This study was motivated by the case of the disappearance of legal bus services due to their loss in competition with a kind of car services called “Travel” for the corridor of Padang - Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatera, Indonesia. Travel might not legal public transport services, and therefore, in this study is also called un-official public transportation. This study aims to determine the driving attributes for passenger’s satisfaction of un-official public transportation services and to figure out the service attributes that need to be improved according to passengers’ perceptions. Data was collected using random sampling with a total sample of 160 respondents and was analyzed using the Importance Satisfaction Analysis (ISA) method. Quadrant analysis of ISA revealed that the availability of music and air conditioner on-board is not so essential but resulting a higher satisfaction to passengers. Passengers are calling for an improvement of the services by consistently implementing the law against a driver who uses a mobile phone while driving or driving inconsiderately, and improving the courtesy and friendliness of the driver.

Public transport services provided by Bus Rapid Transit TransJakarta has been launched by the local government of DKI Jakarta as a mass and rapid transport mode that can attract the users of personal vehicle to use this mode of transport. Although the passengers are increasing, but the condition has not reached the optimum level yet. This study is done as an attempt to map the image perceived by the users, either frequent users, occasional users, or non-frequent users. The image projected by the users will depend on the experience degree and information each individual has. The method used here is descriptive analysis and reduction factor to obtain the dimensions of image in the respondents’ mind toward TransJakarta bus. The result shows five dimensions that construct the image, namely affective dimension (Eigenvalue = 5,488, or 26% of all variances), dimension of vehicle aspects (Eigenvalue = 1,794, or 8.5% of all variances), dimension of service characteristic (Eigenvalue = 1,635, or 7.8% of all variances), dimension of impact on the trip (Eigenvalue = 1,348, or 6.4% of all variances), and dimension of impact on the user/other people (Eigenvalue = 1,088, or 5.1% of all variances).

The research focuses on using social media (Twitter) as a medium for public transportation services (Bus Rapid Transit - BRT) in Semarang and Jakarta. The research uses Nvivo 12 Plus as a tool in qualitative research methods. The results show that the function regarding Twitter accounts of BRT in Semarang and Jakarta has several differences. The difference is based on information integration services, interaction information and transparency, and adaptive and responsive information services. In conclusion, the information integration on Twitter accounts of BRT in Semarang and Jakarta services works well, but a more dominant function is found in BRT in Jakarta. The Twitter account of BRT in Jakarta provides more information on transportation routes, such as the number of routes and fleets. BRT in Jakarta is a responsive account, responding to questions or mentions given by its users. The high level of activity makes the BRT Jakarta account more active. Moreover, the form of information conveyed by the Twitter account of BRT Semarang has its characteristics because it shows more the character of the region (Central Java).

As the city growing bigger in line with population, urban economics will be alongside daily transportation. The high number of daily transportation need to be accommodated with urban public transport services. In 2011, Bandar Lampung City Government provide Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) as a mass public transportation service in Bandar Lampung City. But, after about 9 (nine) years, the number of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route services is drop. The sustainability is questioned due to the number of passengers and operating routes continuously down, starting from 7 (seven), to 3 (three) then today is only 1 (one) left. But the city without public transportation service certainly become a bad precedent. Rajabasa Route-Panjang is the only Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service exist. The vehicle operating costs calculation shows about IDR 648,101,870 / year, IDR 1,874,252 / day, IDR 312,375 / trip, IDR 8,255 / km, IDR 156,188 / hour and IDR 3, IDR 124 / seat needs to be provided by the regulator/government to ensure the service.

Despite the extensive transit network in Metro Manila, intermodal connections between public transportation services are still fragmented. In response, authorities proposed various multimodal transport terminals around the periphery of the metropolis. However, there is a need to understand how these proposed terminals will impact existing transportation infrastructure and services as well as the current travel demand. This paper proposes a method that quantifies the nearness of any subject to any metric of interest, or in this case, the location of the terminal based on its proximity to existing transit supply and demand at different points in the transport network. It involves a simple methodology that requires only the spatial distribution of relevant transport planning data (e.g., public transport services, public transport passenger activity). It was found that the spatial distribution of the transport terminals in the study area is more closely related to the transit supply. Using the same methodology, several potential locations in Metro Manila (e.g., central terminal, terminal along a major junction) were assessed to see whether these are viable sites for a multimodal terminal. One scenario configuration was found to be better integrated with where trips start and/or end, while another seemed to improve integration of the existing railways.

Abstract-Transport is a facility that functions as the transfer of goods or people from one place to another. Seen in the community environment, in fact there are still a number of transporters who carry out actions outside standardization as well as carrying passengers in excess of the prescribed capacity, this has violated traffic rules and violated the rules on consumer protection, In addition, due to the neglected passenger rights and a lack of awareness of passengers in terms of security and comfort as service users, the authors are interested in lifting the title and conducting research on legal protection for public transport passengers at Trans Serasi Tabanan. The problems of this research are; 1. How is legal protection for public transport passengers as consumers of transportation facilities? and 2. What is the responsibility of the carrier for errors that result in losses for public transport passengers? This research is categorized into empirical research, because it wants to know the form of legal protection for Trans Serasi Tabanan passengers. From the results of the research and discussion show that the lack of awareness of the transporters in paying attention to the safety and comfort of passengers and passengers is also less aware of the importance of their rights to obtain security and comfort in using public transportation services so that their rights as service users are ignored. This legal research is expected for the transporters to pay more attention to the comfort and safety of passengers and the passengers are also more selective in using public transport services so that there are no events that can cause harm in any form.
