The purpose of this study was to determine the socio-economic conditions of coastal communities and determine the strategy for developing fisheries potential in Buleleng Regency. This research was conducted in seven districts: Gerogak, Seririt, Banjar, Buleleng, Sawan, Kubutambahan, and Tejakula. The research method uses SWOT Analysis. The full age range of fishermen is dominated by the age of 41-50 and the education level of Elementary Schools (SD). In general the condition of the fleet and fishing gear is still classified as small-scale fishing, with an average amount of fishermen income of Rp 1,000,000-2,000,000 / month. The recommended development strategy is the SO strategy: (1) organizing marketing of fish catches by fishermen groups; (2) compile investment profile of the opportunities in capture fisheries business; (3) enhancing the role of fisheries scouts to assist fishing activities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a SWOT analysis tool; namely Internal-external situation analysis which aims to determine the strengths and weaknesses as well as the factors that become opportunities and threats for the development of the Coban Parang Tejo tourism area in Malang, and the application and implementation of Community Based Tourism principles for the development of the Coban Parang Tejo tourism area. The results of the study concluded that the concept of CBT has been applied in tourism management in Coban Parang Tejo (CPT) which was applied in the form of local community participation, the formation of a tourism village institution, environmentally friendly tourism management, the role of government, cooperation with investors and the creation of community business activities. From the SWOT analysis generated promotional strategies based on the strengths and weaknesses of tourism in CPT, 1) SO strategy by increasing the number of interesting vehicles adjusted to the local wisdom of the Perinci village community, so that it has its own distinct characteristics / uniqueness that is different from other tours; 2) ST Strategy by increasing the competitiveness of Coban Parang Tejo; 3) WO Strategy by increasing facilities / infrastructure and existing infrastructure; and 4) WT strategy by collaborating with investors and strengthening community communities. All of which are in the context of improving the welfare of the community.

This study aims to identify the strategic assumptions of Belawan Ceramics Market with a descriptive method approach. By compiling results from the perspective of customers and traders, this study analyzes strategic assumptions with the SWOT analysis tool. The results showed that consumers who came were consumers who had repeatedly visited the Ceramic Market, but the loyalty of visitors decreased for the fourth visit. Tourist considerations for visiting the Belawan Ceramics Market are diverse types of merchandise, traditional bargaining systems, interactions with direct traders, as well as structuring shopping space that is not rigid with social accessibility in the form of local community acceptance (especially traders) towards foreigners. From the SWOT analysis conducted, it was found that the strategies that could be carried out to develop the Belawan ceramics market were: opening stores early, adding collections of unique items, expanding promotions through social media, pentahelix synergy for more effective development, price competition considerations in accordance with the quality of the goods being marketed, complementing supporting tourism utilities such as lighting facilities and increasing the role of government and community self-help to increase the sense of security for visitors / tourists.

In order to avoid social inequality of opportunity and improvement of local economies have become government policies in Turkey, as it is in other countries around the world. Incentives, regional development agencies, techno parks and also local entrepreneurs play crucial role in the improvement process of local economies. The increasing rivalry and globalization concept necessitate entrepreneurs to take more risks, to reach innovations to seize opportunities in optimum level. Entrepreneurship is a motor vessel in financial growth and in development, and entrepreneurship is also the source of innovation and creativity. In this regard, the more entrepreneurship develops in a country, the higher level of welfare possesses the chance to advance. The purpose of this report, in which it has been aimed to reveal vital role of entrepreneurship in the progress of local economies, is emphasizing the status of entrepreneurship that transformed Gaziantep’s socio-economic level of development into its present position. Thus with this aim a SWOT analysis, in terms of Gaziantep’s economic entrepreneurship has been carried out. Positive contributions of Gaziantep’s immensely developed industry, facilitation of local innovative entrepreneurs’ involvement in various local economic sectors and in accordance channeling immigration into deployment in local economy have been observed in this study. Significantly it has been observed that plenitude of “opportunist entrepreneurship” or in other words “the entrepreneurs with strategic growth plans” in this region contributed local economy positively.

Peptides are fragments of proteins that carry out biological functions. They act as signaling entities via all domains of life and interfere with protein-protein interactions, which are indispensable in bio-processes. Short peptides include fundamental molecular information for a prelude to the symphony of life. They have aroused considerable interest due to their unique features and great promise in innovative bio-therapies. This work focusing on the current state-of-the-art short peptide-based therapeutical developments is the first global review written by researchers from all continents, as a celebration of 100 years of peptide therapeutics since the commencement of insulin therapy in the 1920s. Peptide “drugs” initially played only the role of hormone analogs to balance disorders. Nowadays, they achieve numerous biomedical tasks, can cross membranes, or reach intracellular targets. The role of peptides in bio-processes can hardly be mimicked by other chemical substances. The article is divided into independent sections, which are related to either the progress in short peptide-based theranostics or the problems posing challenge to bio-medicine. In particular, the SWOT analysis of short peptides, their relevance in therapies of diverse diseases, improvements in (bio)synthesis platforms, advanced nano-supramolecular technologies, aptamers, altered peptide ligands and in silico methodologies to overcome peptide limitations, modern smart bio-functional materials, vaccines, and drug/gene-targeted delivery systems are discussed.

Significant research explores effectiveness of entrepreneurial curriculum, teaching innovations and programs, but less often studied is the role of entrepreneurship educators. The way that the educator sees his or her role relative to the students is of critical importance because this directly influences pedagogy choices, expectations for students and learning outcomes, as well as job satisfaction. While recent studies propose typologies characterizing pedagogical approaches of educators, few of these are based on the data from entrepreneurship educators. Framed within role identity theory, we conducted 13 in–depth interviews to examine how entrepreneurship educators perceive their role. Using the qualitative data analysis tool (NVivo), we analyzed how the relationship between their perceptions of their role and core value orientation is connected to teaching approaches. Results show that these educators view their roles as teacher-focused, network-focused, or student-focused and that these perspectives are associated with different perceptions of students’ role and learning objectives. Further, we find different levels of emphasis on roles and that personal core values are differentially linked to these roles. Implications and future research directions are discussed.

Coastal areas are important residential, commercial and industrial areas; but coastal hazards can pose significant threats to these areas. Shoreline/coastal protection elements, both built structures such as breakwaters, seawalls and revetments, as well as natural features such as beaches, reefs and wetlands, are regular features of a coastal community and are important for community safety and development. These protection structures provide a range of resilience to coastal communities. During and after disasters, they help to minimize damages and support recovery; during non-disaster times, the values from shoreline elements shift from the narrow focus on protection. Most coastal communities have limited land and resources and few can dedicate scarce resources solely for protection. Values from shore protection can and should expand to include environmental, economic and social/cultural values. This paper discusses the key aspects of shoreline protection that influence effective community resilience and protection from disasters. This paper also presents ways that the economic, environmental and social/cultural values of shore protection can be evaluated and quantified. It presents the Coastal Community Hazard Protection Resilience (CCHPR) Index for evaluating the resilience capacity to coastal communities from various protection schemes and demonstrates the use of this Index for an urban beach in San Francisco, CA, USA.
