<p class="p1">This study aims to identify the position of the livestock subsector within the framework of the agricultural sector development in the Boyolali District. Furthermore, this research also aims to formulate livestock sector development strategy as an effort to improve its performance. This study is a descriptive analytic with analysis tool used is the Typology Klassen and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the livestock subsector is a potential sub-sectors which means that this sub-sector contribution is greater than the GDP contribution Boyolali district but it has a slow growth rate. Livestock sector development strategy in Boyolali district as follow: Increased production of farm commodities and processed products, strengthening of agroindustry based commodity / farm products, strengthening of capital for farmers and agroindustry, marketing business development for farm commodities and processed products, increase the role of cooperatives and GKSI for support of livestock sub-sector performance and development of fodder innovation.</p>

ABSTRACTThe implementation of regional autonomy aims to optimize its resources so that the community welfare and employment increased accompanied by equitable distribution of the fruits of development. In East Sumba district, one of the potential sectors are agriculture, particularly in the livestock sector. However, management at livestock subsector still experiencing various obstacles, so that development objectives have not been fully achieved. The purpose of this study is to (1) analyzing the potential and role of the livestock sector to the economic development in East Sumba district, and (2) formulating alternative development strategy of the livestock sector in order to boost the economy in East Sumba District. The analysis tool used is LQ (Location Quotient), SSA (Shift Share Analysis), and analysis of SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat). The results of this study indicate that the livestock sector is able to contribute or role for the economy as seen from its ability to meet the growing demand from both inside and outside the territory of East Sumba district. Strategy development of the livestock subsector in East Sumba district are: (1) the provision of infrastructure (roads into the center of the product of the livestock, electricity, water, and financial institutions, (2) the procurement of feed industry and processing of livestock, and (3) enforcement of the rules (laws and customs) pertaining to the establishment of development centers, management of communal land, livestock inter-island trade and other supporting institutions. Therefore, (i) intensification of livestock raising is required to provide adequate food and promoting the availability of infrastructure for the survival of farms, (ii) required formal enforcement (enforcement problem of theft of livestock) andinformal (restriction of the number of animals in a custom implementation of activities) to support the development of livestock for improving the welfare of society.

The development of endowments land in the agricultural sector is very essential because it is one of the strengthening sectors of the Indonesian economy. This study aims to identify the development of sustainable endowment strategies through the agricultural sector at Yayasan Pemeliharaan dan Perluasan Wakaf Pondok Modern (YPPWPM), Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo. To identify the endowments development strategies in the agricultural sector this research is qualitative. The result shows that Yayasan Pemeliharaan dan Perluasan Wakaf Pondok Modern (YPPWPM), Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo carried out three-factor systems for the sustainable development strategy. First, using the waqf land rental system. Second, the development of the management system. and thirdly, the profit-sharing system with the concept of mazara'ah. On the other hand, the results of the SWOT analysis indicate that this model is worth continuing to develop sustainable endowments so that the benefits of endowments can be fulfilled continuously.

 ABSTRAK Kawasan konservasi mangrove di Desa Bedono memiliki luas ± 300 hektar. Sebagian masyarakat memanfaatkan buah dan daun mangrove jenis Avicennia sp. untuk diolah menjadi makanan ringan. Keindahannya banyak menarik perhatian pengunjung untuk berwisata. Potensi tersebut belum dapat dikelola secara maksimal, sedangkan kegiatan konservasi mangrove yang dilakukan oleh Kelompok Mangrove Bahari sebatas melakukan penanaman mangrove, monitoring, dan penyuluhan.  Alternatif strategi yang tepat dibutuhkan oleh Kelompok Mangrove Bahari supaya dapat mengembangkan kegiatan konservasi mangrove di Desa Bedono. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1.) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kegiatan konservasi mangrove; dan 2.) memperoleh alternatif strategi yang tepat untuk mengembangkan kegiatan konservasi mangrove di Desa Bedono. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskripsi studi kasus. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Data yang diperoleh didiskusikan melalui fokus grup diskusi (FGD) untuk diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan kegiatan konservasi mangrove di Desa Bedono adalah faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Prioritas alternatif strategi yang terpilih adalah menjaga dan meningkatkan kelestarian ekosistem mangrove, meningkatkan koordinasi dengan stakeholders, melakukan konsultasi dalam bidang ekowisata mangrove, melakukan studi banding ke objek ekowisata mangrove, dan melakukan kerjasama dengan pihak yang berkompeten dalam bidang produksi dan pemasaran produk olahan mangrove. Kata Kunci : Mangrove, Konservasi, Pengembangan, Strategi ABSTRACT The Mangrove conservation area in Bedono village  covers an area of ± 300 hectares. While, the Mangrove Bahari group’s conservation activities are limited to planting mangroves, monitoring, and counceling. Therefore, alternative strategies are needed for the Mangrove Bahari Group to develop mangrove conservation activities. The purpose of this study is : 1.) to determine the factors that affect mangrove conservation activities; and 2.) to obtain appropriate alternative strategies for developing mangrove conservation activities in Bedono village. The research used a descriptive case study method in which a set of interviews, observation and literature studies were adopted. SWOT analysis and a focus group discussion (FGD) with all members of Mangrove Bahari Group was applied in the formulation of development strategies. The analysis showed that the factors that influence the development of mangrove conservation activities in Bedono village are internal and external factors. The priority recommendation include the maintenance and improvement for the sustainability of mangrove ecosystems, improvement of  coordination with stakeholders, consultation of management mangrove ecotourism, comparation studies of mangrove ecotourism, and  cooperation of production and marketing mangrove processed products.. Keywords: Mangrove, Conservation, Development, Strategy.

