The intercomprehension (IC), a spontaneous faculty and a form of communication when each person uses his or her language and understand the language of the other, is also a didactic approach aiming to develop the comprehension competences in several languages of the same linguistic family. The European research focus has been mainly on the written intercomprehension skills and methodologies while the oral intercomprehension has been studied without being a priority objective. A shared oral IC didactic methodology doesn’t exist. Therefore our research-action aims at designing new teaching paths to facilitate the oral IC listening of three languages: Portuguese, Spanish and French. The first experimentations focused on the learners difficulties and their strategies during the task of listening several languages never formally studied before. On the basis of the results from these studies about the nature of difficulties and strategies in the participants perception, a new case study was designed referring to the cognitive-emotional approach in languages teaching. The case study object was the IC oral course carried out between 2016 and 2017 at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. The experimentations prove that it is possible to facilitate word recognition in the sound stream enhancing cognitive and emotional factors of learning process that the IC approach activates by its own nature. The IC approach then contributes to valorise linguistic, extra-linguistic and meta-cognitive competences and shows that the plurilingual methodology can also benefit to the learning of one specific language and has an important impact on languages learning motivation.

Video games that are used as teaching tools are called serious games. However, there is an important factor that is not usually considered in the design of serious games— the inclusion of people with disabilities. Inclusion can be reached only if accessibility takes on an important role for all. On the other hand, new trends have resulted in different smart devices being used in classrooms. These devices also allow for applications, such as serious games, to be used to support people’s learning process. Despite this, these applications are generally not multi-platform and do not usually consider accessibility features for people with disabilities. This paper proposes a method to develop accessible online serious games that consider people with disabilities as potential users. The method is applied in the case study of an online serious game that teaches about the architecture of a computer in a fun and entertaining way. The method also presents and describes several guidelines to improve online serious game accessibility for people with disabilities. Finally, tests are conducted with some users to gather information about the online serious game and the accessibility features included. This study has important implications for the development of learning tools that consider people with disabilities.

Motivation is the key factor in learning process. Both extrinsic and intrinsic types of motivation are needed for better learning. Intrinsic motivation is more essential than extrinsic motivation. It is intrinsic motivation that urges a learner to learn with devotion, enthusiasm, concentration and with remarkable outcomes. This case study has been conducted to highlight the role of both types of motivation and draws conclusion how intrinsic motivation is more helpful in the learning. The movie, ‘3 Idiots’ has been ‘semiotically’ analyzed to investigate the theme of motivation in the process of learning. The analysis has been done by using semiotic model of signification by Ferdinand de Saussure. The images in the movie have been selected for the semiotic analysis. All of the main characters are, in one way or the other motivated, or not, towards the learning process.

To achieve learning objectives, the enthusiasm of students has an existence that cannot be negotiated, its nature is inherent. This is because the learning process requires awareness and mental readiness that requires a desire or encouragement to learn. In practice, factually, in Islamic religious education, learners from non-Muslim families and converts have its challenges. This reality can be found as is the case in SMAN 16 and SMAN 17 Surabaya city. This study aims to identify the characteristics of learning motivation through the approach of learning psychology. Researchers conduct interviews and in-depth observations in natural setting situations through qualitative research methods with a case study approach. This method aims to describe, analyze phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, perceptions, and thoughts of individual people. The study found that: First, the problem in the motivation of learning Islamic Education, both mualaf and non-Muslim family students concerning psychic aspects, methods of spending and materials that are too "overdosed" for the size of beginners. Problems like this, can be minimized if the teacher correctly understands the learners' characteristics, plans a mature learning, and uses fun media. Second, the problem of learning motivation in Islamic Education, which includes extrinsic and intrinsic aspects, can be overcome if the teacher acts not only as a conveyor of knowledge but also as a source of inspiration and motivation. Thus, teachers can become trendsetters of science, morality, and inspiration for their students. Increased learning motivation is therefore, not only packaged for “how to know” but also “how to do and feel.”

This document seeks to identify the elements in teachers’ practice that allow generating a discussion in the classroom about the concept of fraction and provide learning opportunities to students. To this end, we start from two situations-problems generated by the teacher, one of them is the introduction of the concept and in the other, which corresponds to a later stage of the teaching-learning process, the students have to handle the concepts learned. The research methodology used is qualitative, since it is based on a case study. The data were collected by recording two classroom sessions and the Knowledge Quartet (KQ) was used as a methodological framework, emphasizing its four dimensions: foundation, transformation, connection and contingency. Learning opportunities vary from one task to another. The first one, on being an introductory activity, is more related to connection, while, in the second, foundation and transformation have more weight. However, in both, contingency emerges as a key aspect to delve into the understanding of the concepts.

This aims to review and analyze the Jordanian experiment in the developmental regional planning field within the decentralized managerial methods, which is considered one of the primary basic provisions for applying and success of this kind of planning. The study shoed that Jordan has passed important steps in the way for implanting the decentralized administration, but these steps are still not enough to established the effective and active regional planning. The study reveled that there are many problems facing the decentralized regional planning in Jordan, despite of the clear goals that this planning is trying to achieve. These problems have resulted from the existing relationship between the decentralized administration process’ dimensions from one side, and between its levels which ranged from weak to medium decentralization from the other side, In spite of the official trends aiming at applying more of the decentralized administrative policies, still high portion of these procedures are theoretical, did not yet find a way to reality. Because any progress or success at the level of applying the decentralized administrative policies doubtless means greater effectiveness and influence on the development regional planning in life of the residents in the kingdom’s different regions. So, it is important to go a head in applying more steps and decentralized administrative procedures, gradually and continuously to guarantee the control over any negative effects that might result from Appling this kind of systems.   © 2018 JASET, International Scholars and Researchers Association

There are many factors that can lead to internship satisfaction. Working environment is one of the factors that will result to such outcome. However, many organizations discarded the fact of its importance. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant relationship between working environment and internship satisfaction level as well as to determine whether the dimensions of working environment significantly affect internship satisfaction. The said dimensions are, learning opportunities, supervisory support, career development opportunities, co-workers support, organization satisfaction, working hours and esteem needs. A total of 111 questionnaires were distributed to the respondents and were processed by SPSS program to obtain the result of this study. The results reveal that learning opportunities, career development opportunities, organization satisfaction and esteem needs are factors that contribute to internship satisfaction level. In the other hand, supervisory support, co-workers support and working hours are factors that lead to internship dissatisfaction. The result also shows that organization satisfaction is the strongest factor that affects internship satisfaction while co-workers support is the weakest.
