The purpose of this research is :1) To know the forms of isim in the syair Aqidah Muslim from the side of ta'yin he said. 2) To know the influence of isim forms in terms of ta'yinnya on its meaning in the poem. This research is very useful to look at the influence of isim forms of different points of view as the authors described in this study as a reference as well as to add insight into related things. The type of research used is Pustaka Study. This study can be summed up: 1) Isim contained in syair Aqidah Muslim seen in terms of ta'yinnya is: 1) Ma'rifah:102 words (Dhamir:45, Isim 'Alam:8, Isim Isyaroh:3, Isim Maushul:1, With Alif Lam:32, Ma'rifah because Idhofah:13) and Nakirah: 62. 2) That the forms of Isim in terms of ta'yinnya affect the meaning such as the use of isim ma'rifah to show that a word is devoted to a certain purpose deliberately made by the author to make it easier for the reader to understand the meaning of the word clearly, among them isim dhamir, isim 'alam, isim isyarah, isim maushul ma'rifah with alif lam and mudhof to ma'rifah. While the use of isim nakirah is to indicate that a word is intended with a broad aspect without limitation in understanding the meaning of the word.

Due to asynchronous development, gifted children often experience the world differently than their same-aged peers. Some experience unique intensities, or overexcitabilities, that render modifications in teaching and parenting. These intensities typically take on characteristics of emotional, intellectual, imagination, psychomotor, or sensual overexcitability. In this in-depth interview study, I explored parent perceptions of intensity in their gifted adolescent children. Three mothers participated and completed the Overexcitability Inventory for Parents-Two (OIP-II) prior to each interview. The parent responses to the OIP-II served as an elicitation device to begin our conversations. Thematic analysis revealed three main themes among the participants’ perceptions: (1) challenging behaviors of intense gifted children, (2) consequences of intensity, and (3) a parent’s search for understanding. These findings inform the understanding of intensity and overexcitability from parents’ points of view and provide insight into how intense gifted children behave outside of the classroom. I conclude the article with questions to consider regarding how to better support parents of young gifted children.

The opera Telemaco, with a libretto by Marco Coltellini and music by Christoph Gluck, occupies a unique position as an opera seria that negotiates both tradition and reform. Scholars have long criticized the opera because of its ill-shaped libretto and uneven musical setting. This article contributes to the ongoing debate about operatic reform by reevaluating Telemaco based on its literary sources—Homer’s Odyssey and Fénelon’s novel Télémaque (1699). The absorption of Homer and Fénelon into the fabric of Telemaco goes well beyond adaptation, touching both its general dramaturgy and the specific creation of its characters. Set on the island of Circe, Coltellini's libretto echoes the timeless, liminal status of the corresponding islands (Circe’s and Calypso’s) found in Homer and Fénelon. The characters reflect and blend features of their literary counterparts. They fall into two groups: those who fight their captive condition through impetuous behavior (Circe and Telemachus) and those who attempt to circumvent their predicament by clinging to a golden past (Asteria) or yearning for a hopeful future (Ulysses’s desire to return home). Gluck’s expression of the characters’ longing and identity, achieved through a manipulation of form and textual re-composition, thus implies multiple temporal directions, suggesting a series of synchronic, revolving points of view that challenge the diachronic unfolding of events typically associated with opera reform in the eighteenth century. This method of analysis therefore offers insight into the creative process and helps refine our understanding of reformist opera, both in Gluck’s output and broader eighteenth-century operatic practice.

The purpose of this article is to offer an insight into the role of foreseeability in imposition of civil liability. The article contains analysis of the principle of foreseeability from various points of view, for example, by analysing it from the perspective of the general (fault-based) model of liability as well of the strict liability. Likewise, the article analysis the role of foreseeability during determination of preconditions to civil liability, for example, by introducing it into the concepts of “fault” and “causation”. The aspects referred to in this article are predominantly analysed from the theoretical perspective. The article references various legal sources from different countries, which allows other legal scholars to use the conclusions offered herein.

Research aim: The aim of this study is to examine the possibility of a gap in perception between Shariah practitioners and customers of Islamic banks on the importance of Shariah disclosure by Islamic banks. Design/ Methodology: Questionnaires were distributed to Shariah practitioners, consisting of Shariah committee members and Shariah officers, and Islamic banks’ customers who were lecturers and final year accounting students. The concept of expectation gap derived from the auditing literature was extended and applied to this study’s context. A total of 64 and 200 questionnaires were distributed to Shariah practitioners and customers of Islamic banks, respectively. The response rates were 41% for Shariah practitioners and 65% for Islamic banks’ customers. Research findings: The results indicate that Shariah practitioners and customers perceive all Shariah disclosure items as important to be disclosed. However, a few significant differences were noted between both groups, suggesting the existence of an expectation gap, albeit minimal. Only a minimal gap between the selected customers and practitioners may be reasonable, as the group of customers consisted of informed customers. Theoretical contribution/ Originality: This study contributes to knowledge as there is a dearth of literature that determines customers’ perceptions of Shariah disclosure. Practitioner/ Policy Implications: The results provide regulators and Islamic banks with valuable insight into the importance of Shariah disclosure items from the points of view of customers and Shariah practitioners on which items they concur as important and which items they differ in opinion. Limitation/ Implication: This study is an initial effort to examine the expectation gap between knowledgeable customers and Shariah practitioners on the Shariah disclosure made by Islamic banks. The customers are respondents from only one university; hence, there is a limitation concerning the generalisability of the findings. Thus, future research could extend such an investigation to other customers in order to enhance generalizability.