The role of Agricultural sector isn't only to ensure food supplies but also as an income generating through export activities. Padang is potentially developed to modern agriculture due to vast number of agriculture land.  Base on regulation No.18 of 2004 on RPJP and Regulation No.9 of 2009 on RPJM, Padang is declared as Agropolitan area. The Agropolitan concept is expected to increase agriculture-based development, because the GDP share of agriculture is relatively small. This study aims are to  analyze a basic food crops, 2) to choose the region which will develop as agropolitan area base on availability of facilities and infrastructure in that region and 3) to formulate development strategies of agropolitan area. The analysis of LQ indicate rice crop as the basic commodity with the LQ greater than one. Skalogram analysis and diamond porter show that Sub District Kuranji is potentially developed as a growth center in the Agropolitan Area because it has the most complete facilities and infrastructure. In this research the development strategies are to develop agricultural infrastructure (sub terminal of agribusiness) and institutional strengthening of capital institution.

The study aimed to (1) describe the characteristics of the socio-economic, (2) describe the characteristic of ecological farming in the region KPHP unit II Bolaang Mongondow district, and (3) analyze the development strategy KPHP Unit II in the district based on empowerment Bolaang Mongondow cultivators. This research was conducted with descriptive and semi-quantitative approach. Data analysing for the development of management strategies used SWOT analysis. The primary data obtained through interviews in three (3) villages namely Pindolili, Village Pindol and Village Totabuan to 20 informants, consisting of 3 (three) the village chief, two religious leaders in the two (2) village, 2 (two) historians the formation of the village and 12 (twelve) cultivators in three (3) villages. While the secondary data obtained through statistical data and information obtained from the forestry policy forestry official website. Results of research on (1) socio-economic condition around the area KPHP unit II Bolaang Mongondow district shows that the agricultural sector is still the main source of livelihood of society. Socio-cultural conditions of communities in the study area are a heterogeneous society with different ethnic groups. They are still implement a culture or tradition that can threaten the sustainability of their livelihoods; (2) Ecological condition in the area KPHP unit II shows that the high danger of erosion due to geography land that shaped mountains with slope ranging from moderate to steep and the actions of farming and poor land management on critical land of steep hills. (3) Based on the results of the SWOT analysis for development strategy is the designation of priority and urgency, the development of nature tourism potential for increased use of environmental services, increased perception and participation of the formal integration of development and the development of food security by reforestation and forest conservation. The implementation strategy of forest management in the region KPHP unit II Bolaang Mongondow needs to be done in the form of maintenance of the water catchment area to ensure the availability of water production for the dam in the village Pindol, increasing role in the development of tourism and recreation participation of the parties primarily concerned to control encroachment and set the direction and strategy of development associated with the function of the ministry of forestry.

This study aims to (1) identify the leading sectors in the economic structure of East Bolaang Mongondow Regency as information and consideration in (2) formulating regional development strategies. This study uses time series data from Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) of East Bolaang Mongondow Regency and North Sulawesi Province in 2010 - 2016. The analysis tool used in this research is Klassen Tipology, Location Quotient (LQ), and Shift Share analysis to determine the leading sectors and SWOT analysis. The result of per sector analysis based on these three analytical tools shows that which is the leading sector in East Bolaang Mongondow Regency with criteria of advanced and fast growing sector, basic and competitive sector, there are 2 sectors: (a) agriculture, forestry and fishery sector, (b) mining and quarrying sectors. To formulate regional development strategy used SWOT analysis tool. Based on the SWOT analysis, the strategy of regional development at East Bolaang Mongondow Regency with the superior sector is in quadrant III so that the appropriate strategy is turn around strategy. The Weakness Opportunity Strategy in Quadrant III, means minimizing weaknesses by taking advantage of opportunities.

