Mite “Massudilalong Sola Lebonna” dalam Tradisi Lisan Toraja

AbstractThis paper aims to examine the relevance of  Massudilalong Sola Lebonna myth and the life of Torajan community. Massudilalong Sola Lebonna is one of Torajan oral literature forms which is still believed to this day by Torajan community. It serves as an adhesive tool for interpersonal relations and sources of laws and regulations that could open hearts and minds of the people and encourage them to be honest, polite and knowledgeable on manners and custom in their social life. In this study, a structural approach is used. The method and technique used in this study are descriptive namely to expose just what it is. Data were collected by means of note taking techniques, interviews, recording and literature study. The result of the research shows that the myth of Massudilalong Sola Lebonna is highly relevant to the life Torajan community. It is reflected from local wisdoms contained in the myth of Massudilalong Sola Lebonna that becomes basic foundation of interpersonal relationship in Torajan community. The local wisdoms are high self-esteem, firmness, resilience, strong belief and obedience to principles. AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji relevansi mitos dalam Massudilalong Sola Lebonna dengan kehidupan masyarakat Toraja. Massudilalong Sola Lebonna ialah salah satu bentuk sastra lisan Toraja yang hingga kini sebagian besar masih dihayati dan dipercaya oleh masyarakat Toraja. Sastra lisan ini berfungsi sebagai alat perekat hubungan antarindividu dan sumber hukum dan peraturan yang mampu mengetuk hati dan pikiran, serta mengajarkan orang untuk berlaku jujur, berperilaku sopan santun, tahu adat istiadat, dan tata krama dalam hidup bermasyarakat. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kajian ini ialah pendekatan struktural. Metode dan teknik yang digunakan dalam kajian ini ialah metode deskriptif, yaitu memaparkan sebagaimana adanya. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pencatatan, wawancara, perekaman, dan studi pustaka. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa mite Massudilalong Sola Lebonna mengandung relevansi yang kuat dengan kehidupan masyarakat Toraja. Hal itu terlihat dari kearifan lokal yang termuat dalam mite Massudilalong Sola Lebonna dijadikan sebagai landasan pokok dalam menjalin hubungan antarsesama masyarakat Toraja. Kearifan lokal tersebut ialah kejujuran, keteguhan, tegas, tangguh, setia pada keyakinan, kuat menjaga harga diri, dan taat asas.

The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the authors' reception of the colonial discourse in the text of "Orang Rantai"; (2) forms of transformation of the colonial story in the text of "Orang Rantai". This research is descriptive qualitative research type with content analysis method. The approach of this research is the literature of intertextuality appeals with the application of literary receptions theory. The theory of literary reception used is Hans Robert Jauss, Jaus states that the aesthetics of the reception itself is essentially a synthesis of poetic theory and also the theory of interpretation or often called hermeneutics. The object of this research is the story of "Orang Rantai”. The subject of this research is the story of the people "Orang Rantai" is a story that originated from the area Sawahlunto West Sumatra which began as an oral literature, the book “Orang Rantai” written by TIM Lecturer Department of Language and Literature Indonesia UNP, and short story "Orang Rantai" by Pinto Anugrah. Data were collected by interview, transliteration, data inventory, literature study, analysis and interpretation, and conclusions. The result of this study is the transformation of colonial discourse in the text of the chain of content is maintained but there is a change of shapes and styles of storytelling based on the author's receptions of the text of the preceding chain. Transformation of the text is a manifestation as the writer can not avoid the influence of the preceding text and the story is the present according to the times..

One of the traditions that is still preserved today in the village of Gurng Liwut is the wuat wa'i tradition. The procession of the Wuat Wa'i tradition emphasizes the participation of the local community. The preservation of the tradition of wuat wa'i is based on community behavior which upholds the value of solidarity and integrity towards an innovative society in advancing and prospering social life.  The formulation of the problems in this study include (1). How is the function of wa'i in the community of Gurung Liwut Village, Borong District, East Manggarai Regency? (2). What is the existence of the Wuat Wa'i tradition in the people of Gurung Liwut Village? This study aims to determine the function of the Wuat Wa'i tradition and explain the meaning of the Wuat Wa'i tradition for the people of Gurung Liwut Village. This research uses functional theory from Bronislaw Malinowski and Giving from Marcel Mauss. The method used is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and literature study. The analysis used is descriptive qualitative.  The results of this study reveal that in the tradition of wuat wa'i there is a relationship between moral values, economic improvement, and improvement in formal education. The implementation of the Wuat Wa'i tradition is a social movement that raises funds to finance formal education and increase capital for someone who goes abroad, both at home and abroad. There are various processes in carrying out the tradition of wuat wa'i, namely the deliberation of the event organizers, determining the good day, the completeness of the event material.  The conclusion of this research is that the tradition of wuat  wa'i is a clear proof of the motivation of the local community for the importance of learning through formal education and desires to improve the community's economy through experience gained in the land of thechain.

