions on the subject of the Circle. The method used in this research is descriptive method with case research. The material about Circles is the material found in class VIII SMP in the even semester and this material is one of the materials related to daily life. Class VIII F of SMP 3 Karawang Barat was chosen as the research subject. Data collection is done by giving written tests the ability to understand concepts. Questions in the form of descriptions that have been validated before being used. The results of this study show the average value of the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts is 10.06 which is included in the criteria of being. The results of concept analysis per indicator, it is known that students are very lacking in indicators applying relationships between concepts and procedures, then in applying the concept algorithmically. There are still many students who lack an understanding of concepts.
