Democracy is a system of government in which the laws, policies, leadership, and great efforts of a country or other government are directly or indirectly decided by the people. Coronavirus or severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a virus that attacks the respiratory system. The disease due to this viral infection is called Covid-19. Corona virus can cause mild disruption of the respiratory system, severe lung infections, to death. Democracy was limited during the pandemic, fueling the assumption that many governments were trying to concentrate power. Covid-19 makes new habits and raises awareness in many ways. But it is the characteristics of government and the ability to govern that have more impact on maintaining a widespread democratic and political existence than the existence of the pandemic itself.

The corona virus disease, otherwise known as COVID-19, is an extremely communicable and pathogenic viral infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and has spread to almost all the countries in the world. The transmission of the virus is through touching of the nose, eyes, or mouth by a finger that has been contaminated through droplets on a surface when a carrier sneezes or coughs. Since the existing fingerprint devices are predominantly contact based, it implies that they can aid in the transmission of the virus. This paper discusses the application of fingerprint devices in notable places with high rate of COVID-19 infection as well as the threats to fingerprint technologies and the countermeasures. The need to change focus and orientation towards contactless biometric technologies as sure solution to the fear and animosity expressed towards contact-based fingerprint technology is also expatiated.

COVID-19 is a cause of life threating severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) caused by a novel corona virus named as SARS-Cov-2. Since it has 1st been identified in the city of Wuhan in China in December, 2019, it has spread rapidly all over the world. As it is a newly emerged viral infection and any vaccine or specific therapy yet to be proven as clearly effective, multiple therapeutic option with supportive intent as well as search for specific therapy to combat the virus are under vigorous trial around the world. Convalescent plasma therapy is one such investigational therapeutic option for COVID-19 with hope that neutralizing antibodies present in plasma of persons recovered from COVID-19 would be able to neutralize the virus in infected person.

The Covid-19 pandemic in Pamekasan Regency has had a major impact on various aspects of people's lives, especially in terms of health, namely Covid-19 can cause respiratory system disorders, severe lung infections, and even death. The frightening condition of the Covid-19 Pandemic can lead to denial and denial of the truth (Denial Syndrome). Denial Syndrome is a form of self-defense against anxiety against a threatening reality. In the short term Denial Syndrome will help individuals to think logically and make peace with their own fears, but in the long term Denial Syndrome will be dangerous and cause problems for themselves or the environment. Empirical phenomenological research through observations and interviews regarding the behavior of the Pamekasan community in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic shows a prolonged Denial Syndrome, so that the impact is the spread of the virus quickly and widely which results in the number of cases being positively infected with the corona virus and the death increasing. Therefore, every individual must be able to accept and be aware of the existence of the corona virus and its impact on themselves and others by making various efforts so that they can continue to carry out routines without conflicting with government regulations. SARS CoV2 infects the people worldwide and causes a disease named Covid19. It has been first discovered in Wuhan city of central China. Chinese people are presented with severe lung inflammatory pneumonia. No definite cause of their disease could be found, or they could not be cured by conventional anti-viral treatment. The market shoppers and buyers are infected at first through the evolution of any animal sold in the wholesale market of Huanan seafood in Wuhan city. Later, Chinese scientists are able to detect this new type of coronavirus through lab tests. SARS CoV2 has been first transmitted from animals to humans, it is currently able to transmit from human to human. So far, no specific medicine or vaccine has been developed for the disease; therefore, there is no way to cure the disease without intensive treatment at the hospital. This narrative review is written based on SARS CoV2 viral infection. Bangladesh Journal of Infectious Diseases, April 2020; 7(Suppl_1):S32-S35

A highly transmittable and pathogenic viral infection emerged at the end of 2019 in Wuhan, China, and rapidly spread across the World. This infection was named as coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) and the causative agent was named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The careless and irresponsible attitude of the affected people of COVID-19 from the affected countries became the reason to import the deadliest COVID-19 to other countries. Unfortunately, Pakistan is also among those countries struck by the imported cases of COVID-19. The majority of the people in Pakistan are uneducated regarding COVID-19 and are unaware of the severity of COVID-19. Therefore, it is suggested that this is the time to take more strict measures to avoid the situation becoming out of control.

A novel, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), causes severe acute respiratory syndrome and spread globally from Wuhan, China. In March 2020 the World Health Organization declared the SARS-Cov-2 virus as a COVID- 19, a global pandemic. This pandemic happened to be followed by some restrictions, and specially lockdown playing the leading role for the people to get disassociated with their personal and social schedules. And now the food is the most necessary thing to take care of. It seems the new challenge for the individual is self-isolation to maintain themselves on the health basis and fight against the pandemic situation by boosting their immunity. Food organised by proper diet may maintain the physical and mental health of the individual. Ayurveda aims to promote and preserve the health, strength and the longevity of the healthy person and to cure the disease by properly channelling with and without Ahara. In Ayurveda, diet (Ahara) is considered as one of the critical pillars of life, and Langhana plays an important role too. This article will review the relevance of dietetic approach described in Ayurveda with and without food (Asthavidhi visheshaytana & Lanhgan) during COVID-19 like a pandemic.

The global spread of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) that causes COVID-19 has become a source of grave medical and socioeconomic concern to human society. Since its first appearance in the Wuhan region of China in December 2019, the most effective measures of managing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection have been social distancing and lockdown of human activity; the level of which has not been seen in our generations. Effective control of the viral infection and COVID-19 will ultimately depend on the development of either a vaccine or therapeutic agents. This article highlights the progresses made so far in these strategies by assessing key targets associated with the viral replication cycle. The key viral proteins and enzymes that could be targeted by new and repurposed drugs are discussed.

Serological assays can contribute to the estimation of population proportions with previous immunologically relevant contact with the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus. In this study, we compared five commercially available diagnostic assays for the diagnostic identification of SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies. Depending on the assessed immunoglobulin subclass, recorded sensitivity ranged from 17.0% to 81.9% with best results for immunoglobulin G. Specificity with blood donor sera ranged from 90.2% to 100%, with sera from EBV patients it ranged from 84.3% to 100%. Agreement from fair to nearly perfect was recorded depending on the immunoglobulin class between the assays, the with best results being found for immunoglobulin G. Only for this immunoglobulin class was the association between later sample acquisition times (about three weeks after first positive PCR results) and positive serological results in COVID-19 patients confirmed. In conclusion, acceptable and comparable reliability for the assessed immunoglobulin G-specific assays could be shown, while there is still room for improvement regarding the reliability of the assays targeting the other immunoglobulin classes.
