Mitra program ini adalah UMKM Batik yang memiliki beberapa masalah ketika kami berkoordinasi sehingga kami menawarkan kepada mereka untuk  mengatasi masalah yang mereka hadapi. Tujuan dari program yaitu pendampingan manajemen usaha yang diterapkan dalam bisnis. Beberapa  solusi akan dilakukan dalam program untuk kelompok Batik dalam manajemen usaha, pemasaran dan kualitas. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengelola usaha batik diadakan Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Manajemen Usaha. Untuk meningkatkan pemasaran kami akan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan inovasi desain dan strategi pemasaran bagi anggota kelompok batik agar memiliki kemampuan dalam memasarkan produknya  dengan harapan akan meningkatkan  penjualan batik mereka.  Kegiatan ini dilakukan dan  peningkatan dalam mengelola dan memasarkan produk bagi pengunjung yang berwisata di Desa. Dengan adanya berbagai desain batik baru serta bahan kain yang baik  meningkatkan produktivitas mereka sekitar 50% dibandingkan sebelum program. Peningkatan penjualan  mempengaruhi produk lokal lain seperti susu, kopi dan makanan desa.  Pelatihan manajemen kualitas, desain dan inovasi berhasil meningkatkan penjualan produk. Our partners are Batik SMEs who have some problems when we coordinate so we offer them to help solve their problems. The aim of this program in business management assistance that is applied to their business.  Solutions will be carried out in the program for the groups in management, marketing, and quality.  Improving the Business, management Training is held.  We will provide training and assistance on design innovations for batik group members so that they can sell and increase sales. The result was an extraordinary increase in managing and marketing products for visitors who traveled in the village. The existence of various new batik designs and good fabrics has increased their productivity by about 50% compared to before the program. This increase in sales affects other local products such as milk, coffee, and village food. Providing management training, designs and innovations that will increase the sales.

IbM activities carried out in the village Jatisari, local village government has formed groups of fish farmers, but due to constraints in the high feed costs, the number of farmers began to decrease from 20 to less than 5 people catfish farmers. Constraints, high feed costs caused by dependence on the feed manufacturers and fish farmers group is limited knowledge about the creation of alternative feed. Limitations in managing the business also experienced group of fish farmers, especially in production planning and financial of the business, through the program IbM, expected these problems can be finished.The IbM program consist of:(1)business management training (business plan), (2) training of feed manufacturing catfish with the use of local waste and can be as alternative feed, (3) training on mastery of engine technology prill fish pellets simple and integrated with dryers that can be used as an alternative to the rainy season. Outcomes of this program can be formed business group catfish farmers are independent, able to manage the business properly, can make alternative feed and capable of implementing the technology.