One of the efforts to reduce poverty is through community asset-based empowerment, as has been done by the people of Pentingsari Village, Yogyakarta. Through the Pentingsari Tourism Village program, people who initially relied on income only from agriculture can now be more prosperous through village nature-based tourism management and the social life of village communities. Various development obstacles can be overcome by carrying out development stages. Therefore, the focus of this study is to determine the stages of asset-based empowerment carried out by the people of Pentingsari Village in 2008 - 2018. This study uses a literature study approach. Empowerment in Pentingsari Village shows a relevance to Christopher Dureau's asset-based empowerment theory. In this study, the findings of community asset-based development in Pentingsari Village from 2008-2018 include the six stages of empowerment. The implementation of these six stages has always involved the local community and has brought positive changes to the community. The implementation of the stage of studying and arranging scenarios (define), the stage of uncovering the past (discovery), and the stage of dreaming of the future are carried out continuously, with the role of the pioneer character being more dominant. After that, the asset mapping stage was carried out in a sustainable and sustainable manner, with the asset mobilization stage and the monitoring stage through routine forums attended by community members and village officials.

Art in the Hindu perspective in Bali have a very basic position, because it can not be separated from the Hindu community relegius. Ceremony in pretending (holy place) also can not be separated off from the arts such as singing, dancing, musical, painting, art, and literature. Temples, temples and the others are built in such a way as an expression of aesthetics, ethics, and attitudes of the people relegius Hindus in Bali. Pragina or dancers in a spirit of selfless ngayah or work offered various forms of art as a form of devotion presented to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa (God Almighty). In it there is a sense of devotion and dedication as a form of longing wanted to meet with the source of art itself and the artist wanted to be one with it because the real art of every human being in this world is the spark of art.. The research method used in this research is the Study of Literature. Literature study is research conducted by collecting information from various sources such as books, theses, theses, journals and others to answer and describe the problem formulation in a study. The purpose of this study is to study the Sacred and Secular Arts in Problems in Religious Social Life: The Perspective of Yadnya Hindus in Bali.

This paper is a literature study using a historical approach that takes primary and secondary data from the writings of Mohammad Hatta, autobiography, and writing about Mohammad Hatta. Hatta was one of the important figures for the birth of the Republic of Indonesia who participated in the independence struggle. Hatta is also known as a thinker whose broad spectrum includes economics, philosophy, ideology, politics, social, culture, religion, and education. Religion became an integral part of Hatta since childhood. Islam for Hatta became the basis of personal values ​​that guide behavior. Likewise, religion has a role in developing social, political, and social life. Hatta's Islamic thought style was more substantially patterned, rather than formative. Education was also an identical part of Hatta since the struggle for Indonesian independence. The political task in the main colony is to educate the people to understand their duties, rights, and responsibilities so that new cadres of leaders can be born. After Indonesia's independence, the issue of education became one of the concerns of Hatta. Education for an independent country is an investment in the future of a country.

Bibliotherapy as a technique in the activities of guidance and counseling services at the moment is becoming a necessity in the world where both readings based information in the form of digital print out or have been so familiar with the people who are also experiencing problems in the individual development of their social life . Bibliotherapy often referred to reading theraphy, which is in the process someone who is having problems asked to read books that are helping themselves and motivate in order to promote healing. Read about the difficulties others similar to them, can provide awareness and understanding of the problems faced. This research use descriptive approach or describing a problem based on literature review of existing literature or books in accordance with the guidelines of this study. In the implementation of this paper focuses on the study of literature study using historical study (Dirasat al - Tarikhiyah), which is trying to trace the concepts biblioteraphy, through studies and sources of books on therapy that are relevant to the discussion of this study . Reading activities in bibliotherapy uses age-appropriate books in the treatment and therapy is usually followed by discussions on the topic of life issues in accordance with the experienced conditions. Bibliotherapy is used by school counselors, social workers, health nurses, teachers and librarians. The use of the book as a therapy to support the needs of children in the process information to increase understanding and raise awareness of the problems experienced.