The growing incidence of juvenile delinquency during the past years has become a serious concern of the general public and the authorities. Following the lead taken by the Home Office, a number of local authorities, child guidance clinics and welfare agencies have instituted inquiries into the causes and conditioning factors of juvenile crime from the social, economic and medico-psychological points of view. The institutions for the mentally defective have been faced with the same problem through the increasing number of cases referred by the juvenile courts, and Dr. D. Turner, in his Annual Report on the Royal Eastern Counties Institution, Colchester, for the year 1943, called attention to the difficulties of their management within an institution of the usual type. The question calls urgently for a settled policy regarding their disposal and treatment, and it goes without saying that this can only be attained on the ground of a better insight into the psychology of the delinquent defective.

In this chapter, the authors define pedagogy after having given an insight into so-called new pedagogies, comparing them with traditional pedagogy. Then they define the different types of pedagogies by offering examples each time. And they then define andragogy after proposing a historical overview of the concept. Then the authors define the principles of andragogy. Finally, they propose a comparison between pedagogy and andragogy according to the researchers' points of view by first proposing a comparison between the child and the adult.

Abstract 1. The acetone-extractable substances from different natural rubbers have an appreciable influence on the index of refraction of their hydrocarbons. This influence is different in the case of Hevea rubbers from that in the case of African rubbers, for example. 2. The indices of refraction of different kinds of raw rubber after extraction likewise differ appreciably. These differences may be attributed in part to the different quantities of benzene-insoluble non-rubber substances, in part to differences in the degree of polymerization of the different hydrocarbons. 3. A study of the influence of mastication, depolymerization by heat and oxidation on the magnitude of the light refractive exponents of rubber and gutta-percha shows that there are characteristic differences between the two kinds of hydrocarbons, at least as far as the initial stage of oxidation is concerned. 4. From the purely practical and laboratory-testing points of view, it is possible to detect quickly and easily differences in the same kinds of raw rubber which are originally present or result from mastication, and to follow the course of mastication. 5. Furthermore it appears possible to draw conclusions regarding the constitution of rubber and gutta-percha hydrocarbons from differences in their viscosimetric and osmotic behavior. Accordingly the refractometry of rubber and gutta-percha hydrocarbons may furnish a new way of gaining a deeper insight into the structure of these natural substances.

The dispute over whether burial rites should be frugal or lavish is a prominent feature of late Zhou philosophical literature. It originated with Mozi's attack on ritual and then continued unabated as the Ru and Mo schools argued the issue and hurled epithets at each other. The two Lüshi chunqiu chapters “Jiesang” and “Ansi” represent the arguments in favor of moderation in the middle of the third century B.C. While the chapters clearly owe their overall position to their Mohist forebears, they nonetheless ignore or reject several arguments that are central to the Mozi. Nowhere in them do we see, for example, Mozi's urgent call for the conservation of resources. On the other hand, they embrace Ruist concepts, most prominently the innate feeling of loyalty and concern that the Mengzi claims mourners have for their deceased relatives. The Lüshi chunqiu justifies its arguments by pointing to changing social realities, most notably an uncontrollable epidemic of grave robbery. Other features of style of disputation in the Lüshi chunqiu can be traced to the text7s attempts to blend together harmoniously what were originally conflicting points of view. None of the sources in the debate provides much insight into ancient conceptions of death and the afterlife. The elaborate architecture and rich furnishings of tombs excavated in the last several decades are not so much a contradiction of arguments in favor of moderation as they are testimony of a system of religious belief not at all reflected in philosophical literature.

Background: At the end of their infant’s NICU stay, parents are expected to assume full responsibility for their infant’s care. It is important to look at discharge practices from the parents’ points of view to see whether our strategies are effective. Objectives: Review the literature for studies that give insight into parents’ perceptions of the discharge process in order to assist health care providers in evaluating the available research and to identify any gaps in the literature.Method: A literature search was performed to identify published studies that discuss parental perceptions related to their preparedness for their infant’s discharge home from the NICU.Results: Data from the parents’ perspective were lacking. There are limitations in the data that are available. Parents are not prepared for discharge and have unanswered questions. Parental perceptions are different from health care professionals’ perceptions.Discussion: The studies that have been done need to be repeated in different centers, with greater sample sizes, and with subjects of different cultures, ethnicities, and socioeconomic status. There is a need for more research into parental perceptions of preparedness for their infant’s discharge and ways to increase parental preparedness for discharge home from the NICU.