AbstrakTujuan kegiatan IbM ini adalah memberikan solusi atas permasalahan yang dihadpi mitra dalam mengembangkan usahanya baik aspek produksi dan manajemen usaha melalui proses penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan guna meningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam mengelola limbah kayu dan triplek bekas bongkaran konstruksi bangunan menjadi produk kretif bernilai ekonomis tinggi yang jelas pangsa pasarnya. Target khusus dalam kegiatan IbM ini adalah meningkatkan pendapatan/kesejahteraan mitra melalui penerapan strategi diversifikasi produk yang berorientasi pada aspek pemasaran dan manajemen pengelolaan usaha mitra. Luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini berupa 1) Produk kreatif (Permainan edukatif, lampion hias dan rumah barbie), yang jelas pangsa pasarnya 2) Mesin listrik pemotong kayu yang dapat menunjang perbaikan kualitas produk mitra, 3) Pangsa pasar baru untuk produk yang dihasilkan mitra 4) Laporan Keuangan/Pembukuan untuk usaha kecil yang dapat digunakan untuk memantau perkembangan usaha mitra; dan 5) Karya ilmiah yang akan diterbitkan di jurnal LPM Unimed. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan kegitan IbM adalah optimalisasi pemanfaatan limbah triplek dan kayu bekas konstruksi bangunan dan manajemen pengelolaan UMKM, serta metode pelaksanaannya meliputi: penyuluhan, pelatihan produksi, pelatihan manajemen usaha, dan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di desa paya pasir kecamatan tebing syahbandar kabupaten serdang bedagai berjarak kurang lebih 58 km dari Universitas Negeri Medan. Di desa tersebut terdapat kelompok masyarakat yang memiliki usaha memproduksi lemari pakaian, kandang ayam, dan meja sekolah yang bahan bakunya limbah kayu dan triplek bekas bongkaran konstruksi bangunan. dan berkeinginan untuk mengembangkan usahanya/ meningkatkan pendapatannya.Kata Kunci: Produk Kreatif, Limbah triplek, Rumah BarbieAbstract The purpose of this activity is to provide solutions to the problems faced by partners in developing their business in both production and business management aspects through the extension, training and mentoring process in order to increase the knowledge and skills of partners in managing wood waste and plywood building construction disbursement into high value economic creami product a clear market share. The specific target in this IbM activity is to increase the income / welfare of partners through the implementation of product diversification strategy that is oriented on marketing aspect and management of partner business management. The output generated from this activity is 1) Creative products (Educative games, decorative lanterns and barbie houses), clear market share 2) Wood cutting machine that can support the quality improvement of partner products, 3) New market share for partner-generated products 4) Financial Reports / Bookkeeping for small business that can be used to monitor the development of partner's business; and 5) Scientific works to be published in LPM Unimed journals. The approach method used to achieve IbM's goal is optimizing the utilization of waste of wood plywood and the former of building construction and management of UMKM management, and its implementation methods include: counseling, production training, business management training, and mentoring. This activity is carried out in the village of sand dune cliffs syahbandar district serdang bedagai is approximately 58 km from Medan State University. In the village there are community groups that have businesses producing wardrobe, chicken coops, and school desks that raw materials waste wood and plywood dismantling building construction. and wish to expand its business / increase its income. The villagers of Tumbrasanom have 4 business groups, namely prosperous farmers, totaling 40 people, who do not have automatic tobacco chopper tools. In the manufacture and marketing of tobacco chopper products in the village of Tumbrasanom it is still simple. Then the marketing of its products has not been done online and there is no partner network, therefore it needs to be given a touch of appropriate technology that is environmentally friendly by using automatic tobacco chopper. The activity of disseminating technology products to the public aims to improve the welfare of citizens through increasing tobacco production capacity with automatic tobacco chopper tools using ecotechnology strategies, as well as increasing the value of sales and marketing. Outputs that have been generated from this activity include the development of a number of group members, training in the use and maintenance of automatic tobacco chopping tools, training in the use of automatic tobacco chopper tools, training in tobacco processing and good financial management training and sales and marketing of tobacco products and chopper machines automatic tobacco. The automatic tobacco chopper tool produced is 8 pieces with a capacity of 5 kg/ minute

ABSTRAKTujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan produksi bersih dan manajemen usaha kepada kelompok usaha garam rakyat di Desa (Gampong) Kuala Idi Cut Kecamatan Darul Aman Kabupaten Aceh Timur. Prosedur pelaksanaan kegiatan teridiri dari; koordinasi kegiatan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Kelompok masyarakat yang menjadi mitra pada kegiatan ini adalah Kelompok Putik Meulu.  Kelompok tersebut merupakan salah satu kelompok usaha garam rakyat, dengan anggota kelompok terdiri dari inong balee (janda) yang kehidupan ekonominya serba kekurangan. Kelompok ini telah menjalankan usahanya sejak tahun 2000 dan mampu memproduksi garam setiap hari sekitar 200 kilogram dari lima dapur dengan aset sekitar Rp 23.500.000. Hasil yang didapatkan, dengan adanya pelatihan produksi bersih garam dan berbagai macam manajemen pengelolaan usaha mampu merubah pola pikir mitra terkait dengan proses produksi garam. Dimana dapur garam dibuat permanen, diberi pagar keliling sehingga terhindar dari hewan yang masuk ke dapur garam. Dari aspek produksi, rata-rata produksi garam meningkat menjadi 90 kg/hari. Selain itu, garam yang dihasilkan juga berwarna putih dan bebas dari kotoran. Kesimpulan, dengan adanya pelatihan produksi bersih garam dan berbagai macam manajemen pengelolaan usaha diharapkan dapat membuka pola pikir petani garam mitra untuk menggunakan teknologi yang maju agar produktivitas garamnya meningkat.Kata kunci: garam rakyat, manajemen usaha, produksi bersih garam ABSTRACTThe purpose of this service activity is to provide training in clean production and business management to the people's salt business group in Kuala Idi Cut Village, Darul Aman Sub-District, East Aceh District. The procedure for implementing activities consists of; coordination of activities, socialization, training, and mentoring. The community group that is a partner in this activity is the Putik Meulu Group. The group is one of the people's salt business groups, with group members consisting of inong balee (widows) whose economic life is completely deprived. This group has been running its business since 2000 and is able to produce around 200 kilograms of salt every day from five kitchens with assets of around Rp 23,500,000. The results obtained, with training in clean salt production and various kinds of business management, are able to change the mindset of partners related to the salt production process. Where the salt kitchen is made permanent, it is given a fence around so as to avoid animals entering the salt kitchen. From the production aspect, the average salt production increased to 90 kg/day. In addition, the resulting salt is also white and free from impurities. In conclusion, with training in salt clean production and various kinds of business management, it is hoped that it will open the mindset of partner salt farmers to use advanced technology to increase their salt productivity.Keywords: people's salt, business management, clean salt production