Budi pekerti adalah nilai moralitas manusia yang disadari dan dilakukan dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan menyampaikan nilai-nilai serta pesan moral. Masyarakat Desa Gilangharjo, Pandak, Bantul sampai saat ini masih mempertahankan upacara sedekah bumi yaitu Tradisi Wiwitan yang di dalamnya mengandung nilai-nilai budi pekerti. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan Tradisi Wiwitan di Desa Gilangharjo Pandak Bantul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipasi, wawancara mendalam, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa Tradisi Wiwitan yang dilaksanakan tahun 2019,  jatuh di hari Rabu Pahing bulan Sura atau Rabu tanggal 4 September 2019. Tradisi Wiwitan dimaksudkan sebagai sarana tolak bala (menolak hal-hal yang tidak baik) dan bentuk rasa syukur para petani kepada Tuhan yang telah membebaskan tanaman padinya dari semua hama dan penyakit tanaman padi sehingga siap dipanen. Dalam Tradisi Wiwitan terdapat nilai karakter yang bermanfaat dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat contohmya nilai religi, nilai sosial, saling menghormati antar umat beragama, tanggung jawab.Kata kunci: Tradisi Wiwitan, Uba Rampe, Tolak Bala, Budi PekertiMorality is a value of human morality that is realized and carried out in people's lives and conveys moral values and messages. The results of the study explained that the wiwitan tradition which was carried out this year fell on Wednesday Pahing Sura month or Wednesday, September 4 2019. The wiwitan tradition was intended as a means of repelling reinforcements (rejecting things that are not good) and a form of gratitude of farmers to God who had freeing rice plants from all pests and diseases of rice plants so that they are ready to be harvested. The tourism sector in the southern part of Bali, especially in South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali has been significantly developed with the development of the star-rated hotels. The development of this star-rated hotels certainly opened working opportunities for the foreign labour. In accordance with the increasing number of those foreign labour therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of analysing the factors that motivate foreign labour to work at star-rated hotels in the South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali. The data collection techniques used were limited interviews, documentation and literature study. The population are all expatriates who work at star-rated hotels in South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali based on IMTA data from the Badung Regency Industry and Manpower Office for the 2017-2018 period, with a sample size of 100 respondents selected by quota sampling. The instrument in the form of a questionnaire was used to obtain respondent data. The data analysis technique used in this research is factor analysis. The result of this study showed that the twenty variables of this study were classified into 4 (four) factors, namely: Compensational Factor (Payment and Status), Interpersonal Relationship Factor (Interpersonal Relations), Work Factor (Work Itself), and Development Factor (Personal Development). These four factors were the motivation factors for foreign labour to work at star- rated hotel in South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali. <p><em>The teachings of Hinduism have three basic frameworks, namely tattwa (philosophy), susila (ethics) and events (ritual). The moral aspect is very important in social life because humans cannot live alone. The teaching of morality teaches the ethics of behaving as a living human being with various differences to realize a harmonious relationship with fellow human beings. This is done by the Institut Hindu Dharma Negeri Denpasar (IHDN) Institute as one of the open universities willing to accept blind students. All students, both normal and needy are considered equally entitled to get the highest education. This is an implementation of the teachings of Tat Twam Asi in Hinduism. This study uses theories such as: Functional Structural Theory used to dissect the problem in the form of the implementation of the Tat Twam Asi teachings for blind students in IHDN Denpasar. Symbolic Interaction Theory used to dissect the problem of obstacles in the implementation of the Tat Twam Asi teachings on blind students in IHDN Denpasar. Behaviorism Theory is used to dissect the problem of the impact of the implementation of the Tat Twam Asi teachings on blind students in IHDN Denpasar. To get accurate data used qualitative research methods with data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. </em></p><p><em>This research found the form of implementation of Tat Twam Asi teachings on blind students in Denpasar IHDN in the form of Tri Kaya Parisudha behavior and the practice of Paramita Chess. Two forms of implementation of the Tat Twam Asi teachings have become the function of IHDN Denpasar as one of the Hindu state universities in preparing Hindu human resources who are not only superior in Dharma, Widya, and Culture, but also able to apply the principles of tolerance needed in group life orcommunity. </em></p><p><em>Obstacles in the implementation of Tat Twam Asi's teachings on students with visual implementasion in IHDN Denpasar consist of external barriers in the form of adjustments to the new environment, and internal barriers in the form of limitations in seeing and mentally blind students who are not confident so they become inferior. Obstacles or obstacles can be resolved through mutual understanding among the people by implementing the Tat Twam Asi teachings to overcome any obstacles. Language or symbols used to resolve obstacles must be clear in interacting. The impact of the implementation of the Tat Twam Asi teachings for students with visual impairments in IHDN Denpasar is three, namely the social impact of the formation of kinship and harmonious relations; the impact of religion with increasing religious emotion in the form of gratitude; and the ethical impact of manners, compassion, respect, and openness accept differences. </em></p>
