Learning Arabic will not be sparated from the vocabulary, therefore we need a variety of methods and media that can facilitate the process of learning vocabulary. Especially for Islamic boarding schools which in their learning activites around Arabic texts, of course we need media that can help students so that mastery of the vocabulary can have a positive impact. Besides that in general for the linguist the more he knows vocabulary it is known that he is an expert in language. One of the media that can be used is song, because song ca increase morale, make things comfortable an easy to memorize. The use of this media by replacing the lyrics of the original song is changed with words related to modern educational vocabulary. The use of song media has a signficat influence on students ability to master vocabulary especially knowing meaning and as well pronouncing it. But the song media also has disadvantages incluiding not all vocabulary  can be taught with songs and not all the teachers are able to use it specially for those who cannot sing.

Access to technology and the Internet is having a positive impact on all levels, personal, family, professional and social. However, the influence of the media has not been accompanied by the promotion of media literacy. The development of the media skill among citizens, especially young people and children, in order to exercise a critical and active role in relation to the media, is a key development in this society of «media prosumers». This paper discusses the results of a research project at state level, surveying a sample of 2.143 students from Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School, in this study using a questionnaire ad hoc online. The objetive of the research project is to identify levels of media literacy amongst children and adolescents. It can be seen that a significant portion of the sample is proficient in the media, at an acceptable level. However, and despite belonging to the generation of socalled «digital natives» the sample does not possess the skills necessary to practice as a «media prosumers». We conclude the work highlighting the necessity of complementing the digital competence established in the school curriculum with media literacy as a key element into developing a «prosumer culture». This would resolve the convergence of an urgent need to improve the training of young audiences as responsible citizens capable of consuming and producing media messages in a free, responsible, critical and creative way.

An attempt to define the degree of media freedom in contemporary Russia leads to contradiction between the declaration of the mass media freedom provided by the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the Soviet Union heritage of unequivocal control of the press by the government, described by Siebert et al. (1984) as the Soviet-Communist Press Theory. The reason for this ambiguity could be explained by the great deal of different factors that exert an influence on the journalism, such as features of mass media legislation, governmental control of the media, the diversity of media ownership, sources of media incomes, and traditions of censorship in Russia.  The current development of the media legislation in Russia shows no improvement regarding the freedom of speech. In the beginning of the third presidential term in 2012, Vladimir Putin has signed several laws that reduced the freedom of speech through the limitation of public assembly, criminalization of defamation in the mass media, and intensification of governmental censorship on the internet. On the other hand, the contemporary press freedom that appeared in conditions of the new market economy in the beginning of the 1990s has brought discredit as to the conception of an exclusively positive impact of unconditional freedom on the mass media since the newspapers, television and radio channels were controlled by several powerful oligarchs who used the owned mass media to spread and support their political influence. However, after the authorities’ reference in the 2000s the balance was not regained. As a result, the majority of the media outlets in Russia became co-owned or fully controlled by the government. Another crucial aspect of the mass media freedom as the cultural phenomenon should be kept in mind: seven decades of severe censorship could not be erased from the journalism professional community’s memory in several years. The negative experience of predecessors transforms censorship into self-censorship in modern Russia.

AbstractThe phenomenon of the use of social media as an online media is increasingly massive in the use of this decade. Young people as the native millennial or digital generation are the biggest users in the use of social media today. Research on digital literacy is still rare, especially in Indonesia. The subjects of this study were young people aged 17-21 years that were active users of social media. This study uses a qualitative approach to the case study method. The informants who were used as research samples were 5 people and 1 key informant from media literacy experts. The findings obtained in this study indicate the importance of digital literacy programs that have a positive impact on knowledge, understanding and skills in using the media, especially social media which is now often used as a source of information by audiences, especially among young people. information on using mass media, especially social media used by young people so that there is awareness in using the media. In this education participants do not all have this expertise because this skill requires continuous and consistent training so that they can do it well. Therefore digital literacy education is a solution that can be done by the government and elements of society and academics who care about the progress of the nation.

The evolution of information and communications technologies (ICTs) had a strong positive impact in the media world, and especially in the arrival of the participatory and citizens' journalism paradigms. However, this progress was also marked by the explosion of content tampering and forgery attempts by the dissemination of false informatory data. Verification strategies and initiatives to prevent misinformation were introduced along with the advent of ICTs, aiming at shielding and resurfacing the essence of verification ethics. Based on the principle that information has to be validated before its channeling into journalistic pipelines, the present chapter investigates the trust between news outlets and audience. In specific, the lost “faith” in the media ecosystem is highlighted, focusing on the primary significance that truth holds along the end-to-end newsgathering and publishing processes.

Semen cryopreservation allows crucial management of animal genetic diversity. However, the freeze-thaw process causes biochemical and physical alterations, impairing sperm energy-dependent functions. Currently, many chemicals are added to the media to enhance frozen-thawed sperm quality during artificial insemination. The aims of this study was to determine the effects of Metformin (Metf) on fresh chicken sperm motility and ability to perform acrosome reaction, and to evaluate Metf’s effects on the functions of cryopreserved sperm. Chicken semen was diluted and incubated at 35°C in media supplemented with or without different doses of 5’-AMP-Activated Protein Kinase (AMPK) activator, Metf (0,5 to 5 mM). We then looked for the concentration improving the most sperm quality to use it in the cryopreservation media used for chicken sperm. Our results show that 1 mM Metf is the concentration giving the best results regarding sperm quality. AMPKα phosphorylation, viability, acrosome reaction ability (AR), and various motility parameters, were negatively affected by the freeze-thaw process, and that Metf partially restored them. Sperm quality improved (mean increased by 23% for motility, by 10% for viability) as well as AMPKα phosphorylation (mean increased by 30%). Moreover, fluorescent intensity levels of phospho-AMPK were also stronger with Metf than in the control. These results show that the presence of Metf in fresh semen has a positive impact on the quality of sperm and helps reducing the gradual decline in sperm motility caused by cryopreservation by partially restoring several essential sperm functions, and thus leads to a better overall quality of cryopreserved sperm.