Products Woven or ketak is a handicraft product produced by the ‘artisans’ community in the village of Karang Bayan West Lombok with raw materials from plants ketak. In the process it takes the necessary skills to weave and combine woven ketak with other natural products such as wood, pottery, coconut shell or bone. The marketing of wicker web products has penetrated the export market, especially the Japanese market. Problems experienced by industrial partners or the artisan’s community is the transfer of design from businessmen to crafters (door to door), drying process during the rainy season and business management. Designs are sometimes made by the buyer and sent to the entrepreneur via email. The solving problem that is faced by the producents is the important thing to be done, by approaching the centralized design transfer training (in one place that is done in the partner house).  The next one, making a mechanical dryer with two heat sources located beside left and lower right and LPG-fueled (clean, practical, economical and environmentally friendly). Next step, by providing business management assistance (finance and marketing).

A case study approach within an action research framework incorporating qualitative and quantitative domains was adopted to explore the impact on Queensland farmers of a farm business management extension programme. Three new indices were developed to quantify changes perceived by participants. The first measure, the Bennett Change Index, provided statistically significant evidence that attitudinal and behavioural changes were more frequent in participants with less formal education, but also more frequent in participants who had high urbanisation and self-directed learning index scores. The other 2 new indices, Management Constructs Change and Management Objectives Change, provided evidence of statistically significant changes in participant beliefs about, and attitudes towards, farm business management. Although highly correlated with each other, these changes were unrelated statistically to any of 6 other commonly used biographical or psychometric indices employed; including level of formal education. It is concluded that these new measures, with context-relevant modifications, have potential as aids to programme impact evaluation in a range of agricultural and wider applications. They may provide insights into personal psychological issues that complement direct behavioural measures of change.

AbstractThe purpose of this activity is to empower the potential owned by the partner community. The activities are conducted from July to November 2017. Activity partners are Ati Rohati and home industries Wahyuni. Location of activity in Suka Meriah Village Siosar Kec. Brand Kab. Karo. This village is an area where the relocation of people affected by eruption of Mount Sinabung. Located 110 km from Unimed. Methods of implementation of activities are education, production training, business management training, machine use and mentoring. Output t of this activity is 1) Potato Sticker Machine and 2) Potato Stick. Specifications of potato sticks are: 1) Have nutritional content: Carbohydrates, Proteins, fats, iron, and fiber; 2) Durable and hygienic. Results of activities obtained are partners have knowledge of potato stick processing, actively participating partners, skilled partners using potato sticker printing machine. Preparation of Jembayan Tengah Village towards an agro-tourism area based on agriculture and a creative economy is one of the priorities. BUMDes DJT Berjaya in collaboration with the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) Kampong Seraong to create a sustainable Jembayan Tengah Tourism Village. In terms of organizational governance, BUMDes DJT Berjaya is in crisis, but this organization is open to restructuring management by the community who are committed to advancing the village. This service program is focused on BUMDes management training to improve the governance system and classify business units. In addition, training on the creation and management of village websites was carried out as a first step in digitizing which will work together with kutaicoding.com. The results are an increase in the quality of organizational governance for BUMDes and POKDARWIS as well as the creation of a website that contains profiles, organizational activities and complaint features.