Pengembangan rumput laut di Pulau Nain membutuhkan strategi untuk meningkatkan kembali produksinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan strategi-strategi dalam pengembangan budidaya rumput laut. Penyusunan strategi menggunakan analisis strategi pengembangan yang terdiri atas: analisis lingkungan, SWOT dan QSPM. Tiga prioritas strategi yang direkomendasikan untuk pengembangan budidaya rumput laut yakni: Mengefektifkan peran DKP dan lembaga terkait dalam pembinaan dan pengembangan SDM; peningkatan sumber permodalan usaha; dan  pengadaan pola kerjasama kemi­traan pasar. Kata kunci: strategi pengembangan, rumput laut, produksi, SWOT, QSPM, analisis lingkungan.   The development of seaweed cultivation in the Nain Island requires appropriate strategies to re-enhance its production. The objectives of this study is to determine strategies in developing the seaweed cultivation. Development strategy analysis was used as steps to determine strategy for the development of the seaweed cultivation. Analysis of the development strategy consists of: environmental analysis, SWOT analysis and QSPM. The three priority strategies for development of seaweed cultivation are as follows: Maximizing the role of DKP and related institutions in coaching and developing human resource; increasing the venture capital sources; dan procurement of market partnership patterns. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the leading sectors and their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to economic development in disadvantaged areas using the LQ, Shift-share, Klasen Typology, SWOT analysis methods. The results of this study conclude: 1) the economic structure of each region (Sampang, Bangkalan, Situbondo, and Bondowoso) is dominated by the agricultural sector, this is supported by abundant natural resource potential, such as the extent of agricultural land; 3) from the demographic aspect, the people in each disadvantaged area, most of whom work in the agricultural sector, either as farmers or as farm laborers; and 4) based on the discussion above, the resulting strategy is based on the development of the agricultural sector, including: a) optimizing management, utilization of natural resources potential, and investor interest in increasing employment; b) improving the quality of human resources for farmers and fishermen, PPL personnel and information networks by utilizing technology in order to increase production capacity; c) improving facilities and infrastructure, as well as improving technology to increase investment, especially in leading sectors; and d) strengthening regional institutions, trade institutions and management of leading sectors in facing competition between regions.

The shoe laundry business is one type of MSMEs in the fashion sector which is included in the creative service industry. The demand for the shoe laundry business is increasing, especially for students, workers as well as busy housewives. Shoe laundry services are an alternative to save time and energy. To be able to maintain existence in achieving the goals of a business unit, a development strategy needs to be done. This study aims to identify internal and external factors, analyze the factors that influence the Step'nShu laundry development strategy and determine the formulation of a development strategy. The sampling technique was using purposive sampling method. The number of respondents was 5 respondents who are owners, employees, fashion experts. The research was conducted using the key success factor analysis tool, IFE, EFE to analyze internal and external factors of the Step'nShu Laundry Shoes, IE matrix to see where Step'nShu's position, SWOT to map alternative strategies and QSPM to formulate strategic priorities. Based on the research results, The strategy formulation results from the SWOT analysis resulted in eight alternative strategies, namely utilizing social media and education about shoe laundry, clarifying the positioning of the Step'nShu Laundry Shoes, more active and consistent promotion, better employee recruitment, studying competition with similar services, holding events regarding socialization of shoe hygiene, using the latest shoe washing technology tools and planning to open new branches. The QSPM analysis produces the main priority strategy, namely promotions that are carried out more actively and consistently. Keywords: development strategy, EFE, IFE, SWOT, QSPM.

Cilacap is one of the districts in Central Java that has tourism potential with various tourism destination. One of them is Waduk Kubangkangkung. This Waduk Kubangkangkung is a tourism destination that offers beautiful natural tourism and also attractive tourism attraction. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the local community in Waduk Kubangkangkung development, knowing the manager‘s efforts in developing Waduk Kubangkangkung as a sustainable tourism destination, and finding the development strategy of Waduk Kubangkangkung to attract tourists . While the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and SWOT analysis. The results of this study are the need for collaboration between managers and other stakeholders towards Waduk Kubangkangkung, improve promotion and also facilities that needed by tourists.
